It is believed that the textbook is a significant medium in the present education system. Textbook is one of the proven authoritative sources to establish values in students in the elementary stage. Students are mostly depended on the textbook at this stage. So it is necessary, the textbook should be a complete package which develops students’ life in all strata of life. NCERT developed NCF in 1975 following the recommendation of Education Policy on 1968. NCERT develops National Curriculum Framework which provides guidelines for developing textbooks and school curriculum. NCF-2005 prepared by NCERT discusses a wide range of issues related school education. So evaluate the textbooks of English of upper primary schools of western region of India in the light of NCF 2005. Textbooks are in the regional mediums. Textbooks of English are assessed with the reference of NCF-2005. English textbooks have almost all the qualities or as per the NCF2005’s suggestion except one parameters. Out of all the textbooks of five states, there is no any activity which is based on “Peace’. Authors found that said textbooks are decent and team of textbook preparation work properly to follow NCF. All the states are followed NCF above 87%. It is a good score

The benchmark for the study of conference interpreting tends to be the institutional market, in which employment conditions are secure and communicative situations, context and terminology will tend to recur. By contrast, conference interpreters working in the private sector face a range of ever-changing circumstances, negotiating each assignment not only in terms of remuneration but also in terms of all aspects relating to working conditions, thus requiring an increased capacity to adapt on many levels. This article presents findings from a pilot study that aims to showcase what interpreters working in the private market actually do before their interpreting assignment, over and above the preparation work that all interpreters put in. After a brief contextualization based on both academic and professional literature, this article presents the responses to two questions posed in our study regarding additional tasks carried out before assignments. Our conclusions are relevant to practitioners, trainees and trainers, as they shed light on current professional practice.

Abstract The study explores how Catholic prelates, priests and politicians evaluated the connections of their Church with the Protestants. It investigates the documents of the last national synod of Hungary (1822), the provincial synod of Kalocsa (1863), and the regional and national Catholic Congresses (1893–1913). In the first part of the century, some intellectuals aimed to create a union between Catholics and Protestants to strengthen the Hungarian nation, and their ideas had some influence even on the preparation work on the synods of the period. At the end of the century, the question of the mixed marriages overshadowed the relations between the denominations, but the Catholic leaders of the People’s Party tried to preserve the opportunity of the political cooperation with the Protestants.

While PPPs have not been as successful as expected, the various kinds of hybrid PPP project forms that have emerged may suggest ways in which PPPs can sustainably generate some value and meet some stakeholder expectations. These hybrids may indeed be successful, but in what ways do they represent significantly reduced expectations regarding the benefits of PPPs, as these projects were conceived in the 1990s? This chapter discusses what is perhaps the most dramatic compromise, the dominating role now played in most of these projects by subsidized or “blended” finance. Governments and their development partners pay for and manage most basic project preparation work, contribute to the capital costs of projects, and provide guarantees and other risk-mitigation mechanisms insisted on by private partners. How should blended finance like this be justified and managed to ensure against market distortion and wasted resources that could be used more productively elsewhere?

AbstractAims:Implementation of novel interventions occurs within broad organisational contexts, which contain many relationships and moving parts. Efforts need to be made to understand these relationships as they are an important predictor of successful implementation. This study examines the relationships between health professionals involved in the implementation of an evidence-based community program for people with dementia and their carers in Australia, The Care of People with dementia in their Environments program. Methods:This study utilised mixed methods including in-depth interviews and organisational diagrams. Qualitative data from 28 interviews were collected from occupational therapists, nurses and their managers. Recruitment ensured a variety of different organisational contexts were represented. Thematic analysis was used to capture key emergent themes.Findings:The strongest relationships were usually between the occupational therapist and their manager. Strong trusting relationships with managers were instrumental in advocating for the need for reablement programs and the occupational therapy professional role in dementia care. Large teams of occupational therapists were seen to be beneficial in supporting each other in case complexities. Relationships between occupational therapists and nurses were often missing or perceived as weak relationships. A conducive physical environment contributed to stronger more collaborative relationships, where individuals were visible and therefore felt to be more approachable. Conclusion:Our study highlights the additional preparation work that is required of organisations to consider relationships in their strategies for implementation.

The article deals with issues related to communication activities taught by foreign citizens. Attention is drawn to the fact that there are many unresolved issues in the methodological literature concerning the passive types of communicative activity. This article is devoted to one of these types ‒ reading, and more specifically to problems related to different types of reading in classes from Ukrainian as a foreign language. After analyzing some of the issues surrounding the topic of the study, attention is drawn to this type of reading preparation work as a study. It is emphasized that professional texts that are of practical importance for foreign students play an important role in the study of reading, helping to master the future profession. The authors of the article provide a brief description of the types of work with texts and recommendations on the types of tasks to work with them. A set of tasks for working with the text "What is Architecture?" is offered. This text can be used in classes with students of the first year of architectural and construction specialties. The pre-reading tasks are described in detail and specific examples of their application are presented (tasks for eliminating lexical difficulties, tasks for working with keywords of the text, tasks for recognizing words on formal and semantic grounds, on learning grammatical constructions, as well as tasks for improving grammatical skills). Examples of tasks that are performed directly while reading are offered, as well as post-reading tasks that are limited to traditional tasks (complete sentences based on text, retype text, etc.). Attention is also paid to the organization of methodical work in which it is possible to achieve positive results, in the text should be relevant, the texts should be selected according to the speech level of foreign students, the tasks before the text should be aimed at overcoming lexical and grammatical difficulties, and after the text should be set by the purpose is to test reading comprehension and to prepare for reproduction of the text.

In this paper was analysed the tasks of construction preparation in the production of women’s pants and the properties of woven fabrics, which affect the thermophysiological and ergonomic comfort. Five different models were observed, which have different cutting lines at the front and back of the sock, different pockets and other details. The duration of construction preparation work in the conventional method and application of CAD system OptiTex were analysed. The ergonomic comfort of the tested models was subjectively evaluated in six differnt body positions, and the results were presented as mean with a number on a scale of 1 to 5. Seven woven fabric samples were used of same composition cotton 67 % and polyester 33 %, the same weave of canvas-rips. The correlatio of structural parameters was analysed: woven fabric density, warp and weft density, with material characteristics that are essential for thermophysiological comfort - air permeability and power of water absorption. It was noticed an increase air permeability, with a decrease in the density of the woven fabric, in most of the samples tested. This is explained by the existence of larger chamber in the structure of the lower density woven fabrics. With decreasing woven fabric density there is a tendency to slightly increase the power of water absorption.
