The article aims at clarifying the classification features of the forms and directions of technology transfer, and analyzing empirical data on technology transfer operations in Ukraine. The effectiveness, efficiency and immediacy of technology transfer depend on the choice of its rational forms and directions of technology transfer. The combined form of transfer is considered to be most promising, as it encompasses the advantages of both the vertical and horizontal transfer forms based on the open innovation business model. Ukraine has prerequisites for the implementation of this form of technology transfer, but it is necessary to increase the innovative activity of industrial enterprises and research organizations, and to increase funding for innovation. In the future the authors plan to suggest an organizational and economic mechanism to increase innovation activity at the enterprise level. In 2007-2019 research and development at industrial enterprises (R&D) accounted for about 15% in the total cost of innovation, in average. The lowest share of R&D in total expenditures on innovation was observed in 2011 (7.5%), and the highest share was observed in 2018, comprising 26.3%. The share of costs for vertical transfer is 69.6-89.5%, which is much higher than that for horizontal transfer, which is 10.5-30.4%. The main reason for the decrease in the level of technology transfer at Ukrainian enterprises is the limited funding from the state and the negative investment climate in the country. The share of non-commercial transfers has been lower than 1% since 2012. Combined transfer based on digital technology platforms is virtually absent.

The article analyzes the economic essence of such an important component for any enterprise as economic security. The importance of protecting the enterprise from all sorts of threats, as well as the need for their constant monitoring, is substantiated. The need to ensure the economic security of the enterprise is determined not only at the enterprise level, but also at the state security level. Two main approaches to the definition of the concept of "economic security" were identified, on the basis of which a definition was given of the concept of "economic security of the enterprise" in modern conditions of functioning on the Ukrainian market. The term “threats” was analyzed, on the basis of which the term “threat to the economic security of an enterprise” was defined. A classification and ranking of threats was formed depending on their nature and the degree of danger they represent. Based on the classification of threats, it was concluded that, in addition to common global threats, threats for each enterprise have certain characteristics depending on its type and nature of activity. It was concluded that the factors of formation of dangers and threats to the activities of the enterprise can be considered from different points of view, depending on the sphere of formation, mechanisms of influence and the possibility of forecasting. Based on the above definition, the causes of global threats, as well as threats at enterprises, are formed, a classification of factors that form threats is given. Given the problems of industrial enterprises in Ukraine, specific threats to industrial enterprises were examined on the basis of criteria put forward by various scientists. It was concluded that threats to the economic security of the enterprise overlap and intertwine, which leads to certain difficulties in identifying them when constructing economic security systems and identifying the subjects and objects of economic security.

In recent years, the environmental factor has played an important role in ensuring the international competitiveness of goods. The combination of stricter environmental standards and fiercer competition in the global market forces companies to use the principles of pollution prevention and rational use of natural resources. Product prices should take into account the environmental factor of it production, as well as savings on further disposal and recycling of waste. Now consumers not only in developed countries, but also Ukrainians prefer products made of environmentally friendly raw materials. Taking advantage of high demand, such products will be able to maintain a leading position in the competition. Research confirms that countries that take into account the environmental factor and have the most stringent environmental standards are usually the most competitive. Environmental requirements are becoming an integral part of the corporate strategy of leading companies in European countries and contribute to the promotion of new products on world markets and the preservation of already won positions in the world economy. Research conducted in Ukraine shows that Ukrainian consumers also choose organic products. The article also analyzes the introduction of new low-waste and resource-saving technological processes at Ukrainian industrial enterprises in recent years, as well as the main sources of funding for environmental costs. The article presents the strategic goals of the state environmental policy, which are specified in the Basic Principles (Strategy) of the State Environmental Policy of Ukraine for the period up to 2030, the implementation of which will help achieve sustainable development. There are also strategic objectives to increase competitiveness, the solution of which will help improve the quality and competitiveness of products and their promotion in foreign markets. In general, the formation of an environmentally friendly economy in Ukraine requires increasing the role of the state with the involvement of all market instruments while actively implementing institutional transformations aimed at improving the efficiency and competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises.

The objective of this work is to define and base the principles of environmental management through the introduction of regenerative (restorative) and productive methods of environmental policy. The problems were solved with the help of such general and special research methods, such as generalization, systematization, analysis, synthesis, and the empirical method. It is argued that the operation of industrial enterprises without a balanced set of appropriate environmental measures always has negative consequences. The formation of environmental awareness of entrepreneurs, assigning to environmental management the status of a mandatory component of the policy to achieve regional environmental objectives, requires greater attention and effective methodological developments. The strategic directions of ecological development of one of the regions of Ukraine are indicated. The essence of the concept of "environmental management" is defined. The definition of "regenerative method of ecological management" and "productive method of ecological management" is offered. In conclusion, scientific ideas on the feasibility of implementing environmental management in companies are presented. The need for ecological measures for the implementation of ecological policy is based.

The prospects of boosting the modernization of Russian industry necessitate the study of resources that might stimulate such endeavors. Contrary to the global literature, Russian publications mostly focus on the studies of generalized and institutional trust, as well as on the influence it exerts on modernization processes at the macro-level. Meanwhile, the impact of intra-firm trust as a factor, contributing to employee involvement in innovation, remains relatively misattended. Our purpose lies in encouraging the discussion of the presence of intra-firm trust and the effect trust has in furthering the processes of technological modernization. The intermediary tasks include the assessment of trust’s prevalence between colleagues, employees, and managers, as well as an analysis of the impact these types of trust have on the employees’ involvement into innovative activities at the enterprise level. The empirical ground for the study includes the results of a formalized survey of main industry workers conducted at three industrial enterprises in the Perm Territory in 2018-2019 (n = 450) using the method of a continuous survey of people present at their workplaces. The input of our research is due to the approach we propose to measure the horizontal trust by examining the vertical trust on several levels of organizational hierarchy; in addition, we employ an expanded list of indicators of employee involvement in innovation. The survey data are collected at three industrial plants. This helps to arrive at conclusions distinct from the published results of the studies of employees, sampled and surveyed per municipalities. Our results manifest the wide expansion of trust in organizations studied. However, we have not discovered any relationships between the organizational trust and actual employees involvement in the initiation and implementation of innovations. The impact of trust was detected only for the employees’ preparedness to take part in the ongoing projects. Thus, trust-building efforts at the workplace have a limited effect on employee involvement in innovations. We stress the importance of considering other factors that make the relationship between organizational trust and involvement in innovation more specific.
