ABSTRAK Permasalahan penelitian adalah mengapa wacana tentang pendalungan dimunculkan berulang-ulang dan bagaimana efek kuasa/pengetahuan dari sisi lain wacana pendalungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menjelaskan kuasa/pengetahuan dalam rangka pembentukan identitas orang Jember melalui pewacanaan pendalungan dan menjelaskan efek yang timbul dari wacana. Manfaat teoritisnya dalam mengembangkan kajian antropologi tentang konsep identitas berkaitan pendalungan beserta efeknya, khususnya dalam pembentukan identitas dengan pendekatan wacana kuasa/pengetahuan. Manfaat praktisnya sebagai masukan kepada masyarakat dan pemerintah dalam melakukan pengembangan tentang identitas warga Jember. Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif menggunakan instrumen studi pustaka dan wawancara. Populasi penelitian adalah seniman, akademisi dan sejarawan. Variabel penelitian berupa identitas, imajinasi dan multikultural. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa identitas bukan lahir dari sebuah situasi yang harmoni dan keseimbangan, melainkan pergulatan,kontestasi, benturan, beradu argumen dan wacana, pergesekan, dinamis dan produktif. Berkaitan dengan itu, simpulan penellitian ini bahwa identitas bukan suatu hal yang tetap melainkan bersifat lentur dan cair atau beragam.Kata Kunci: Pendalungan, imajinasi, identitas, wacana ABSTRACT The research problem formulated within this study is the question of why the pendalungan discourse was repreatedly surfaced and how is the influence of power/knowledge from the other side of this very discourse. This study seeks to unfold the essence of power/knowledge in forming the identity of the people of Jember through the pendalungan discourse as well as to provide an elaboration of the resulted effect from said discourse. The theoretical implication of this study would be the development of anthropological studies concerning the identity and influence of pendalungan, particularly on the formation of identity through the approach of power/knowledge discourse. As for the practical implication, the outcome of this study could serve as a form of valid recommendation both for the people and government in pursuing the development of the identity of Jember people. Drawing upon artists, academics, and historians as the population, this study made use of qualitative approach as the main method as well as literature review and interview as the instrument. A number of variables involved within this study were identity, imagination, and multiculturalism. The result of the study revealed that identity is not to be regarded as an entity born from a harmonious and balanced situation, rather, from an atmosphere that is full of struggles, contestation, clashes, conflicts of arguments and discourse, frictions between parties, dynamics, as well as productivity. From this point, this study embarked upon a conclusion that identity is not something that is fixed or rigid, but flexible and diverse.Keywords: Pendalungan, imagination, identity, discourse

In this chapter, the authors will analyze the concept of competencies and their importance as a driver for global trade growth. The relevance of this research is based on the approach to theories of organizational innovation articulating them with the theories of competencies development. To formulate the research problem, two analytical dimensions were considered: innovation and competencies anchored to the following research question, What are the innovation competencies that can boost global trade? Based on the literature review of recent research (2013-2017), the authors investigated and identified the competencies needed to develop a culture of innovation in organizations. The main goal of this study is centered on the research of more relevant competencies which can contribute to organization innovation processes and develop global trade.

Innovation adoption is a widely understudied area. However, there has been a substantial amount of arguments concerned with the extent to which personality traits affect innovative behavior. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine the extent to which personality traits, namely time orientation and innate innovativeness, influence intentioned adoption of the specific innovation – the virtual nurse assistant. The organisation of the chapter is as follows: The first part of the chapter introduces the study to the reader and starts with the research background, followed by the research problem, rationale of the study, and research objectives. The second part consists of literature review, critically evaluating the relevant secondary sources to derive the research hypothesis. The third part represents the results and findings of the study, followed by the conclusion and recommendations as the closing part of this chapter.

Disability can be defined as a physical or mental condition that barred such individual from properly interact with physical or social environment. This difficulty provided root course for historical marginalization of persons with disabilities in the society and visible in various fields ranging from education to employment and being analysed by various scholars. This literature review explores the question how various scholars approached the social political and legal issues arise out of low employment rate of the persons with disabilities and expressed their views on how to solve them. Since a systematic literature review has not been conducted in Sri Lanka on this topic, to answer the aforesaid research problem, author will evaluate multiple scholarly approaches towards the barriers affecting human resource practices and workplace accommodation for persons with disabilities and explore solutions available in the existing literature to resolve such issues. This research will be based on literature review methodology and first of such work in the field of disability rights in Sri Lanka. Thereby, results of this research will be produced by collecting and synthesizing previous research for advancing knowledge and facilitating theory development. However, literature survey was limited to the works which recently published in English language and meet certain scholarly standards.

Purpose – The paper aims to study the implementation issues and managerial practices impacting the success of strategic performance management system in Indian industry. It has been empirically validated in Indian oil industry. As number of companies adopting SPM has not been able to reap benefit of SPM implementation, a study has been conducted to find reasons in Indian industry. The findings are discussed, and implications for researchers and practitioners are provided in this paper. Limitations and suggestions for further research are also given at the end of the paper. Design/methodology/approach – From the literature review, research problem, critical implementation issues and dimensions of effectiveness of the SPM system have been identified. Accordingly research objectives and hypothesis have been designed and tested by conducting survey in Indian oil industry. The hypothesis that implementation issues are positively impacting the effectiveness parameters of SPM system has been empirically validated using univariate, correlation analysis and multi-variate analyses, t-test, F-test and regression analysis. The validated model has been presented. Findings – A number of critical implementation issues are positively impacting different dimensions of the SPM system effectiveness. SPM managerial/implementation issues such as the use of SPM by top management, selection of right and adequate performance measures, SPM implementation by champions, the use of SPM as a strategic tool, quality and flow of data, incentive scheme aligned with SPM and good organisational acceptance of SPM are critical implementation issues of SPM which affect different dimensions, viz., strategic alignment, strategic monitoring, financial, customer, internal process and learning objectives of the enterprise. Research limitations/implications – The objective was to study SPM implementation issues and its impact of SPM effectiveness. Indian oil industry being early adopters of the advance SPM methodology and tools, has been chosen for the study and empirical validation. The validated model provides a better insight on the linkages of SPM implementation factors with different dimensions of SPM to researchers and practitioners. The validated model can be help tool in SPM implementation, making SPM a success in driving performance improvements in the organisations. Though recommendations are general, a comparatively large sample size across different industries and sectors combining quantitative and qualitative study would further enhance the utility and reliability of the model. Practical implications – The validated model provides guidelines to practicing managers on critical implementation and managerial issues to be taken care of in the SPM system implementation. Originality/value – The research problem has been identified based on literature review. Research objectives and hypotheses have been framed and empirically validated. It provides insight of the effect of implementation issues on different dimensions of SPM effectiveness. The study has filled the research gap of such a study in Indian industries. The validated model provides guidelines to practitioners and researchers and contributes to the literature.

En investigaciones educativas, se argumentan potencialidades que ofrecen las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones (TIC) y especialmente las redes sociales y académicas en el desarrollo de habilidades investigativas del estudiantado. Se realizó un análisis bibliográfico evidenciándose que no se han determinado cuáles de estas habilidades pero asociadas al empleo de las TIC, deben desarrollarse en el estudiantado según las exigencias curriculares de las carreras con perfil informático. Partiendo de estas deficiencias, se determinó como problema de investigación ¿Qué habilidades investigativas asociadas al empleo de las TIC deben de desarrollarse en el estudiantado de carreras con perfil informático? El objeto de la investigación es desarrollo de habilidades investigativas en carreras con perfil informático; el campo de acción: habilidades investigativas asociadas al empleo de las TIC. El objetivo es determinar habilidades investigativas a desarrollar en los estudiantes de carreras con perfil informático en correspondencia al empleo de las TIC. Se obtuvo como resultado un conjunto de habilidades investigativas asociadas al empleo de las TIC y sus respectivos indicadores, que deben dominar los estudiantes de carreras con perfil informático. RESEARCH SKILLS -IN RELATION TO THE USE OF ICT- STUDENTS DEVELOP CAREERS IN COMPUTER PROFILE ABSTRACT In educational research, it is argued potential offered by information and communications technology (ICT) and especially social and academic networks in developing research skills of students. A literature review was performed, demonstrating that they have not determined which of these skills (associated with the use of ICT), to be developed in the students according to the curriculum requirements of computer engineering. Therefore, it was determined as a research problem: what research skills associated with the use of ICT should be developed in the students of computer engineering or similar profiles? The object of the research is to develop research skills in computer engineering; the field of action: research skills associated with the use of ICT. The objective is to determine research skills associated with the use of ICT should be developed in the students of computer engineering or similar profiles. In this paper presents a set of research skills associated with the use of ICT and their respective indicators. Abstract Purpose Researchers frequently encounter the following problems when writing scientific articles: (1) Selecting appropriate citations to support the research idea is challenging. (2) The literature review is not conducted extensively, which leads to working on a research problem that others have well addressed. This study focuses on citation recommendation in the related studies section by applying the term function of a citation context, potentially improving the efficiency of writing a literature review. Design/methodology/approach We present nine term functions with three newly created and six identified from existing literature. Using these term functions as labels, we annotate 531 research papers in three topics to evaluate our proposed recommendation strategy. BM25 and Word2vec with VSM are implemented as the baseline models for the recommendation. Then the term function information is applied to enhance the performance. Findings The experiments show that the term function-based methods outperform the baseline methods regarding the recall, precision, and F1-score measurement, demonstrating that term functions are useful in identifying valuable citations. Research limitations The dataset is insufficient due to the complexity of annotating citation functions for paragraphs in the related studies section. More recent deep learning models should be performed to future validate the proposed approach. Practical implications The citation recommendation strategy can be helpful for valuable citation discovery, semantic scientific retrieval, and automatic literature review generation. Originality/value The proposed citation function-based citation recommendation can generate intuitive explanations of the results for users, improving the transparency, persuasiveness, and effectiveness of recommender systems.

Este trabalho teve como objetivo fazer uma revisão de literatura sobre a temática ambiental no ensino formal realizado no Estado de São Paulo. O problema de pesquisa é: como está sendo trabalhada a educação ambiental nos espaços formais de ensino e aprendizagem? Objetivos específicos: investigar a adoção de atividades educativas ambientais por parte das escolas públicas; perceber como as iniciativas ambientais conduzidas nas escolas públicas podem impactar na conduta cidadã. Para a revisão de literatura adotou-se nesse estudo a Revisão Bibliográfica Narrativa. O levantamento bibliográfico considerou artigos publicados entre 2015 e 2020 nas bases de dados (Google scholar, na plataforma Scielo e no banco de teses e dissertações da CAPES). Para a busca, foram utilizadas as palavras-chave: Ambientalização, Espaço Formal e Ensino. Há escolas apropriadas com locais disponíveis a cumprir o estabelecido nas Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais Para a Educação Ambiental, permitindo o desenvolvimento de projetos, com espírito participativo e coletivo.   This work aimed to make a literature review on the environmental theme in formal education in the State of São Paulo. The research problem is: how is environmental education being worked in formal teaching and learning spaces? Specific objectives: to investigate the adoption of environmental educational activities by public schools; to understand how environmental initiatives conducted in public schools can impact citizen conduct. For the literature review we adopted in this study the Narrative Bibliographic Review. The bibliographic survey considered articles published between 2015 and 2020 in databases (Google scholar, on the Scielo platform and in the CAPES theses and dissertations bank). For the search, the keywords were used: Environmentalization, Formal Space and Teaching. There are appropriate schools with locations available to meet the established in the National Curriculum Guidelines for Environmental Education, allowing the development of projects, with participatory and collective spirit.
