Promoting hope was identified in our prior work as the top priority research question among patients and caregivers with diverse childhood-onset chronic conditions. Here, we aimed to construct a conceptual model to guide future research studies of interventions to improve hope. We conducted eight monthly virtual focus groups and one virtual workshop with patients, caregivers, and researchers to explore key constructs to inform the model. Discussions were facilitated by Patient Co-Investigators. Participants developed a definition of hope and identified promotors and inhibitors that influence the experience of hope. We utilized qualitative methods to analyze findings and organize the promotors and inhibitors of hope within three strata of the socio-ecologic framework: structural, interpersonal, and intrapersonal. Participants identified three types of interventions to promote hope: resources, navigation, and activities to promote social connection. The hope conceptual model can be used to inform the selection of interventions to assess in future research studies aimed at improving hope and the specification of outcome measures to include in hope research studies. Inclusion of the health care system in the model provides direction for identifying strategies for improving the system and places responsibility on the system to do better to promote hope among young patients with chronic illness and their caregivers.

ABSTRACT Objectives: To analyze and reflect on the potential applicability of the contribution of the physical resilience conceptual model of Whitson et al. in the care for older adults. Method: The present article of reflection was structured based on the consultation of articles and definition of inherent concepts, with analysis and reason of the potentialities of its application in geriatric nursing care. Results: Physical resilience is influenced by diverse stimuli. The identification of stressors and early intervention enable the delay of the functional capacity decline. In practice, the planning of interventions that depend on the innate capacity of older adults is of utmost importance. Conclusion: The trajectory outlined over a debilitating event is relevant to understand the factors that contribute to the development of frailty or pre-frailty conditions. This knowledge allows nurses to adjust their practice and contribute to the effectiveness of interventions and a better prevention of the frailty syndrome.

This paper proposes a definition of Creative Learning Community (CLC) that is enabled with technology and its conceptual model in Graduate School of Telkom University. As rooted to learning community term, CLC is defined as a teaching and learning approach within a learning community that consists of a group of students and faculty member that uses creative learning concept. This study adapts the Design Science Research Framework in Information System by Hevner et al to build the conceptual model. First, the study synthesizes existing literature on learning community and creative learning community to define CLC term. Second, based on a review of previous studies and books on learning community, creative thinking, group creativity, engaged learning, student learning outcomes and technology supporting creative learning community, the author analyzes construct candidates of the model. Third, after selecting constructs from the candidates, the study continues by designing the conceptual model of technology-enabled creative learning community. The model was tested the implementations of learning community in Graduate School of Telkom University. The findings provide several conceptual and managerial insights into the role of technology in supporting creative learning community. Future work will need to evaluate the model in the context of other engineering.

The article presents a constructive model of training bachelors in cybersecurity in an educational-digital environment. The concepts of "model" and "modeling" are analyzed. The meaning of the definition of "construct" as a whole, distinguished from other entities of a certain area, which is inaccessible to direct observation, but hypothetically deduced and / or constructed logically on the basis of observed features, with a sufficient degree of experimentally and logically validated, is verified. the concept used to represent it. The scientific position in relation to the conceptual field of the model of preparation of bachelors in cybersecurity in the conditions of educa-?ional-digital environment is determined. Based on theoretical analysis, the constructive model is able to reflect the spatial pedagogical relationships between the elements of the object under study. It is determined that the conceptual model of training bachelors in cybersecurity in an educational-digital environment consists of five constructs. Each of the five model constructs is characterized, namely target, conceptual, content, activity-technological and result-corrective. The purpose of the model is defined to form the readiness of bachelors in cybersecurity in the educational-digital environment for professional activity. It has been found out that the result of constructive model of preparation of bachelors in cybersecurity in the conditions of digital educational environment is the formed readiness of bachelors in cybersecurity for professional activity. The goal of this work is to facilitate the task of integrating measurement and redesign tools in modelling environments for Domain Specific Visual Languages (DSVLs), reducing or eliminating the necessity of coding. With this purpose, we have created a DSVL called SLAMMER that includes generalizations of some of the more used types of product metrics and frequent model manipulations, which can be easily customised for any other DSVL in a graphical way. The metric customisation process relies on visual patterns for the specification of the elements that should be measured in each metric type, while redesigns (as well as other actions) can be specified either personalizing generic templates or by means of graph transformation systems. The provided DSVL also allows creating new metrics, composing metrics, and executing actions guided by measurement values. The approach has been empirically validated by its implementation in a meta-modelling tool, which has been used for several DSVLs. In this way, together with the DSVL specification, a SLAMMER model can be provided containing a suite of metrics and actions that will become available in the final modelling environment. In this chapter we show a case study for a notation in the web engineering domain. As ensuring model quality is a key success factor in many computer science areas, even crucial in model-driven development, we believe that the results of this work benefit all of them by providing automatic support for the specification, generation and integration of measurement and redesign tools with modelling environments.

This paper considers strategic green issues of teleworking in terms of the environment, transport, location, office space and resource use for modern organisations and business sectors and formulates a conceptual model of the processes involved. Teleworking technologies are variously implemented for green computing initiatives and many advantages include lower greenhouse gas emissions related to travel, greater worker satisfaction and, as a result of lower overhead office costs, increased profit margins. The paper initially investigates the appropriateness of a working definition of teleworking with regard to green computing and explores the benefits, and barriers, of teleworking in a green computing environment. Theoretical frameworks and models of teleworking are considered and a conceptual model of the contribution of teleworking to green computing is formulated. The application of the model is considered in terms of teleworking concepts, the organisational environment and driving forces. It is the intention of the paper to identify, and articulate, those teleworking concepts that will be useful to academicians, scientists, business entrepreneurs, practitioners, managers and policy makers, and to indicate future directions for research scholars and students with similar interests.

Big Data is an important topic for discussion and research. It has gained this importance due to the meaningful value that could be extracted from these data. The application of Big Data in the modern business allows enterprises to take faster and smarter decisions, achieving a real competitive advantage. However, a lot of Big Data projects provide disappointing results that don't address the decision-makers' needs due to many reasons. The main reason for this failure can be summarized in neglecting the study of the decision-making aspect of these projects. In light of this challenge, this study proposes the integration of decision aspect into Big Data as a solution. Therefore, this article presents three main contributions: 1) Clarify the definition of Big Data; 2) Presents BD-Da model, a conceptual model describes the levels that should be considered to develop a Big Data project aiming to solve a problem that calls a decision; 3) Describes a particular, logical, requirements-like approach that explains how a company develops a Big Data analytics project to support decision-making.

The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) states that Norway faces several major health challenges. Sick leave is at 6% and costs employers approximately EUR 1.75 billion annually. The NIPH proposes, with the support of the Public Health Act and the national strategy HealthCare21, that preventive measures should be developed to address negative lifestyle factors in order to decrease the number of new cases in the related disease groups (e.g., stroke, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, obesity). The purpose of this article is to answer why and how organisations should develop a health-promoting performance culture and to provide a conceptual model displaying the importance of this type of culture for organisational performance. To boost the national health standard as a consequence of employee physical activity at work, I suggest additional occupational safety and health (OSH) directives. Based on cross-disciplinary theorizing, I propose a definition of a health-promoting performance culture. This kind of culture consists of dimensions such as health objectives, shared health values, supportive health environment, goal-oriented and value-based behaviour of leaders and employees, and a winning mindset. In addition, the article underscores the importance of related individual HR drivers like fun at work, engagement, physical and mental health for increasing organisational performance. The company cases used in this paper, Schibsted, Gjensidige, Findus and Wilhelmsen, and findings from five in-depth interviews, indicate that health-promoting activities are the result of either an HR strategy or individuals’ initiative and voluntariness among the companies’ sports enthusiasts. The case of Findus exemplifies an ongoing development toward a health-promoting performance culture and the importance of leaders’ participation. The findings support several elements of the conceptual model showing the relations between a health-promoting performance culture, individual HR drivers and organisational performance. A framework for developing a health-promoting performance culture in practice is presented.

In this chapter, we present our approach for the definition of Multi-View Visual Languages (MVVLs). These are languages made of a set of different diagram types, which are used to specify the different aspects of a system. A prominent example of this kind of languages is UML, which defines a set of diagrams for the description of the static and dynamic elements of software systems. In the multi-view approach, consistency checking is essential to verify that the combination of the various system views yields a consistent description of the system. We use two techniques to define environments for MVVLs: meta-modelling and graph transformation. The former is used to describe the syntax of the whole language. In addition, we define a meta-model for each diagram type of the language (that we call viewpoint) as a restriction of the complete MVVL meta-model. From this high-level description, we can generate a customized environment supporting the definition of multiple system views. Consistency between views is ensured by translating each one of them into a unique repository model which is conformant to the meta-model of the whole language. The translation is performed by automatically generated graph transformation rules. Whenever a change is performed in a view, some rules are triggered to update the repository. These updates may trigger other rules to propagate the changes from the repository to the rest of the views. In our approach, graph transformation techniques are also used for other purposes, such as model simulation, optimization and transformation into other formalisms. In this chapter, we also discuss the integration of these concepts in the AToM3 tool, and show some illustrative examples by generating an environment for a small subset of UML.
