Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a powerful technique used for the analysis of interfacial properties related to bio-recognition events occurring at the electrode surface, such as antibody–antigen recognition, substrate–enzyme interaction, or whole cell capturing. Thus, EIS could be exploited in several important biomedical diagnosis and environmental applications. However, the EIS is one of the most complex electrochemical methods, therefore, this review introduced the basic concepts and the theoretical background of the impedimetric technique along with the state of the art of the impedimetric biosensors and the impact of nanomaterials on the EIS performance. The use of nanomaterials such as nanoparticles, nanotubes, nanowires, and nanocomposites provided catalytic activity, enhanced sensing elements immobilization, promoted faster electron transfer, and increased reliability and accuracy of the reported EIS sensors. Thus, the EIS was used for the effective quantitative and qualitative detections of pathogens, DNA, cancer-associated biomarkers, etc. Through this review article, intensive literature review is provided to highlight the impact of nanomaterials on enhancing the analytical features of impedimetric biosensors.

AbstractRepetition as a linguistic and stylistic device extensively used in Tennessee Williams’s plays has been noticed by many. At the same time, more psychologically-inclined scholars have frequently drawn parallels between Williams’s plays and his own experiences and emotional conflicts. In an attempt to combine the two perspectives, this article will explore the function of repetitions as indicators of trapped emotions in Williams’s celebrated and award-winning play The Glass Menagerie. Starting from the stylistic theoretical background, but at the same time taking into account the psychological insights into the link between Williams’s life and work through some basic concepts of Freud and Lacan, an attempt will be made to demonstrate that in this play linguistic repetition appears as an obsessive expression of the characters’ emotions as well as those of the dramatist himself, making him repeat and relive both his experiences and his emotions. The authors will first introduce the concept and functions of repetition as a linguistic and stylistic device and then explore its representative instances in individual characters and their meanings, ending with the parallels which can be drawn between the characters’ and the dramatist’s own experiences and emotions expressed or intensified through repetitions.

Összefoglaló. Napjainkban a felsőoktatás-kutatás egyik kiemelt területe a lemorzsolódás vizsgálata. Tanulmányunk első részében foglalkozunk a tömeges felsőoktatás problémájával, az expanzió elméleti hátterét ismertetve nemzetközi szakirodalmon keresztül adunk példákat a fogalom mai megjelenésére. A tanulmány a hallgatói életutakat vizsgálja, saját automatikus megoldást kínálva az adatelemzésre. Ebből kitekintve, foglalkozunk a műszaki képzési területen is megjelenő újra beiratkozás (re-gólya) jelenségével. Az eredményekből láthatjuk, hogy az újra beiratkozás alternatívát kínál a lemorzsolódásra. Summary. Nowadays some of the most important areas of higher education research are dropping out and related case studies. The first part of our study deals with the development of mass higher education, describing the theoretical background of the expansion. This part provided examples of the current appearance of basic concepts through international literature. The study is about students’ life paths, also covers the topic of dropout researched by many, offering our own automated solution for data analysis. Looking out of the topic of dropout, we are dealing with the re-freshman phenomenon in the field of technical discipline. It can be seen, that other choices, such as re-enrollment, offer an alternative to dropout.

The topical theoretical issues along with the experience of establishment and functioning of clusters in the agro-industrial complex are analyzed in the article. The theoretical background of their formation and the system of basic concepts of marketing cluster operation in the agro-industrial complex are considered, economic benefits from its formation and expected challenges for cluster functioning are evaluated. The working-out of strategic areas for marketing clusters’ formation in Russia is conducted in the article, which will enable the dynamic development of the country’s economy in complex current conditions. Conceptually, the clustering of economy is based on a combination of national and regional interests and opportunities intended to strengthen the real sector and raise the population’s living standards on this basis. The developed model of marketing cluster in the agro-industrial complex is presented and the principles of its creation and further functioning are described.

This study aims at exploring the field of cultural studies and mainly the field of cultural criticism, which depends on the intertwined formats and postmodern methodologies, and that start from studying the theme as an organic unit in this new knowledge orientation, with the introduction of basic concepts that determine its path- i. e. cultural criticism, the idiomatic and its references on which it is based. This study seeks to identify the theoretical background for this critical approach, and the conceptual root of the cultural system. Consequently, the study will produce the descriptive approach with a historical tendency in order to present a vision that reflects cultural criticism in a concept and a term, and stands on the most important milestones in its course, starting with the reference frameworks that paved the way for its emergence until its appearance as one of the new errata cal trends in Western criticism. The importance of the study lies in its endeavor, in combination with other similar studies, to fill the special gaps in the concept of cultural criticism in a way that removes the ambiguity and ambiguity among many Arab scholars. This is what makes the call for more studies that reveal it, at the levels of theory and practice, and bring it closer to the Arab recipient as a legitimate and necessary matter.

In this chapter, the authors cover the basic concepts around emotion. In particular, they present an historical introduction of emotion theories, while offering several definitions of emotion, as well as research findings in the past decades. You will be introduced to the major exponents of emotion theory, such as Darwin, James, Freud, Arnold, Lange, Averill, Hochschild, and many more. At the end of the chapter, the reader should have a better understanding of the theoretical background needed to appreciate the importance of emotion in the workplace. After the conclusions, there is a comprehensive section of further readings, for those who would like to learn more about these topics.

This paper examines the pro-drop parameter in Azeri Turkish. First, some basic concepts and theories in terms of Chomsky's generative grammar school and principles and parameters theory are introduced. Then some theoretical background on the subject of Persian and Turkish languages are briefly presented. Next part is about explanation and description of pro features and some evidence and samples of Italian and Persian and Azeri Turkish languages and the last section deals with the results of this study. After giving and comparing evidence of these three languages we conclude that is that Azeri Turkish is a pro-drop language which allows subject to drop and establishes pro as a null subject (an empty category) in the position of subject and object can also be removed in some instances and proarb is established in the position of object.

Test-teach questioning is a strategy that can be used to help children develop basic concepts. It fosters the use of multisensory exploration and discovery in learning which leads to the development of cognitive-linguistic skills. This article outlines some of the theoretical bases for this approach and indicates possibilities for their applications in child-clinician transactions.

Abstract Educating students and informing clinicians regarding developments in therapy approaches and in evidence-based practice are important elements of the responsibility of specialist academic posts in universities. In this article, the development of narrative therapy and its theoretical background are outlined (preceded by a general outline of how the topic of fluency disorders is introduced to students at an Irish university). An example of implementing narrative therapy with a 12-year-old boy is presented. The brief case description demonstrates how narrative therapy facilitated this 12-year-old make sense of his dysfluency and his phonological disorder, leading to his improved understanding and management of the problems, fostering a sense of control that led ultimately to their resolution.
