The article is aimed at forming a methodical approach to the assessment of tendencies in production, sales and organization of consumption of food products and services, which includes all the components of the food sector and allows to conduct a comprehensive assessment of tendencies in its development. The proposed methodical approach includes assessment of the status and dynamics of food supply to the population, assessment of the status and dynamics of indicators of agricultural enterprises, food industry, trade in foods, restaurant economy and assessment of the factors that influence the development of the food sector. The use of the proposed methodical approach allows to reasonably make decisions on the development of a strategy for the development of food sector enterprises. The conducted studies have shown that in Ukraine as a whole and in its regions in particular in recent years there have been positive tendencies in the production, sale and organization of consumption of food products and services. At this, sales of foods by enterprises of both agriculture and food industry is much higher than by retail enterprises of food products and restaurant enterprises, which indicates the sufficient provision with food products to the financially reliable demand of the population of Ukraine. Prospects for further research in this direction are the development of methodical instrumentarium for assessing the effectiveness of management of food sector enterprises, which will be adapted to modern conditions for the implementation of specific managerial decisions.

Abstract Nanoagrochemicals, such as nanopesticides, nanofertilizers or plant growth stimulating nanosystems, were primarily designed to increase solubility, enhance bioavailability, targeted delivery, controlled release and/or protection against degradation resulting in the reduced amount of applied active ingredients and finally in a decrease of dose-dependent toxicity/burden. This paper is a comprehensive up-to-date review related to the preparation and the biological activity of nanoformulations enabling gradual release of active ingredient into weeds and the body of pests and controlled release of nutrients to plants. The attention is also devoted to the decrease of direct environmental burden and economic benefits due to application of nanoformulations, where less amount of active ingredient is needed to achieve the same biological effect in comparison with bulk. The application of nanotechnology in the areas such as food packaging, food security, encapsulation of nutrients and development of new functional products is analysed. The use of nanoparticles in biosensors for detection of pathogens and contaminants as well as in DNA and gene delivery is discussed as well. Benefits and health risks of nanoagrochemicals are highlighted, and special attention is given to nanoecotoxicology and guidelines and regulatory documents related to the use of nanoformulations in agriculture and food industry.

How to understand logistics in agro-food business? Logistic activities considerably changed in the last few years. The original aim of satisfying quantity needs has been followed by the logistic activity which meets the market's requirements, aims at satisfying the individual needs instead of standardized solutions, maximal the additional values, and finally, which gives a complex service. You can find special process of it in agriculture and food industry. These together mean a significant challenge for this profession. In our paper we try to understand methodology of logistics in agro-food business.

Modern Georgia faces many challenges. An important part of them is geopolitical, social, economic and environmental problems. Because of this, the Georgian Geographic School should further intensify action towards integrating its separate fields (directions), geographical research regionalization, and a unified research on sustainable development issues. The rapid dynamics of environmental factors and the interests of the country raise new challenges, which are a major challenge for the Georgian Geographic School. Such tasks include the use of geographic (space-time) research and its methodology to solve sustainable development problems. Georgia is a unique country. It has many features in the world. These include natural and landscape diversity, unique soil and climate resources, favorable geographical (and not geopolitical) location, traditions of agriculture and food industry, healthy ecological conditions, relatively high share of natural environment, fresh and mineral-thermal water resources, tourism-Recreational potential, et al. Despite these circumstances, many recognized directions for sustainable development are virtually unfulfilled. This situation contributes to the nihilism of the population. As a result, the economic, social, environmental and demographic situation in the regions of Georgia is particularly difficult. This can be remedied by the introduction of special state policies, European legal regulations and regional scientific and geographical surveys. The article discusses issues related to Georgia's sustainable development, such as: promoting decentralization, preventing negative demographic trends (creating centers of attraction), optimizing the use of nature (green economy prospects), and the need for regional specialization in agriculture.

The second chapter represents an analysis of agri-food sector indicator of Serbia. The authors were aiming to show how the analysed indicators have an effect on the export of agri-food products. After reading this chapter, readers will be familiar with the structure of agricultural production and the status of natural resources in Serbia. They will understand that the results of overall analysis have a practical significance, as well as that by the rational use of comparative and competitive advantage dynamizes the export of agriculture and food industry of Serbia on foreign market. They will be able to notice the connection between the unfavourable structure of agricultural production and the structure of agricultural areas. Readers will comprehend the impact of number and size of agricultural holdings on the productivity level and the price competitiveness of products. They will perceive types of land in Serbia according to land capability classification and will know about the quality of soil, water, air and forest potential. They will be able to understand a limiting role of age and educational level of human resources in agriculture. Readers will be familiar with the degree of utilization of production capacity in food industry. They will be familiar with suggestions for the improvement of agri-food sector from different points of view, and also will perceive room for deepening research as scientists, as well as educators, creators, politicians and strategists.

In recent years the organic farming sector in the world has been developing at an accelerated pace. These trends are also evident in Russia: Russians began to buy eco-products, actively engage in fitness, and prefer "green" brands to those that are not environmentally friendly and do not demonstrate concern for the environment. In this regard, a new direction has appeared in the field of agriculture and food industry — the production of bio-products. In contrast to Russia, the governments of developed foreign countries care primarily about the small farmer, on whose shoulders agriculture has been and will continue to be supported. The West has long implemented a system of assistance in the form of grants and bonuses. In addition, there is a system of state orders for farm products, and if a farmer supplies products to schools and kindergartens, he is paid extra money for this. This is a very good example for our country. According to research company Ecovia Intelligence, 57.8 million hectares of arable land in the world were allocated for organic farming in the manufacturing sector. 2.7 million Working farmers in 178 countries. This article analyzes the market of organic products in Russia and abroad.
