We report the first case of haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) in a neonate secondary to primary Dengue virus infection. This neonate presented in the third week of life with fever, shock and hepatosplenomegaly and was diagnosed to have Dengue infection by serology and HLH was confirmed on bone marrow.

We presented case with COVID 19 pneumonia as one of the form of COVID infection, with diagnosis, treatment and all investigations we done in our hospital. With complex treatment of this virus infection we successful improved the clinical state of patients with COVID 19 pneumonia. Keywords: coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19, COVID 19 pneumonia

Background: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is caused by a novel virus SARS Coronavirus- 2 (SARS-CoV-2). First case of this infection was reported in December 2019 in Wuhan city of China and after that it spread globally. WHO declared it as a pandemic when the infection was reported from all six WHO regions. Methods: The study was community based cross-sectional designed and was carried out in an urban slum of Rohtak before the first lockdown was announced in India. The study recruited 400 adults of age 18-50 years. Results: In the study, 90% of subjects had heard of corona virus infection and majority of source of information was television and peer group. The association between socio-demographic characteristics like literacy and caste with knowledge about corona virus infection was found statistically highly significant but this association in gender and age was not found no statistically significant. Conclusions: The study concluded that majority of subjects had heard about COVID-19 and majority knew the correct mode of transmission.  Most of the study subjects knew that wearing face mask and frequently hand washing are the only preventive measures available against COVID-19.

A case of osteomyelitis in an infant following a burn injury sustained in Pakistan caused by a GES-13-producingPseudomonas aeruginosa(the first reported in Canada) and an OXA-48 producingKlebsiella pneumoniaeis described. The present case serves to highlight the importance of international travel as a risk factor for infection with carbapenemase-producing bacteria and the challenges in the laboratory detection of these organisms.

Insufficiency in mesenteric flow is a risk factor for the development of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). Recurrent episodes of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) can lead to gut ischemia, with subsequent reperfusion injury. We present a term infant who developed NEC at 37 days of life after refractory SVT and reverted to sinus rhythm on day 23 and 25 of life. Resected stenotic ileum and transverse colon demonstrated inflammation with ischemia. This is the first case of NEC following SVT in a term infant without a congenital morphologic abnormality. In view of the temporal sequence of events, and in the absence of other risk factors for NEC, the SVT and NEC were likely causally related.

ABSTRACT Purpose To report a case of keratoconus that progressed during pregnancy without any accompanying disease. Methods A case report. Results A patient with keratoconus that worsened during pregnancy demonstrates that pregnancy can be a previously unrecognized risk factor for progression of keratoconus. Conclusion To our knowledge, this is the first case reported in Brazil and the third paper in the world showing pregnancyinduced keratoconus progression in a patient with no accompanying disease. Patients with type-1 diabetes are predisposed to develop a spectrum of liver diseases, which includes fatty liver, steatohepatitis and cirrhosis. The association of hepatitis A infection with type-1 diabetes is extremely rare. To the best of our knowledge, our case is the first case report in children. We described a nine year-old girl who had type-1 diabetes and developed hepatitis A virus infection without complications. A review of the literature is also provided.
