The paper presents the determination of main parameters and operating modes of scattered centrifugal devices of technical units when using them in the technology with scattered sowing when performing the technological operation of sowing rice in liquid-flexible soil. Theoretical studies of the dependence of design features of the blade of a spreading disk on the number of blades installed on it and the radius of curvature of the end bend on the height of blades are carried out. The values of the diameter of the disk of a centrifugal dispenser and parameters of blades are set, which will increase the uniformity of distribution of seed material for a given width of a gripper and reduce its consumption.

When using the conventional coulters for applying organic-and-mineral fertilizers, reliable technological process cannot be ensured unless a fertilizer funnel is adapted to such fertilizers. (Research purpose) Determination of the parameters of an improved coulter for introducing organic-and-mineral fertilizers. (Materials and methods) The authors conducted theoretical studies using the methods of theoretical and agricultural mechanics, as well as analytic geometry. They also considered the horizontal flow of soil particles under the action of the pointed part of a leg and made diagrams of the progressive speed of a cultivator depending on the cutting-point angle of the coulter leg at friction angles of 25, 30, and 35 degrees. (Results and discussion) An analytical relationship was obtained to determine progressive flowability of organic-and-mineral fertilizers through a coulter funnel. The author also found the cutting-point angle of a coulter leg for introducing fertilizers at a certain depth. In this case they neither stick to the coulter surface nor pack up before entering it. The optimum diameter of the fertilizer funnel was determined as well. (Conclusions) It has been proved that the cutting-point angle of a working tool leg for introducing mineral and organic-and-mineral fertilizers developed according to the research should range from 54 to 66 degrees. The authors have determined that an easy flow of fertilizers can be ensured if the diameter of a fertilizer funnel of a coulter should be not less than 43 millimeters.

Abstract The effective use of the production capabilities of logging and woodworking equipment largely depends on the compliance of their design features and work organization parameters in specific production and technical conditions. This is achieved in the process of technological calculations with the determination of the optimal modes of their functioning. The paper proposes a methodology and results of modeling on analytical models when sawing logs. The proposed method consists in the fact that in order to maintain stocks at the calculated level, eliminate downtime of machines with the highest productivity in operations with a lower productivity, the duration of their operation is increased by the time calculated for specific conditions. As a result of the work, the analysis of methods and models of timber inventory management was carried out. The main features of woodworking production and its technological process are given. It has been established that the technological process is a production line of mixed aggregation with flexible connections.

In this paper we consider the structural and technological process of the combine used in the process of separate harvesting of grain crops, as well as a number of its parameters. Among the main units of the combine, we allocate a conveyor and devices for removing beveled stems from under the wheels of the vehicle. The principle of operation of the conveyor at different phases of the Reaper and especially the removal of cut stems from under the wheels of the vehicle during operation of the Reaper. The results of theoretical studies on the establishment of the optimal design of the parameters of the belt conveyor are presented, the ranges of their optimal values are considered and determined. Studies on the establishment of optimal parameters of the screw divider in the Reaper, which is the main component of the device for removal of beveled stems, are presented. Taking into account the optimal design and mode of operation of the screw divider, the correct work is provided to remove the cut stems from under the wheels of the harvester.

In this paper, a duplex spread blade method for cutting hypoid gears with modified tooth surface is proposed. The duplex spread blade method provides a rapid and economical manufacturing method because both the ring gear and pinion are cut by a spread blade method. In the proposed method, the nongenerated ring gear is manufactured with cutting edge that is altered from the usual straight line to a circular arc with a large radius of curvature and the circular arc cutting edge produces a modified tooth surface. The pinion is generated by a cutter with straight cutting edges as usual. The main procedure of this method is the determination of the cutter specifications and machine settings. The proposed method was validated by gear manufacture.

The use of high frequency ultrasonic Lamb waves to measure the thickness of thin plates and foils, is discussed and the feasibility of their application to the determination of the degree of cure of polymer coating on coated tin plated steel sheet (as used by the food can industry) is evaluated. The paper also discusses briefly the design features of the purpose built precision double probe ultrasonic goniometer used to carry out these measurements.

Violation of industrial safety rules during the operation of offshore facilities for the production, storage and transportation of the hydrocarbon raw materials leads in the most cases to pollution of the marine environment with oil and its components. The works on localization and elimination of such pollution are carried out with the help of vessels of the technical support fleet and booms. When developing oil spill response plans at such facilities, a calculated determination of the technical characteristics of vessels and booms is required that are sufficient to carry out the planned activities. The basic design principles for determining the towing capacity of the technical fleet vessels involved in the localization and elimination of oil and oil product spills by trawling methods are given in the article. The calculation is based on theoretical studies performed by the authors of the physical processes occurring during the movement of objects of a mobile trawling order in the sea area. The results obtained during the course of theoretical studies were confirmed by the experimental studies carried out by the authors personally using the real pieces of equipment in the actual development of tasks for training spill containment by trawling. As a result, the empirical dependencies were obtained and experimentally confirmed, which can be used to calculate technical characteristics of the ships as part of the mobile orders and anchor systems as part of stationary orders intended for the localization and elimination of oil pollution. These results can be used, among other things, for the calculated substantiation of the technical characteristics of the technical fleet vessels designed to ensure safety of the offshore facilities for production, storage, and transportation of the hydrocarbon raw materials.

Pipe steel sheet is manufactured by hot rolling technological process. Technological regimes of every technological operation can vary in a wide range affecting pipe steel sheet properties. It is shown that system analysis provides the effective way for searching out the basics for mathematical modeling of multi-variant technological processes. The detailed scheme of steel sheet hot rolling process is presented, determining its input and output parameters. Flows of material, energy, and information are presented for each technological operation. Metallurgical concept of pipe steel manufacturing is shown as the basics for competitive product manufacturing. It is proposed to analyze the hot rolling process as a set of target functions, which will make it possible to achieve the pipe steel sheet with the desired level of mechanical properties. The proposed approach based on system analysis allows to find tendencies for further development of hot rolling.

The article reviewed the certification and quality control of the technological process for the production of vegetable oil. There is a procedure for packaging, quality control of products, determination of quality indicators and quality control of finished products. The procedure for using refined cottonseed oil and its varieties, the requirements for placement and storage of vegetable oils, as specified in the regulatory documents, the quality control of vegetable oils and other solutions for cottonseed oil are provided. The gas analyzer shows a solution for measuring the amount of solution by painting the tubes of a mixture of gas and air in oil. Detailed information on the production of vegetable oils, the cost of raw materials, the level of fat content of cotton seeds and the methods used to produce oil from cotton seeds. Methods for certification of vegetable oils, types of quality control, methods of testing and quality determination are presented. It was shown that the procedure for refined production of cottonseed oils and their types, as well as the state of the product classification of products based on the method of producing vegetable oils for consumer purposes, analysis of the sequence of refined oils and refining processes.

The rational design of technological processes of parts manufacturing in single and small-scale production is inefficient without wide introduction of modern tools of part manufacturing automation with modern computer-based equipment and software. It is desirable to carry out of automated synthesis of single route technological processes with minimal influence of the operator on the technological environment. The technology of computer-aided design of technological processes is used to develop effective algorithms of functioning of adapted systems for control of technological processes and their implementation when taking into account interrelations with the technological environment. Automated development of technological environments of a given level of design concerning a dedicated technical system is possible on the basis of their rational functional models, created by means of CALS-technologies. The rational use of the SADT methodology with application of the principle of decomposition and development of the SADT-diagrams allows to solve the given technical problems. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to develop and study the vibrational-centrifugal surface strengthening at the finishing and hardening technological operation to provide the required quality parameters and operational characteristics of the parts. The object of this research is a finishing and hardening technological operation. The subject of this research is method and parameters of vibrational-centrifugal surface strengthening to provide the required quality parameters and operational characteristics of the parts. The development of SADT diagrams allows to divide the technological process to technological operations, cutter–setting positions, technological steps, main machining steps etc. In this paper the principles of control of technological operation for vibration-centrifugal strengthening of surfaces of parts are suggested. The experimental device for machining of inner surfaces of parts is described. The initial and detailed model of the operation of the vibrational-centrifugal strengthening is offered. Statistical and structural analysis of technological process made it possible to establish the influence of the parameters of the vibrational-centrifugal strengthening on the geometric and physical-mechanical parameters of the surface quality and associated operational characteristics. Further research in that field will be related on the development of practical recommendations for using of the vibrational-centrifugal surface treatment for improving of the geometric and physical and mechanical parameters of parts surfaces.
