The article reviewed the certification and quality control of the technological process for the production of vegetable oil. There is a procedure for packaging, quality control of products, determination of quality indicators and quality control of finished products. The procedure for using refined cottonseed oil and its varieties, the requirements for placement and storage of vegetable oils, as specified in the regulatory documents, the quality control of vegetable oils and other solutions for cottonseed oil are provided. The gas analyzer shows a solution for measuring the amount of solution by painting the tubes of a mixture of gas and air in oil. Detailed information on the production of vegetable oils, the cost of raw materials, the level of fat content of cotton seeds and the methods used to produce oil from cotton seeds. Methods for certification of vegetable oils, types of quality control, methods of testing and quality determination are presented. It was shown that the procedure for refined production of cottonseed oils and their types, as well as the state of the product classification of products based on the method of producing vegetable oils for consumer purposes, analysis of the sequence of refined oils and refining processes.

The Added Value of Processed Red Ginger Product at UD. VisionBali Herbal Indonesia, DenpasarThis research aimed to determine the added value of red ginger as an herbal drink in one production process and to determine the level of profits earned by the company in the red ginger processing in one production process. Determination of the study area was done purposively and the analytical methods used was the method of added value calculation, i.e. the product value is deducted by the value of raw materials and other supporting materials.It can be concluded from the result of the research that the added value of the red ginger processing business obtained in one production process is Rp. 84.600,00/kg. The added value is obtained from the deduction of the value of the product/output of Rp. 175.000,00/kg with the cost of raw material (input prices) Rp. 25.000,00/kg and the contribution of the cost of other inputs of Rp. 65.400,00/kg. It was also found that the profits gained by the manufacturer from the processed red ginger into herbal drink in one production process was Rp. 200.954,06. The suggestion that can be given to the company is to put more attention in the details of its production costs so as not to result in a low ratio of added value and further to improve the marketing of the products, so that people are interested in re-use of herbal medicine that is free of chemical components.

Further development of the open mining works on the domestic enterprises will be accompanied by the worsening of mining-geological conditions and declining of the quality of iron ore raw materials. In the same time, the accumulated mining wastes, that can make the technogenic deposits, pass into one of the important sources of the mineral raw materials. Taking into account this thing, the development and implementation of the modern technological circuits of the technogenic deposit development is an actual calling for mining industry, and determination and optimization of process conditions of the technogenic deposit development – is the scientific task of this publication. The obtained results of studies of the optimum step value of the ore chute transfer during the technogenic deposit development can be used by design organizations and mining enterprises for designing works. The obtained methodology and the proposed mathematical dependencies will reduce the cost of mining of the technogenic deposit due to the reasonable timely transfer of the open ore chute.

Pharmaceutical industries should apply rigorous QC (quality control) to ensure the consistency, safety, and efficacy of their herbal derived drug-preparations. QC must be performed at every stage of the production line i.e. incoming raw materials, extractions, in-process control, finished products and keeping samples. Due to the complex nature of the chemical content of herbal drugs, two approaches to QC should be taken, that is quantitative determination of the selected marker(s) compound(s), and metabolite profiling. Contamination of herbal medicines by heavy metals, pesticides, toxic metabolites, microbial toxins, pathogenic microorganisms and other foreign matter should also be evaluated. A combination of chemical profiling and multivariate analysis (MVA) is recommended as the QC tool for the botanical identification method (BIM) of herbs, extracts, herb materials, and herbal drug preparations. Microscopic methods, DNA profiling or chemical marker(s) are not recommended for use as the sole BIM due to the lack of specificity. Only markers that meet certain criteria i.e. quality active (QA) markers can be utilized as a QC tool. The limit specification range of markers used as QC tools should be described in the analytical target profile (ATP). To gain reliable results of any analysis that has been performed at any QC laboratory, the analysis method must be validated according to the newest guidance. Sample detection limit of any toxic compound(s) should be lower than its cut-off value and MPL. The reliability of any results of analysis of a QC laboratory must be evaluated by using QC-samples for each series of measurements.

The high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) is widely used for quality control of herbal raw materials (HRM). The purpose of this work were to define the problematic issues of quality control of herbal drugs in Ukraine and to develop a systematic scientific and methodological approach for the standardization of HRM and herbal drugs using the modern analytical technique of HPTLC: to optimize the existing and develop new methods of identification and determination of adulterations, and to develop alternative methods of quantitative determination, as well as studying of the stability. As a result of a critical evaluation of existing approaches for the standardization of HRM and herbal drugs of Ukraine’s flora, numerous problematic issues were identified, including the existence of a limited number of national monographs / national parts of monographs on the HRM of the Ukraine’s flora, which were not previously standardized by other pharmacopeias; non-consideration of Ukraine’s flora species (non-pharmacopoeial) in monographs on closely related species that introduced in the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine; lack of specificity of combinations of physical and chemical methods used for quality control; lack of specificity and reproducibility, the labor intensity of methods; necessity of usage of toxic solvents and precursors; use of different groups of markers and methods for the HRM and its finished product or HRM and its closely related species, etc. The proposed systematic scientific and methodological approach includes: a preliminary collection of information about the object of study, markers/groups of bioactive substances, approaches to its standardization; theoretical evaluation of existing techniques of quality control in monographs on HRM and experimental approbation using samples of domestic plants, determination of the need for optimization of existed methods by the parallel development of specific, reproducible and documented methods for identification, adulterations’ detection, quantification, and bio-detection (if necessary) by HPTLC method. The approach is illustrated with examples. The proposed approach can be used for comprehensive HPTLC analysis of domestic HRM and herbal drugs for research, prevention of adulteration, standardization of initial HRM and its finished product, pharmaceutical development, and stability studies.

Agricultural commodities are generally produced as raw materials and are easily damaged, so they need to be directly consumed or processed first. The processing can increase the added value of agricultural products. The purpose of this study was to determine the cost, revenue, profit, efficiency, and value added of melinjo chips industry in Industrial Center at  Bandar Village Sukomoro District Magetan Regency. The basic method of research used is descriptive analytical method. The determination of the sample area is purpossive which is Bandar Village Sukomoro District Magetan Regency because those village is the center of the melinjo chips industry in Magetan Regency. The respondents are found and gathered by using the proportional method and the respondents are found gathered simple random sampling method. The result of this research shows that total average cost spent by those industrialists in Bandar village is Rp5.816.109,00 per month. The average revenue for each of them is Rp7.826.667,00  per month and the profit is Rp2.010.492,00 per month. The running of melinjo chips industries is efficient. It can be known by efficiency value (R/C ratio) 1,42. The business of melinjo chips in Bandar Village, Sukomoro District, Magetan Regency provides added value of Rp. 8,645.00 / kg

In order to produce water for human consumption, processes must be used that allow the removal of impurities present in the water to be treated. For this, alkalinizing chemicals, coagulants, disinfectants and others are added. Any product used in the treatment of water must promote its potability unconditionally, without the risk of transfer of any contaminant to the treated water. The quality control of these products is based on the performance of laboratory tests, which should not be restricted to the determination of the concentration of the active principle, ie, this monitoring should also include the determination of toxicity parameters present in the process inputs to ensure that the water produced meets the parameters required by the legislation. The problem is that not every sanitation company has dedicated laboratories to perform the amount of testing involved in this monitoring. Therefore, this work proposes a sampling plan for quality control of the chemicals used in water treatment. The main advantage of this statistical tool is the viability of monitoring the toxicity parameters of these products, without the need to increase the cost of this process.

Flowers, ornamental plants, planting material (saplings) and other plants with regard to which the market with possibility of carrying out independent adequate marketing was formed, are the subject of evaluation by the experts in field of forensic merchandising. With the development of the market and market relations such goods as flowers, planting material and others are increasingly encashed in the market of Ukraine and become the objects of forensic merchandising examinations and expert researches. Special feature of merchandising researches of the plant origin objects is the use of the comprehensive approach to the estimation of their quality and cost. Researches are carried out with the purpose of determination of properties, consumer value, conformity to standards and specifications of plants certain kinds. When studying a considerable variety of flower plants, one distinguishes scientific and industrial classifications. In merchandising flowers industrial classification of flower ornamental plants which provides distribution of flower plants to the separate groups similar on biological properties, the agricultural technician of cultivation and practical application in gardening is used. During carrying out merchandising examinations on an establishment of consumer properties of certain kinds plants, namely establishments organoleptic indicators of quality and quantity of flower decorative production given for research, the expert checks conformity of this production to requirements of normative and technical documents. Requirements to quality of flower production are normalised by standards depending on production kind – cutf lowers, pottery blossoming plants, pottery decorative sheet plants, sprouts of flower decorative production, planting material, seeds of flower ornamental plants. At carrying out merchandising researches of flower decorative production, plants and saplings it’s necessary for merchandising experts to pay special attention on definition of quality indicators and a grade of plants according to standards, and also to consider data concerning age of a plant, novelty of a grade and origin country of production.

Abstract The acid value (AV) of vegetable oils is determined without titration by using a new reagent consisting of triethanolamine in a solution of water and isopropyl alcohol. When the oil sample is mixed with the reagent in the pH-metric cell, free fatty acids from the sample are extracted into the reagent ( 3 - 4 min). The initial pH, called conditional pH´, is measured, a standard acid (HC1) is added, and the final pH, pH´2, is measured. AV is calculated from the difference between pH´! and pH´2. The method is applicable for quality control of vegetable oils during their production, trade, and use

Determination of cost of goods must be applied appropriately and careful, because this can help entrepreneurs to compete in a manner well and in a relatively long period of time. The purpose of this study was to determine the calculation of the cost of production of the UD Taufik Jaya Makmur Samarinda Samarinda business which is used today and the calculation of the cost of production in the UD Taufik Jaya Makmur Samarinda Samarinda business according to the full costing method. Full costing is a method of determining the cost of production that takes into account all elements of production costs into the cost of production, which consists of the cost of raw materials, direct labor costs, and factory overhead costs, both behaving variable and fixed. The method used in this research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The variables of this study include the cost of production using the full costing method. Data analysis was performed by calculating the cost of production based on the concept of the full costing method. The results showed that the results of the analysis of the calculation of the Cost of Production of envelopes per kg in the UD Taufik Jaya Makmur Samarinda Endeavor conducted at present were Rp. 80,312.50 per kg. Whereas the Cost of Production of envelopes per kg in the UD Taufik Jaya Makmur Samarinda Business in Samarinda if calculated using the full costing method is Rp 83,068.23 per kg. The difference in cost of production of the UD Taufik Jaya Makmur Samarinda Amplang Business conducted so far using the full costing method for the UD Taufik Jaya Makmur Samarinda Endeavor is Rp 2,755.73 per kg. It is recommended that UD Taufik Jaya Makmur in Samarinda should calculate and charge all elements of the factory overhead costs in one production period (month). This is done so that information about the cost of production can be a good basis for the factory in setting the selling price of envelopes at UD Taufik Jaya Makmur in Samarinda.

Nowadays there are many ways to improve the quality of raw materials, to shorten the technological process and increase the persistence of bread and flour products. Most of them are based on the introduction of extra components to the recipe to facilitate fermentation processes intensification and protein matrix swelling starch development. Introduction of additional components often causes an increase in the cost of finished products and falls on the consumers spending. Also, we cannot ignore the fact that the introduction of extra components changes the traditional recipe much. Because of this, the study of the physical nature factors that are used for intensification of biotechnological processes becoming very popular. The article points out that physical nature factors used to intensify that biotechnological processes can be viewed by water activation that obtained by ultrasound (US) exposure.
