The physical and mechanical properties of the soil can be determined based on laboratory tests by testing soil samples obtained from field drilling. At one point it can be done simultaneously between SPT testing and drilling. Therefore, it can be known simultaneously the value of N-SPT with the physical and mechanical properties of the soil. The purpose of this study was to obtain a relationship between the cone resistance value (qc) obtained in the field and the cohesion value for cohesive soil types. This study uses primary data, and secondary data. The results of the correlation between the cone resistance value (qc) obtained in the field and the cohesion value for cohesive soil types show a strong correlation. This is indicated by the regression value which reaches a value of 0.75, which is 0.7809. The regression equation obtained is y = 0.0138x – 0.0063. The coefficient of the cone resistance value is 0.0138, indicating that every 1 constant increase in the cone resistance value variable will increase the cohesive value in the cohesive soil by 0.0138. The positive regression coefficient indicates that the higher the cone resistance value (qc), the higher the value of cohesion (c) for cohesive soils.

AbstractEstimation of physical and mechanical properties of cohesive soil stabilized by hydratized lime addition. Process of chemical stabilization of cohesive soils influences its mechanical properties, also in the case of soil cohesion. The main purpose of this work is to investigate the effect of benzoyl treatment on the performance of sugar palm/kenaf fiber-reinforced polypropylene hybrid composites. Water absorption tests were carried out to confirm the effect of benzoylation treatment toward fabricating a more hydrophobic behavior of the hybrid composites. Both treated and untreated composites that have 10 wt.% of fiber loading with three different fiber ratios between sugar palm and kenaf (7:3, 5:5, 3:7) were analyzed. Physical and mechanical properties such as tensile, flexural, and impact strength were determined from this study. Morphological properties were obtained using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was found that the tensile strength of sugar palm/kenaf-reinforced polypropylene hybrid composites was improved with the treatment of benzoyl with a value of 19.41 MPa. In addition, hybrid composite with treated sugar palm and kenaf fiber T-SP3K7 recorded the highest impact and flexural strength of 19.4 MPa and 18.4 MPa, respectively. In addition, SEM demonstrated that surface treatment enhanced the mechanical properties of the hybrid composites. Overall, it can be suggested that benzoyl-treated composites with a higher volume of kenaf fiber than sugar palm fiber will improve the mechanical characteristics of the hybrid composites.

Abstrak - Penelitian ini dibuat dengan didasarkan pada sebuah permasalahan terhadap faktor secara fisik di rumah sakit. Termasuk hal mengenai peralatan dan sarana prasarana kerja yang belum tertata dengan baik, temperatur ruangan tempat bekerja terasa panas dan tidak dingin, tempat bekerja yang kurang nyaman dan kondusif, terjadi kepadatan di lingkungan kerja, polusi suara yang tinggi menyebabkan kebisingan pada lingkungan kerja, luas ruangan kurang memadai yang mengakibatkan area perekam medis tersebut bekerja termasuk dalam beraktivitas berdampak buruk terhadap tingkat fokus bekerja tenaga perekam medis secara langsung. Pada akhirnya kenyamanan kerja tenaga perekam medis terganggu. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling bola salju dalam penentuan sampel serta memakai metode penelitian deskriptif dan verifikatif dalam pembahasan dan pengolahan penelitian. Data primer merupakan teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai dan juga teknik data sekunder. Penelitian ini menghasilkan informasi bahwa lingkungan bekerja, konsentrasi dan kenyamanan bekerja masuk dalam kategori cukup baik. Dari kegiatan wawancara dan kuesioner terhadap 9 sampel yang diuji melalui lembar study kasus, menghasilkan informasi bahwa secara bersama-sama lingkungan bekerja fisik mempunyai pengaruh yang positif serta signifikan terhadap kenyamanan kerja. Pengaruh lingkungan bekerja terhadap kepuasan bekerja diperoleh besaran nilai yaitu 66,7%, kemudian faktor lain yang juga mempengaruhi akan tetapi tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan besaran nilai 33,3%.  Abstract - This research was made based on a problem with physical factors in the hospital. Including matters regarding work equipment and infrastructure that have not been properly organized, the room temperature is hot and not cold, the work place is less comfortable and conducive, there is density in the work environment, high noise pollution causes noise in the work environment, the area of ​​the room inadequate which resulted in the location of the medical recorder working including in activities having a negative impact on the level of focus of the medical recorders work directly. In the end, the work comfort of the medical recorders was disrupted. This study uses snowball sampling techniques in determining the sample and uses descriptive and verification research methods in the discussion and research processing. Primary data is a data collection technique used as well as secondary data techniques. This research produces information that the work environment, concentration and work comfort are in the good enough category. From interviews and questionnaires to 9 samples tested through the case study sheet, it provides information that together the physical work environment has a positive and significant effect on work comfort. The influence of the work environment on job satisfaction obtained a value of 66.7%, then other factors that also influence but are not discussed in this study show a value of 33.3%..

The aimed of this research is to investigate the effect of T-Joint’s root gap on physical and mechanical properties of weld metal. Low carbon steel were joined in T-joint types using MIG (Metal Inert Gas) with variation of root gap. The root gap used were 0 mm, 3 mm and 6 mm. The physical properties examined with chemical composition, microstructure and corrosion using optical microscope. The mechanical properties were measured with respect to the strength and hardness using Universal testing machine and Vickers Microhardness. The results show that the highest value found in welds with a gap of 3 mm with a value of 163.57 MPa. Hardness value is directly proportional to the tensile strength of the material. The highest value found in welds with root gap of 3 mm, followed by root gap of 6 mm, and 0 mm Hardness values in the welding area is higher than the parent metal and HAZ because the number of Si, Mn and Cu elements in the welding metals are bigger than base metal. Weld with all variation of root gap have a good corrosion resistance because the corrosion rate in welds with various root gap have a value below 0.02 mmpy. Microstructure of weld metals were Accicular ferrite, Widmanstatten ferrite, and grain boundary ferrite, while microstructure of base metal and HAZ were ferrite and perlite.

This research aims to analyze the growth of the fisheries sector, analyze the commodity market strength of the fisheries sector and analyze the strength of the fisheries sector's base and non-base sectors in regional development in Batam City. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using secondary data cross-section and time series which are then analyzed using descriptive statistics, and qualitative methods using primary data obtained through interview questionnaires. Analysis of the data used is growth index analysis, Trade Area Capture (TAC) analysis, Pull Factor analysis (PF) and Minimum Requirement Approach (MRA) analysis. The results of the growth index analysis show that the GDP of the fisheries sector in the Batam City has increased by 126 % in the period 2013-2018. The results of the 2013-2018 TAC analysis showed that the TAC value> population indicated that Batam City was able to capture the opportunities of trade in fisheries products in other regions. PF value of the Batam City fisheries sector> 1 which shows that the Batam City region can attract customers from other regions and has a specialization in terms of fishery product markets. MRA analysis results in Batam City in 2017 obtained the largest base multiplier in BatuAji District with a value of 2.4 which means that every 20 workers in the base sector are expected to create 4 workers in the non-base sector.

<p>The purpose of this research is to know the influence of confidence and determination towards entrepreneurship. The data in this study consists of primary data obtained through questionnaires while the secondary data obtained through the village new terrain Medan Denai. The data obtained are then processed and analyzed with statistical test of Chi-Square in order to be retrieved if there is influence of confidence and determination towards entrepreneurship. The results showed: 1) majority of Entrepreneurship with the category both as much as 48 (52.7%) and the category less obtained 43 (47.3%), 2) the confidence of the majority of the categories less as much as 47 (51.6%) and the category strong retrieved 44 (48.4%), 3) the determination of the majority with a low category as many as 57 (62.6%) and higher category obtained 34 (37.4%), 4) confident effect on entrepreneurship with a value of p = 0.000. 5) determination to entrepreneurship with the value p = 0.028. Of research results obtained then expected society that entrepreneurship can instill a strong determination and has high confidence in entrepreneurship as well as Assistant researchers furthermore expected to be developed by adding some of the variables. It is based on that there are several factors that affect entrepreneurship.</p>

The waste from the wood and brick industry in Central Kalimantan is largely unused. The research objective aims to analyze the physical and mechanical properties of clay soil in the Tumbang Rungan area of ​​Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan and the effect of adding sawdust ash and brick powder based on the consolidation test and the time of subsidence of the clay soil using the Terzaghi one-dimensional consolidation method with the addition of a mixture of 2 variations 2,5%, 5% and 7,5%. Tests conducted are to obtain the consolidation reduction value (Sc) and the consolidation coefficient value (Cv). The results of the study using a mixture of sawdust ash and brick powder obtained changes in the Sc and Cv values ​​of the original soil. The original soil has a value of Sc (e) = 0.291 cm and Cv (t50) = 0.01913205 cm²/s, Cv (t90) = 0.031062161 cm²/s and the addition of a mixture of 5% variation of material has decreased the value of Sc (e) = 0.203 cm and Cv (t50) = 0.00722173 cm²/s, Cv (t90) = 0.011679143 cm²/s. The effective mixture variation for adding mixed material to clay is a variation of 5%.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect on the performance of work discipline employees of PT. PLN Singkawang area. Methods using descriptive method with data collection consists of primary data include interviews, questionnaires, and observations and secondary data by studying the documentation. Saturated samples used in this study, so that the number of respondents is 144 people. The analysis is correlation and linear regression. The results of this study indicate that the correlation between the two is a weak correlation, based on the analysis of regression equation y = 3.284 to 0.004, which means if there is no increase in the value of labor discipline, then the value of the performance of employees is 3,284. Regression coefficient of -0.004 states that any decrease in the value of labor discipline the employee's performance is also decreased, by t test obtained t count equal to -1.176. From the above data obtained t = -1.176 while the results obtained for 1,656 ttabel (df = n-2 = 144-2 = 142). So the result that t < ttable or -1.176 <1.656 which means that the discipline of work does not affect significantly the performance of employees of PT. PLN Singkawang area and by coefficient of determination obtained a value of 0.10, meaning that the performance (Y) is influenced by 10% by the discipline of work, while the rest (100% -10% = 90%) is explained by other factors, and because of the small number of that means having a weak correlation between the two variables.

The review of soil types prevailing in Western Siberia of the Russian Federation is presented. The compositions and physical and mechanical properties of soils are analyzed. Special attention is paid to loess subsidence soils. The problem of obtaining a homogeneous cement-ground mixture is formulated and set. The technological scheme of production of cement-ground piles of foundations of buildings and structures by drilling-mixing method with mechanical activation is considered. Considers methods of strengthening the loess subsidence of soils. Methods for studying the properties of cement-based piles of foundations of buildings and structures are formulated. A multi-factor experiment was conducted to evaluate the parameters that affect the properties of cement-based piles. Based on the research results, conclusions and recommendations are formulated.

The objectives of this research were to determine the flow of supply chain Fresh Fruit Bunches in PT. Sandabi Indah Lestari (PT.SIL) and analysis the value of marketing margin earned each marketing agency in the supply chain Fresh Fruit Bunches in PT. SIL. Primary data and secondary data were used in this research which was taken in February 2016 to March 2016. Data collection was done by observation, recording and interviews. Data analysis technique was in this research quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of this research concluded that there were three patterns of flow in the supply chain PT.SIL. The third stream of the supply chain, namely, supply chin flow pattern 1: non plasma farmers - traders - supplier - PT.SIL. The flow pattern of the supply chain II: non plasma farmers - supplier - PT.SIL. The flow pattern of the supply chain III : non plasma farmers – PT. SIL. The flow patterns of supply chain IV: plasma farmers - KSU-BKM - PT. SIL. Marketing margin obtained marketing agencies in the supply chain flow 1 was Rp 230/ kg. Stream supply chain II had a value of marketing margin Rp 230 / kg. The flow of the Supply Chain III had a value of marketing margin 0/Kg. The flow of the supply chain IV had a value of marketing margin of Rp 200 / Kg.Key words : Fruit Fresh Bunches, marketing margin, supply chain.
