The significance of their use in education is accompanied by numerous questions regarding elimination of negative influence of digital content on a forming developing person, on their rational and reasonable application at early stages of social and personal development of preschool children. The conceptual field of pedagogy is supplemented by new categories: digital education, digital education environment, digital competence. This article presents results of teachers’ surveying on the issue of readiness to designing information environment and attitude to the digital technologies implemented into education. On the one hand, the teachers highlighted advantages of the applied information technologies: individual education, possibility to master the program by preschool children and to consolidate knowledge and skills in the case of prolonged absence from studies, time saving, mobility and flexibility of education. On the other hand, the teachers mentioned the main drawbacks of the use of digital technologies: possible harm for health of children, inability of full development of speech, communication skills, development of gaming activity. The main problems preventing active use of modern technologies are comprised of low digital competence of university graduates and working teachers; age features of preschool children, which do not allow to study material without assistance by adults; the lack of opportunities of pupil’s parents to actively participate in educational activity of preschool entity.

In modern conditions of overall informatization, the majorities of children of older pre-school age actively use gadgets and have access to the Internet. However, just one-fourth of parents demonstrate concerns about digital security. That is why the issues associated with cybersecurity training in preschool education, legislative regulation in ensuring the security and development of children in a digital environment are relevant for present-day pre-school education. The study was based on the activities carried out by teachers and psychologists of the methodology association of the Leninsky district of Yekaterinburg. The methods used in the study involved observations, the analysis of information obtained through counseling and psychological checks, interviews, surveys of instructors and specialists dealing with parents in kindergarten. As a result, we revealed the problems with digital competence among all the participants of the process of upbringing and education and defined the impact of parents on the formation of digital literacy. Of special interest is a new position when the modern parent is given a “relief” from a child with the help of gadgets, which calls for family psychological support on pre-schoolers’ secure use of digital technologies. The main task of working with parents is to shape perceptions of the problems associated with free contacts of the child with information technologies and the necessity to control digital information received by the child.

The problem of distance between the processes of world transition to a new technological platform, information technologies, to the digital economy and digitalization of various spheres of activity, including education, on the one hand, and not sufficiently deep studies of the phenomenon of digital transformation, including the digital transformation of education, on the other hand, is studied. Lack of elaboration of the essence of digital transformation provokes the free and often marketing use of the concepts of digitalization, digital technologies, and digital transformation of education, and in practice leads to low efficiency of actions taken to implement projects and programs of digital transformation. The lack of strict assumptions leads to a lack of meanings, a multiple increase in the managerial and organizational complexity of implementing the actual practice of digital transformation in education, and as a result, there is an imitation or formal implementation of promising projects. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the General model of digital transformation and to specify it in relation to the digital transformation of education, demonstrating all the elements of the structure of the transformed object and the nature of the cardinal transformations. The hypothesis being tested — the transformation process covers not only the means of educational activity, in particular, digital technologies, but also other elements of it — the goal, object, subject, changing the essence of the educational activity itself, contrasting it with the processes of training and preparation. The system-based research methodology is used. Research methods: main — theoretical analysis and synthesis of existing scientific positions, observation of practical artifacts of digital transformation of education; accompanying — experimental method for testing the results of research. The main results were: distinguishing digital transformation projects, highlighting their unique properties and characteristics that differ from projects of optimization, improvement, development; substantiating the model of digital transformation of education, including proof that in the process of transformation, not only the means (digital technologies), but also the content of the educational process, its goals, subjects and methods of communication between them change dramatically. This suggests a new approach to changing the education process under the influence of digital transformation, its distance from the processes of education and training, which will become a starting point in the self-organization of teams of projects of digital transformation of education. The results will be useful to heads of education authorities at all levels, managers and development teams of educational organizations of basic and additional education, who are planning or implementing digital transformation projects.
