Vocational education plays a pivotal role in achieving gender equality in skill development, and it has impacted the participation of women in labor market. Although there are various schemes and programs run by different ministries of India, they lack gender focus. As a result, it has widened the gender gap in various socio-economic indicators. This chapter proposes a TVET framework from gender perspective along with the review of current technical and vocational education system in India. It also identifies the challenges faced by women in enhancing their skills and its impact on their employability.

The paper considers the strategic priorities of the interaction between the labor market and the educational services market aimed at correcting the imbalance in the labor market in the field of agriculture. The study was conducted on the basis of a set of general scientific methods using strategic and sociological analysis. The main strategic priorities of interaction between the labor market and the educational services market in order to improve the competitiveness of graduates of the vocational education system in the modern labor market have been identified. The paper highlights the role of informal education in ensuring human development as a subject of labor.

In a situation of uncertainty, there is a rapid change of priorities, which is reflected both in the requirements for the level of professional training of specialists and in the requests of employers for new specialties. However, the list of specialties and areas of training of workers for the regional economy in the regional system of secondary vocational education is formed on the basis of applications from employers for a five-year perspective, but in a situation of uncertainty, no one can guarantee that in five years graduates of a particular specialty or profession will be in demand in the labor market. To achieve a balance in this problem, it is necessary to develop and implement new mechanisms for interaction between professional educational organizations and employers. The aim of this study is to determine the list of popular vocational education specialties, the description and identification of effective mechanisms of interaction between professional educational organizations and employers that affect the improvement of the quality of specialists training and the indicators of their employment according to their specialty based on the analysis of the indicators of the admission campaign and graduates employment of vocational education system of the Republic of Buryatia.

Today, changes are being made to the main regulatory documents in the field of education, which require a revision of the structure and content of federal state standards. In addition, the labor market requires synchronization of content with the requirements of specific industries. All this required a revision of the layout of the standard for secondary vocational education. Today, 100 educational standards are already in development.For the study, an analysis of the current federal state educational standards and their changes since their introduction in the system of secondary vocational education was carried out. And also considered the latest changes in the regulatory framework of secondary vocational education. Based on the method of analysis, the main changes in the structure and content of federal educational standards were identified. On the basis of the modeling method, the directions of changes in the approximate basic educational programs were determined.The changes identified in the course of the study will allow educational organizations to more successfully apply these standards in the development of basic educational programs.Changes in the vocational education system associated with the approbation of a new layout will allow the education system to respond to the dynamically changing demands of the labor market and provide training for workers who meet the modern requirements of the economy.

The article assesses the consequences of reforming the vocational education system in Russia and its impact on the quality of graduate training. The need for changes in the education system is due to the transformation of the economy and the development of a knowledge society. The paper analyzes the main results of the reforms carried out since the beginning of the 200s. The conclusion is made that the reform of the education system allowed students to adapt more flexibly to the labor market conditions. It is noted that at present there is a gap between the real availability of professional personnel and their competencies and the needs of the economy. The article emphasizes that the introduction of two-level training for most humanitarian and natural sciences turned out to be optimal, but for a number of technical specialties negatively affected the quality of training. The authors suggest areas for further reform of the vocational education system in accordance with the requirements of the labor market.

Globalization challenges, which affected the geopolitical and economic processes, labor market transformation and education internationalization have shaped the urgency of the problem. The purpose of the article is to compare vocational education systems in Germany and Turkey (using the dual system as an example) in order to identify the possibilities of transferring ideas and practices of the dual education system. A comparative analysis is the leading research method, which uses the context, transfer and forecasting methodology. Description and comparison of the context main elements allow determining the possibilities and conditions of the dual education system transfer. The findings provide an opportunity to identify transfer risks and predict the consequences of borrowing. The research results significance consists in context, transfer, and forecasting substantiating as the comparative analysis elements and applying this methodology to the processes of professional education.

The article deals with such an important segment of vocational education system of the Republic of Korea as work-based learning which is currently not obligatory particularly due to the absence of quality standards and clear legal base. The article describes advantages of  work-based learning for vocational  education students, such as organization of proper learning environment, smoothing of transfer period from learning to work, practical benefits for an employer and ensuring compliance of vocational education to the requirements of labor market. The article describes problems which vocational education system the Republic of Korea is facing while implementing mandatory work-based learning and the  ways of  solution of  these problems taken by the Government of the country. Especially the article emphasizes the  necessity and variants of  closer interaction between vocational institutions and employing companies in order to achieve the maximum positive effect from the organization of training at the workplace.
