This paper studies the technology of Electrochemical Mechanical Finishing (ECMF) on rolling bearing raceway. The principle of the technology is introduced, and the finishing results are presented. The results show that the surface roughness, supporting length rate, profile roundness, waveness and wave velocity are all improved greatly. Also, the main affecting factors such as the inter-electrode gap, electrochemical process and mechanical process are discussed in this paper. The bearings finished by ECMF have better service performance and life.

Cyber-physical systems are gaining momentum in the domain of manufacturing. Cloud Manufacturing is also revolutionizing the manufacturing world. However, although there exist numerous physical manufacturing machines which are network-ready, very few of them are operated in a networked environment due to lack of scalability of existing cyber-physical systems. Combining the features offered by cloud manufacturing and cyber-physical systems, we develop a service-oriented architecture of scalable cyber-physical manufacturing cloud with MTConnect. A testbed of cyber-physical manufacturing cloud is being developed based on the above scalable architecture. In this system, manufacturing machines and their capabilities virtualized in a cyber-physical cloud. Manufacturing operations are represented as web services so that they are accessible across the Internet. Performance of the testbed of our cyber-physical manufacturing cloud with MTConnect is evaluated and test results show that our system achieves excellent service performance of manufacturing operations across Internet.

Currently, the company competition is getting tighter. Distribution companies need to provide excellent service to their customers to maintain their competitiveness. Distribution service performance could be measured with lead time. However, Reducing lead times may increase costs. This problem could be solved using freight consolidation and reducing backhaul. Freight consolidation can be done by using a hub-and-spoke network with a combination of inbound and outbound distribution. This study developed a route model for hybrid hub-and-spoke with time windows. This model determined the routes for shipping goods to consumers and taking products to suppliers using the same vehicle to reduce the backhaul. This model also conducted freight consolidation at the hub. The decision variables in this model included the routes of delivery to consumers, the collection of goods at the suppliers, the number of products distributed through the hub and direct shipping, and the good distribution route. This model was implemented into the problems. Besides, sensitivity analysis of the model was carried out.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to analyse the implementation of performance measurement tools by medium-to-large size Italian Local Governments (ILGs) with the aim of establishing their position in comparison with the content of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board’s (IPSASB’s) Consultation Paper (CP) on Reporting Service Performance Information and the points of views of other countries. Design/methodology/approach – A survey of all ILGs with more than 50,000 inhabitants has been carried out with the objective of evaluating which kind of performance management tools are implemented; moreover, these results are compared with the content of the IPSASB’s CP to evaluate the role of this guide as well as the main differences between the IPSASB’s approach and the current situation in Italy. Findings – Data collected highlight that several performance measurement tools required by law are generally prepared in ILGs even if a limited use of them for decision-making or accountability purposes occurs. Moreover, in accordance with the opinions of the countries that submitted letters of comment to IPSASB’s CP, Italian results reveal that information on the scope of the service performance information, on the entity’s objectives and their achievement, including a narrative discussion of this achievement, are perceived as relevant. Originality/value – The research investigates the future development of the CP by analyzing the points of view of the countries that submitted letters of comments to IPSASB. It also examines whether the current Italian situation is in line with the IPSASB’s position.

End plate of some large container is of non-conventional type and rather large size, which is difficult to be formed. To choose fit technology parameters and mould structure, stress is analyzed and bending of shallow stretch forming rule is obeyed. Technology of large container end plate stretch forming in 500 tons oil hydraulic press is researched and one mould manufacturing method is given fit for shallow stretch forming. In this technology, to form convex bottom and improve strength, material-pressure plate is not adopted. To reduce wrinkle and stretch force, 30 degree cone of cavity die is selected. To reduce bending deformation and destabilization, round radius of male punch is 8 millimeters.

One sphere in which corrosion has presented little or no problem is that of bright anodized exterior trim on motor vehicles. A brief survey is made in this paper of the principal aluminium alloys used for this purpose, the nature of the anodizing process, and methods used for quality control. The excellent service performance is a result of the use of high-purity materials coupled with the extreme care and cleanliness required at all stages of production and fabrication to produce materials of anodizing quality. Reference is also made to maintenance, design, fixing, and painting of anodized trim.

Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu sebagai salah satu wujud dari keinginan pemerintah untuk merubah kinerja pelayanan yang selama ini tidak memberikan layanan yang prima. Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu di Unit Layanan Terpadu Kementerian Pendidikan Dan Kebudayaan merupakan pelayanan terpadu satu pintu yang memberikan layanan non-perizinan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode SMS (System Mapping Study) dan SLR (System Literatur Review) untuk mengetahui Kepuasan Masyarakat dengan menggunakan Indeks Kepuasan Masyarakat berdasarkan pada Peraturan Kemenpan R&B No 25 Tahun 2004, tentang  Indeks Kepuasan Masyarakat (IKM).  One Stop Integrated Service as a form of the government's desire to change the service performance that has not provided excellent service. One Stop Integrated Service in the Integrated Service Unit of the Ministry of Education and Culture is a one-stop integrated service that provides non-licensing services. This research uses the method of SMS (System Mapping Study) and SLR (System Literature Review) to know Satisfaction of Society by using Satisfaction Index of Community based on Regulation of Kemenpan R & B No. 25 Year 2004, about Satisfaction Index (IKM).
