The purpose of the research is to explore how to reach a consensus on the development of cultural tourism and the sustainability of the entire rural environment from the perspective of different rights holders. Using Beigang Township in Taiwan as a case study, we first conducted a questionnaire survey and analyzed 600 respondents by statistical verifications method, then used an interview method to compile suggestions from experts and scholars, and finally conducted a field survey to collect actual information. After summarizing, organizing, and analyzing all the data, the study was examined in a multivariate manner. This study concludes that creating parking spaces, providing a comfortable resting place, facilitating the exchange of ideas, and improving the environmental literacy of the public will increase the public attention to issues such as village visibility, people interaction, ancient architecture, culture and totems, public health and transportation, and entrepreneurial development, as well as address the concerns of local residents and some men and people over 31–40 years old. By doing so, we can improve community building and security, enrich cultural resources, build and develop sufficient industries, stabilize prices, obtain a safe and hygienic village environment, increase the desire to revisit, become a recommendation for family travel, and achieve the goal of sustainable development of rural environment and health.

The peculiarity of the contemporary historical period, Ukraine is currently in, is the necessity of rapid reaction to new challenges and threats, which were absolutely unknown recently. The experience of recent years showed that information security is the most important component of the national security of the state. Neglect of threats in this area leads to economic catastrophes, diplomatic crises, military conflicts, wars and territorial losses. Information warfare is the war of the future, having numerous advantages over armed conflict resolution: these include relatively lower economic costs, anonymous nature of the enemy (which complicates contractions), and absence of informational borders in modern globalized world, as well as inability to set the rules of the game. The most spread methods of realization of the set goals in the information warfare are propaganda, manipulation, disinformation, and diversification of public consciousness. Herewith, one of the main components of the information warfare is rhetoric, aimed to form public consciousness in a holistic way. This research is the continuation of the study of the informational field of the occupied territories of Donbas, started in the article “Some aspects of humanitarian challenges of safe reintegration processes of Temporary Occupied Territories of Separate Districts of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions: role of mass media”. The research aims to distinguish and formulate the main messages and rhetoric, which are basic for the contemporary informational policy of quasi-states on the Temporary Occupied Territories of Separate Districts of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions. For the realization of the set aim, the following tasks should be performed:– distinguishing of theoretical approaches to the concept “rhetoric”:– analysis of the website of the “Ministry of Information of Donetsk People’s Republic” and “Ministry of communication and mass communication of Luhansk People’s Republic”:- distinguishing and formulation of the main rhetoric and messages, which are basic for the informational policy on the occupied territories, based on the analysis of the content of the websites of ministries.Hypothesis: Contemporary informational policy, which is formulated by the quasi-government, does not facilitate safe reintegration of the occupied territories into Ukraine and forms rhetoric, working for approaching with the Russian Federation, in the public consciousness. The main news themes and projects, the ministries realized, were determined. Themes of news (the period analysed - January 2021), which were further grouped into six main blocks were studied. The percentage weight of each news block was determined and further visualized in the work using the graphic method. The main rhetoric, working at the formation of public consciousness in “republics” was defined on the basis of the conducted analysis of the news feed of the ministries responsible for information policy in Luhansk and Donetsk People’s republics.

2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of Ukrainian independence. OnJanuary 22, 1918, the Ukrainian People’s Republic proclaimed its independence by adopting the IV Universal of the Ukrainian Central Rada, although this significant event was «wiped out» from the public consciousness on the territory of Ukraine during the years of the Soviet totalitarian regime. At the same time, January 22 was a crucial event for the Ukrainian diaspora in the USA. This article examines how American Ukrainians interacted with the USA Government institutions regarding the celebration and recognition of the Ukrainian Independence day on January 22. The attention is focused on the activities of ethnic Ukrainians in the United States, directed at the organization of the special celebration of the Ukrainian Independence anniversaries in the US Congress and cities. Drawing from the diaspora press and Congressional Records, this article argues that many members of Congress participated in the observed celebration and expressed kind feelings to the Ukrainian people, recognised their fight for freedom, during the House of Representatives and Senate sessions. Several Congressmen submitted the resolutions in the US Congress urging the President of United States to designate January 22 as «Ukrainian lndependence Day». January 22 was proclaimed Ukrainian Day by the governors of fifteen States and mayors of many cities. Volunteers are considered a core component of special events and they have proved to be an asset to the execution of special events. Although motivations of volunteers have received a great deal of attention from many organizations and individuals in the private sector, little research has been done on motivations of volunteers in the public sector, or within the federal government. Therefore, this article identified motivational factors that prompt federal government workers to volunteer at a government-related special event. A survey was used to gather data from a volunteer sample of 263 individuals who had volunteered for public sector special events in recent years. Exploratory factor analysis and t test were employed to establish motivations that stimulate public sector employees to volunteer for special events and further determine the differences in motivation between females and males. The results showed that government workers mostly volunteer for purposive motive and external motive. In addition, gender played significant roles on egotistic and purposive motives. Thus, this research provides a unique theoretical contribution to research in event management by advancing our understanding of the process by which factors associated with motivation can lead to federal government workers volunteering at a government-related special event; subsequently, impacting how event planners and organizers of public sector special events market to and recruit volunteers.

This chapter asks the questions: ‘what is the Spanish Golden Age and why should we stage its plays now?’ The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) Spanish season of 2004–5 came at a particularly ripe time for Golden Age plays to enter the public consciousness. This chapter introduces the Golden Age period and authors whose works were chosen for the season, and the performance traditions from the corrales of Spain to festivals in the United States. The chapter then treats the decision taken by the RSC to initiate a Golden Age season, delves into the play-selection process, and discusses the role of the literal translator in this first step towards a season. Then the chapter looks at ‘the ones that got away’, the plays that almost made the cut for production, and other worthy scripts from this period that deserve consideration for future productions.
