In the medical clinic, we often face health problems that have no known cause, even after a thorough examination. Biomedicine is often unable to find a cure in these situations, leaving the problem unsolved or leaving the patient on a palliative pharmaceutical cure, which is often for a lifetime. In this case, consciousness-based, holistic medicine could be an alternative. Using the theories and tools of holistic medicine wisely, the physician can often provide treatment for the patient. The toolbox of holistic medicine makes it possible to work on everybody because there is always something related to the patients quality of life that can be improved: his love, his purpose of life, and the way he uses his talents, his mind, his feelings, his body, and his sexuality. For treatment in holistic medicine, it really does not matter as much that you cannot give the patient a precise medical diagnosis, because you can always work on the patient with the intention of healing his or her whole life and existence. It is quite a paradox that many of these diseases can be understood on the level of the individual patient at the same moment that the patient is cured; many of these diseases seem to be clearly related to the repression of the individual character, as stressed already by Hippocrates. So if you simply start working with the patient to help him confront old existential pain and coach him in his personal development of his life by intensifying its meaning and purpose, the symptoms very often simply disappear. The toolbox of holistic medicine also seems relevant to even difficult, neurotic, psychosomatic, and hypochondriac patients. Believing in the treatment and not giving up on your patient, and moving forward in the treatment with the patient himself is the ultimate goal, even when you yourself do not understand the mechanism fully. This will force you to develop your own competence and is, in essence, what makes an outstanding holistic physician.

The article stated that modern Ukrainian education and science require a new understanding of the philosophical and intellectual concepts, theories, and the experience of education organization in synchronic and diachronic discourse, which provides the quality of innovative educational and scientific reformation, enrichment of the nation's intellect, and search for landmarks in the establishment of Ukraine in the European space. The conceptual ideas of academician Ivan Andriiovych Ziaziun are generalized in order to actualize the philosophical and pedagogical achievements of the scientist-philosopher in modern pedagogical theory and educational practice. The conceptual ideas of academician I. Ziaziun were embodied in the author's conceptions of the philosophical and pedagogical heritage: "philosophy of education", "pedagogical excellence", "pedagogy of good", "the beauty of pedagogical action" etc. The scientist substantiated the interdisciplinary connection of psychology and pedagogy, extrapolating it in the context of the meaning of consciousness and sub- consciousness in professional and personal development of a teacher, giving meaningful value to reflection as an instrument of self-evaluation and self-perfection. The problem of human nature is a pivot in the philosophical concept of academicianI. Ziaziun, which manifests itself in the spiritual, psychic, ethical and aesthetic dimensions of human life. In the context of defining the human nature of the individual, the academician substantiated the principles of the philosophy of education. The key requirement of the humanistic paradigm of education is pedagogical thinking and pedagogical action, which constitute the values of subject-subject interaction in the educational environment. The scientist emphasized that pedagogical excellence is a manifestation of activity of teacher personality, a humanistic philoso- phical position, the effectiveness of extrapolation of adequate methods and forms of learning. The teacher's pedagogical act is manifested in self-realization within pedagogical activity, which ensures the self-development of student's personality, in pedagogical technique, speech culture, the dialogic nature of communication, the search for truth, in figurative aesthetic worldview, and creative activity.

The exclusive role of culture and education in the modern strategy of sustainable development is emphasized. For so many centuries, culture and education had a distinct flavor of luxury and were available, as a rule, to a select few. Currently, there is a widespread expansion of culture and education, and indicators of upbringing and training have become the primary condition for the sustainable existence of society and the individual. The question arises: what is the hidden primacy of culture and education today? The authors call the answer to it moral postulates and enlightenment, which affect not only the human mind, but feelings and soul, giving rise to desires and actions that obey the will. It is concluded that ideals, beliefs and other qualitative characteristics of a person are the main regulators of sustainable social life. Thus, the role of culture and education is to implement social harmony and ensure the quality of life of people.

Musculoskeletal and connective tissue diseases represent a growing public health problem and pose a major burden on health systems. Due to the increasing prevalence of musculoskeletal and connective tissue diseases, this area is becoming increasingly important in work organizations. An individual with health problems is less efficient and less productive at work, which results in poorer economic results. The health problems caused by these diseases also lead to premature retirement and a poorer quality of life for the individual. This increases the direct and indirect costs that burden employers and society as a whole. In cooperation with the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana in 2000 the Slovenian National Institute of Public Health analyzed the economic burden of selected six diagnoses of the most common causes of musculoskeletal and connective tissue diseases for the period 2016 to 2018, on the basis of routine health databases. Based on the calculation of indirect and direct costs, the economic burden of musculoskeletal and connective tissue diseases accounted for about 5% of total health expenditure, which is 0.4% of gross domestic product in the study period. Risk factors associated with the development of diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue can be influenced by a healthy lifestyle, which is reflected in a better quality of life of the individual and higher productivity in work organizations.

The holistic medical approach seems to be efficient and can also be used in adolescent medicine. Supporting the teenager to grow and develop is extremely important in order to prevent many of the problems they can carry into adulthood. The simple consciousness-based, holistic medicine — giving love, winning trust, giving holding, and getting permission to help the patient feel, understand, and let go of negative beliefs — is easy for the physician interested in this kind of practice and it requires little previous training for the physician to be able to care for his/her patient. A deeper insight into the principles of holistic treatment and a thorough understanding of our fellow human beings are making it work even better. Holistic medicine is not a miracle cure, but rather a means by which the empathic physician can support the patient in improving his/her future life in respect to quality of life, health, and functional capacity — through coaching the patient to work on him/herself in a hard and disciplined manner. When the patient is young, this work is so much easier. During our lifetime, we have several emotional traumas arranged in the subconscious mind with the smallest at the top, and it is normal for the person to work on a large number of traumatic events that have been processed to varying degrees. Some traumas have been acknowledged, some are still being explored by the person, and yet others are still preconscious, which can be seen for example in the form of muscle tension. Sometimes the young dysfunctional patient carries severe traumas of a violent or sexual nature, but the physician skilled in the holistic medical toolbox can help the patient on his/her way to an excellent quality of life, full self-expression, a love and sex life, and a realization of his/her talents — all that a young patient is typically dreaming about. Biomedicine is not necessary or even recommended when the physical or mental symptoms are caused by disturbances in the personal development that can be corrected with love and understanding. If possible, biomedicine must be avoided, even if this means suffering for the young person, who needs to confront the tough realities of life in order to grow into an able and sound adult.

BackgroundAntidepressant drugs are widely used in the treatment of depression in people with chronic physical health problems.AimsTo examine evidence related to efficacy, tolerability and safety of antidepressants for people with depression and with chronic physical health problems.MethodMeta-analyses of randomised controlled efficacy trials of antidepressants in depression in chronic physical health conditions. Systematic review of safety studies.ResultsSixty-three studies met inclusion criteria (5794 participants). In placebo-controlled studies, antidepressants showed a significant advantage in respect to remission and/or response: selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) risk ratio (RR) = 0.81 (95% CI 0.73–0.91) for remission, RR = 0.83 (95% CI 0.71–0.97) for response; tricyclics RR = 0.70 (95% CI 0.40–1.25 (not significant)) for remission, RR = 0.55 (95% 0.43–0.70) for response. Both groups of drugs were less well tolerated than placebo (leaving study early due to adverse effects) for SSRIs RR = 1.80 (95% CI 1.16–2.78), for tricyclics RR = 2.00 (95% CI 0.99–3.57). Only SSRIs were shown to improve quality of life. Direct comparisons of SSRIs and tricyclics revealed no advantage for either group for remission, response, effect size or tolerability. Effectiveness studies suggest a neutral or beneficial effect on mortality for antidepressants in participants with recent myocardial infarction.ConclusionsAntidepressants are efficacious and safe in the treatment of depression occurring in the context of chronic physical health problems. The SSRIs are probably the antidepressants of first choice given their demonstrable effect on quality of life and their apparent safety in cardiovascular disease.

The article reveals and lists modern requirements for the economist's personality, as well as individual abilities of the individual. The concept of forming the foundations of professionalism is given. Funds for professional development, as well as the formation of readiness of students-future economists for analytical activities and a number of approaches are listed and allocated. The profession of economist is in demand in almost all enterprises, but employers do not choose yesterday's graduates, but specialists with experience. Given the concept, to achieve professionalism, it will not be enough just to get the appropriate education at a University, pass an internship and have certain properties that determine the quality of a specialist in the economic field. Training and economic education of students should be carried out continuously, comprehensively, systematically, purposefully and should cover all stages: from pre-school to higher professional education.

A review of current literature on stress and the disabled is discussed, comparing the commonality and uniqueness of their stressors to those of nonhandicapped individuals. A predictive analysis of concurrent mental and physical health problems utilizing the Stress Vector Analysis-R test battery indicated that an index of personal (psychosocial) stressor strength was superior to an index of occupational stressor strength in predicting stress-related health problems thqt could influence rehabilitation, productivity, and/or work attendance. Since the disabled population are expected to have all common stressors plus many unique ones, these results suggest the importance of an emphasis on the individual counseling and psychosocial stress diagnostic roles within the rehabilitation counseling process. In other words, emphasis should be placed on diagnosing and treating the problems of the “person” (psychosocial counseling), not just those of the “worker” (vocational counseling) in the client to optimize health and productivity both in the work place and at home. This supports previous assertions in the rehabilitation literature that rehabilitation workers should adopt the stress evaluation and stress management training roles as an integral part of the rehabilitation counseling process with their clients.

This paper shows how consciousness-based holistic medicine can be used in the case of asthma, allergy, and eczema. We have many fine drugs to relieve patients from the worst of these symptoms, where many children and adults suffer health problems related to hyper-reactivity of the immune system. Many symptoms remain throughout life because the drugs do not cure the allergy and allergy today is the sixth leading cause of chronic illness. The etiology of the immune disturbances is mostly unknown from a biomedical perspective. Consciousness-based holistic medicine could therefore be used to treat these diseases if the patient is willing to confront hidden existential pain, is motivated to work hard, and is dedicated to improve quality of life, quality of working life, and personal relationships. Improving quality of life is not always an easy job for the patient, but it can be done with coaching from the physician. An increased physical health is often observed after only a few sessions with a physician skilled in using holistic medical tools and able to coach the patient successfully through a few weeks of dedicated homework. Children with allergy and asthma can also be helped if their parents are able to do work on personal development, to improve the general quality of life in the family and their relationship with the child.
