This study focuses on potentials for development of high-quality beef industry in Thailand by reviewing information from various sources such as articles and web pages, including interviewing beef processors. We describe a situation of beef in ASEAN countries, demonstrated a beef supply chain and situation of high-quality beef in Thailand. Potentials and suggestion for development of high-quality beef industry are presented. This study shows that Thailand has potential for development of high-quality beef industry for exporting to ASEAN countries. However, there are problems in the supply chain regarding cattle farming, and food quality and safety need to be improved.

The red meat supply chain is a complex network transferring product from producers to consumers in a safe and secure way. There can be times when fragmentation can arise within the supply chain, which could be exploited. This risk needs reduction so that meat products enter the market with the desired attributes. Rapid Evaporative Ionisation Mass Spectrometry (REIMS) is a novel ambient mass spectrometry technique originally developed for rapid and accurate classification of biological tissue which is now being considered for use in a range of additional applications. It has subsequently shown promise for a range of food provenance, quality and safety applications with its ability to conduct ex vivo and in situ analysis. These are regarded as critical characteristics for technologies which can enable real-time decision making in meat processing plants and more broadly throughout the sector. This review presents an overview of the REIMS technology, and its application to the areas of provenance, quality and safety to the red meat industry, particularly in an Australian context.

As is known that, one of the challenges in ensuring the quality and safety of agricultural products in China is how to organize plenty of scattered small farmers and integrate them into the modern agricultural products supply chain system. In this paper, in order to promote the tight integration of agricultural products supply chain, based on multi-agent system, a computer simulation model of agricultural products supply chain is proposed. Through a series of simulation experiments, the evolution of the organizational structure of the agricultural products supply chain, its impact on the quality and safety of agricultural products under different government regulations are explored and discussed in detail. It follows from these simulation results that the more long-term-contract farmers and sellers, the more conducive to the improvement of the quality and safety of agricultural products, and the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are also provided.

Background: The purpose of this paper is to study customer satisfaction concerning orders from online supermarkets, which have recently boomed to fulfil the increased needs of customers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The service quality, as well as aspects of the logistics efficiency, are being examined, and the gaps between the expectations of people using these services and their perceptions about the received services are being evaluated. Methods: A modified approach of the well-known model SERVQUAL is suggested and used in the case of Greek online supermarkets. Thus, an initial contribution of this paper is the formulation of a framework which can be used to assess the quality of B2C logistics services. Results: The results show that customers’ expectations are exceeding their experiential perceptions in all the examined fields, and therefore there is room for substantial improvement. The study identified areas in which supermarkets’ online shops are close to meeting customer expectations and areas in which they fall far short. Conclusions: Competition is expected to become more intense and efficient supply chains that provide services of high quality will have a determinant role to play. Moreover, online supermarkets will have to rethink of their omni-channel structures to maintain and increase their market share. This is of particular importance during turbulent times such as the ones we are experiencing now.

At present, China’s economy has entered a new period of high-quality development from the stage of high-speed growth. The supply side structural reform focusing on removing production capacity, inventory, deleveraging, cost reduction and making up for weaknesses is a major strategic measure to enhance the driving force of sustained economic growth, solve the deep-seated problems of economic development and improve the quality of economic development. Accelerating the innovation and application of smart supply chain has become an important part of promoting supply side structural reform, cultivating new economic growth points and building a modern economic system. This paper mainly analyzes the emergence and research status of smart supply chain and the construction of smart supply chain system under the background of supply side reform, so as to promote the high-quality development of economy.

This research paper is to use a method of Evolutionary Game to investigate the relationship between a large supplier and a franchised supermarket in China. The authors would like to go through their empirical study with their filtered answers from the survey using SPSS software on agricultural supply chain for their quality safety factors. Their research is using factor analysis with five target factors which are: the excess return, cost, the relative size of cooperative enterprises, hitchhiking, and overflows income. Applying these factors to the evolutionary game model, analyze the earning status from the both players under their own policies, then make suggestions or proposals for quality and safety issues of agricultural supply chain management.
