Systems analysis technqiues are applied to several well cases in order to optimize production rate and gas consumption of a continuous flow gas lift system. It is a procedure whereby various components, such as well capability, tubing size, flowline size, and separator pressure are analyzed in conjunction with the entire system in order to optimize the individual well or group of wells in a field. The solution point (node) can be taken anywhere in the system, but normally taken at the bottom or top of the well, and preferably both. Example problems will show the most logical manner to increase the flow rate, reduce the gas consumption, or both. A lowering of separator pressure to increase the flow rate may be a serious mistake. Examples will show that a more logical approach may be to increase the flowline size. In conclusion, all the individual components of a system must be analyzed in conjunction with the entire system for proper final analysis.

Water flowing on a sprinkled tube bundle forms three basic modes: the Droplet mode (the liquid drips from one tube to another), the Jet mode (with an increasing flow rate, the droplets merge into a column) and the Membrane (Sheet) mode (with a further increase in the flow rate of the falling film liquid, the columns merge and create sheets between the tubes. With a sufficient flow rate, the sheets merge at this stage, and the tube bundle is completely covered by a thin liquid film). There are several factors influencing both the individual modes and the heat transfer. Beside the above-mentioned falling film liquid flow rate, these are for instance the tube diameters, the tube pitches in the tube bundle, or the physical conditions of the falling film liquid. This paper presents a summary of data measured at atmospheric pressure, with a tube bundle consisting of copper tubes of 12 millimetres in diameter, and with a studied tube length of one meter. The tubes are situated horizontally one above another at a pitch of 15 to 30 mm, and there is a distribution tube placed above them with water flowing through apertures of 1.0mm in diameter at a 9.2mm span. Two thermal conditions have been tested with all pitches: 15 °C to 40 °C and 15 °C to 45 °C. The temperature of the falling film liquid, which was heated during the flow through the exchanger, was 15 °C at the distribution tube input. The temperature of the heating liquid at the exchanger input, which had a constant flow rate of approx. 7.2. litres per minute, was 40 °C, or alternatively 45 °C.

This paper reports the results of a survey carried out to assess the clinical usage currently being made of gait analysis facilities within the UK. Thirty-five centres were circulated with a questionnaire which requested information under four main headings: (i) equipment, (ii) research projects, (iii) clinical service commitments, and (iv) subjective views of the ultimate clinical value of the service. Of the 25 completed questionnaires returned, 16 were suitable for inclusion in the final analysis of data. The survey provided useful data on the equipment and facilities available in each centre together with details of the service available to prospective referring clinicians. Ten centres were considered as being currently involved in some clinical work, with six of these being routinely involved. The respondents generally felt that gait analysis techniques have a clinical context, if not yet routinely, but the numbers of referrals to the centres is still quite small. A number of areas worthy of further work were identified by the respondents. It is hoped that presentation of these results will stimulate dialogue between centres and between clinicians and bioengineers.

With the widespread usage of systems analysis in political science over the last twenty years it is axiomatic that the problem of adaptation has been a recurring theme in the literature. At the level of the individual political system this concern has been germane to the work of Easton, the structural functionalists and the developmental/modernization writers. In International Politics writing, the problem of adaptation is central to both the applications of systems theory, at whatever level of analysis (for example Kaplan, Rosecrance at the systemic level, and Hanrieder and Modelski at the state level) and the less overtly theoretical works which still emphasize the importance of a state adapting to its environment.

Abstract It has been shown that bone cells are more responsive to fluid flow induced shear stress as compared to applied substrate strain (Owan, et al., 1997, Smalt, et al., 1997). Using novel micromechanical analysis techniques, we have measured individual cell strains resulting from 10 minutes of continuous fluid flow at a flow rate that produces a shear stress of 15 dyne/cm2. Individual cell strains varied widely from less than 1.0% to over 25% strain within the same group of cells. The increased sensitivity of cells to fluid flow induced shear stress may be attributed to much greater cellular deformations resulting from fluid flow induced sheer stress.

Subject. This article analyzes the effectiveness of public administration in the social sphere. Objectives. The article aims to standardize the decision-making process for managing the region's social development through statistical analysis techniques. Methods. For the study, we used correlation and cluster analyses. Results. The article highlights weaknesses in the development of the social sphere and assesses the relationship between the individual areas of its development, and the effectiveness of its financing. It offers algorithms that take into account the patterns of social development and the specifics of certain types of economic activity. Conclusions. The results obtained were used to develop algorithms to optimize the development of the social sphere at the regional level. The socio-economic differentiation of the Russian Federation subjects in a number of regions requires an analysis of the specifics of the development of the social sphere of the region under consideration and adjustments to the proposed algorithms.

Gas lift is one of the artificial lift method that has mechanism to decrease the flowing pressure gradient in the pipe or relieving the fluid column inside the tubing by injecting amount of gas into the annulus between casing and tubing. The volume of  injected gas was inversely proportional to decreasing of  flowing  pressure gradient, the more volume of gas injected the smaller the pressure gradient. Increasing flowrate is expected by decreasing pressure gradient, but it does not always obtained when the well is in optimum condition. The increasing of flow rate will not occured even though the volume of injected gas is abundant. Therefore, the precisely design of gas lift included amount of cycle, gas injection volume and oil recovery estimation is needed. At the begining well AB-1 using artificial lift method that was continuos gas lift with PI value assumption about 0.5 STB/D/psi. Along with decreasing of production flow rate dan availability of the gas injection in brownfield, so this well must be analyze to determined the appropriate production method under current well condition. There are two types of gas lift method, continuous and intermittent gas lift. Each type of gas lift has different optimal condition to increase the production rate. The optimum conditions of continuous gaslift are high productivity 0.5 STB/D/psi and minimum production rate 100 BFPD. Otherwise, the intermittent gas lift has limitations PI and production rate which is lower than continuous gas lift.The results of the analysis are Well AB-1 has production rate gain amount 20.75 BFPD from 23 BFPD became 43.75 BFPD with injected gas volume 200 MSCFPD and total cycle 13 cycle/day. This intermittent gas lift design affected gas injection volume efficiency amount 32%.

Extrasensory Perception merupakan suatu kemampuan untuk menerima rangsang atau informasi bukan melalui indera fisik, melainkan melalui pikiran (Rhine, 1997). Individu yang menghayati dirinya memiliki kemampuan extrasensory perception tidak selalu dapat menerima. Adanya kesadaran karakteristik kemampuan diri berbeda dengan orang lain akan mempengaruhi fungsi diri dan penerimaan diri individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran penerimaan diri pada individu yang memiliki extrasensory perception. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tipe penelitian fenomenologi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga orang yang dipilih secara purposif. Teknik penggalian data menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur, sedangkan teknik analisis menggunakan penelitian fenomenologi deskriptif (PFD). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tahapan proses penerimaan setiap individu tidak sama, hal ini dipengaruhi oleh penilaian dan kesadaran yang dimiliki oleh individu terhadap keadaan yang dialaminya. Faktor pendorong dalam penerimaan diri yang paling berpengaruh adalah dukungan sosial. Semua subjek dapat memaknai proses penerimaan diri terhadap kemampuan extrasensory perception secara positif. Extrasensory perception is the ability to receive stimuli or information not through the physical senses, but through the mind (Rhine, 1997). Individuals who have the ability to extrasensory perception cannot always accept. Characteristics of abilities different from others will affect self-function and self-acceptance. This study provides an overview of self-acceptance in individuals who have extrasensory perception. The research method uses qualitative methods with phenomenological research types. The research subjects were three people who were chosen purposively. Data extraction techniques use interviews, while analysis techniques use descriptive phenomenology research (PFD). The results of the study show that the individual acceptance process is not the same, because it is influenced by the assessment and awareness possessed by the individual towards the situation they experience. The driving factor in influencing self-acceptance is social support. All subjects can interpret the process of self-acceptance of the ability of extrasensory perception positively.

This study exposes about society changes when the formation and development of Trans Village program from isolation to acculturation. Its purpose is to identify how the community change from isolated to acculturated and changes then forms a social identity in Trans Village. The Theory used in this field is Henri Taifel’s social identity theory that stated the individual concept forms by their experience in the group by acknowledging and applied the social values, participate, and develops their sense of care and pride of their group. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study also uses data analysis techniques by reducing data, displaying data and drawing conclusions. The number of informants used is 9 people filtered through purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that the process from isolation to community acculturation occurred at the time of the formation and development of the Trans Village in Kurau Village. At first, the transmigrant communities are isolated from the local community so there are no interactions. Then by the time being, Trans Village leads to the transformation of social identity. Social identity is formed starting from the awareness, relationships, collaboration and harmonization among the people. People who were initially isolated have now become acculturated in Kampung Trans. This condition can be seen from the merging of the community, namely the local community and transmigrants in Trans Village which caused mixing between cultures so that new cultures are formed while still preserving old cultures. People live mingled by promoting the values ​​and rules that exist in Kampung Trans.
