The work considered a system of knowledge control of the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University. It was shown that the quality of higher education depends mainly on the level of student training, the qualifications of teaching staff, the organization of the learning process, the efficiency of monitoring the quality of the education, and also factors allowing to improve the quality of education in the university. Assessment of the knowledge quality received by the students in the "Chemistry" discipline was carried out among the students of the Automobile Faculty of the KHNADU, entered the first year of the Bachelor of full-time education, during 2014/15–2018/19 academic years. The control was carried out with the help of traditional pedagogical practice types – the main (preliminary, final, and control of residual knowledge) and periodical (current and thematic knowledge tests). Statistical research on the performance of the main types of students' knowledge control, as more significant, shows that the important part of educational activity in university is an effective organization of its control. It was established that main principles of the control of students’ knowledge received during learning subject are the regularity and systematical conduct, the objectivity of assessment of the level of students' skills, the ability to identify the actual level of learning educational materials by the students, the timeliness of identification of the gaps in the learning process by the teacher and applying ways to overcome them. The internal and external factors affecting the performance of students during studying the "Chemistry" discipline have been distinguished. The internal factors are the knowledge level before entering the university and the motivation for learning the subject. The external are an organization of the educational process, self-organization of student learning activity, teaching methods and forms and professionalism of the educator, quality of additional services (holding consultations and individual lessons), educator-student relationship. It was identified that during studying the "Chemistry" discipline, the influence of the factors that students had before entering the university is weakened, and the external factors, which appeared in the process of studying in university, have a significant impact.

The background of this study is the lack of students activity in the conventional learning on desktopbased
visual programming subjects. As a result, many students do not understand the material provided by the
teacher. The purpose of this study is to determine the enhancement in the learning activity of student by
utilizing props inventory application program for students of SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta.
The research was conducted by using class action research with 2 cycles. The subject of study taken is
the class XI RPL A in SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta. The research object is the quality of the learning process, ie the
activity of learning. The experiment was conducted on 2nd semester academic year 2013/2014. The data
collection techniques used were observation and interviews. The Data analysis technique using the qualitative
analysis refers to the analysis model Miles and Huberman.
Based on the result of the research , we can conclude that an increase in the learning activity of precycle
student learning is 34,43%, in cycle 1 is 71,65%, and increased to 77,04% in cycle 2. It is proved that the
props inventory application program helps students to increase the learning activity on a desktop-based visual
programming subject .

The learning process at this time tends to decrease. This is caused by learning that is less interesting. The Media and methods as a way to overcome monotonous learning need to be developed to improve the quality of the student learning outcomes. This study aims to improve the activeness and learning outcomes through the implementation of the Creative Proplem Solving (CPS) learning model. "This study uses classroom action research (PTK) consisting of 4 stages, the stages namely of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. With the research subjects XDPIB2 class students consisting of 34 students, 24 male students and 10 female students. The instrument used was an observation sheet of student learning activities, and a test of student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate an increase in the average of student learning activities that continue to increase from cycle I to cycle III, it can be seen from the average learning activity of students who continue to increase starting from cycle I in the category of sufficient activity, amounting to 2.44. Cycle II was 3.38 with good category activity and Cycle III increased by 4.31 with very good category activity. Learning by using this CPS can improve student learning outcomes. based on observations on cycles I, II and III. From the three cycles, there was an increase in the average test of student learning outcomes in a row starting from cycle I, II and III was 60.65, 72.85 and 85.24 and only 1 student had a score below 75 of 34 students so that the application of the model CPS learning can improve the activities and learning outcomes of students of SMK Negeri 1 Sidoarjo

The study buddy is a learning strategy employed in a graduate distance course to promote informal peer reviewing of assignments before submission. This strategy promotes student-student interaction and helps break the social isolation of distance learning. Given the concern by Arum and Roksa (2011) that student-student interaction may be distracting from instead of contributing to academic achievement it was felt important to examine the way peer interaction can contribute to learning in a well-structured collaborative learning activity. This mixed-methods study (n=31) examined both quantitative and qualitative aspects of student perceptions of the study buddy activity. While quantitative findings regarding depth of processing were inconclusive due to the small and homogeneous sample, qualitative analysis showed very high levels of learner support for the activity as well as evidence that the activity encouraged learners to approach their learning with greater depth. 88% of study buddies said they found the activity well worth their time, and would recommend it for other graduate courses. It is thought with greater scaffolding, the quality of buddy feedback might be improved. The few who did not appreciate the activity felt let down by a lack of buddy commitment to the process.

Textbook is one of the form of teaching material and a significant guide for teachers and students. One of the factors determining student success in learning activity is the quality of the textbook. Learning vocabulary plays a vital role in all language skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Thus the author decided to analyze the vocabulary materials in Bahasa Inggris Kelas XI textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. This analysis needs to be done to prove whether or not this textbook has sufficient quality to develop students' vocabulary. This research will be conducted using a qualitative research approach. The data collection method uses descriptive method because the author focuses on the vocabulary material in each chapter of the textbook. The data is analyzed using the instrument of textbook assessment by Houtz elements (1955). The results of the analysis that has been carried out shows that the textbook is suitable to be used as teaching material for the learning process in schools.
