The analyst’s embodied attunement and participation arises within an embodied analytic relationship. Understanding this “deep structure” of the interaction and attention to this level of interaction opens up new modes of engagement and therapeutic action. The importance of embodied attunement is supported by recent research and theories that the developing mind is shared and dialogical through bodily communication, by rhythms of cadence, tone, intensity, and movement. The analyst’s embodied awareness of two bodies together and their interpersonal rhythm is the “tool” used to gauge the pulse, vitality of connection, and particular rhythmic qualities of a uniquely shared world. This provides a read on the most elemental way the dyad shares emotional experience (or fails to). The analyst’s embodied participation is interpretation in another mode. Clinical examples illustrate how embodied attunement and intentional participation work in the session, and their therapeutic effect. Failures of attunement are also discussed in terms of how the analyst recognizes these failures and his internal process of reattunement.

Helenine exerts a therapeutic effect against Semliki Forest virus infections of mice. Cures, that is to say the survival of treated animals, were more frequently observed in Semliki Forest virus infections than they were in SK virus infections. It is believed that this difference in end-result probably represented only a quantitative difference in the therapeutic effect of helenine against these two viruses and not a qualitative difference in its mechanism of therapeutic action. The findings reported in this paper with regard to the treatment of Semliki Forest virus infections with helenine parallel very closely those described in an accompanying paper which deals with the action of helenine on SK. virus infections.

AIM: The study was aimed at researching the specific wound healing activity of the drug with a comprehensive therapeutic effect based on derivatives of glucosamine and acrylic polymers to treat the infected wounds of various origins on a model of a planar infected wound. METHODS: The model of septic wounds in rats as per the method of P.I. Tolstykh was used during the study of the specific activity of the drug with a comprehensive therapeutic effect based on derivatives of glucosamine and acrylic polymers for the treatment of infected wounds. The infection was performed with the S. aureus and E. coli strains. The study lasted 18 days, and during this period no full scarring occurred. The wound diameter was chosen as the effectiveness criterion. The planimetric method was used to assess the course of the wound process in experimental animals. RESULTS: The obtained data prove the specific action of the drug with a comprehensive therapeutic action based on derivatives of glucosamine and acrylic polymers to treat the infected wounds of various origins. The study has shown that bacterially infected wounds healed worse than noninfected ones. Both types of wounds — infected and uninfected ones — healed faster when applying the test drug or Levomekol ointment. CONCLUSION: On the model of a planar infected wound, the developed drug with a comprehensive therapeutic action has shown better wound healing effect compared with the Levomekol reference drug.

The paper presents the results of the application of the plasmolifting technique in the treatment of various types of musculoskeletal pathology and analyzes the possible mechanisms of the positive therapeutic effect of this technique. It is suggested that its success is in direct proportion to the composition of the tissues that make up a particular articular formation. It is supposed that the conditions for the positive therapeutic effect of the platelet auto-suspension technique include, first of all, the presence of a branched network of capillaries, which provides sufficient blood supply and, as a result, access to the sanitized tissue of granulocytic cells. The second condition is the presence of connective tissue formations containing basophils and mast cells, which, together with the endothelium of the above capillaries, secrete a sufficient amount of cytokines that trigger the therapeutic effect of this manipulation. A number of recommendations were made to increase the sanitizing effect of the plasmolifting technique on a specific joint formation.

This paper shows the features of the choice of theoretical orientation consultant, depending on the view of  human  nature.  It  reveals the  existential  approach  to  consulting,  studying  mainly the human  possibilities  and  potency, which are not really covered in the positivism and classical theories. The paper shows the features of the  existential approach relevant for counselling, substantiates its advantages over other therapeutic areas, shows the  range of existential consultation for psychologists and representatives of other scientific schools. It was found that  existential  ideas  with  varying  degrees  of completeness  and  consistency  were  close  to  many psychotherapists,  including those who are not considered to be a fan of this area of psychology. It was underlined that the original  existentialism  followers’  standpoint  is  the  belief  about  the  importance  of  assistance  for  an  individual  in  the  development and reinforcement of his/her ability to meet the requirements of life. The main tasks of the consultant  were defined, which existential oriented psychologists should consider in interaction with customers, and it was  found, that the priority is not in the study of the person itself, but the study of the emotional experience of the human  existence as such (its enlightenment and understanding). The techniques, which are used by existentialists were  described and their positive therapeutic effect in case of a balanced combination of methods of auscultation and  influence was reasoned

Abstract. Intraindividual variability, along with the more frequently studied between-person variability, has been argued to be one of the basic building blocks of emotional experience. The aim of the current study is to examine whether intraindividual variability in affect predicts tiredness in daily life. Intraindividual variability in affect was studied with the experience sampling method in a group of 110 participants (aged between 19 and 84 years) during 14 consecutive days on seven randomly determined occasions per day. The results suggest that affect variability is a stable construct over time and situations. Our findings also demonstrate that intraindividual variability in affect has a unique role in predicting increased levels of tiredness at the momentary level as well at the level of individuals.
