English Qualitative research investigated expatriate families living in China with adopted Chinese children and the manner in which living in China influenced the adoptees' acquisition of their culture of origin. The values and cultural practices of these expatriate parents are also examined. French Il s'agit d'une recherche qualitative qui explore la situation des familles expatriées vivant en Chine et ayant adopté des enfants Chinois. Plus particulièrement, cette recherche examine la façon dont le fait de vivre en Chine a influencé les enfants adoptés à intégrer leur culture d'origine. Les valeurs et les pratiques culturelles des parents expatriés sont également examinées. Spanish Mediante investigación cualitativa se estudió a las familias expatriadas que viven en China con sus niños adoptivos chinos, y la forma en que vivir en China ha influenciado en éstos la adquisición de su cultura de origen. También son examinados los valores y prácticas culturales de estos padres expatriados.

RESUMOEste texto busca evidenciar algumas reflexões sobre os povos indígenas na História do Brasil e em Alagoas. Neste sentido a pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar os processos de silenciamento ocorridos ao longo da História do Brasil e especificamente em Alagoas. Teve como abordagem metodológica a pesquisa qualitativa e ancorou-se nos pressupostos da fenomenologiahermenêutica porque objetivou evidenciar os significados atribuídos pelos sujeitos ao fenômeno pesquisado. Tratou-se de um estudo de caso em que se adotou uma postura etnográfica de pesquisa, na intenção de valorizar a escuta, as observações e o respeito às práticas culturais. Povos indígenas. História. The methodological approach was based on qualitative research and was based on the assumptions of phenomenology-hermeneutics because it aimed to highlight the meanings attributed by the subjects to the researched phenomenon. È stato un caso di studio in cui è stata adottata una posizione di ricerca etnografica, con l'intenzione di valutare l'ascolto, le osservazioni e il rispetto delle pratiche culturali. AbstractThis article proposes a framework for empirical research on contested meaning of norms in international politics. The goal is to identify a design for empirical research to examine associative connotations of norms that come to the fore when norms are contested in situations of governance beyond-the-state and especially in crises. If cultural practices shape experience and expectations, they need to be identified and made ‘account-able’ based on empirical research. To that end, the proposed qualitative approach centres on individually enacted meaning-in-use. The framework comprises norm-types, conditions of contestation, types of divergence and opposition-deriving as a specific interview evaluation technique. Section one situates the problem of contestation in the field of constructivist research on norms. Section two introduces distinctive conditions of contestation and types of norms. Section three details the methodology of conducting and evaluating interviews and presents the technique of opposition-deriving with a view to reconstructing the structure of meaning-in-use. Section four concludes with an outlook to follow-up research.

Esta investigación surge de una reflexión relacionada con la importancia de conocer y explorar las concepciones del profesor universitario sobre la investigación, en un intento por abrir una brecha nueva que permita entender y comprender las prácticas investigativas del maestro de licenciaturas en educación. Se eligieron dos universidades, una privada y otra pública en la ciudad de Cartagena de Indias, para realizar esta investigación cualitativa,de naturaleza descriptiva - exploratorio, utilizando un cuestionario estructurado, para facilitar el proceso de develación de las concepciones del profesor universitario. Este trabajo de investigación es parte del macro proyecto sobre concepciones desarrollado en la Maestría en Educación de la Universidad Santo Tomás de Aquino.ABSTRACT:This research stems of reflection regarding the importance of knowing and explore the concepts of teacher for university research in a attempt to open a new gap that allows to  understand and understand the practices master investigative degrees. Two were selected universities, one private and one public in the city of Cartagena de Indias to perform this qualitative research, descriptive and exploratory, to we designed a questionnaire structured to facilitate the process identification of the concepts of university professor. ResumenEsta investigación analiza la percepción y las creencias asociadas al conflicto armado colombiano en niños niñas y jóvenes víctimas y no victimas residentes en el departamento de Boyacá. Destacando la importancia de las percepciones y creencias que tiene la generación actual ya que serán estos los encargados de que se dé una paz estable y duradera. ResumoO objetivo deste estudo é analisar a atividade de preparo e desenvolvimento de aulas baseadas em um tema gerador e que acontecem em espaços de privação de liberdade nos municípios de Cuiabá e Várzea Grande, estado de Mato Grosso. A questão que suleou o estudo é: Como se desenvolvem os “aulões” como prática social libertadora em espaços restritivos de liberdade? Trata-se de pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, de observação participante, que ocorreu em reuniões do Pró-Escolas Formação na Escola - MT. Os dados coletados foram registrados em Diários de Campo e analisados à luz da Análise de Conteúdo de Laurence Bardin. Os resultados evidenciaram que os “aulões” se apresentam como possibilidade de educação libertadora mesmo em um espaço com normas rígidas e opressoras como a prisão.Palavras-chave: Processos Educativos. Following Edward Said’s theorization of filiation and affiliation, this paper maps transformative itineraries of second-generation Pakistani immigrants in Britain who negotiate their personal identities on the basis of choice and affiliation instead of filiation. I argue that, as a result of the changing relationships of migrant parents with their British-born children, either because of a clash between nostalgia for the culture of origin and the host culture, between racial discrimination or the changing social structures of multicultural Britain, familial bonds within Pakistani families in Britain are severely affected. In other words, public or “external debates” in the diaspora, that Ralph Grillo describes as migrants’ imagined cultural practices, interact with internal debates that occur within migrant families. Against this backdrop, I explore the tensions, informed by a filiation-affiliation dialectic, that exist between first and second generations and the way these affect the personal struggles of an embittered anglicized Asian second generation and dramatize the metaphorical birth of a subject outside the confines of the familial order.

In understanding pleasure reading in everyday life we often focus on the text as a primary tool of reading and other tools, such as books, which are instrumental objects, are overlooked. This report of qualitative research focuses on the book as a tool within reading experiences and how it furthers understandings of the self for the reader.En tentant de comprendre la lecture de loisir dans la vie quotidienne, nous considérons souvent le texte comme l’outil principal de lecture, alors que d’autres dispositifs, tels que les livres, qui sont des objets instrumentaux, sont souvent négligés. Ce rapport de recherche qualitative est axé sur le livre comme outil à l’intérieur des expériences de lecture et sur la manière avec laquelle celui-ci favorise la compréhension de la personnalité du lecteur.

Los municipios de Abarán, Blanca y Cieza conforman  un importante enclave productivo agrícola inserto en las grandes cadenas agroalimentarias globales (De Castro et al. 2014; Moraes et al. 2012; Pedreño 2014). Este territorio ha tenido históricamente un débil desarrollo industrial, lo que ha reducido las oportunidades laborales formales, por lo que las clases trabajadoras se han ido conformando como figuras laborales hiperflexibles (Capecchi y Pesce, 1984), capaces de movilizarse para ocupar cualquier nicho laboral disponible, principalmente agricultura, construcción y turismo (Gadea et al. 2014).  Se trata de un territorio donde la eventualidad es un rasgo básico de las relaciones laborales, existe una bolsa de trabajo informal incuantificable y unas normatividad moral presente en la vida cotidiana y en el trabajo. Estas características hacen insuficiente una aproximación  cuantitativa. La opción fue plantear una metodología cualitativa conceptual-inductiva que complementamos con metodología configuracionista (De la Garza, 2018). Esto nos permitió ser más flexibles para incorporar subjetividades y otros aspectos morales de la organización del trabajo y la vida.  La técnica principal fue la realización de 42 entrevistas en profundidad guionizadas y organizadas según cinco perfiles que combiné diversas inmersiones etnográficas (una de ellas de un mes de estancia) y observación permanente de la vida cotidiana en el territorio de investigación.  En este artículo propongo, a partir de la experiencia empírica de la investigación realizada, discutir la importancia crucial de la cuestión de la construcción de vínculos  de confianza social en el territorio para desarrollar exitosamente una investigación sociológica cualitativa en un espacio local concreto.The localities of Abarán, Blanca and Cieza form an important enclave of agricultural within the global agrifood chains  fresh fruits (De Castro et al. 2014; Moraes et al 2012; Pedreño 2014). Historically, this territory has had a weak industrial development, which has reduced the formal labour opportunities, so the working classes have been becoming hyper-flexible labour figures (Capecchi and Pesce, 1984), capable of mobilizing to occupy any available labour niche, mainly agriculture, construction and tourism (Gadea et al. 2014).  In short, we are planning to carry out a sociological investigation prioritizing the territorial entrance, in a space where the main characteristic is that the official statistics are insufficient to quantitative approach because the labour relations are characterized by eventuality as and exist informal work.With this territory and his social organization, the option was to propose a qualitative conceptual-inductive methodology that we complemented with a “configurationist” methodology (De la Garza 2018) that allowed us to be more flexible to incorporate subjectivities and others aspects like morality  aspects of the organization work process and life.   The main technique was the in-depth, I did 42 scripted interview, organized according to five profiles, which combined various ethnographic immersions (one of which was a one-month stay) and permanent observation of daily life.In this article I propose, based on the empirical experience of the research carried out, to discuss the crucial importance of the question of social building of trust in a qualitative research in a local territory.
