This article provides a simple tip for easy and steady positioning of metal components during the soldering procedure using pottery clay.

It is very difficult to confirm the position of the center of gravity irregular object.This paper introduces a new system,which can be used in measuring and adjusting of the center of gravity.The irregular object was put on the support parts,then the center of gravity was given.When the actual position was compared with the ideal position,the difference was given. Until actual position and ideal position were coincided,the machining was continuing. Matlab was programmed in this measure system. It will be applied widely in the future.

Dieser Beitrag stellt eine berührungslose Messmethode zur Feststellung von Lagefehlern bei Einlippenbohrern vor, die auf der Verwendung eines Laser-Profilsensors basiert. Durch die Messung von Verlagerungen an mehreren Positionen entlang des langsam rotierenden Werkzeugschafts kann die Lage des Werkzeugs in Polarkoordinaten abgebildet werden. Das System bietet die Möglichkeit sowohl herstellungsbedingte Fehler als auch durch Bearbeitungskräfte und -momente verursachte Formänderungen des Werkzeugs nach verschiedenen Schnittwegen feststellen zu können.   This article introduces a non-contact measuring method, based on the use of a laser profile sensor to determine position errors in single-lip drills. By measuring displacements at several positions along the tool shaft with the machine spindle rotating slowly, the actual position of the tool can be mapped in polar coordinates. The system thus offers the potential to identify manufacturing-related errors as well as changes in the shape of the tool caused by machining forces and torques after different cutting paths.

This study was conducted to determine the actual position of political syar'iyyah from the perspective of Islam and its practices in the context of the state of Kelantan, especially in the field of art and entertainment. The study also followed up with the state government and police of the arts, as well as reforms carried out from 1990 to 2015. The focus of this research focuses on the application of the basic arts and entertainment through the enforcement of the Control of Entertainment and Places of Entertainment 1998, Cultural Performance Guidelines (entertainment) Act 1998 and Control of Entertainment Enactment 2003, which became the main purpose of the exercise of political syar'iyyah. Analysis carried out on the action and reform the state government to the arts by syar'iyyah political perspective. The study employs a library and analysis of official documents such as circulars, news, enactment and guidelines issued by the state government. The study found that ijtihad and reforms undertaken during the period managed to bring about change and give the benefit to the community in Kelantan. It is hoped that this study can contribute to the enrichment of the cultural heritage of the Malay Muslims in accordance with the tenets and formation syar'iyyah political capital of the arts and entertainment that coincide with Islamic law. We hope this study will help art researchers in the future. Keywords: Siasah syar'iyyah, Arts, Policy, Kelantan, Entertainment     Artikel ini bertujuan membincangkan konsep siasah syar‘iyyah, sejarah perkembangan kesenian, polisi kerajaan Kelantan terhadap siasah syar‘iyyah dan pelaksanaannya di negeri Kelantan. Secara khusus, fokus kajian ini dilakukan bermula semasa pemerintahan TGNA pada tahun 1990 sehingga sekarang. Kajian berbentuk analisis dokumen ini bersandar kepada pemerhatian terhadap dokumen rasmi kerajaan seperti surat pekeliling, warta, enakmen dan garis panduan yang dikeluarkan oleh kerajaan Kelantan. Selain itu, data-data kajian juga turut disokong oleh pelbagai literatur lain seperti buku-buku ilmiah serta    wacana-wacana ilmiah yang berkaitan.  Hasil kajian mendapati tindakan dan pembaharuan yang dilakukan oleh kerajaan Kelantan dalam bidang siasah syar’iyyah adalah berdasarkan al-Quran dan al-Sunnah serta ijtihad. Terdapat beberapa pembaharuan yang dianggap sebagai pra syarat untuk mengadakan sesuatu persembahan kesenian serta beberapa contoh perubahan dalam kesenian yang dipersembahkan di Kelantan selepas tahun 1990 hingga sekarang telah menunjukkan perubahan yang sangat ketara. Pelaksanaan dasar kesenian dan hiburan ini berjaya memberi kemaslahatan kepada rakyat, dan dalam masa yang sama ia juga berjaya mempertahankan beberapa nilai kesenian lama yang tidak bertentangan dengan Islam. Selain itu terdapat juga beberapa persembahan kesenian yang diberi roh Islam dari sudut pelaksanaannya untuk menjadi santapan hiburan terhadap masyarakat. Kajian ini menyumbang kepada pengkaryaan khazanah seni dan hiburan Islam, menjadi model terhadap pelaksanaan hiburan dan selain itu ia dapat membantu para pengkaji seni untuk menambahkan ilmu dalam bidang kesenian Islam.   Kata kunci: kesenian, hiburan, enakmen, ijtihad dan maslahah

As a general rule the navigational function is aimed at determining the position of the aircraft in order to resolve three types of problem:(1) To subject the aircraft's flight path to an optimum trajectory calculated before departure or progressively adapted in course of flight to the circumstances encountered.(2) To choose at each point of the selected flight path the flight system best adapted to the safety and economy of the flight.(3) Taking into account the presence of other aircraft in the airspace, to know and make known the actual position and the information allowing provision to be made for future positions, so as to permit effective air traffic control.Departures of the actual from the chosen flight path penalize the flight by a lowering of economy (in flying time or fuel consumption). It does not seem, however, that the problems raised from this point of view by S.S.T. are by nature or in difficulty any different from those which affect conventional aircraft. Taking into account the present-day precision of navigational aids there is every reason to believe that departures of the actual flight path from the optimum flight path will introduce a penalization which it is possible to ignore when compared with the penalization due to the inaccuracy of the knowledge of the elements (winds, temperatures, pressures) which have, in fact, served to determine this optimum flight path.

The compensatory aims require the courts to assess not only the position the claimant would have been in if the breach of contract or tort had not been committed but also its actual position as a result of the tort or breach of contract, so that damages can make up the difference. Where the claimant’s actual position has been, or will be, improved by benefits acquired subsequent to and as a result of the tort or breach of contract, one might expect (in accordance with the compensatory aims) that such benefits would be taken into account—if they are ignored the claimant will be left in a better position than if the contract had been performed or if no tort had been committed. In a nutshell, one might expect ‘compensating advantages’ to be deducted or, as it is sometimes alternatively expressed, that losses mitigated would not be compensated. But in fact compensating advantages are often not deducted. Our concern here is to indicate when this is so.

We aim to prove Poincaré inequalities for a class of pure jump Markov processes inspired by the model introduced by Galves and Löcherbach to describe the behavior of interacting brain neurons. In particular, we consider neurons with degenerate jumps, i.e., which lose their memory when they spike, while the probability of a spike depends on the actual position and thus the past of the whole neural system. The process studied by Galves and Löcherbach is a point process counting the spike events of the system and is therefore non-Markovian. In this work, we consider a process describing the membrane potential of each neuron that contains the relevant information of the past. This allows us to work in a Markovian framework.

The settlement of the Alaska-Canada boundary is one of the more colourful episodes in Canadian-American relations. After 75 years of uncertainty, disagreement, and dispute over the actual position of the boundary line between the territory of Great Britain and of Russia, and later of the United States, a tribunal was established in 1903 to interpret the treaty between Great Britain and Russia, concluded in 1825, in which the boundaries had been defined. The tribunal in rendering its decision adopted neither the contention of the United States nor that of Britain, but drew a line that corresponded more closely with official Russian maps prepared shortly after the 1825 Treaty was concluded. However, on an issue seen at the time in Canada as critical, the tribunal found in favour of the United States, awarding it the island of Sitklan and Kannaghunut at the mouth of the Portland Channel. This gave rise to a storm of protest in Canada, anger being vented particularly at the British jurist Lord Alverstone, the president of the tribunal, who was suspected of selling out to the Americans.

Computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM)-based maxillary templates can transfer a surgical plan accurately only when the template is positioned correctly. Our study aimed to evaluate the positioning accuracy of the CAD/CAM-based template for maxillary orthognathic surgery using dry skulls. After reconstruction of a three-dimensional (3D) virtual skull model, a surface-based surgical template for Le Fort I osteotomy was designed and fabricated using CAD/CAM and 3D printing technology. To determine accuracy, the deviation of the template between the planned and the actual position and the fitness of the template were evaluated. The mean deviation was 0.41 ± 0.30 mm in the medio-lateral direction, 0.55 ± 0.59 mm in the antero-posterior direction, and 0.69 ± 0.59 mm in the supero-inferior direction. The root mean square deviation between the planned and the actual position of the template was 1.21 ± 0.54 mm. With respect to the fitness of the template, the mean distance between the inner surface of the template and the underlying bone surface was 0.76 ± 0.24 mm. CAD/CAM-based templates showed precise positioning and good fitness. These results suggest that surface topography-based CAD-CAM templates can be considered as an alternative solution in replacing the traditional intermediate splints for the transfer of surgical plans.

We present a method of teaching the basics of celestial navigation, using the Javascript programming interface to Google Maps. This offers the teacher of celestial navigation many highly visual and flexible investigative and presentation options, all using the familiar Google Map system. In this paper, we discuss the programming route to Google Maps, and demonstrate an exercise of correcting the assumed position of a hypothetical lost ship, using sights of the Sun, suitable for classroom use. We also present an analysis of the relationship between the proximity of the assumed to the actual position of the ship, and the outcome of a sight-reduction procedure.
