AbstractAt present, there are many acceleration sensors for measuring human martial arts in the market. However, due to the inaccurate measurement of some acceleration sensors, people who love martial arts are deeply troubled and unable to find an excellent acceleration sensor specifically for energy consumption detection of human martial arts. The development of this sensor is imminent, which is of great significance for the comparative study of energy consumption measurement of human martial arts in our country. In this study, 160 students aged 11–14 years were selected, and the subjects were divided into normal body mass group and abnormal body mass group. Of the 96 male adolescents, 32 were obese body mass, which was determined as male abnormal body mass Group; 64 male adolescents were normal body weight and male normal body weight group; female 64 adolescents were normal body weight and set as female normal body mass group. Using a built-in accelerometer and a mobile phone three-dimensional accelerometer, the subjects were subjected to a 3–8 km/h human martial arts exercise load test (each speed is continuously performed for 5 min). The two acceleration sensors collectively assess the accuracy of the prediction of the use of force in human martial arts experiments. The average power consumption of human art exercises uses a frequency of 60 times/min, 90 times/min and 120 times/min compared to two acceleration sensors. Test results show that the data points for the mobile accelerator eraser are scattered, and the distance between the data varies. The data points of the three-dimensional acceleration sensor are more concentrated and present a certain trend. The use of three-dimensional acceleration sensors to measure martial arts can fully reflect the energy consumption of human activities, and achieve an energy consumption measurement accuracy of more than 94%.

Abstract Introduction. It’s known that the issue of polytrauma is one of the most urgent problems of surgery, and among injured patients a special approach is required for patients with overweight and obesity of varying degrees. Purpose of the study. To study prognostic features of traumatic disease course and to improve the results of diagnostics and surgical treatment of patients with polytrauma suffer obesity. Materials and methods. Clinical material was made up of 106 patients with combined body trauma, which were divided into three groups according to body mass index. Results. The results of the research showed a significant difference in the course of traumatic disease in patients with normal body weight and obesity. In particular, in the process of diagnostics of blunt chest and abdominal trauma the frequency of application of interventional methods of diagnostics was directly proportional to the increase of body mass index. The course of traumatic disease in the obese patients had a number of characteristic features that formed the basis for the development of diagnostics and differential program of treatment. Conclusions. The results of the research showed that the course of traumatic disease in combined injury obese patients is directly proportional to the body mass index and has certain features that differentiate them from patients with normal body weight. Backgraund/Aim. Increased body weight in childhood may have negative effects on many tissues and organs in the body. The aim of this study was to determine whether the state of oral health in children with increased body mass is different from the children with normal body weight. Methods. The study included 190 children, aged 6 to 15 years. Assessment of nutritional status of subjects was performed by the use of Body Mass, and the respondents were divided into a group of increased body weight children (IWC) and a group of normal body weight children (NWC). Hard dental tissue state of health was assessed by the decayed, missing and filled teeth (DMFT) index. The gingival health was assessed using gingival index (GI). Community Periodontal Index (CPI) was used for the assessment of periodontal tissue. The oral hygiene was assessed using the Simplified Debris (Plaque) Index Greene-Vermilion. Results. Average DMFT value in the IWC group was 5.01 ? 2.4, and in the NWC 4.43 ? 2.0; (p > 0.05). GI values in the IWC group was 0.64 ? 0.37, while in the NWC group it was 0.55 ? 0.35 (the difference was not statistically significant). Average CPI index values were 1.33 ? 0.49 in the IWC group and 0.77 ? 0.61 in the NWC group and statistically significant differences were observed concerning periodontal tissue state of health. The GV index values in the IWC group were 1.01 ? 0.49, and in the NWC group 0.89 ? 0.45; it was not statistically significant. Conclusion. Results of this research do not indicate that children with increased body weight have more affected teeth. However, they have a worse condition of periodontal tissue in comparison to normal weight children.

<p>Due to contemporary lifestyle, nutritional status of students is poorer and therefore it negatively affects the aerobic capacity. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in aerobic capacity among female students of Faculty of Teacher Education with regard to their level of nutritional status. The study included 281 female students of the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb. The sample of variables consisted of anthropometric measures: body height, body weight, sub-scapular and triceps skinfolds. Aerobic capacity was measured by 20 meter shuttle run test and nutritional status was determined by the body mass index (BMI). The subjects were divided into four groups according to their nutritional status: underweight, normal body weight, overweight and obese. Mean values of the BMI place the students into normal weight group, however, mean values of aerobic capacity show that students achieved poor results. Kruskal Wallis test and its post-hoc test (multiple comparisons for all groups with Bonferroni adjustment) for determining the difference between subsamples according to the level of nutritional status among students show that the subsamples differ in four of the five variables that describe the morphological characteristics (body weight, BMI, sub-scapular skinfold, triceps skinfold) as well as in aerobic capacity. The results obtained in this study show that the increased body mass have extremely high impact on the aerobic capacity results. It can be concluded that the tested students' aerobic capacity is poor and students with normal body weight have better aerobic capacity than overweight or obese students.</p>

The mechanisms of the emergence of "hot flashes" are actively considered, but still insufficiently studied. A woman's body weight is a modifiable risk factor, that is, amenable to both non-drug and drug correction. Therefore, the relevance of studying this risk factor for hot flashes is high. The purpose of this study is to study the relationship between vasomotor symptoms and body mass index in women. The study included 228 women with vasomotor complaints in the early postmenopausal period. The average age at the onset of menopause was 51.6 years (47.2; 53.4), while the median duration of menopause was 4.1 years (2.2; 5.0). Our results indicate the possibility of hot flashes in women with different body mass index. In obese women, severe menopausal syndrome (MS) is less common (5.7%) than in women with overweight (8.3%) or normal body weight (6.1%); while the average degree of MS is most often observed in patients with normal body weight (21.5%), less often with obesity (14.9%) and overweight (10.1%); mild MS is most often observed in patients with normal body weight (18%), less often with obesity (10.1%) and overweight (5.3%). It was found that in women with obesity, the severity of the initial signs of MS is not high (on average, up to 5-6 hot flashes per day), severe MS is less common than in women with overweight or normal body weight. Thus, hot flashes occur in women regardless of the woman's body weight and "obesity" is not able, as previously thought, to "protect" a woman from the appearance of hot flashes.

Aim. To assess the levels of markers of the bone synthesis and system inflammation in patients with osteoarthritis (OA) in combination with obesity and their dynamic under the influence of basic treatment. Materials and methods. The research included 40 women with OA, 46–78 years old (mean age – 59,8±1,5 years). Duration of the disease varied from 3 to 36 years (mean duration – 10,0±1,1 years). Mean body mass index (BMI) among patients was 30,6±0,7 [22,3; 39,5]kg/m2, according to which patients were divided in 3 groups: patients with OA without obesity (n=17), patients with OA with 1 degree of obesity (n=14), patients with OA with 2 degree of obesity (n=9). The level of osteochondral metabolism was assessed using quantitative measuring of the levels of procollagen IC-terminal propeptide (РІСР), (Cloud-CloneCorp. “procollagen IC-Terminal Propeptide”, USA) and osteocalcin (Roche Diagnostics «N-MID Osteocalcin», Switzerland) on analyzer «ELECSYS 2010» by the method of immune-enzyme analysis; the level of the system inflammation was assessed by the level of C-reactive protein (CRP) by the method of immunoturbidimetry. The clinical efficacy was assessed by the dynamics of intensity levels of pain syndromes at physical load and at rest by the visual-analogue scale (VAS). The measuring of РІСР, osteocalcin and CRP levels and also the assessment of clinical efficacy as to the decrease of pain syndrome were carried out twice – at the beginning and at the end of observation. The period of observation is 2 months. Results. The presence of direct correlation between РІСР and BMI (r=0,62; р=0,008) among patients with OA in combination with the normal body weight was established at the research, whereas among patients with OA in combination with obesity the analogous correlation was demonstrated between SRP and BMI (r=0,43; р=0,04) on the background of correlation of PICP and OC levels (r=0,46; р=0,03). Obesity in patients with OA was associated with the reliably higher levels of pain at both rest and physical load from the side of knee joints, with maximal intensity of the pain syndrome among patients with OA and 1 degree of obesity. Statistical analysis did not reveal the reliable dependence of РІСР and OC in patients with OA from the initial CRP level on the background of tendency to the higher РІСР level and lower OC level among patients with initially increased CRP level comparing with ones with normal CRP level. The therapy with basic preparations at OA during 2 months among patients with OA with increased CRP level led to the reliable decrease of РІСР level (р=0,0076) and the tendency to increase of OC level (р˃0,05), without the reliably significant difference between the initial and final РІСР and OC levels among patients with OA and normal CRP level. At the end of observation period the maximal analgesic effect was demonstrated as to the articulate pain at rest from the side of knee joints (р˂0,001) among patients with OA, who received diacerein, with clinically comparable effect from the side of other aticulate zones (р˂0,05), that was associated with reliable decrease of CRP level (р=0,013). Discussion. The received results testify that the control of the system inflammation level at OA is a target not only relative to the decrease of pain syndrome but also conditions the stable state of subchondral bone (SCB), providing the compensation of processes of destruction and synthesis in bone tissue. The significance of procollagen IC-terminal propeptide (РІСР) and osteocalcin (OC) as the markers of bone synthesis that are able to reflect metabolic processes in SCB at OA, and also the discordant influence of CRP level on PICP level at the relative stability of OC level were demonstrated at the research. The received results allow consider the inflammatory process at OA as a target for preservance of the bone tissue, conditioning the expedience of taking into account the ability of OA basic preparations to realize the control influence on the level of system inflammation. Diacerein that in ESCEO recommendations (2014) is related to the preparations of the 1 step of treatment of patients with OA provides the control on inflammation and stability of osteocalcin level that testifies to the balance of catabolic processes in SCB. Conclusions. At OA the levels of procollagen IC-terminal propeptide (РІСР) and osteocalcin (OC) were not associated with obesity and did not depend on the initial CRP level at the presence of correlation between РІСР level and BMI among patients with OA with the normal body weight and BMI and CRP level among patients with OA in combination with obesity. The absence of reliable dynamics from РІСР side and maintenance of the stable OC level on the background of the reliable anti-inflammatory effect at using diacerein in patients with OA can testify to the compensatory adequacy of reparation processes in SCB.

Background:Currently, a large number of molecular biological and genetic markers are known to be involved in the development of osteoarthritis (OA). The mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway is responsible for chondrocyte proliferation, cartilage matrix production, and cell growth. OA is characterized by increased mTOR synthesis, which is accompanied by an increase in proliferative activity and destruction of chondrocytes. Obesity is an important factor in the progression of knee OA. The study of mTOR expression in patients with OA and obesity is an urgent task in the development of personalized OA therapy.Objectives:To determine the expression of mTOR in patients with knee OA in combination with obesity and normal body weight. To evaluate the effect of mTOR on the clinical manifestations of OA in patients with different body mass index (BMI).Methods:The study included 73 female patients aged 45-65 y.o. with Kellgren-Lawrence stage II-III knee OA. The patients were divided into 2 groups: group 1 (n=50) with obesity (BMI > 30 kg / cm2) and group 2 (n=23) with normal or increased body weight (BMI < 30 kg/cm2). The average age of patients with obesity is 56.5 ± 5.87 years, without obesity - 58.7 ± 5.43 years. Clinical manifestations were evaluated by a WOMAС. RNA was isolated from the patients ‘ blood samples, which was used to determine the expression of mTOR.Results:Patients with knee OA with and without obesity did not differ in age. OA develops at an earlier age in obese patients, than in non-obese patients (p < 0.001). Patients from 1 group had a high BMI > 30 kg/m2 at the onset of OA. Obese patients had more severe knee OA is significantly more often detected: Kellgren-Lawrence stage III was determined in 10% of obese patients and in 4.35% - without obesity (p < 0.001). Significantly higher values of the WOMAC index pain, stiffness, joint functional failure, and total WOMAC were observed in obese patients (p = 0.006, p = 0.039, p = 0.037, and p = 0.014, respectively). Obese patients had higher VAS pain scores (p < 0.05) compared to patients with a lower BMI. Obese patients had a higher mTOR expression (p < 0.05) of 8.02±8.62, compared to non-obese patients. High mTOR expression correlates with the severity of knee pain in obese patients.
