Motivation: The need for balance in the social, environmental and economic developments has been explored by numerous academic disciplines and fostered the implementation of subsequent political agendas both at the global and local levels. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted by the United Nations in 2015 is an example of an international initiative for sustainable development. All the goals of the Agenda were determined in view of global civilizational challenges, but in order for them to be implemented various stakeholders have to be involved, and projects on a national, regional, and local scale have to be carried out. Given the postulate of creating multilateral public and public-private partnerships for sustainable development and the principle of subsidiarity, it seems important to take into account the role of self-governing agricultural bodies in the system, implementing sustainable development goals. Agricultural self-governance is exercised in Poland through agricultural chambers established as public-law associations, forming part of the institutional system of public administration. The scope of tasks performed by these agricultural chambers covers matters of agriculture and rural development, including sustainable development. Aim: In her study the author seeks to answer the questions of whether the self-governing agricultural bodies in Poland are the key entities in the implementation of the postulates of sustainable development, or whether the competences of these agricultural chambers allow them to fully use the social potential of farmers for the dissemination of the concept of sustainable development. Results: The results of the survey demonstrate that the self-governing agricultural bodies play only a superficial role in the implementation of the sustainable development postulates. Although these agricultural chambers are formally established in the public law system, they do not have sufficient executive power, or material, human and financial resources to engage in effective action. The potential of the self-governing agricultural bodies to achieve the goals of sustainable development is not being fully used.

It had as general objective the legal reflection of sustainable development principle in light of innovation and the specific objective was the analysis of the sustainability of the innovations to be achieved by future generations. The research method used was a bibliographical review, with a qualitative and exploratory approach, the method of analysis was deductive that starts from the premise that principle recognized as true, makes it possible to reach conclusions in a formal way. The Law of National Environmental Policy characterized through its initial articles the way how the environment should be understood, including the general and specific objectives that the legislator sought to defend. Still, it is easy to identify the way the norm has instrumented the public environmental administration, where through three mechanics it would be possible to apply the regulation, namely: environmental intervention, environmental control and repressive control with the imposition of sanctioning measures. After the promulgation of the Federal Constitution, law 6.938/81 obtained reinforcement by means of articles 170 e 225, because of the public interest aiming at sustainable and innovative development based on the social, environmental and economic tripod, because it is through this balance and the diminution of human inequality that one thrives. Education must guide students’ emotional development, not only to improve their skills and help them achieve their maximum performance, but to establish the foundations of a more cooperative and compassionate society. Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, therefore, implies focusing on emotional aspects as well as financial, social, environmental, and scientific objectives. In this line, the goal of this study is to show how emotional intelligence, which is an essential dimension in the development and management of emotional competences required to build sustainable societies, plays a key role in optimising student’s academic performance in the classroom through compassion and academic commitment. The research model was tested with a questionnaire addressed to 550 students from four higher education institutions and one secondary school. The results of a structural equation analysis confirmed the study hypotheses. Emotional intelligence was shown to be positively related to compassion and higher levels of commitment, which, consequently, led to better academic performance. This finding will encourage interest in developing emotional intelligence, not only for its long-term value in training healthy citizens, but also for its short-term results in the classroom.

Balancing the social, economic and environmental priorities for public health is at the core of the United Nations (UN) approaches to sustainable development, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The four dimensions of sustainable diets are often presented as health, society, economics, and the environment. Although sustainable diet research has focused on health and the environment, the social and economic dimensions of sustainable diets and food systems should not be forgotten. Some research priorities and sociocultural indicators for sustainable healthy diets and food systems are outlined in this report. The present goal is to improve integration of the social dimension into research on food and nutrition security.

This article summarizes the arguments and counterarguments in the scientific discussion on the main prospects for expanding the insurance market through the lens of the financial activation of the sustainable development of the region. The main aim of the study is the theoretical foundations of the insurance market in the context of financial activation of the region’s sustainable development. Systematization of literary sources and approaches to solving the problem of expanding the insurance market through the prism of financial activation of the region’s sustainable development showed that the majority of Ukrainian scientists who dealt with this issue considered certain instruments of activating influence on the social, economic and environmental spheres of the regions. The urgency of solving this scientific problem lies in the fact that the domestic insurance market is at the stage of its formation, in many cases it does not allow to use it as an effective tool for implementing state policy. Considering that sustainable development and insurance as a subsystem of a common economic space exert mutual influence on each other, the lack of a theoretical and methodological substantiation of the strategy for the development of the insurance market negatively affects the consistency and consistency of the sustainable development of society. The study of the problem of the implementation of insurance activities in Ukraine in the article is carried out in the following logical sequence: determining the sustainable development of the region and its revitalization; research of the insurance market at the present stage of development; setting priorities for the development of the insurance market in terms of ensuring the sustainable development of the region. The object of the research is the sustainable development of the region and its activation, as well as the insurance market of Ukraine. The article presents the results of an empirical analysis of the insurance market of Ukraine, showed that the insurance market has a tendency to develop. The main directions of the integration of insurance activities in the system of sustainable development of the region from the standpoint of its activation are proposed. The study empirically confirms and theoretically proves that the existing prospects for expanding the insurance market through the prism of financial activation of the sustainable development of the region. Background: recycling is an essential tool for promoting sustainable development, as mechanisms that reduce the use of virgin raw materials will limit the use of scarce resources and reduce the progressive accumulation of waste. as well as contain their side effects and pollution causing health problems, among others. At the base of the recycling system are the collectors of recyclables, agents of this activity who are the workers who pick, select and sell recyclable materials such as paper, glass, metal, garbage, and other reusable materials. Aim: this study aimed to verify the income earned and the contribution to the sustainable development process arising from collecting recyclable materials. Methods: the proposed study was carried out at the Cajazeiras Waste Pickers Association (ASCAMARC), in this city, Alto Sertão da Paraíba. The population and sample are 13 recyclable waste pickers who actively participate in ASCAMARC and voluntarily agreed to participate in the research after being informed about its objectives. The content analysis technique was used through transcripts of interviews with the target audience and documents from secondary sources, and the collected data were also analyzed in quantitative form. Results and Discussion: the results show that 12 (92.31%) waste pickers earn less than one wage, and 01 (7.69%) waste pickers earn a minimum wage through the activity of collecting recyclable material and that there is currently great concern about the damage generated to the environment by solid wastes that have a long degradation time. It was found that 13 (100%) waste pickers believe that collecting recyclable materials contributes to the environment. Conclusions: It can be concluded from the results obtained the social, economic, and environmental importance of the work of waste pickers, despite the precarious conditions in which they perform the activity, without their participation in the base of the recycling chain, perhaps the environmental situation would be more chaotic in recent times.
