The subject of review is the book “Historical Memory in Social Media” by Sofya Tikhonova and Denis Artamonov. In the book, the authors focus on the design and specification of the production of images of the past on the Internet and the gaming industry, referring to various materials, from text “fake” messages and memes to computer games. Research is not limited to the description of empirical data. The supporting structure of the research is the author's concept of digital history and digital philosophy of history. Research optics is aimed at determining the status of the digital subject of history, which seems to be an acute anthropological and socio-philosophical problem. The book discusses the issues of modification of the politics of memory, the production of “fakes”, the connotation of historical events, the trend of miniaturization of history and the crisis of great narratives. Considerable attention is paid to the everyday everyday practices of information production, woven into the context of “history making”. The review pays attention to all the main structural parts of the book and reproduces the logical sequence of the key ideas of the text. With references to the original author's text, the reviewer also gives his own interpretations of the conceptual and terminological innovations of the book, and also focuses on some controversial aspects of the research.

This book examines the law relating to the possession, threat or use of nuclear weapons. By addressing in logical sequence the law regarding sovereignty, the threat or use of force, the conduct of nuclear hostilities, neutrality, weapons law and war crimes, the book illustrates the topics that an effective national command, control and communications system for nuclear weapons must address. Guidance is given on intractable issues, such as the responsibilities of remote submarine commanders. The continuing relevance of the ICJ's Nuclear Advisory Opinion is assessed, and the prospects for the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons are discussed. The book has been written in an accessible style so that it will be equally useful to lawyers and practitioners, including relevant commanders, politicians, policy staffs and academics. The objective is to state the law accurately and to explain its implications and provide practical guidance in this most sensitive area.

Three-dimensional reconstruction technology has demonstrated broad application potential in the industrial, construction, medical, forestry, agricultural, and pastural sectors in the last few years. High-quality digital point cloud information exists to help researchers to understand objects and environments. However, current research mainly focuses on making adaptive adjustments to various scenarios and related issues in the application of this technology rather than looking for further improvements and enhancements based on technical principles. Meanwhile, a review of approaches, algorithms, and techniques for high-precision 3D reconstruction utilizing line-structured light scanning, which is analyzed from a deeper perspective of elementary details, is lacking. This paper takes the technological path as the logical sequence to provide a detailed summary of the latest development status of each key technology, which will serve potential users and new researchers in this field. The focus is placed on exploring studies reconstructing small-to-medium-sized objects, as opposed to performing large-scale reconstructions in the field.

The prevalence of draws in chess is an increasing concern: in the ICCF’s 2017 ‘MT van Oosteram’ Correspondence event, all 56 games were drawn. This article reports a ‘Mobility Chess’ proposal by ‘Aloril’ which addresses this problem. He prefers to retain his anonymity but should be regarded as the primary author of this paper. He has defined a logical sequence of increasingly subtle and decreasingly rewarded ‘winning’ goals G k . Each position in itself associates with both an immediate achievement A j of goal G j – and an ultimate, best-achievable goal G k , k ⩽ j. Therefore, Aloril has eliminated the draw in Mobility Chess and shown how Chess can reduce the incidence of draws as much as required.

The paper describes the best practices for multi-aspect work with aphoristic statements in Russian lessons. Studying aphorisms at school stems on the one hand from the need to enhance learners’ abilities to understand and decode writing of a variety of genres. On the other hand, it is determined by the immaturity of secondary school students’ skills required to create original statements of ethical, civic, or philosophical nature. Such a lack of essential skills becomes a key problem area during end-of-course assessment. The eight stages of instruction proposed in this paper are based on the axiological and system-activity approaches. They include a logical sequence of exercises teaching learners to manipulate aphoristic statements and boost different types of their verbal and cogitative activity. In the process of fathoming the paradoxical nature of aphorisms special attention is paid to those methods which develop flexible thinking and cognitive activity. This is only possible with dependence on learners’ emotional intellect (surprise, doubt, guesswork). Employing these practices not only improves the subject proficiency quality, but also facilitates the achievement of meta-subject and personal results. Cognitive competences are formed while interpreting and classifying aphorisms. Universal regulatory acts are honed in the process of judging aphorism ‘competitions’, self-testing, and mutual testing. Communicative acts are assessed during group project work. Personal learning outcomes are the strengthening of learners’ axiological attitudes and the development of their aesthetic consciousness.

BACKGROUND Due to Covid-19 lockdown initiated by the Government, the teaching was transformed to an online sphere. Reflection from students was quite essential for advancement in newer platforms. Thus, perception of various online teachinglearning methods among medical students were assessed. METHODS This is a cross-sectional study conducted among phase-1 MBBS students of Government Medical College, Thrissur. This study was done to analyse medical student’s perceptions on four methods of online classes which included live online lectures, assignments, sending PowerPoint presentations and pre-recorded videos. All statistical data was analysed using SPSS software version 16. Continuous variables was expressed as mean ± standard deviation. Difference between the groups were analysed by simple ANOVA but the subgroup analysis in each variable was done by post hoc analysis with Bonferroni test. The level of significance was kept at 5%. RESULTS When different variables were analysed by anova, it was found out that emphasizing important aspects of topics, describing the contents in a logical sequence and interaction was significantly better in live online lectures. Coverage of learning objectives and description of concepts was significantly better in narrative PowerPoint presentation. Likewise, it significantly helped them to prepare notes for examination. Live online lectures effectively used audio-visual aids and it has aroused interest in the subject. Live online lecture was found to be the best single method as compared to the other three when all ten variables were analysed conjointly. CONCLUSIONS The preferred method for online teaching for phase-1 medical students was online lectures when all variables were analysed. Important aspects of topics were emphasized, the contents were discovered in a logical sequence, the audio-visuals were used effectively, and interest was aroused in topics through live online lectures. All the learning objectives were covered and described very clearly and note preparation was easy in PowerPoint presentation. Data analytics problems, methods and software are changing rapidly. Learning how to learn new technologies might be the most important skill for students to develop in an analytics course. We present a pedagogical framework that promotes self-regulated learning and metacognition and three student-driven assignments that can be used in accounting analytics and other courses that incorporate technology. The assignment can be used by faculty who do not have training in analytics. The assignments adopt a learn-through-teaching approach that helps students: 1) define a conceptual or technical knowledge gap; 2) identify resources available for filling that gap; 3) work independently to acquire the desired knowledge; 4) break knowledge into components and arrange in a logical sequence; and 5) reinforce knowledge by presenting to others in an accessible manner. These assignments equip students with confidence and capabilities that will enable them to keep up with advances in technology.

The material examines basic concepts of enterprise investment activities assessing from the point of view of the investment climate in the industry. The main objective of this study is to determine an integral assessment of the possibilities of financing innovative projects of industrial enterprises.The relevance of such a study is explained by the urgent need to form a more accurate and reliable assessment of the priorities of modern financing of innovative projects. The study takes into account additional factors that are applicable in the specific context of the enterprise.In the course of the study, the following logical sequence is observed: several relatively simple and essential components in the structure of enterprises are distinguished, which consistently have the most significant impact on the dynamics of changes in the innovative and investment characteristics of the entire industry as a whole. The research object is various energy enterprises of Ukraine since they are one of the key factors that allow creating and developing a competitive world economy in terms of energy-saving innovations, including non-traditional renewable energy.Based on the results obtained, it becomes possible to determine the integral indicators of the investment attractiveness of specific innovative projects. This technique allows you to sensibly assess all sides of the issue and make an informed management decision on forming the company’s investment strategy.

Unrecognized depression among patients with chronic pain is a common medical problem, highlighting the need for targeted search and identification of depression-related symptoms. Purpose: The aim of the present study is to investigate the trends in the diagnostic and treatment pathway of comorbid patients with depression and chronic pain. Materials and Methods: 110 psychiatrists and 119 neurologists were interviewed through an anonymous, randomized survey in Bulgaria. Results: Referrals of the patients with chronic pain to neurologists and psychiatrists are not routine practice. The general practitioners are the main group, referring the patients with chronic pain to a consultation with a neurologist (89.10%) and a psychiatrist (68.20%). The patients themselves seek help more often from a neurologist (77.20%) than from a psychiatrist (44.50%). The most common reason for neurologists to consult their patients with a psychiatrist issuicidal ideation and intentions (50.42%) and the least common –insomnia (15.96%). According to psychiatrists, chronic pain patients seek help from them for other symptoms like somatic – vegetative ones (97.8%), anxiety (78.20%), insomnia (55.50%) and depressed mood (54.50%). More than 1/4 (29%) of them have had suicidal thoughts and intentions, which suggests a long history of depressive symptoms. Conclusions: The diagnostic and treatment processes of patients with chronic pain and depression are performed randomly rather than following a certain logical sequence. The creation of an algorithm for general practitioners and pain specialists aimed at early detection of symptoms of depression and related predictors of suicidal behavior is needed.

Hydrogen, when is blended with natural gas over time, degrades the materials used for pipe transport. Degradation is dependent on the proportion of hydrogen added to the natural gas. The assessment is made according to hydrogen permeation, risk to the integrity of structures, adaptation of surveillance and maintenance of equipment. The paper gives a survey of HE and its consequence on the design and maintenance. It is presented in a logical sequence: the design before use; the hydrogen embrittlement (HE) effects on Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP); maintenance and surveillance during use of smooth and damaged pipes; and, particularly, for crack-like defects, corrosion defects and dents.
