The article provides a critical review of the achievement of the target indicators of the Strategy for the Development of the Sphere of Innovation and other government programs. The advantages and importance of strategic innovative development of entrepreneurship for society and the state are determined. The exclusive role of planning in the management system for innovative development is emphasized. The existing contradictions between the general directions and methods of solving the problems of innovative development (financing of R&D, development of education, etc.) are emphasized. The matrix of application of technical innovations in the areas of development B2, C2, G2 is presented. The timeline projects of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Education, the National Bank of Ukraine and other state bodies regulating innovative development in the country are assessed. The importance of strengthening the control function in managing the innovative development of entrepreneurship has been proven, in particular, strengthening the responsibility of government bodies in priority areas: entrepreneurship, science, technology, innovation, space industry, education. It is proposed to create a coordinating body capable of developing and monitoring the implementation of a unified strategy for innovative development with the participation of all ministries and departments in the context of real Ukrainian economic opportunities, comparable to financial and technological ones.

The subject of research is the study of the transformation of classical marketing functions (analytical, production, sales and management and control) under the influence of market development factors and the transformation of marketing in the context of structural changes in the economy. Marketing functions are a set of certain activities carried out by retail operators as a market participant. The aim is to determine the role of the transformation of marketing functions to ensure the innovative development of enterprises. The objective is to study the gradual development of marketing and exchange processes that occurred with its functions under the influence of transformational phenomena in the economy. After all, the development of online commerce required new approaches to understanding the classic features and it became extremely important to interest the consumer and force him to place an order in a particular online store. General scientific methods are used: analytical method, which helps to highlight the stages of development of approaches to the essence of marketing in the object of historical research; induction method - to generalize the approaches and directions of marketing transformation. The following results of the study was the conclusion that the development of marketing systems not within the manufacturers themselves, but within retail operators in order to sell products to end users becomes the basis of the management and control function. It is revealed that in modern conditions the functions of control over production for the purpose of sale began to be performed by the marketing departments of retail operators, began to study the market and issue orders for production for the purpose of sale. Thus, marketing becomes an intermediary between manufacturers and retail operators. Conclusions: on the basis of the transformed marketing functions the business processes in the field of marketing which are carried out by the retail operator are allocated. It has been proven that an effective marketing investment plan must take into account all activities that can help the retail operator to influence consumer demand and realize the potential for profitable growth. The retailer should develop simple, flexible optimization tools using qualitative and quantitative indicators to evaluate.

Abstract The extracellular matrix is a network of secreted macromolecules that provides a harmonious meshwork for the growth and homeostatic development of organisms. It conveys multiple signaling cascades affecting specific surface receptors that impact cell behavior. During cancer growth, this bioactive meshwork is remodeled and enriched in newly formed blood vessels, which provide nutrients and oxygen to the growing tumor cells. Remodeling of the tumor microenvironment leads to the formation of bioactive fragments that may have a distinct function from their parent molecules, and the balance among these factors directly influence cell viability and metastatic progression. Indeed, the matrix acts as a gatekeeper by regulating the access of cancer cells to nutrients. Here, we will critically evaluate the role of selected matrix constituents in regulating tumor angiogenesis and provide up-to-date information concerning their primary mechanisms of action.

Seventy Years after its proclamation, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, despite not having a binding force for the states, still provides at international level the fundamental text from which the principles and the values for the preservation of liberty and right of people are taken. In this article, the author particularly underlines the importance of Declaration’s article 1, which states: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights”. With these words the Declaration presses states to undertake economic policies aimed at achieving economic and social progress for all individuals. Unfortunately, we also have to underline the lack of effective social policies in government programs of the E.U. Member States. The author inquires whether it is left to European judges to affirm the importance of social welfare.

The article proposes a methodology for assessing the innovative activity of a company, one of the areas of values of state corporations: «Innovation, innovative development, the ability to upgrade». To evaluate the effectiveness, the principle of decomposition of a global goal was used with its replacement for individual specific tasks according to the designated functional subsystems and objects (blocks) of assessment, which together give a generalized description of technological, technical innovations, their development and use, implementation of the latest digital information technologies, results intellectual research, the development of new business processes, management methods, organizational forms in business practice, as well as ability to sustainable renovation, improvement and prospects for innovative growth of the company and its sustainable renewal. The scoring methodology using the developed criteria boundaries of efficiency from ambitious to low efficiency and with assignment of significance scales by expert means involves the inclusion in each assessment block of six to fifteen traditional and composite author’s indicators, the complexity of which is determined by the complexity of the subject of the study and the described process. The methodology is universal in nature, can be used for large corporations and small companies according to a reduced set of indicators, it can be used in determining ratings.

This review presents the comprehensive knowledge about the bidirectional relationship between polyphenols and the gut microbiome. The first part is related to polyphenols’ impacts on various microorganisms, especially bacteria, and their influence on intestinal pathogens. The research data on the mechanisms of polyphenol action were collected together and organized. The impact of various polyphenols groups on intestinal bacteria both on the whole “microbiota” and on particular species, including probiotics, are presented. Moreover, the impact of polyphenols present in food (bound to the matrix) was compared with the purified polyphenols (such as in dietary supplements) as well as polyphenols in the form of derivatives (such as glycosides) with those in the form of aglycones. The second part of the paper discusses in detail the mechanisms (pathways) and the role of bacterial biotransformation of the most important groups of polyphenols, including the production of bioactive metabolites with a significant impact on the human organism (both positive and negative).

Abstract During the rapid process of urbanization in post-reform China, cities assumed the role of a catalyst for economic growth and quantitative construction. In this context, territorially bounded and well delimited urban cells, globally known as ‘gated communities’, xiaoqu, continued to define the very essence of Chinese cities becoming the most attractive urban form for city planners, real estate developers, and citizens alike. Considering the guidelines in China’s National New Urbanization Plan (2014–2020), focusing on the promotion of humanistic and harmonious cities, in addition to the directive of 2016 by China’s Central Urban Work Conference to open up the gates and ban the construction of new enclosed residential compounds, this paper raises the following questions: As the matrix of the Chinese urban fabric, what would be the role of the gated communities in China’s desire for a human-qualitative urbanism? And How to rethink the gated communities to meet the new urban challenges? Seeking alternative perspectives, this paper looks at the gated communities beyond the apparent limits they seem to represent, considering them not simply as the ‘cancer’ of Chinese cities, rather the container of the primary ingredients to reshape the urban fabric dominated by the gate.

Abstract We develop a method which assumes that marital preferences are characterized either by the scalar-valued measure proposed by Liu and Lu, or by the matrix-valued generalized Liu–Lu measure. The new method transforms an observed contingency table into a counterfactual table while preserving its (generalized) Liu–Lu value. After exploring some analytical properties of the new method, we illustrate its application by decomposing changes in the prevalence of homogamy in the US between 1980 and 2010. We perform this decomposition with two alternative transformation methods as well where both methods capture preferences differently from Liu and Lu. Finally, we use survey evidence to support our claim that out of the three considered methods, the new transformation method is the most suitable for identifying the role of marital preferences at shaping marriage patterns. These data are also in favor of measuring assortativity in preferences à la Liu and Lu.
