Agriculture plays vital role in the development of agricultural country. Agriculture supports directly or indirectly the economic growth of the country. The biggest thing that holds back the development in the agricultural productivity and efficiency is manual interventions. Agriculture put lots of emphasis on human care in detection and control of different factors such as environment which leads to wastage of manpower and also the desired results are not achieved due to human monitoring error. Greenhouse agriculture in large extent is in urgent need to control the environment factors which give optimum growth of plants. With internet era, proposed work is an integration of greenhouse with IoT. In proposed work Intel Galileo Gen 2 board is used to monitor and control environmental factors for greenhouse like temperature, humidity, soil moisture and light intensity. The user gets updated constantly about the condition of the greenhouse factors using IoT technology. To transmit the data over internet ESP8266Wi-Fi module is used. The experimental results are displayed on ThingSpeak cloud platform. This system avoids the use of dedicated server PC, with the help of internet connectivity user can access the data from anywhere at any time.

Agriculture plays vital role in the economic of developing country. This paper Proposes, monitoring and access control system for greenhouse by using IOT. Our Proposed system will check for certain common conditions, for instance such as moistness, soil condition, temperature, humidity, light intensity, Carbon monoxide detection and operate the water supply through phone itself. All the environmental instance information are send to cloud server using Wi-Fi module ESP32. If any climatic condition crosses certain specific threshold limit related action will be taken place like if the temperature becomes high the rooftop of the green house will be opened or the exhaust fan will be switch ON manually by the user and if the light intensity goes down the external light supply will be given to the plants. The microcontroller will turn ON the motor if the moisture content of soil doesn’t meet the required condition. The sensors used in the proposed system are Resistive soil moisture sensor, DHT11 sensor, MQ9 sensor and LDR. The user can monitor and control parameters through mobile phone by using BLYNK app. This model was attempted in order to achieve the intelligent monitoring of greenhouse environment parameters like temperature, humidity, soil moisture etc., keeping the user continuously informed of the conditions inside the greenhouse using IOT technology.

Irrigation automation plays a vital role in agricultural water management system. An efficient automatic irrigation system is crucial to improve crop water productivity. Soil moisture based irrigation is an economical and efficient approach for automation of irrigation system. An experiment was conducted for irrigation automation based on the soil moisture content and crop growth stage. The experimental findings exhibited that, automatic irrigation system based on the proposed model triggers the water supply accurately based on the real-time soil moisture values.

This study aims to determine the role of globalization, electronic government, financial development, concerning the moderation of institutional quality in reducing income inequality and poverty in One Belt One Road countries. The electronic government and regional integration of the economies of the One Belt One Road countries has increased globalization and can play a vital role in reducing income inequality and poverty. However, this globalization and digital transformation of government systems can only be beneficial in the presence of good institutional quality. The sample includes 64 One Belt One Road countries from 2003 to 2018. We employed a two-step system generalized method of moment (Sys-GMM) and a robustness check through Driscoll–Kraay standard errors regression. Our findings show that globalization, economic growth, e-government development, government expenditure, and inflation have a statistically significant and negative impact on income inequality and are key to eradicating income inequality and poverty. On the other hand, financial development, gross capital formation, and population size positively influence income inequality, which causes an increase in poverty and income inequality as financial development and population levels increase. Moderating variable institutional quality also positively impacts income inequality, which means that institutional quality in Belt and Road Countries is weak, as they are mostly developing countries that need to improve their systems. Moreover, the marginal effect also revealed that institutional quality has a corrective effect on the factors’ relationship with income inequality. Our findings endorse and conclude that globalization and e-government development improve economic growth and eradicate poverty and income inequality by boosting digitalization, investments, job creation, and wage increases for semi-skilled and unskilled human capital in Belt and Road countries. The sustainable utilization of financial and institutional resources plays a vital role in reducing income inequality and poverty in Belt and Road countries.

ABSTRACT Histamine-producing Erwinia and Pluralibacter spp. capable of producing toxic histamine levels were isolated from ingredients commonly used in tuna salad preparations. The characterization and control of these histamine-producing bacteria are necessary to prevent illness from tuna salad consumption. We confirmed the identity of two Erwinia spp. and one Pluralibacter sp. previously isolated from tuna salad ingredients through whole genome sequencing and phylogenic analysis and characterized them for growth and histamine production at different temperatures, pH values, and salt concentrations. In addition, we examined the effects of dried vinegar (DV) powder on growth and histamine production of these strains in inoculated tuna salad preparations. Optimum growth temperatures in tryptic soy broth (TSB) for the two Erwinia spp. and one Pluralibacter sp. were 30.1, 31.1, and 33.9°C, respectively, and growth in TSB was observed at 5°C for both genera. Optimum histamine production of Erwinia persicina, Erwinia spp., and Pluralibacter spp. in TSB with histidine occurred from 25 to 30°C, pH 4 to 6, and 0 to 4% NaCl. No significant growth or histamine production was observed in tuna salad preparations stored at 4°C. Growth and histamine production by Erwinia or Pluralibacter spp. was inhibited in tuna salad containing celery and onion and 2% DV, whereas significant growth and histamine production occurred in tuna salad without DV. Understanding optimum growth conditions and histamine production can provide guidance to tuna salad manufacturers in formulating products and adjusting processing conditions that minimize hazards from these histamine-producing bacteria. Addition of 2% DV to tuna salad preparations may prevent histamine production in the event of temperature abuse. HIGHLIGHTS

Soil moisture plays a vital role for the understanding of hydrological, meteorological, and climatological land surface processes. To meet the need of real time global soil moisture datasets, a Soil Moisture Operational Product System (SMOPS) has been developed at National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to produce a one-stop shop for soil moisture observations from all available satellite sensors. What makes the SMOPS unique is its near real time global blended soil moisture product. Since the first version SMOPS publicly released in 2010, the SMOPS has been updated twice based on the users’ feedbacks through improving retrieval algorithms and including observations from new satellite sensors. The version 3.0 SMOPS has been operationally released since 2017. Significant differences in climatological averages lead to remarkable distinctions in data quality between the newest and the older versions of SMOPS blended soil moisture products. This study reveals that the SMOPS version 3.0 has overwhelming advantages of reduced data uncertainties and increased correlations with respect to the quality controlled in situ measurements. The new version SMOPS also presents more robust agreements with the European Space Agency’s Climate Change Initiative (ESA_CCI) soil moisture datasets. With the higher accuracy, the blended data product from the new version SMOPS is expected to benefit the hydrological, meteorological, and climatological researches, as well as numerical weather, climate, and water prediction operations.

Existing studies have traced China’s high political trust to three sources: traditional culture, the state’s success in fostering economic growth, and ideological propaganda. We identify a fourth source: perceived social mobility. We argue that when people perceive a reasonable chance for upward mobility based on personal initiatives and efforts, the status quo becomes more justifiable because individuals are responsible for their own successes and failures. Perceived social mobility thus instills a sense of optimism and fairness and exonerates the regime from many blames, thereby enhancing political trust. Regression analysis of the China portion of the 2007 World Values Survey data shows that respondents who saw themselves as having choices and control in life were indeed more likely to trust the ruling communist party. The respondents’ overall level of perceived social mobility is also high, which is consistent with the massive shake-up of the preexisting social order in China’s reform era.

In a society where the politics of life is geared toward maximizing the physical and psychological dimensions of human capital to ensure economic growth, France’s Inspectorate for Youth and Sports played a key role in disseminating a new mode of governance of bodies and youth—a form of self-governance based on the rising neoliberal values that emerged during the period of the Trente Glorieuses. Representing a tiny minority in an essentially male bastion, a small number of women, cherry-picked for their expertise and effectiveness as inspectors, came to play a vital role in a new mode of youth governance aimed, against a backdrop of social control, at encouraging young people to assume greater self-responsibility and to take ownership of their physical education and activities. Guided by research in the human and social sciences as a basis for rethinking how physical education is taught in schools, women may be seen as key contributors to the emergence of a new ethos designed to develop the ability of French youth to adapt to the social and economic transformation of capitalist society by appealing to the psyche (superego) and self-regulation. Despite promoting a “differentialist feminism”.

This study investigates the causal relationship between banking sector development, inflation, and economic growth for six Asian countries (Bangladesh, China, India, Malaysia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) over the period of 1970-2016. Using a Pedroni panel, Kao co-integration test, Panel Granger causality-based Error Correction Model, Dynamic ordinary least square (DOLS), and Fully modified ordinary least square (FMOLS), this study finds that the development of the banking sector generally has a positive relationship with economic growth in the long-run. This results show that in the long-run, monetary policy play a vital role in the economic growth. This study also confirmed the response causality between the indicators of banking sector development and economic growth. Based on the empirical findings, this research provides important policy implications to the banking sector and economic supervisory bodies in order to achieve the long run economic growth.
