The purpose of this study; is to determine the political literacy levels of pre-service teachers of social studies and to demonstrate the effects of the several variables over the components of political literacy (knowledge and understanding- dispositions and values-skills and aptitudes). Researchers use political literacy scale which have 3 components for gathering data. The sample is 1187 pre-service teachers from 7 geographical regions and this sample chosen wia maximum variation sampling. After collecting the data, researchers found that pre-service teacher’s knowledge, disposition and skills were at a medium level. When the averages of total scores that pre-service teachers obtained from three different components forming the political literacy were examined, it was seen that their political literacy levels were at a medium level. When the relationship among the components forming the political literacy, it was found that there was a positive, low level and significant relationship between knowledge and disposition; a positive high level and significant relationship between knowledge and skill; a positive, high level and significant relationship between disposition and skill. ÖzetAraştırmanın amacı, sosyal bilgiler eğitiminde öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının mevcut siyasi okuryazarlık düzeylerini belirlemek, siyaset okuryazarlığını oluşturan bileşenler (bilgi- duyuşsal eğilim- davranış/beceri) üzerinde çeşitli değişkenlerin etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Bu araştırmanın örneklemini, 2014-2015 eğitim öğretim yılında 13 farklı üniversitenin sosyal bilgiler eğitiminin 3. ve 4. sınıflarında öğrenim gören 1187 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem seçilirken maksimum örnekleme türü kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının bilgileri, duyuşsal eğilimleri ve beceri/davranışları orta düzeyde bulunmuştur. Öğretmen adaylarının siyaset okuryazarlığını oluşturan bu üç ayrı bileşenden aldıkları toplam puanların ortalamasına bakıldığında ise siyaset okuryazarlık düzeylerinin orta seviyede olduğu görülmektedir. Siyaset okuryazarlığını oluşturan bileşenler arasındaki ilişkiye bakıldığında; bilgi ile duyuşsal eğilim arasında pozitif yönde, düşük düzeyde anlamlı; bilgi ile beceri/davranış arasında pozitif yönde, yüksek düzeyde; beceri/davranış ile duyuşsal eğilim arasında pozitif yönde, yüksek düzeyde ilişki bulunmuştur.

This descriptive study is aimed to investigate the relationship between Azerbaijani and Turkmenistanian undergraduate students’ attendance to lesson, their aim in life and loneliness level. A total of 145 students -105 males and 40 females- who were selected by sampling from Turkmenistanian and Azerbaijani students enrolled Uşak University participated in the research voluntarily. According to the results of the descriptive statistics about the variables of the students in the study, when the arithmetic averages are examined, it is seen that they participate to the lessons at a high level. Besides, it is understood that aim in life and loneliness levels of these undergraduate students are medium-level. There is a significant positive correlation between aim in life and attendance to lesson. When the relationship between loneliness level and aim in life is examined, it is observed that there is a negative low level and insignificant relation statistically. When the relationship between attendance to lesson and loneliness level is examined, it is observed that there is a high significant relationship in the negative direction. There is no significant relation among attendance to lesson with aim in life and loneliness level. When the results of the t-test on the significance of the regression coefficients are examined, it is seen that both variables are predictive of attendance to lesson

<p align="center"><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><pre><em>                </em><em>Farmer groups are a forum for farmers to make it easier for farmers to carry out their farming, if the farmer group runs effectively in accordance with the goals of the group. Effective farmer groups cannot be separated from the role of group leaders. The head of the farmer group has an important role in supporting the group to achieve its group goals. Based on the background described, then </em><em>the purpose of this research are to know: the effectiveness of paddy farmer group; the leadership level of farmer group; and the relationship between leadership of farmer group leader with the effectiveness of farmer group in Sukoharjo Sub District of Pringsewu Regency. This research was conducted in Sukoharjo Sub District Pringsewu Regency, with 73 respondents of paddy farmer.  Data was collected by using survey method with descriptive analysis and using statistical non parametric test rank spearman correlation to test hypothesis.  The results showed that</em><em> paddy farmer group in </em><em>Sukoharjo Sub District had a high level of effectiveness, had a medium level of leadership of farmer group leader; and leadership of farmer group had significant relationship with farmer group effectiveness.  </em></pre><p> </p><p>Keyword:<em>  effectiveness, </em><em>farmer group</em><em>, leadership.</em></p><p align="center"><strong> </strong></p><p align="center"><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p>Kelompok tani merupakan wadah bagi petani agar memudahkan petani dalam menajalankan usahataninya, jika kelompok tani berjalan secara efektif sesuai dengan tujuan kelompoknya. Kelompok tani yang efektif tidak terlepas dari peran ketua kelompok. Ketua kelompok tani memiliki peran yang penting dalam mendukung kelompok mencapai tujuan kelompoknya. Berdasarkan latar belakang yang telah diuraikan, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui: keefektifan kelompok tani padi sawah; tingkat kepemimpinan ketua kelompok tani; dan hubungan antara tingkat kepemimpinan ketua kelompok tani dengan keefektifan kelompok tani padi sawah di Kecamatan Sukoharjo Kabupaten Pringsewu.  Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Sukoharjo Kabupaten Pringsewu, dengan 73 petani responden. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survey, dengan anilisis deskriptif dan menggunakan uji statistik korelasi <em>rank spearman </em>non parametrik untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelompok tani padi sawah memiliki tingkat keefektifan yang tinggi, memiliki tingkat kepemimpinan ketua kelompok yang sedang, dan kepemimpinan ketua kelompok tani memiliki hubungan yang nyata dengan keefektifan kelompok tani.</p><p> </p>

Political socialization is an aspect of socialization, and its goal is to cultivate sound, rational and qualified political people. With the continuous development of society, college students, as social citizens, gradually have the opportunity to change from management object to management subject in the trend of political socialization. In addition, College students are also the driving force of social development and the hope of making the whole country rich and strong. Therefore, making college students have enough political literacy and whether they are highly socialized will affect the development level of the whole society. At present, ideological and political education has been gradually popularized in universities, and the level of ideological and political education affects the results of college students’ political socialization. It is particularly important to constantly improve and improve the contents, objectives and methods of ideological and political education so as to promote the political socialization of college students. Facebook is emerging as a platform for moderately civil political discussion because of its high level of identifiability. To confirm if Facebook construction of political opposition is equally civil, this study content analyses 28 comment threads (N=3,311 comments) from the Facebook pages of four aspirants in two Nigerian gubernatorial elections. The study finds that civil comments, though mostly impolite, dominate the Facebook pages of the aspirants. It finds also a significant relationship between comment position and its politeness and civility. Neutral comments are most likely to be civil and polite while dissenting comments are most likely to be uncivil. More than others, dissenting comments constitute a potent discursive tool for othering political opposition into a politically disadvantaged position.

This study aims to identify the level of academic procrastination among a group of students and its correlation with parenting styles. A sample of 685 male and female undergraduate students was chosen from many different faculties at the Hashemite University. Two questionnaires; academic procrastination and parenting styles, were administrated to members of the sample during the academic year 2013/2014. Results indicated that few students (7%) showed a high level of academic procrastination, over half of the students (67%) showed a medium level and approximately a quarter of students (26%) showed a low level of academic procrastination, there was no significant differences between male and female in academic procrastination scores. Final results indicated a significant positive correlation between academic procrastination and parenting styles.

Objective: To determine the relationship between expectations and satisfaction regarding technical knowledge - empathic attitude in the clinical practices of nursing students at the Grau de EsSalud Emergency Hospital in 2019. Methods: A study with a quantitative approach, observational type, and correlational design showed 80 nursing students who carried out their clinical practices at the Hospital de Emergencias Grau participated in 2019. Results: Nursing students were characterized by an average age of 21.36 years, 75% were female, and 72.5% were single. The expectations and satisfaction regarding technical knowledge - empathic attitude in the clinical practices of nursing students were high levels in 97.5% and medium level in 60%, respectively. There was no significant relationship between expectations and satisfaction regarding technical knowledge - the empathic attitude of the clinical practices of nursing students (p = 0.661). Conclusion: There is no relationship between expectations and satisfaction regarding technical knowledge - empathic attitude in the clinical practices of nursing students at Hospital de Emergencias Grau de EsSalud in 2019.

This study aims to determine the relationship between social media and the argumentative paragraph writing skill of Politeknik Negeri Batam students. This study employs a descriptive method, with 70 students as the research subjects. In this study, students were asked to do a practice in the form of writing an argumentative paragraph. An analysis from the obtained data is then conducted to find out their mastery in composing a paragraph. As the basis for the assessment, scores in unity, coherence, and development aspect were assigned to each paragraph. These three aspects were then collected and summed up to find the mean of the data, which had been grouped and assigned score before, to determine their mastery level in writing an argumentative paragraph. Subsequently, the data were inserted into a table. Based on the table, which recapitulates the mastery level in writing an argumentative paragraph, the results are as follows: 43 % of the students have a high level of mastery, with 58 % of them having access to social media; 37 % of the students are in the medium level of mastery, with 28 % of them having access to social media; 20 % is in the low level of mastery, with 13 % of them having access to social media. The results of this study show that students who are active in social media have the ability to write a good argumentative paragraph. This might be due to the fact that activities in social media enhance their writing skill, which is closely related to the four aspects of language competencies, which consist of observing, reading, listening, and writing.

In the past, when most computers were workplace tools, researchers in the field of HCI predominately focused on practical aspects of computing, such as usability and efficiency. Now, with more and more computer technologies entering the home and other areas of life, such as schooling and informal education, an increasing number of researchers are exploring subjective issues related to computing. This research explored the relationship between visual complexity, aesthetics and learning motivation with respect to children's learning websites. It took the form of an experiment involving children aged 10 to 11 years-old viewing homepages designed for them. In the experiment, the children were divided into three groups. One group was shown homepages of a low level of visual complexity, another group was shown homepages of a medium level of visual complexity and another group was shown homepages of a high level of visual complexity. At the end of the experiment, the children were asked questions about the homepages; the questions were on the topics of aesthetics and motivation. In addition to exploring the relationship between visual complexity, aesthetics and learning motivation, the research tested Berylne's theory of preference: a theory that purports that people prefer medium level stimuli to high or low-level stimuli. The results of the experiment showed that children preferred aesthetics of a medium level of visual complexity, Berlyne's theory was thus supported. The results also revealed that aesthetic preference and learning motivation were correlated. These findings have implications for designers of children's learning websites as they suggest that by manipulating visual complexity, a user's viewing pleasure can be enhanced or depreciated.

The study aimed to reveal levels of psychological distress and maladaptive perfectionism at the students of secondary stages in Kuwait schools, and to determine the relationship between those two factors under the effect of trait emotional intelligence. The study sample was composed of (255) students from six schools located in different areas in Kuwait city. A self- administered questionnaire was used as the study instrument for collecting data. It was found that both psychological distress and maladaptive perfectionism were found at medium level, whereas trait emotional intelligence was found at the high level, Moreover it was found that trait emotional intelligence as a mediator affects the psychological distress- maladaptive perfectionism relationship.

A review of seven studies in China concerning field dependence-independence among 500 athletes in 10 different sports is presented. Athletes participating in closed-skill sports were more field-independent than those in open-skill sports. In closed-skill sports, high-level athletes were more field-independent than those of medium level. In open-skill sports involving direct contact, high-level athletes were more field-dependent than those of medium level. No significant relationship was found between field dependence-independence and athletes' performance in open-skill sports in which no direct contact was involved.
