Abstract BackgroundWith a rapidly aging population, the importance of promoting end-of-life care at home has been pointed out. Home-visit nurses play an important role as professionals in charge of home care, and pre- and post- bereavement care for bereaved families is included in home-visit nursing services. However, bereaved families are not always provided with care after bereavement in Japan. This present study aims to investigate the relationship between the provision rates of pre- and post-bereavement care for the patient family and the demographics of home-visit nurses through a survey of home-visit nurses, and to clarify the details of post-bereavement care and the reasons why the care is employed, exploratorily through a survey of the managers of home-visit nursing stations.MethodsA self-rating anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted with 2,400 facilities (including 2,200 facilities randomly selected from among the members of Home-Visit Nursing Stations of the National Nursing Business Association). For the analysis, simple aggregation was used and the statistical processing employed SPSS ver21.0.ResultsA total of 680 valid responses were analyzed. The mean length of home-visit nursing experience was 10.6 years and that of hospital nursing experience was 15.2 years. The provision rate of post-bereavement care was 90% or higher in most of the identified items, excluding “Provided continued support/life planning until the family fully recovers social life”. For the provision of post-bereavement care, most items exceeded 70%, but excluding “Provided continued support until the family fully recovers social life”, and “Involved in building a life after bereavement”.Compared to the participants with less than 5 years of home-visit nursing experience, those with 10 years or longer experience had statistically significantly higher rates of providing post-bereavement care in more than half of the identified items. Home-visit nursing facilities with 24-hour services had statistically significantly higher rates of providing care in more than half of the items of both of pre- and post-bereavement care, compared to the facilities without 24-hour services. About 70% of the managers think that bereaved families need follow-up, and visited the families as a post-bereavement care.

In 1973 the American Psychiatric Association removed homosexuality from its list of diagnoses, thereby implying that it is a normal variant of sexual behavior. Since then, when homosexuals have sought professional help for emotional problems, psychiatrists have tended increasingly to assist them to believe that their emotional discomfort is the result of society's bias and intolerance and to accept and enjoy their preference for individuals of the same sex. The World Health Organization, however, still includes homosexuality as a medical diagnosis in the International Classification of Diseases. Normally, a child can be expected to develop into an adult with its genetically determined sex. When a boy who is physically and hormonally normal develops a preference for sex with another male, it is an indication that something is amiss. A pathologic family environment is often present in the family of homosexuals. Yet not all boys exposed to a pathologic family during early development become homosexuals. Because of this, the role of disturbed relationships in causing homosexuality is questioned. However, psychoanalyses of male homosexuals have convincingly revealed the existence of a fear of heterosexuality in individuals with genetically predisposed personalities.

The text presented here is a fragment of a larger study on a private and social life of a group of women, actresses. It concerns attempts to create and show their own identity according to their fight for recognition (self-trust, self-estimation in the society, in the family environment, in public space as well as in their own opinions). The strategy of this study was qualitative research, based on a grounded theory methodology. The study was performed on 27 actresses, divided into three age groups. All the studied subjects had a very good economic status and all were successful professionals. The article presents an analysis carried out on the basis of a free flowing but planned interview. The struggle for recognition is treated as a way of restoring a constantly threatened personality and describes the contemporary woman, her situation and her actions. This research shows the problem that professional women come across, namely the women are successful actresses but at the same time wish to be fulfilled in their family lives. Amongst the 18 actresses over the age of 40, 14 talked about taking anti-depressants or about alcohol dependence. Further detailed analysis of the empirical material can help to find the source of the processes, which are a sign of a lack of recognition and which pose a threat to the integrity of the human identity and destroy the social bond which constitutes identity.

This paper discusses the framework in which the educational process takes place and the impact of family variables on student success. The aim of the research is to determine the basic characteristics of the connection between the contextual factors of the family environment and the school success of students, in the field of mathematics and the Serbian language. The research involved 300 teachers – 150 mathematics teachers and 150 Serbian language teachers, as well as 600 of their students. A descriptive method was used, and data were collected using a survey and scaling technique. For the success of students, the interest of parents in school and the success of students, the involvement of parents in school activities are more important than the overall conditions for learning and working at home. The grade in mathematics is conditioned by the general conditions for learning at home. However, only 6.1% of the dependent variable (mathematics grade) explains the independent variables. 9.3% of the variance in the assessment of the Serbian language was explained by the conditions for learning and working at home. Parents' interest in school explains 13.1% of the variance in mathematics. Parents' interest in school explains 14.3% of the variance of the grade in the Serbian language.

This paper presents both theoretical and practical aspects of the significance of this kindergarten-family partnership with the mission to inform both teachers and parents about the importance of collaboration and to offer some suggestions by which we can make the communication between these two parts. The main objective underlying this paper is to study in detail the partnership between kindergarten and family and to analyze the reasons why this partnership is not fully realized in order to facilitate better communication between these two parties. The paper is structured in 3 chapters as follows: In the first chapter, called "The family environment and its educational value", the paper deals with topics such as: family - a polysematic concept, family functions and educational styles in the family. In these second chapter, called "Kindergarten-family relationship, active and efficient partners in early education", the paper focuses on: the concept of educational partnership, collaboration between family and kindergarten - guarantee of school success, the opportunity of the educational partnership family-kindergarten, implementation of the family-kindergarten partnership and the importance of the kindergarten-family partnership in the formation and development of the personality of the preschool child. In the third chapter, which is the case study, “Comparison between the urban and rural areas, regarding the kindergarten-family partnership problem”, the paper focuses on the level of involvement of parents and teachers in the issue of their involvement in the education of children. I will also analyze the difference between rural and urban areas regarding the problem of partnership and the involvement of parents and educators. The family must always be involved in the education of the child at home and at school. The partnership between family and kindergarten represents a strong collaborative relationship, with the help of which we work in a team to establish the best methods of collaboration and education for the child. The kindergarten helps the child to develop psychically, physically and intellectually, leaving him with a bag of information that will help him in the future. Many may ask this question "What role does the family play in this process?". Well, the family gives the child the seven years at home, which are extremely important. Without the seven years at home, the educator cannot function as well as he or she would like. Without the help and involvement of the family in the relationship with the kindergarten, this process we call Partnership, would not exist. Also, in performing the processing and interpretation of the data from this research, the statistical method was used. After centralizing all the answers, I found the following facts: Parents are selective when it comes to their involvement in different activities within the kindergarten. The parents together with the teachers appreciate the importance of the partnership. In both urban and rural areas, we can say that there is openness and transparency when it comes to this partnership and between parents and teachers do not find communication problems.
