Introduction. The article addresses the problem of assessing teachers’ professional deficiencies. The purpose of the research is to identify the essential factors determining the connection between teachers’ professional deficiencies and learning outcomes of schoolchildren. Materials and Methods. In order to study the relationship between teachers’ professional deficiencies and schoolchildren’s learning outcomes, the authors have developed a model of teachers’ professional deficiencies and followed a comprehensive research approach. The sample consisted of 3375 teachers who were interviewed. The authors analyzed the results of National Examinations (the Unified State Exams) of higher educational institutions applicants from 50 municipalities of the region. The method of factor analysis revealed a stable system of latent properties of teachers’ professional deficiencies affecting learning outcomes. The materials and methods that formed the basis of this study were obtained with the support of Krasnoyarsk Regional Fund for the Support of Research and Scientific-Technical Activities within the framework of the project “Comprehensive study of professional shortcomings and difficulties of teachers of the Krasnoyarsk Territory”. Results. The research findings consist in the developed system of factors obtained by indirect measurements. The content structure and characteristics of teachers’ professional deficiencies determining teaching effectiveness are revealed. It has been established that the selected groups of factors have a specific representation in each subject area. The results of teaching students in various subjects depend on the specifics of teachers’ professional deficiencies. The identified set of factors in the subject areas of “Mathematics”, “Literature”, “History”, “English” has a complex structure of the selected properties and is more diverse than in “Russian”, “Social Studies” and “Biology”. It is established that the theoretical model of teachers’ professional deficits has its own subject expression. Conclusions. Conclusions are drawn about the stability of the identified system of latent properties of teachers’ professional deficiencies, on which the results of schoolchildren's education depend. The authors emphasize that the established connection between teachers’ professional deficiencies and the results of schoolchildren's education contributes to the development of professional development programs and can become the main work of professional development centers for educators.

The formulation of the problem in this research is how the application of the method Jigsaw read in improving learning outcomes Indonesian students fourth grade Inpres12 / 79 Wollangi Barebbo District Subdistrict Bone? The purpose of this study is to describe the application of Jigsaw reading method in improving learning outcomes Indonesian on fourth grade students Instruction 12/79 Wollangi Barebbo District of Bone regency. This research approach is descriptive qualitative approach to the type of classroom action research cycle repeated / cyclic that includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The focus of this research is the application of methods Jigsaw reading and learning outcomes Indonesian. Subjects were students in fourth grade Instruction 12/79 Wollangi Barebbo District of Bone regency. Research data collection techniques are tests and observation. Data analysis techniques in the study of data reduction, data presentation, draw conclusions and verification. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes of the first cycle with enough categories to increase to both categories at the second cycle. The conclusion of the research is the application of methods Jigsaw reading can improve learning outcomes Indonesian students fourth grade Instruction 12/79 Wollangi Barebbo District of Bone regency.

The theory of transformative learning (TL) has been criticized secondhand for its lack of clarity in capturing and explaining in detail the processes undergone by learners who are going through TL experiences and their link to learning outcomes. Using a case study design, and carefully synthesized TL processes (TLPs) from Mezirow’s TL theory, we present—moment by moment—the TLPs linked to outcomes identified among a group of teachers who participated in a values-based workshop. Participants were followed through interviews for over 72 weeks to trace the stability of their TL outcome. TL processes identified were compared to Mezirow’s 10 processes. The article discusses ontological transformations gained and offers fresh perspective to identifying TLPs that can be linked to outcomes.

Experienced middle school mathematics and science teachers were recruited for a pilot study. The teachers separately responded to a survey related to determining expected learning outcomes based on their traditional teaching, classroom experiences and observations, and self-brainstorming. The teachers then received training on how to design, develop, and implement robotics-enabled lessons under a design-based research approach for experiential learning, and taught robotics-enabled lessons to a selected student population in classroom settings. The teachers then responded to the survey for the robotics-enabled teaching. For each case (traditional and robotics-enabled), the survey responses were analyzed, and a set of expected learning outcomes of math and science lessons was derived separately. The thematic analysis results showed that the expected learning outcomes for the robotics-enabled lessons were not only related to the educational gains (content knowledge) observed in traditional teaching, but also to the improvements in the behavioral, social, scientific, cognitive, and intellectual aptitudes of the students. Then, a set of metrics and methods were proposed for assessing the learning outcomes separately. To validate the assessment metrics and methods, teachers from different schools taught two selected robotics-enabled lessons (one math, one science) to same grade students, and separately assessed the learning outcomes of each student using the proposed metrics and methods. The learning outcomes were then compared and benchmarked between schools and subjects. The results of a user study with the teachers showed user acceptance, effectiveness, and suitability of the assessment metrics and methods. The proposed scheme of assessing learning outcomes can be used to assess and justify the benefits and advantages of robotics-enabled STEM education, benchmark the outcomes, help improve teaching preparations, motivate decision-makers to confer on robotics-enabled STEM education and curricula development, and promote robotics-enabled STEM education.

Case overview This case focuses on Tracoma Holding Berhad Bai Bithaman Ajil Debt Securities (BaIDS) amounting to RM 100 million which was issued by Tracoma Holding Berhad in 2005. It was the first issuance of a sukuk (Islamic debt securities or bond) by the company. The proceeds were used to finance its growth and to repay existing bank borrowings and capital requirements. This case is interesting, as it allows students to study the bai bithaman ajil sukuk structure and issuance process in the Malaysian capital market. It also provides basic financial transaction and credit rating of sukuk which requires analytical skills. Being a debt-based facility, the sukuk was subjected to credit rating evaluation by the MARC, the rating agency appointed by the company. Further downgrading of the sukuk meant it would lead to the worst-case scenario. Some actions needed to be taken to solve this issue; therefore, the CFO suggested an urgent meeting with the sukuk holders. Expected learning outcomes The students should be able to: understand the issuance process and the principle of BBA (bai bithamin ajil) in sukuk structure; understand reason(s) methods of fund raising by firm and the allocations of fund; understand the sukuk default issue; analyze the reasons for sukuk default; understand the importance of debt securities credit ratings; and identify investors' protection in the case of sukuk default. Subject area At the broadest level, the case represents an opportunity for students to discuss internationalisation of local firms. It focusses on getting students to analyse the costs and benefits associated with the foreign entry decision as well as the strategies for foreign entry. Case overview The Exploring International Markets: Unique Quality Heads to Kenya case study provides a chronological report of how Unique Quality, a cereal production company, grew locally up until the point when it considers internationalisation. It details the key considerations the firm makes as it considers its foreign entry decision. Unique Quality is a cereal production company in Ghana, which operates within the agriculture industry. The industry operates at almost all the points along the value chain including coordinating the growing of the cereal until it is harvested, packaged and marketed for sale. The company which started operations in 2013 has made great gains in penetrating the Ghanaian market. Salma, who is currently at the helm of affair at the company, together with the board is considering entering into Kenya. This decision is one that must not be taken lightly and has left Salma in a dilemma. The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the performance of certified teachers; (2) student learning outcomes; (3) the effect of teacher certification on teacher performance; and (4) the effect of teacher certification on student learning outcomes in MTs. Model Sorong City. The research approach used is quantitative with survey techniques. The method of determining the sample used is a saturated sample. That is, 20 respondents sample the entire population. The analytical method used is a simple linear regression method. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the performance of certified teachers is good (3.56); (2) student learning outcomes are classified as good (3.97); (3) there is a positive and significant effect of teacher certification on teacher performance by 73.3%; and (4) there is a positive and significant effect of teacher certification on student learning outcomes by 64.3%. It can be concluded that the provision of certification allowances can improve teacher performance and student learning outcomes in MTs. Model Sorong City.

Case overview The COVID 19 pandemic-related restrictions devastated South Africa’s economy in 2020 and although the restrictions were generally less damaging than in 2020, the government had to budget for vaccinations and rebuild the economy. Public service unions had just announced that they were demanding an increase of 4% above inflation for their members and that they were preparing for a strike. They were bitter about the fact that the South African Government had withdrawn from the last year of a three-year wage agreement in February 2020 and their members had not received an increase for the two years. These demands and Finance Minister Mboweni’s response to them had to consider the structural and cyclical impact on the fiscus and economy. Expected learning outcomes The learning outcomes are as follows: understand the general objectives of fiscal policy and stakeholders’ interests; understand the tradeoffs in fiscal policy and the implications of taking a position; and make recommendations based on reasoned judgements about those recommendations. The problem found in the research is that during the learning and teaching process in madrasas, the Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers have not involved students directly with the application of the digital Al-Qur'an, so students have not been trained in solving various learning problems. The unavailability of media that supports learning and teaching activities of Al-Qur'an Hadith in madrasas. This type of research is qualitative with a field research approach. Sources of data as informants are school principals and teachers of the Qur'an Hadith, data collection methods by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study found that the application of audio-visual media in Al-Quran Hadith subjects had been maximally applied in connection with the implementation of learning in the COVID-19 pandemic which required online learning and teaching activities. So, learning using audio-visual media is very appropriate to be applied in MTs. Tarbiyah Waladiyah Pulau Banyak. And the application of audio-visual media in improving the ability to understand the learning of the Qur'an and Hadith for class VII MTs students. Tarbiyah Waladiyah Pulau Banyak has been carried out well and there has been an increase since the beginning of the pre-meeting, namely the number of students who get a complete score, namely 29.7% of students who get a complete score in the field of study of the Qur'an and Hadith, at the first meeting it increases to 46% of students who complete in Al-Quran Hadith learning activities on the material to understand the short letter of the Qur'an. At the second meeting the level of completeness of students in learning the Qur'an Hadith was 78.3% of class VII MTs. Private Tarbiyah Waladiyah. In this study, we propose a novel fractional-order Jerk system. Experiments show that, under some suitable parameters, the fractional-order Jerk system displays a chaotic phenomenon. In order to suppress the chaotic behavior of the fractional-order Jerk system, we design two control strategies. Firstly, we design an appropriate time delay feedback controller to suppress the chaos of the fractional-order Jerk system. The delay-independent stability and bifurcation conditions are established. Secondly, we design a suitable mixed controller, which includes a time delay feedback controller and a fractional-order PDσ controller, to eliminate the chaos of the fractional-order Jerk system. The sufficient condition ensuring the stability and the creation of Hopf bifurcation for the fractional-order controlled Jerk system is derived. Finally, computer simulations are executed to verify the feasibility of the designed controllers. The derived results of this study are absolutely new and possess potential application value in controlling chaos in physics. Moreover, the research approach also enriches the chaos control theory of fractional-order dynamical system.
