Studies conducted in higher education institutions provide important information about professional performance. The present study had as objective to determine the level of job satisfaction, and establish correlation between this construct and extrinsic factors that can intervene in this job satisfaction. This is a descriptive, correlational, probabilistic, and non-experimental work. There is a population of 1207 professionals and the calculated sample was of 307. Theoretical and empirical methods were implemented, such as analysis, synthesis, historical-logical method, literature review, survey, and for the statistical processing, the Chi-squared test was used to cross qualitative variables. It was concluded that there is a strong correlation between the dependent variable and the variables of salary, positions held, and employment sectors. The relation between satisfaction and academic performance is weak. It is recommended to conduct a study with a more extended sample, with the integrator model of satisfaction, and to develop strategies from the pregraduate training to contribute to keep high levels of satisfaction in professional graduates in psychology.

Abstract Introduction Good hearing in pilots, including central auditory skills, is critical for flight safety and the prevention of aircraft accidents. Pure tone audiometry alone may not be enough to assess hearing in the members of this population who, in addition to high noise levels, routinely face speech recognition tasks in non-ideal conditions. Objective To characterize the frequency-following response (FFR) of a group of military pilots compared with a control group. Methods Twenty military pilots in the Study Group and 20 non-pilot military personnel, not exposed to noise in their work, in the Control Group, all with normal hearing, aged between 30 and 40 years old, completed a questionnaire to assess their hearing habits, and their FFRs were measured with a /da/ syllable (duration 40 milliseconds, speed 10.9/s), at 80 dB NA in the right ear. All procedures were approved by the ethical committee of the institution. Statistical analysis was performed using the t-Student or Mann-Whitney tests for quantitative variables, and the Fisher or chi-squared tests for qualitative variables, and a value of p < 0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. Results There was no significant difference between the groups regarding auditory habits. In the FFR, wave amplitudes A (p = 0.01) and C (p = 0.04) were significantly lower in the Study Group. Conclusion Working as a military pilot can be a crucial factor in determining an individual's typical FFR pattern, demonstrated in the present study by statistically significant reductions in the amplitudes of the A and C waves.

Considering the importance of job satisfaction in teaching, and the ongoing debate regarding the influence of various factors on job satisfaction, this study identifies the status of job satisfaction and examines the influence of institutional sector and demographic factors on job satisfaction among Nepalese academicians. The study sample comprised 156 academicians from different higher-level educational institutions in Nepal, and the data were collected through structured questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, independent-samples t-test, and one-way ANOVA test were used to analyze the data. Results showed that Nepalese academicians are moderately satisfied with their job, in which intrinsic factors appear stronger than extrinsic factors. The findings also demonstrated that the institutional sector, in favor of public institutions, and academic qualification influence job satisfaction but gender, age, and teaching experience do not influence job satisfaction of academicians. Widespread sampling framework, all-inclusive job satisfaction measures, and remarkable findings have made the study unique and potent.

This paper compares people from former socialist countries with those of non‐socialist countries according to their attitudes toward society, trade unions, work and the organisations they work for ‐ based on empirical data from 15 countries. Results indicate that intrinsic factors of job satisfaction in the traditional capitalist countries have a greater correlation with feelings toward the company and general job satisfaction than extrinsic factors. The opposite is true of former socialist countries. Countries with a socialist past have to deal with the satisfaction of needs at a lower level than traditional capitalist countries and this consequently influences attitudes and expectations toward society, trade unions, organisations and work.

Aim: To evaluate the overall job satisfaction among periodontists, highlighting the significance of intrinsic and extrinsic factors and their satisfaction level with patients, facilities, and workplace when working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods: An interview-type questionnaire-based cross-sectional study was formulated and consisted of total 38 questions in 8 domains. Contact details of registered periodontists were taken and a weblink containing details of the questionnaire using the tool SurveyMonkey was sent to periodontist from the office of Saudi Dental Society. A single investigator was done to minimize bias evaluated with all the responses. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences software version 21 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA) was used for tabulation of descriptive analysis. Standard deviation, percentages and means were calculated. Results: Out of the total 75 emails sent to the periodontists, 65 (86%) responses were received. 63 (96.9%) of the respondents were Saudi nationals, whereas the rest 2 (3.1%) were non‑Saudis. 40 (61.5%) respondents were males, whereas 25 (38.5%) were females. Majority of the respondents were dentists 43 (66.2%). 32.3% reported better professional growth as the main reason for choosing periodontal profession. However, a vast majority of the respondents, 56.9% stated that working as a periodontist was their first choice. 49.3% of the respondents affirmed that they were pleased with the working environment as it was conductive and professional. Approximately, 73.9% of the periodontist were of the view that they had good relations with their patients. Conclusion: Job satisfaction among periodontists working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was adequate as majority of them displayed a positive attitude toward working environment, their profession, peers, and intrinsic and extrinsic factors related to periodontal profession. Clinical Significance: Job satisfaction plays a vital role in delivering standard quality health care. Dissatisfaction in job may lead to stress, anxiety, and/or depression leading to compromised health care facilities and patient satisfaction.

The purpose of this paper is to identify and evaluate which managerial style prevails in the operational area of five IT companies and their relationship with the job satisfaction of their employees. For data collection, a questionnaire was applied to 120 participants, validating 110 responses. Questions regarding the three factors of EAEG were integrated in order to identify the focus in which the leadership predominantly operates in these companies, and the five dimensions of EST were used to measure the level of employees satisfaction regarding each dimension evaluated. Descriptive statistical processing allowed to observe that the managerial style focused on the Task prevails, with an overall average score of vt = 4.11. As dispersion measures, the sample standard deviation (St = 0.39) and sample amplitude (At = 0.91) corresponding to this factor (Task) were calculated, respectively, showing that the values are very close to the average score. It indicates that there is uniformity between the scores for each item of the factor Task. It was found that 65 % of participants confirm the role of the leadership focused on the Task. The Satisfaction with the nature of work dimension reached an average score of vd = 5.09, showing employee satisfaction. The dimension Satisfaction with colleagues reached an average score of  vd = 4.34 indicating indifference on the level of satisfaction, whereas the dimensions Satisfaction with salary, promotions and leadership, reached averages of  vd = 3.87, vd = 3.70 and vd = 3.46, respectively, indicating levels of dissatisfaction. Finally, were highlighted some criteria as motivators for avoid turnover in organizations that contribute to the job satisfaction of these employees.

The article is devoted to the study of the personality determinants of persons with addictive behavior. The aim of the study is to identify the personality determinants of persons with addictive behavior. Research hypothesis - in persons with addictive behavior, there are differences depending on gender, length of use, the period of being in rehabilitation for certain personality traits. To write the article, empirical methods were used - free observation, analysis of isolated cases, conversation, questionnaires, testing according to the methods: the five-factor personality questionnaire McCrae - Costa ("Big Five"), the Shmishek questionnaire. Methods of statistical processing of empirical data were used to process the research results: comparative analysis of mean values and nonparametric statistical tests Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis. The study sample consisted of 20 clients of the rehabilitation center: men and women who use various psychoactive substances, with different experience of using substances and different periods of stay in rehabilitation. The article draws conclusions about the peculiarities of personal determinants in persons with additive behavior.

The purpose of the study is to establish a dialectical relationship, etymological features between the certainty of the procedural form of administrative proceedings and the level of protection of citizens 'rights in the resolution of Public Law disputes, the Prevention of abuse of citizens' rights in administrative proceedings, the weight of involving a judge in resolving disputes in separate proceedings. Methodology: in the implementation of this research, general and special methods of scientific knowledge were used: the method of system analysis, the dialectical method, the formal-logical method and the structural-functional method, as well as a number of empirical methods. Results: the authors came to the conclusion that there is no normative deterministic procedure for separate separate proceedings, which does not fit into the traditional logic on the methodological basis of the stages of administrative proceedings – dispute resolution procedures with the participation of a judge, restoration of lost proceedings and execution of court orders.
