Logistics has become increasingly important to business organizations for financial performance, therefore the aspect of value creation and evaluation of logistics services becomes more and more relevant. Customers require services that meet their subjective needs and one of the main directions of increasing the value of logistics services is the creation of additional services. The purpose of this study – identify trends in value creation for logistics services and assessment methods. The paper reviews the models of value creation for logistics services and generalizes the evaluation methods of valuation of logistics services. Research methodology: Review of scientific articles (1981 – 2018 m.). Scientific articles analyzing the theoretical aspects of the value creation of logistics services. The information is grouped and structured in order to identify the theoretical directions of the development of the value chain and the scope of service creation and to provide a theoretical summary of the evaluation of the value of logistics services.

The evaluation of the performance of business organizations is no longer limited to their financial performance or the achievement of their other objectives, but rather extends to the obligations and responsibilities of these organizations towards society in a complex and competitive environment. The Organization's practice of activities of a social nature is a voluntary ethical obligation to society and creates a state of interaction between Organization and its environment. Social responsibility has thus become one of the main objectives of business organizations and is taken into account in formulating the Organization's vision and mission as an objective that the Organization seeks to achieve and no less important than the Organization's goal of achieving profits and maximizing resources. As for the above, the current research dealt with four axes. The first axis dealt with the research methodology, the second axis dealt with the theoretical framework of the research, the third axis dealt with the results of the research, the fourth axis included the main conclusions and recommendations reached by the research

The research is devoted to the substantiation of the necessity of innovative transformations of the value chain of pharmaceutical enterprises. The current state of the international pharmaceutical market and its development scenarios developed by the WTO were analyzed, taking into account the changes caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The typology of value chains is considered and their element-by-element characteristics are given. A new, modern model of interaction in the chain of value creation of products is proposed. The substantiation of efficiency of creation of such chains is given. Based on the correlation analysis, the presence of a linear relationship between the indicators of Pharmaceutical R&D Spend and Revenue was established. To maximize the effect of R&D costs, pharmaceutical companies are recommended to carry out innovative transformations of the value chain, involving external manufacturers of high-tech devices, applications, etc.

Following the growing concerns on the inconsistent findings in previous research and drawing on the social exchange and networking theories, this study re-examined the impact of supply chain integration (SCI) on business performance (i.e. value creation and financial performance). The study argues that the impact of SCI on financial performance is through value creation and is depended upon longevity of product life cycle. Using primary data from 79 firms in Ghana, the study finds that value creation is a short-run consequence of SCI while financial performance is a long-run outcome of SCI. Additionally, results show that the financial performance outcome of SCI is experienced more from integrative efforts than from the value creation outcome. Results further indicate that firms whose products stay relatively shorter on the market are more likely to experience lower positive impact of SCI on value creation, and thus firms’ ability to become proactive, monitor, and collect market information on product performance throughout its life cycle is key for coming out with strategies that will enable them maximize product’s life span so as to experience greater benefits that come with pursuing integration with other channel members.

In order to remain successful, business organizations need to continuously adapt and respond to a changing environment. Rapid growth poses significant challenges to managers, not least with regard to maintaining the balance between efficiency and creativity in their organizations. Using the example of a wholesale company operating in the potted plants value chain in the lower Rhine valley, Germany, the case illustrates how the company was able to exploit the opportunities arising from the concentration in the value chain, and the necessity to adjust their organizational model in response to these changes. The case chooses the example of a small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) as such firms constitute the prevalent type of enterprises in Germany. Simultaneously, SMEs often find it particularly difficult to adapt their tangible and intangible resources to such changes. The current material is intended to help train future managers mastering this challenge.

Intangible assets disclosure, even with recent obligation, has brought benefits to companiesvalue and financial performance assistance. This study aims at analyzing the relationshipbetween financial performance, intangible assets disclosure and value creation withinBrazilian and Chilean information technology companies. In order to carry out the survey adescriptive analysis through both documentary research and quantitative approach wasused. Descriptive statistics analysis, t-test and Pearson's correlation helped confirm thatChilean companies disclose more intangible assets and make greater value through reachinggood results in financial performance. Thus, the higher the financial performance, the greaterthe value creation, and the greater the intangible assets disclosure within Chileaninformation technology companies.

Health services research is a multidisciplinary field which involves policy makers, health care providers, as well as quality outcomes professionals of the health services provided in an organizational setting to name some. Using qualitative research methodology to get insights of both the provider and patient experience down the pipeline can help strengthen what is lacking. Bridging the gap of translation research by not just surveys 1 might be an appropriate research methodology, however, inclusion of case studies, ethnographies might help stakeholders in the field, to visualize in depth phenomenon occurring in health services research field. Telly medicine, commercial digital health status trackr might be some of the inetrventions to improvise health care services, however, knowing what are the actual needs at individual level might efficiently help in redistribution of resources or policy laws. Recruiting for clinical trials through story telling communication technology2,3, might help in recruitment for novel drug therapies to explore possibilities, however, exploring the barriers to enroll for the clinical trials, or why the drug might work effectively in some cultural population and why not on others, can only be efficiently explored through qualitative research methodologies.

This chapter is designed to give the readers a concise understanding of supply chain strategies and the process involved in its formation. It is a background study on the changing role of supply chain in gaining competitive advantage for the firm. The chapter discusses on traceability and integration along a supply chain, its inception and the advantages to the corporate world through its implementation. The chapter focuses on the topic of value creation in a supply chain through strategic management decisions like vertical and horizontal integration. The value chain analysis model for competitive advantage is covered in this chapter. A discussion on the differences between vertical and horizontal integration systems and the best strategic decision among them is provided. As digitization becomes pervasive, many organizations struggle to drive value from the growing number of IT-related opportunities. We show how the drivers of IT value creation can be framed as firm-wide commitments to a set of IT capabilities. On the basis of 20 published case studies, we identify a small set of IT decisions that organizations must make to use IT to successfully enhance their impact. We group these decisions into a framework of four commitments. Making these commitments helps organizations reinforce what really matters over time, which in turn helps focus the attention of their employees. We demonstrate, via a survey of 210 publicly traded firms, that firms which are more effective in making these four commitments have higher business impact from IT, which in turn correlates with higher financial performance. We suggest the construct of commitment is a step toward unifying the IT value literature and creating an overarching concept that brings together many of the important management practices identified in previous work.

In this paper, the authors adapt a value chain analysis framework used in the music industry and apply it to the television industry, in order to probe the television value creation and distribution mechanisms and examine how they were affected by technology. More specifically, they examine how viewers can effectively become producers by repositioning themselves in the value chain and the implications of such a shift. Their discussion takes place in the context of a case study, that of Current TV, in order to illustrate in practice the opportunities and implications for the content producers, the broadcasters, and the viewers themselves.
