Private life it is essential is a right, along with other rights, shapes the human being, giving it value and identity. In this consensus, the legislator through the Romanian civil code sought to impose a series of deeds aimed at infringing on private life. Thus, the listed facts can be considered as violations of private life only subject to the presented of Civil Code (Romanian Civil Code, 2009). This means that the facts indicated in art. 74 of Civil Code they cannot be qualified under any circumstances as violations of private life, but only if they are not among the violations allowed by the international conventions and pacts ratified by Romania. More specifically, those acts do not attract civil liability (payment of compensation, etc.) if they have infringed the particular life allowed under the Convention and the jurisprudence of the ECHR. The private life must be protected and guaranteed by establishing and identifying actions that are prejudicial. The article is a study that in of regulations standards demonstrate violations of the right to life. Comparative development of ECHR case law pointed out that although there is a solid legislative framework, the right to life can be violated.

Due to the complexity of IT impacts and multiple interpretations of value, determining the IT value can be difficult. This paper introduces a conceptual framework for evaluating IT value within a single firm despite its complexity. Our research combines design science with an examination of five real-world scenarios. Using the conceptual framework, we may look at value from three different perspectives: 1) from the standpoint of diverse stakeholders, 2) from the perspective of valuing logics, and 3) from the perspective of assessment views. It’s important to consider all of these viewpoints because they help to build the foundation for understanding how specific value information might fulfill the demands of IT-related decision making and how to evaluate and communicate it. KEYWORDS: IT, conceptual framework, multifaceted, company

Managerial ambidexterity is an important precursor to managerial seizing ability. However, ambidexterity can impose substantial costs. Yet information systems may help reduce these costs. We develop a model that includes an inverted U-shaped relationship between managerial ambidexterity and seizing ability. We propose that a manager's effective use of management support systems will mitigate the decline in seizing ability at higher levels of ambidexterity. We test our model with data collected over two time periods from 172 managers. Our results support our model, thereby generating implications for research and practice in IT value, managerial ambidexterity, and dynamic managerial capabilities.

In this paper, we investigate how young people use social media. In particular, we analyse their narrative strategies and what is considered crucial in others’ social representation. This research study was carried out in the high schools of Reggio Calabria, a provincial capital medium-sized in the south of Italy. Using a survey, we investigate the everyday uses of the Internet technologies by girls and boys aged between fourteen and sixteen: their performed activities, the smartphone role in their family and peers relationships, the impact of the digital content on their behaviours. According to our findings, dichotomy interpretations of the digital ecosystem turn out to be misleading: people live consistently within both environments of an existence on-life. In the conclusions, we claim that we should not stigmatise this double environment lives, but understand and give it value.

Information Technology (IT) has been the main infrastructures in conducting businesses nowadays. IT had firstly emerged to automate business operations, in turn, IT has been able to make business operations more effective due to the nature of IT as a business enabler. Consequently, resource-based business efficiency is also the cornerstone of utilizing IT. Most recently, IT has become OTT (Over the Top), where IT is only the basic layer for conducting online business. In essence, the aforementioned estimations all still rely on qualitative estimates and are not yet based on quantitative estimates. This chapter wants to try to offer an IT value model whose value estimation can be done quantitatively using the Partial Adjustment Valuation (PAV) approach.

In this study, we propose probabilistic inference model on a hybrid IT value model using Bayesian Network (BN) that represents uncertain relationships between 13 variables of the model. Those variables are performance, market, innovation, IT support, core competence, capabilities, knowledge, human resources, IT development, IT resources, capital, labor, and IT spending. The relationships between variables in the model are determined using probabilistic approach, including the structure, nature, and direction of relationships. We derive a probabilistic graphical model and measure the relationships between variables. The results of this study shows that the probabilistic approach with Bayesian Network can show that capabilities and core competence are the most important variables to produce high performance output.

ABSTRACT Objectives To compare the primary stability of miniscrews after repeated cycles of insertion through insertion torque (IT) measurements and resonance frequency analysis (RFA). Materials and Methods Sixty titanium miniscrews were divided into two groups according to the insertion protocol: one with predrilled sites and the other self-drilled into porcine iliac crest bone specimens. Each group had three cycles of reinsertion. After each insertion, the IT and RFA were measured. The IT was measured by using a torque meter, and the RFA was measured using the Osstell ISQ device. A total of five miniscrews of each group were selected for sequential assessment of the morphology of their tip and threads using scanning electron microscopy after each insertion cycle. Results No statistically significant differences were found in the IT values of miniscrews reinserted up to three times in the group with predrilled surgical sites. The IT value increased significantly with the number of reinsertions in the self-drilled group. The RFA value decreased as the number of insertions increased in both groups. Conclusions Under the conditions of this in vitro study, reinserting miniscrews deteriorates the integrity of their tip and thread. Reinsertion should be discouraged particularly when insertion sites are not predrilled.

Background. As risk factor and cause of morbidity and mortality, smoking is close related with labor health. The early beginning in tobacco consumption and the high tobacco intensity consumption are determining several negative consequences over labor health and labor productivity too. Objective. To describe the incidence of smoking over the labor health. Matherials and methods. Was made a descriptive research about the incidence of smoking over the labor health. For that were used as theorical methods the historic – logic, the inductive – deductive and the comparative. As empiric method was used the bibliographic research. Results. A high smoking impact over the labor health determines leasing labor capability, leasing labor productivity and leasing social redistribution potentialities in favor to dependence social sectors no associated to the labor activity. Conclusions. Smoking saves a close relation with labor health. This risk factor act reducing it value since the epidemiologic, economic and social point o view.

The present work is aimed at investigating the chemicophysical properties of the interface between silicone oils (SOs) used in vitreoretinal surgery and aqueous solutions, in the presence of surfactant biomolecules. Such molecules are thought to play an important role in the formation of SO emulsions in vitrectomised eyes, in which the natural vitreous body has been replaced with a SO. In particular, we have measured the interfacial tension (IT) and the interfacial dilational viscoelasticity (DV) of the interface between SO (Siluron 1000) and serum proteins (albumin and γ-globulins) at various concentrations in a Dulbecco alkaline buffer. The equilibrium IT value is relevant for the onset of emulsification, and the DV influences the stability of an emulsion, once formed. The study is complemented by preliminary emulsification tests. The experimental results show that, when proteins are dissolved in the aqueous solution, the rheological properties of the interface change. The IT decreases significantly for physiological protein concentrations, and the DV modulus achieves high values, even for small protein concentrations. The emulsification tests confirm that, in the presence of proteins, emulsions are stable on the time scale of months. We conclude that the measured values of IT in the presence of serum proteins are compatible with the promotion of droplet formation, which, in addition, are expected to be stable against coalescence. Adsorption of biomolecules at the interface with the SO is, therefore, likely to play an important role in the generation of an emulsion in eyes subjected to vitrectomy. These findings are relevant to identify strategies to avoid or control the formation of emulsions in eyes.
