Purpose – to evaluate the results of proposed method of staged laparoscopic traction orchiopexy by Shehata on the basis of our own experience in the treatment of children with abdominal cryptorchidism. Materials and methods. During the period 2019–2021, 18 boys aged 9 months – 4 years were operated with staged laparoscopic traction orchiopexy procedure. Right unilateral abdominal cryptorchidism observed in 10 children, left – in 6, bilateral – in 2. Indications for the procedure were cases of intra-abdominal testicular retention with short vessels. Results. Pelvic and iliac retentions observed in 44% of cases. In 22% testicles were located close to the inner inguinal ring, in 33% the distance between testicle and inguinal canal opening reached 3–4 cm. The 2nd stage was carried out in 3 months. Successful orchiopexy was conducted then in 94% cases without any vascular tension. No cases of testicular dislocation or atrophy have been reported. The volume of operated testicles was smaller than the healthy ones in 78% cases objectively. Conclusions. The experience of Shehata operation showed good effect of the method for correction of abdominal cryptorchidism. Indications for staged laparoscopic traction orchiopexy are abdominal undescended testicles with insufficient length of vessels. The technique allows to achieve effective elongation of spermatic vessels in a short period of time and to minimize the risks of atrophy, compared with the 2-stage Fowler–Stephens operation. This study was conducted in accordance with the principles of the Helsinki Declaration. The research protocol was approved by the Local Ethics Committee of the institution mentioned in the work. Informed parental agreement was obtained for the research. No conflict of interests was declared by the authors. Key words: abdominal cryptorchidism, orchiopexy, staged treatment, Shehata procedure.

IntroductionAdopting a process-oriented framework for test validation can help to establish whether this tool has the potential to be an acceptable, valid and reliable indicator of depression for mothers and mothers-to-be. This mixed-methods research protocol seeks to explore the views and experiences of Aboriginal mothers and healthcare professionals in relation to the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), and is intended to highlight potential barriers in perinatal mental health conceptualisation, engagement and response style. Methods and analysisThematic analysis will be applied to interview transcripts of Aboriginal Australian mothers (n=6+) and healthcare professionals (n=6+) to identify key themes. The process-focused validation model will use narratives about experiences of using the EPDS as the priority point of analysis. Item-level data and process-level (experience) data are key phenomenological data. The interview-based narratives will be then compared with EPDS scores to check for points of congruence and divergence. This will be done at two time points, antenatally and postnatally, to assess changes in assessment processes and perceptions. Bridging evidence-based research with clinical practice in an Aboriginal Australian context will be facilitated by an investigation of the perceived cultural relevance and likely clinical effectiveness of EPDS. Such evidence is critical to understanding whether the EPDS fulfils its intended purpose. The guiding principles in designing this research protocol is to benefit the well-being of young Aboriginal families and communities through partnership with Aboriginal women.Ethics and disseminationEthics approval was obtained from Human Research Ethics Committee of Murdoch University and from Western Australian Aboriginal Health Ethics Committee (WAAHEC). Participating healthcare sites and services have provided letters of support. Results of this study will be submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

The environmental changes on short-period stages of the Late Glacial were reconstructed based on pollen data of peat-bog Pidluzhia deposits and their radiocarbon dating. There are the Older and Younger Dryas, the Allerod (three phases) are allocated on palynological data in the Late Glacial. Vegetation had evolved from cold meadows to pine forest during this time. The transition from the Late Glacial to the Holocene was identified by the emergence of broad-leaved trees (elm, oak and linden), the spreading of spruce and disappearance of xerophytic elements. Key words: paleovegetation, paleoclimate, palinology, the Late Glacial, the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains.

Abstract Introduction Cognitive deficit is a common syndrome of methamphetamine (MA) dependence. It is related to decision-making, control ability, and social functioning. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a training technique that requires people to work out at full intensity during a short period. Many studies have already shown the potential effects of HIIT on cognitive functions. The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the cognitive effects of HIIT on individuals with MA dependence. Methods and analysis A total of 240 individuals with MA dependence will be randomly assigned to the HIIT group, moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT) group and control (CON) group. HIIT will consist of a 24-min HIIT exercise on a treadmill. MICT will consist of a 1-h body–mind exercise. CON will be their traditional intervention. The experimental period will be 12 months with 3 interventions weekly for the first 6 months and follow-up for the next 6 months. All subjects will be given cognitive tests at baseline, after intervention and at follow-up. Cognitive performances will be compared by a mixed-model analysis for repeated measures. Discussion HIIT training may reduce illicit drug cravings amongst individuals with MA dependence; hence, HIIT may have a good effect on the cognitive functions, such as memory and executive function, of individuals with MA dependence. Optimizing manufacturing process modeling is critical to improving the efficiency and quality of manufacturing. However, manufacturing processes in general can be very complicated. A manufacturing process may involve (a) transforming a material into a new form, (b) combining different materials to form a new object, and (c) retrieving a certain part from a material as a new entity. All those activities could be confusing because many intermediate objects that exist only for a short period during the manufacturing process may have no formal names. To solve this problem, this paper proposes that composition trees (CT) can be successfully used to model manufacturing processes. Composition trees are parts of the formal notation in behavior engineering (BE), which is an innovative approach to the development of large software systems. For a composition tree, its characteristics of being intuitive, expressive and formal give it many advantages over other formal and informal modeling languages in software engineering. This paper uses a cooking case study to demonstrate how to use a composition tree model manufacturing processes. It is argued that the method could be applied to process engineering to good effect.

Abstract Among methods of concentrating rubber latex, the creaming process has, quite independently of the evaporation and centrifuge processes, aroused increasing interest because of its special technical features. The tendency of the rubber particles in latex to cream as a result of the difference in specifie gravity of the rubber and serum is a phenomenon which has been known for a long time. Hancock himself observed that when latex is stored, displacements in the concentration take place and he proposed to utilize this phenomenon in the preparation of very pure rubber particularly free of colored impurities. In 1824 Hancock suggested that rubber latex be diluted with water to one-fourth its concentration and the serum removed after a short period of standing. By repeating this process several times, a particularly pure product was said to result. In 1826 Faraday too described the same process. However, the displacements in concentration which become evident in latices which have stood for a long time without the addition of any creaming agent do not lead to any clearly defined layers. The first important observation on the spontaneous separation of two phases in latex by the addition of definite substances was by Traube. Among the substances described by Traube were colloidal mucilages such as gum tragacanth, soluble extract of Irish moss, etc.

Objective: to increase the efficiency and safety of the treatment of the bronchi secretory-evacuation disorders in acute bronchitis with impaired respiratory function in children by using a medication with minimal effect on the cardiovascular system. Materials and methods. Under observation were 60 children aged 6 to 11 years. 2 observation groups were formed (30 children in each group): 1st group — children receiving the Bronchipret® for 10 days with acute bronchitis with impaired respiratory function; 2nd group — children who do not receive the Bronchipret in acute bronchitis with impaired respiratory function. Results. In the group of patients taking Bronchipret®, in addition to faster clinical dynamics, according to spirography, there was an improvement in the parameters of the external respiration function, characterizing the obstructive component of the obstruction of the air flow. After therapy with Bronchipret®, normalization of the functioning of the autonomic nervous system and the predominance of eutonia were observed against the background of a decrease in the number of registration of parasympathicotonia. Conclusion. The good tolerance and safety of Bronchipret® during 7-day use in patients aged 6–11 years allows us to recommend this drug as a highly effective treatment for bronchi secretory-evacuation disorders in acute bronchitis in children. The research was carried out in accordance with the principles of the Helsinki Declaration. The study protocol was approved by the Local Ethics Committee of participating institution. The informed consent of the patient was obtained for conducting the studies. No conflict of interest was declared by the authors. A. Bashlachev’s poetry reflects the historical background of Russia in 1970-1990s, the world perception of rock generation, the thirst for spiritual growth. Artistic identity of the poet who grew up on Russian mythological and folklore traditions, reliance on legacy of Russian literature shaped his individuality within a short period of time. With all its transparency his discourse becomes figurative and symbolic, requires deep plunge into the background of the era and philosophical evaluation. A. Bashlachev transforms his poems into the myth-like texts-codes. He makes his way from rational to irrational. These are magic meanings assigned to the poetics of the key words “bell” and “small bell” as reflected in the poem “The time of bells”. From verse to verse A. Bashlachev brings together discovered keys relying on historical and domestic truth contributing to their existential meanings - Life, People, Russia - with everyday and natural issues - poets who are able to meet the challenges of Time. It is this very understanding of the idioimages - Bell and Poets - that leads the rock-poet to the final of his search for the Name of Names.

- Husserl's discussions of imagination are mostly concentrated within a rather short period of time (between 1904 and 1911), after which they dwindle to re-emerge only sporadically. Yet in those few years Husserl elaborated a conception of imagination and of its two different kinds (image-consciousness and phantasy) which seems still largely unstudied. The main aim of this article is to discuss the difference between the two modalities of imagination, as well as the difference between the two of them and perception. Some crucial aspects are here brought to light: a "contrast" between perception and imagination, and the difference in kind between image- consciousness and phantasy. In the first instance, the contrast is of spatial nature. In the second instance, the difference is temporal. The latter theme introduces the great question of the temporal life of transcendental consciousness and of its possible original duality.Key words: Image, Phantasy, Phenomenology, Space, Subject, Time, TranscendentalParole chiave: Fantasia, Fenomenologia, Immagine, Soggetto, Spazio, Tempo, Trascendentale.

Abstract Background The capacity of the Research Ethic Committee (REC) members to review research protocol is one of the frequently raised problems. The purpose of this study was to assess training needs of members of research ethics committee in Cameroon regarding research participant protection. Methods It was a cross-sectional descriptive study conducted in all the regions of Cameroon during the last quarter of the year 2020, assessing training needs of REC members’ ethical evaluation of health research protocols. Data were collected from all eligible REC members by trained and supervised surveyors using a well designed questionnaire integrated in smartphones via ODK-collect. The data were analyzed by estimating proportions with 95% Confidence Interval using the EpiInfo software version 7.2.2.6.Findings Out of the 79 ethics committee members reached, 64 (81.01%) accepted to participate including 28 (43.75) female. The result showed that,21 (32.81%) of ethics committee members were not trained in research ethics evaluation including 68.75% not exposed to training on research participants protection during clinical trials. A given fraction of respondent was not aware of the existence of key national regulations (25%) and international guidelines like the Helsinki Declaration (32.81%). Participants identified and ranked their priorities in terms of training needs in research participant’s protection, national text regulating research in Cameroon, evaluations’ procedures of research protocol, organization of research in Cameroon, and protection of participants in research involving the transfer of biological materials. The workshop and e-learning courses were seen to be the main accessible source of training. Conclusion Not all ethics committee members received training on ethical principles regarding research ethics review, review process and monitoring of research protocols, and on ethical issues associated to each study design including clinical trials. These gaps and the needs perceived by participants are to be taken into account when setting up a training program for RECs members on ethical evaluation in Cameroon.
