ABSTRACTThis Classroom Action Research is motivated by the results of observations carried out in IP Assalam B2 Kindergarten group shows that the receptive language skills of children are still not achieved, especially in listening skills, for example there are still many children who have not paid close attention to learning, the researchers decided to conduct research using a serial picture story book. The book can cause great attraction for children and can also facilitate children's understanding. By reading a storybook with a serial image, the ability to listen to children will be well honed, children can interpret and retell what is in the story. This study aims to improve the ability of teachers to plan learning, implement learning and improve children's listening skills. The model used in this study is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) model with Suharsimi Arikunto model consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Based on the results of the study showed an increase, this is evidenced by the increase in the ability of teachers in planning learning, the ability of teachers to carry out learning, the ability of teachers in carrying out learning using serial images and children's abilities in listening skills and other child development such as cognitive aspects, social emotional, physical motor, and religion. Obstacles faced by researchers when learning include the conditioning of children, appreciation in conveying stories and the use of descriptions of appropriate language for children. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil observasi yang dilaksanakan di kelompok B2 TK IP Assalam menunjukan belum tercapainya keterampilan reseptif anak khususnya pada kemampuan menyimak, contohnya masih banyak anak yang pada pembelajaran belum memerhatikan secara seksama, peneliti memutuskan untuk melakukan penelitian menggunakan buku  cerita gambar berseri. Buku tersebut dapat menimbulkan daya tarik yang besar bagi anak juga dapat mempermudah pemahaman anak. Dengan cara membacakan buku cerita gambar berseri kemampuan menyimak anak akan terasah dengan baik, anak dapat menafsirkan dan menceritakan kembali apa yang ada dalam cerita tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam merencanakan pembelajaran, melaksanakan pembelajaran dan meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak anak. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Suharsimi Arikunto yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi serta refleksi. Berdasarkah hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan, hal ini dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya kemampuan guru dalam merencanakan pembelajaran, kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan buku cerita gambar berseri serta kemampuan anak dalam keterampilan menyimak serta perkembangan anak yang lain seperti aspek kognitif, sosial emosional, fisik motorik, dan agama. Hambatan yang dihadapi peneliti saat pembelajaran meliputi pengkondisian anak, penghayatan dalam menyampaikan cerita serta penggunaan uraian bahasa yang tepat untuk anak.

Background this study is the most difficult children tell in their own words about the practice or an event that happened, for example when they told me about their experiences. Their most difficult child listening to the teacher. The purpose of this research is to improve the language skills of children aged 5-6 years. This research is a classroom action research on language skills (speaking and listening) the method of playing the role of children in TK Kartika 1-4 Pekanbaru. The results of this research note that the language skills of children which consists of speaking and listening skills has increased in each cycle. This is supported by: (1) initial score on the aspect of speaking proficiency by 55, while the listening skills of 53.9; (2) in the first cycle 1 meeting speaking ability 64.4. At the meeting of 2 speech at 75. The ability to listen to the meeting 1 for 60. At the second meeting amounted to 68.9; (3) the second cycle of meetings 1 speech at 82.8. At the second meeting of 90.6. The ability to listen to the first meeting of 82.8. At the second meeting of 90.6. The implication of this research is the teachers should inculcate the concept of activity implementation methods play a role to improve the language skills of children. This is done so inspires something that exists within the child so that the child's proficiency in speaking and listening can be achieved with good.

[Bahasa]: Penguasaan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa resmi internasional merupakan tuntutan bagi siswa agar mampu bersaing di era globalisasi. Masyarakat di daerah destinasi wisata seperti Lombok membutuhkan penguasaan Bahasa Inggris yang baik agar memudahkan mereka untuk mencari lapangan pekerjaan. Oleh karenanya siswa di sekolah harus mendapatkan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris yang baik agar memiliki kompetensi yang memadai. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis narasi bahasa Inggris bagi siswa kelas IX melalui pemanfaatan gambar berseri. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah dengan pengabdian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan partisipan sebanyak 24 siswa kelas IX. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media gambar berseri dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis naratif dalam Bahasa Inggris. Kata kunci: gambar berseri, bahasa Inggris, kemampuan menulis [English]: Mastery of English as an official international language is a demand for students to be able to compete in the era of globalization. The residents in tourist destination areas such as Lombok need to master good English in order to be easier in finding jobs. Therefore students in schools must get good English learning in order to have adequate competence. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the ability to write English narratives for students of class IX through the use of serial images. The method used was classroom action research with 24 students as participants in IX grade. This study aims to improve 5-6-year-children’s language skills through scrambled wordplay in TK Methodist Binjai. This research was conducted because there were problems with the lack of children's language skills in recognizing letters and words. This research was a classroom action research. The subjects in this study were 15 children of B-1 TK Methodist Binjai consisting of 4 boys and 11 girls. The object in this study was the language ability to recognize letters through scrambled wordplay. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation by filling in the observation table of the observed activities. This research was conducted in 2 (two) cycles. The results showed that the activity of playing scrambled words can improve children's language skills in recognizing letters and words. The results of observation in the first cycle obtained 46% of children who developed according to expectations and in the second cycle increased to 67% of children who developed as expected followed by 33% of children who developed very well. This showed that the activity of playing scrambled words to improve children's language skills in recognizing letters and words have been successful.

The objectives of this classroom action research is to describe and explain the process of learning to begin with through picture stories in BA ‘Aisyiyah Sidoharjo. This type of research is collaborative classroom action research. The research model used is Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The subjects of this class action research were group B students in BA ‘Aisyiyah sidoharjo, amounting to 17 children consisting of 10 boys and 7 girls. The object of this research is the skill of beginning reading in children through pictorial story media The data analysis technique was carried out with qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results of research on the beginning of reading activities showed an increase, it can be seen from the results of the initial activity before the action showed 5.89%, an increase of 17.63% in Cycle I to 23.52%, and an increase of 65% so that it reached 88 , 23% in Cycle II. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the activity of learning to begin reading with picture stories can improve the skills of beginning reading in children.  Keywords: Early Ready, Picture story, Early Childhood

The condition that occurs in the classroom is that students are afraid of English. Students feel that learning English is difficult to memorize. Students have learning difficulties because the teacher does not apply a suitable learning model for students. This causes students to feel bored in learning and has an impact on students' low English skills. The purpose of this study is to analyze the shadowing technique in learning English for students. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were 17 students. There are four main parts of classroom action research, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The methods used to collect data are observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The study results are the average value, from 73.2 in the first cycle to 76.0 in the second cycle. The percentage of students who passed the KKM also increased from 59% to 78%. Listening skills improve after the application of shadowing techniques. The key is that the application of shadowing techniques can improve students' listening. This research implies that teachers can apply shadowing techniques in the classroom. The application of shadowing techniques can create a fun learning atmosphere for students to improve students' listening skills.

This study aims at (1) seeking whether or not crafting media is able to enhance students’ English vocabulary of fourth grade at SDIT Anak Sholeh Mataram and (2) elaborating on how Craftingmedia is implemented to enhance students’ English vocabulary of fourth grade at SDIT Anak Soleh Mataram. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) with test, observation, and documentation as the instruments of gaining data. Based on data findings, the mean score of pretest was 80.7 and posttest was 88.9. This significant gap in scores between pretest and posttest (8.2) implied there had been enhancement in students’ English vocabulary achievement as the students were taught by using Crafting media. Crafting media was implemented through several related phases which presented students’ direct and active selves-involvement to pump up the students’ learning motivation to recognize various objects their surroundings. Thus, it can be concluded that Crafting media is able to enhance students’ English vocabulary learning of fourth grade at SDIT Anak Sholeh Mataram. Furthermore, Crafting also could help the students drive their motor and language skills. Therefore, it is expected that English teachers use Crafting media as an alternative teaching media to enhance students’ vocabulary in the English class learning.

<p><em>Listening has a fundamental function of life including the preschoolers. Human use more time of listening activities for about 50%, while the rest 50% are used for speaking, reading, and writing. Listening activities should begin early for children in all situations. But,it is not in line with the </em><em>listening </em><em>ability of group A children in Kindergarten SitiKhodijahPucukLamongan. </em><em>They </em><em>have some difficulties when </em><em>being </em><em>asked by </em><em>the </em><em>teacher to listen to information given. Listening is a tedious activity for children, especially preschoolers. It is necessary to have similar material and interesting way to practice listening skills in preschoolers.</em></p><p><em>According</em><em> to the problem, </em><em>the research questions are formulated as follows</em><em> (1) How the application of storytelling method to improve the listening ability of children group A in Kindergarten SitiKhodijahPucukLamongan?, (2</em><em>)</em><em> How to improve the listening ability through the storytelling method of group </em><em>A</em><em>children in Kindergarten SitiKhodijahPucukLamongan? On the </em><em>first </em><em>cycle</em><em>the </em><em>percentage of children who </em><em>are able based on criteria of</em><em> Exponential Developing Criteria (BSH) reaches 33.33% while in the </em><em>second </em><em>cycle</em><em>the </em><em>percentage of children </em><em>who are able</em><em> increase</em><em>s</em><em> to 83.33%</em><em>. Based on</em><em> the result of this study, it can be concluded that the method of storytelling can improve the </em><em>listening </em><em>ability o</em><em>f</em><em> children group A in Kindergarten SitiKhodijahPucukLamongan.</em><em></em></p>

The low of listen ability in children aged 5-6 years is the background of this action research, so this research aims to improve these abilities. One method that has proven to be effective solve that problem is the method of storytelling with a big book. Data on classroom action research was collected using observation techniques and analyzed in quantitative descriptive. This study involved ten students as participants. The result of the study showed that storytelling with a big book can improve the listening skill of 5-6 years old children in PAUD Bintang Mutiara, Pekanbaru. Before applying storytelling method with big book, the participants’ listening skill was categorized as ‘has not been developed”. After applying the storytelling method with big book, their listening skill was categorized as “Developed as expected” with a score of 71.67%. The improvement of participants’ listening skill from ‘pre-cycle’ to ‘cycle 1’ was 21%. From cycle I to cycle II, their listening skill was improved by 64%. From pre-cycle to cycle II, the improvement was 89%. Overall, the improvement of listening skills was 75.56%.

This study aims to improve language skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing) KPI Study Program students Semester VI 2017/2018 Academic Year, Da'wah and Communication Department, IAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung through reportage techniques. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The design in PTK consists of three cycles in which there are four components in each cycle, namely planning, implementing actions, results of actions, and reflection. In this CAR, researchers used the Elliot model with modifications. This research is the result of learning from the Indonesian Language Discourse course for KPI. The subjects in this study were the sixth semester students of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program (KPI) totaling 9 students. The results showed that in the first cycle, the average grade was 74.66 with a fairly good category. In cycle II students' language skills experienced a slight increase. This can be seen from the average grade, which is increased to 79.66 with a good enough category. The increase in the average grade from cycle I to cycle II is 5.00. In cycle III there was a significant increase with 85.77 class average value. Language skills in cycle III can be categorized as good. As for increasing the average grade from cycle II to cycle III, which is 6.11.

Abstract. Listening is a receptive language competence named as the beginning of the catching on information, and it will be helpfully on the ideas developing. This study is a classroom action research (CAR) and aimed at German listening competence increase of students by implementing the NURS teaching model. NURS is an abbreviation of Nature, Unique, Relevant, and Situational. It is a didactic, constructively, metacognitive, humanly, intercultural, instructional, and technological-based learning procedure. Kemmis and Taggar model consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection for every cycle, was utilized to implement this CAR in the German educational department at the Faculty of Language and Literature 25 students in the second semester as the research sample with two circles. The syllabus, teaching plan, student activity sheet, and listening formative test were implemented as the research instrument. The data analyzed by using percentage techniques. The result shows that the average student's German listening competence in the first cycle is 46. After they learned in the second, they could not be in minimum score standard 75 because their average score is 61. Their competence percentage increased by 35.16% to 81.16. Another important thing about using the NURS teaching model on learning German is the positive effect on the teacher's teaching skills, like management of teaching, time, and how to make students more enthusiastic during the learning process. It can be concluded that the NURS teaching model can improve the student's German listening competence in the German educational department at the Faculty of Language and Literature of Makassar State University. Keywords: Classroom Action Research, NURS Teaching Model, German, Listening Competence
