<em>This study was set out of curiosity to know what kind of the perception of elementary school teachers, in understanding and implementing classroom action research (CAR) to solve pedagogical-didactical problems that faced in the learning process. By survey method, this study is conducted to 63 the primary school teachers from first grade class up to sixth grade one, derived from the three districts/city in West Java Province. In general, can be described that all teachers stated how important CAR is, but most feel still constrained in implementing it. </em>

The arrival of foreign cultures due to globalization will be able to fade the culture of local communities if there is no selection process. Selection process can be done if a nation has a strong character foundation The 2013 curriculum as a reference for education in Indonesia has been emphasizing eighteen characters derived from local wisdom that need to be integrated in the teaching and learning process. The current study intended to explore the believe of primary school teachers on integrating Balinese local value called Tri Hita Karana in teaching character education. This study was a survey study followed by 94 elementary school teachers. The results show that elementary school teachers in Buleleng, Bali are aware of the significances of inserting the values of Tri Hita Karana in the learning process, they believe that the Tri Hita Karana concept is very much in accordance with the values of character education, and the integration of Tri Hita Karana values into the teaching and learning process will strengthen the students’ character and national identity.

The purpose of this study is mainly to describe the performance of primary school teachersin the unit of education technical implementation in Banyumanik, Semarang. This researchwas conducted in January- August 2017. The sample of this research is 162 primaryschool teachers selected by random sampling technique in order to get the same opportunityas sample. The instruments used in this study were the assessment sheets, the RatingSheet consisted of 64 items of question, and 3 indicators of Primary School TeacherPerformance. The results show that each of Implementation of lesson plans is categorizedvery well (90, 9%), the execution of the learning is 83.4%, assessment of learning is good(82.8%). The Overall performance of primary school teachers is categorized good( 85 , 7 % ). In other words, the primary school teachers of the unit of education technicalimplementation in Banyumanik Semarang can arrange the lesson plans, carry out learningand teaching process and assess the learning process in elementary school.

<em>The purpose of this service is to train primary school teachers in Surakarta city to have the ability to optimize the role of a teacher to involve parents and the community in the implementation of learning so that specifically this activity aims to train teachers to have the ability to compile contact books and worksheets. The method used in this service begins the Workshop, Practices, and Implementation. In conducting this training, subjects were asked to work on tests related to the preparation of connection books and worksheets for elementary school teachers. Analysis of the data used is pre-test and post-test. The results of this activity were an increase in teacher's knowledge and understanding of the preparation of connection books and worksheets</em>

The purpose of this article is to find out the perceptions of primary school teachers on the use of Swishmax applications for the development of instructional media. Teachers' perceptions of the use of Swishmax applications for the development of instructional media are closely related to student learning achievement. Learning media generated with Swishmax applications that match the students' wishes will keep them motivated in learning. This article analyzes the data done descriptively. The data obtained in this article comes from questionnaire data and unstructured interview data. The result of this article is the perception of Swishmax's use for the development of instructional media by elementary school teachers in positive category. The purpose of the desired activity is to introduce ways of using and making reading media and the application of lead reading strategies for elementary school teachers in Kabupaten Bantaeng because most primary school teachers have difficulty in making media read and implementing appropriate strategies for students regarding reading. This is due to the lack of media availability and how to use it is not equipped. The method used in the service is the delivery of material in lectures and demonstrations, the practice of making teaching aids by the participants, and the practice of using the teaching aids by groups of participants. The product produced during service is read media.

This study aims to determine the problems experienced by teachers during Covid-19 pandemic in which teachers must conduct online learning. This research is a descriptive study using online survey method. The data was collected using online questionnaires to 64 respondents of elementary school teachers. It was found that 98% of the primary school teachers respondents has conducted online learning during Covid-19 pandemic, and 1 teacher did not use online model. The information obtained is that 100% of the teacher is doing online model (in the network) learning. More than 9 medias used by elementary school teachers in Bantul district during the pandemic were offered namely WhatsApps, WhatsApp Web, Google Classroom, Google Group, TeamLink, Microsoft Teams, Kaizala Microsoft, Zoom Meeting & Webinar, Youtube, Google Hangouts, and others. 100% of teachers or as many as 64 teachers are learning with WhatsApps application as the first choice. Furthermore, 15% of teachers use some application supporters of WhatsApp. Google Class is the second option. The third option is Google form as much as 12% or 8 teachers. The use of Google Form is for students’ worksheets. The fourth choice is YouTube with as many as 7% or 5 teachers. Short videos related to the material being taught in 10-20 minutes. The fifth application is the Zoom Cloud Meeting for only 3% or 2 teachers who chose this platform.

Information literacy is a skill needed to search, analyze and utilize information. So that information literacy is a very important ability that is owned by a person, especially in the world of education, in this case elementary school teachers because at this time all people are faced with various types of information resources that are developing very rapidly, but not necessarily all the information that is available and created can be trusted and in accordance with the information needs of information seekers. Based on direct observations made by the team proposing the Community Partnership Program (PKM) in partner primary schools found data and information that the information literacy skills of elementary school teachers are still below the standards of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL). This information literacy standard lists a number of abilities used in determining a person's ability to understandinformation. Seeing the problem of information literacy ability of partner elementary school teachers is still below the ACRL standard, the proposer team will utilize multimedia as one solution to improve information literacy skills of partner primary school teachers. The advantage of using multimedia the most prominent is interactivity which means that this media inherently forces users to interact with the material. This interaction varies from the simplest to the complex. This program will be implemented for elementary school teachers in Aceh Besar District. The objectives of this program are (1) through this mentoring activity it is believed that it can increase the repertoire of knowledge of primary school teachers regarding information literacy capacity building programs, (2) Through mentoring activities will improve elementary school teacher information literacy skills based on the standards of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) through multimedia utilization. (3) Develop the skills of elementary school teachers in designing simple information literacy media that are easy to make and applicable to the learning presented.   Abstrak Literasi informasi merupakan suatu keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk mencari, menganalisis dan memanfaatkan informasi. Sehingga literasi informasi merupakan kemampuan yang sangat penting dimiliki seseorang terutama pada dunia pendidikan, dalam hal ini guru sekolah dasar karena pada saat ini semua orang dihadapkan dengan berbagai jenis sumber informasi yang berkembang sangat pesat, namun belum tentu semua informasi yang ada dan diciptakan tersebut dapat dipercaya dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan informasi para pencari informasi. Berdasarkan observasi secara langsung yang dilakukan oleh tim pengusul Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) pada sekolah dasar mitra ditemukan data dan informasi bahwa kemampuan literasi informasi guru sekolah dasar masih dibawah standar Association Of College and Research Libraries (ACRL). Standar literasi informasi ini berisi daftar sejumlah kemampuan yang digunakan dalam menentukan kemampuan seseorang dalam memahami informasi. Melihat permasalahan kemampuan literasi informasi guru sekolah dasar mitra masih dibawah standar ACRL tersebut, maka tim pengusul akan memanfaatkan multimedia sebagai salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi informasi guru sekolah dasar mitra. Keunggulan dari pemanfaatan multimedia yang paling menonjol adalah interaktivitas yang artinya media ini secara inheren memaksa pengguna untuk berinteraksi dengan materi. Interaksi ini bervariasi dari yang paling sederhana hingga yang kompleks. Program ini akan dilaksanakan pada guru sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Adapun tujuan dari program ini adalah (1) Melalui kegiatan pendampingan ini diyakni dapat menambah khasanah pengetahuan guru sekolah dasar mengenai program peningkatan kemampuan literasi informasi, (2) Melalui kegiatan pendampingan akan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi informasi guru sekolah dasar berdasarkan standar Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) melalui pemanfaatan multimedia. (3) Mengembangkan keterampilan guru sekolah dasar dalam mendesain media literasi infromasi sederhana yang mudah dibuat dan aplikatif dengan pembelajaran yang disajikan. The article reveals the key stages of the formation of professional competencies of students of specialty “Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education” in the reform of the educational process, justifies the understanding of the term “competence”, special attention is paid to various aspects of the definition of the concept. The characteristic features of global changes associated with the urgent need of society in intellectual, creative individuals with critical thinking skills are highlighted and described. In this regard, the main task of universities is the orientation of the educational process towards modernization, which consists in changing the role of the teacher, applying new approaches to the organization of the educational process, using modern educational technologies, contributing to the formation of students' competencies required in their future professional activities. The authors point out a number of topical issues related to the problem of forming professionally oriented communicative competence of future primary school teachers. The main content of the study is the analysis of the author's experience of enhancing the educational process in elementary school and the organization of conditions for the formation of professional competencies of future professionals required in the learning process, generalized educational technology, which is very relevant in the university. Based on the study of this problem conclusion was made that a renewed understanding and formation of professional and general cultural competencies of future specialists should consist not only of professional knowledge, but also general human values in general. The article presents the criteria of forming professional and communicative competences of students in higher education institution. According to the results of the study, the authors’ vision of intensifying the learning process and the formation of professional competencies of students, which they need in their future profession, is presented. Pedagogical conditions contributing to the effective formation of communicative competence of a future elementary school teacher are revealed.

This study aims to: (1) determine the extent to which the ability padagogik competence, and (2) labor discipline, for primary teachers in Pundong, Bantul. The entire study population of primary school teachers who already bersertikat educators in Pundong, Bantul, until 2012, of which there are 103 people. The research subject is determined based on the amount that is 25% of the members of the population, ie 30 persons (quota sampling), and determined by the draw of the names of elementary school teachers who received a certificate of education (random sampling). Methods of data collection using the guided interview techniques, to determine the understanding of elementary school teachers to implement pedagogical competence and extent of learning. To get the work discipline of data collection techniques used in the work of the observation of the implementation of primary school teachers. Researchers and research instruments made tested on primary school teachers in the district Bambanglipuro, Bantul many as 12 people. The validity of the instrument using content validity (content validity) and reliability of the instrument using a product moment, corrected Zumun Spearman - Brown. Both proved to be a reliable research instrument (r xy = 0.90)> rtabel (N = 12) for pedagogical instrument, and 0.759> rtabel 5% = 0.576). So the instrument can be used for data collection, because it was proven realibel. Data were analyzed using quantitative methods percentage. The results of the data analysis for variable pedagogic work well (70%), whereas for work discipline variables proved to be very good (83%). Suggested further enhanced awareness of elementary school teachers who are already certified educators, to be grateful for the teachers welfare state, through capacity building pedagogical competence and work discipline, so as to improve the quality of learning and lead to the improvement of education quality.

Metacognitive skill is essential to have by every individual, including the prospective teachers' students. Some teachers who have not trained in metacognitive ability would be caused by the lack of understanding of the stages in carrying out metacognitive ability. It has not realised that metacognitive ability can affect students' learning process and learning outcome. The students who have the excellent metacognitive ability can develop metacognitive domain-oriented learning. This study aims to know the metacognitive skills of prospective primary school teachers in Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. This research used a quantitative approach to descriptive type and survey method. The samples are 100 students of elementary school educations of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan consisted of the semester II, IV, and VI. The instrument used Metacognitive Ability Inventory (MAI) with the Likert scale(1-5). Data were analysed using descriptive statistics to determine the Mean, standard deviation, percentage, and metacognitive categorisation of elementary school education students. The research result showed a low-medium range category. It influenced by some factors related to the inadequate metacognitive development of prospective primary school teachers. Judging from the cognitive knowledge aspect, the high category of the percentage calculation of cognitive knowledge aspects is in the declarative knowledge aspect. In the cognitive regulation aspect, planning becomes the highest percentage of cognitive regulation aspect.
