The problem of personal projects is brought to the forefront of scientific research by the very process of renewing a modern transitive society, which requires young people to be independent and responsible for their decisions and life choices. In this connection, the purpose of the research presented in the paper is to study the differences in the connections between the indicators of personal projects and the life-meaning orientations of the individual at the stages of adolescence and youth. The sample consisted of 148 people (64 boys and 84 girls aged 16 to 30). In use were used: the methodology Analysis of personal projects (B.R. Little in the adaptation of E.Yu. Ryazantseva), as well as the test of life-meaning orientations. Statistical analysis was performed in SPSS (version 22) using the Mann Whitney U test (for metric variables). The identification of links between metric indicators was carried out using correlation analysis (Spearmans coefficient). It was shown that a relationship was found between the indicators of personal projects (difficulty, visibility, control, responsibility, values, time adequacy, autonomy) and life-meaning orientations. At the age of 1617, young people are oriented towards outside support. For young people aged 18-25, the search for their identity becomes significant, where both the support of relatives and friends and their inner resources are important. At an older age (2630 years), the degree of individual independence in the implementation of their projects increases, the dependence on socio-cultural resources decreases, the number of connections between personal projects and indicators increases: goals in life, locus of control life.

With the mass introduction of computers in the workplace researchers have spent considerable time, over the last two decades, investigating methods to effectively integrate this technology into the daily routines of employees at all levels within the organization [1–3]. An exogenous variable, and precursor to introduction of computers, is computer anxiety [4–6]. Computer anxiety is generally defined as an anxious response by the individual to the anticipated or actual contact with computers [7]. This article examined the relationship of cognitive appraisal, locus of control, prior exposure, and computer anxiety. It was hypothesized that an individual's appraisal of a computing situation, whether the person was internally or externally focused, and their prior experience with computers would affect their level of computer anxiety as measured by the Computer Concerns Questionnaire. A stepwise multiple regression was performed and the results indicated that cognitive appraisal and exposure were significant predictors of computer anxiety. The authors conclude that early assessments of a novice user's appraisal of the situation should be used to tailor training programs to the specific individual's needs.

This study evaluates relationships between job performance, locus of control, and cultural values. Survey data was collected from 265 managers working for UScontrolled firms located in the US, Hong Kong, South Korea and Mexico. Findingsindicate that there is a stronger relationship between reported job performance and amanager’s personality versus the manager’s culture. These results should help multinationalfirms better understand a significant influence on the job performance ofmid-level managers working in different countries. US controlled, manufacturingmultinational firms can feel confident when designing management control systemsat the individual level regardless of the country in which they operate.

Based on the temperature monitoring data and PM10 concentration data in Longyan city of Fujian Province between 2006 and 2009, the relationship of temperature changes and characteristics of PM10 pollution in the region were analyzed. Using the method of variance analysis and correlation analysis, we conducted a series of statistical analysis on temperature and PM10 concentration in order to find the relationship between them. The results showed that temperature in Longyan city was high in summer and low in winter. The PM10 pollution was more serious in winter. The results also showed that PM10 concentration had a highly negative correlation with the average temperature.

This article deals with the problem of the relationship of resilience with the coping behaviour of young people. It justifies the idea that the adaptability and maladaptivity of coping strategies is related to the viability of the individual. Particular attention is paid to the comparative analysis of the coping repertoire of girls and young men with different levels of resilience. The interrelation of types of response to difficulties with the level of resilience is proved. The author comes to the conclusion that resilience involves a wide range of types of response, greater flexibility and ability to adapt behaviour to different situations. The article summarises some of the results of studying adaptive, non-adaptive andrelatively adaptive strategies depending on the level of viability and gender of the subjects. The specificity of communication between different types of coping strategies caused by difficult situations and the level of resilience in men and women from 18 to 35 years of age is discussed.

The present study examined Rotter's Internal-External (I-E) locus of control (LOC) concept in relation to life satisfaction and death anxiety in an aged population. Age and sex of the individual were also considered. In the case of life satisfaction, a strong sex and a strong locus of control effect were found. For death anxiety, again a strong sex effect was found, but there was also a significant interaction between locus of control and age. The article suggests the need for a life span developmental perspective in LOC research. Studies which explore the influence of life experiences, situational and environmental variables, and their effect on control orientation are also needed.

The work performed allowed us to determine the correlation of giftedness, level of intelligence, academic success and conscious self-regulation in children of young adolescents. Diagnostics was carried out using the “Creative Field” method (D. B. Bogoyavlenskaya), the “Progressive Matrices” test (J. Raven) and the rapid method «Style of Self-regulation of Children Behavior» SSCB-M1 (V. I. Morosanova). The results were obtained as part of a longitudinal study from primary school to adolescence. Statistical analysis is represented by correlation analysis and the method of constructing regularized networks of patial correlations glasso using the language R. Giftedness is understood by us as the ability to develop activities on our own initiative. Mathematical analysis reveals an indirect connection between giftedness and a cluster of conscious self-regulation through an intelligence index. The negative sign of the connection between intelligence and the “planning” scale is explained by the characteristics of the age under study: the breadth of interests, the situation of choice and the criticality of children with a high level of intelligence, which leads to lower grades.

SummaryAs part of a population study on chronic lung disease in the Netherlands, an investigation is made of the relationship of both age and sex with indices describing the maximum expiratory flow-volume (MEFV) curve. To determine the relationship, non-linear canonical correlation was used as realized in the computer program CANALS, a combination of ordinary canonical correlation analysis (CCA) and non-linear transformations of the variables. This method enhances the generality of the relationship to be found and has the advantage of showing the relative importance of categories or ranges within a variable with respect to that relationship. The above is exemplified by describing the relationship of age and sex with variables concerning respiratory symptoms and smoking habits. The analysis of age and sex with MEFV curve indices shows that non-linear canonical correlation analysis is an efficient tool in analysing size and shape of the MEFV curve and can be used to derive parameters concerning the whole curve.
