It is known that the skin, in addition to other functions, has an important excretory function, which is of particular importance during pregnancy, when, due to the "restructuring" of the body, increased requirements are imposed on the excretory organs. Meanwhile, our knowledge of this important system in pregnant women is still very scanty. Studies of Scaglioni in our clinic of Dr. Sidorov showed a decrease in the part of the excretory function of the skin, which is commonly called perspiratio insensibilis, in a pregnant woman. A particularly sharp decrease in this function was found in pregnancy toxicosis.

This paper wants to briefly review the available research on voice changes during pregnancy, to point out reasons why these changes could be subscribed to a voice disorder pathology and the need for these patients to be taken in charge with a suitable therapeutic approach. The available research literature looks mainly into identifying and exposing evidence of symptoms and signs against the presence of voice disorder in pregnant women and focuses poorly on proposing a therapeutic approach for the identified voice disorder within the context of pregnancy. This period of altered physiology and anatomic changes within the body of a pregnant woman is limited and transitory, most of times with no permanent visible impact on voice. However, pregnant women may benefit of not only being informed and aware about this disorder, but also counseling or therapy with the purpose of managing their voice in an optimal way, so that they avoid possible permanent phonotrauma.

Introduction: Leptin is an adipokine that has strong correlation with the body mass index (BMI). Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a common medical complication associated with pregnancy. Leptin may lose its correlation with the body mass index (BMI) during diabetes due to hormonal rearrangement. Diet control is the first line management in GDM. Leptin reported to increase in pregnancy and further increases in diabetic patients during GDM screening. There is paucity in the reports concerning Leptin levels in GDM patients on diet control. The present study was aimed to evaluate the changes in maternal leptin in pregnancy complicated by GDM on diet control compared to the normal pregnancy in the 3rd trimesters by comparing the means and to find the correlation of Leptin with the body mass index in both groups. Methods: The study included 2 groups: normal pregnancy (n = 40) and pregnancy with GDM under diet control (n = 60) both groups are at 38-40 weeks of gestation. Leptin concentration in serum was measured in both groups and statistically tested using student t test. The BMI were measured and correlated with the Leptin level in test groups. Results: the results indicated that Leptin will nearly triple in the third trimester (38±30 ng/ml) of pregnancy compared to the standard normal non-pregnant. Leptin level was significantly lower in diabetic women on diet control (28±16 ng/ ml) when compared with the non-diabetics (38±30 ng/ml). The hormone has no correlation with the age of the patients but have a positive correlation with the body mass index before and during pregnancy in both groups. Conclusion: Leptin is increasing in pregnancy as part of the physiological changes. Dieting can decrease Leptin level in diabetics’ pregnant women. Diet can restore the hormonal dysregulation of Leptin. Assessment of Leptin level might be used as an indicator for good diet control during pregnancy.

Nowadays, there are many cases of marriage for pregnant women, this is one of the effects of too free association between men and women. The phenomenon of pregnant marriage as a result of promiscuity among adolescents is reflected in the film Two Blue Lines. In Islamic law, people who engage in husband and wife relations outside of a legal marriage are punished as adultery. If the adultery results in pregnancy and marriage, the priests of the Madzhab have different opinions regarding the validity of the marriage and also the status of the child in the womb. Whereas in positive law (Marriage Law and KHI), the marriage of a pregnant woman is legal and the status of the child who is born later is categorized as a legal child. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the concept of pregnant marriage contained in the scenes of the film Dua Lines Biru to be analyzed using Law No.1 of 1974 concerning Marriage, Islamic Law, and Compilation of Islamic Law.

ABSTRACT Backgrund: A growing body of evidence suggests that activity of the stress-responsive hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and its end-product cortisol also may be associated with perinatal emotional well-being. A number of preventive interventions, such as Yoga, targeting psychosocial and physiological risk factors for perinatal depression have utilized mind-body practices, which embody the idea that the mind interacts with the body to influence physical functioning, improve symptoms, and promote health. This study aimed to investigate effectiveness of prenatal yoga in reducing cortisol hormone in pregnancy Subjects and Method: This was a meta-analysis and systematic review. This study collected published articles during 2000 to 2020 from PubMed, Science Direct, Springer, Proquest, and Chocrane electronic databases. The inclusion criteria were full text, randomized controlled trial, and prenatal yoga intervention. The study subjects were pregnant women who received prenatal yoga for 8 to 20 weeks. Outcome was cortisol hormone reduction during pregnancy. The selected articles were analyzed by PRISMA flow chart and RevMan 5.3. Results: 5 articles from America and Asia were met the inclusion criteria. This study had high heterogeneity (I2=88%; p<0.001). Therefore, this study used random effect model (REM). Prenatal yoga reduced cortisol level 0.59 times in pregnancy (Mean Difference= -0.59; 95% CI= 1.18 to 0.01; p= 0.050). Conclusion: Prenatal yoga is effective to reduce cortisol level in pregnant women. Keywords: prenatal yoga, cortisol hormone, pregnant women Correspondence: Shiva Aflahiyah. Abstract Pertussis is quite common in adolescents and adults, but it is especially dangerous in new-borns. The national immunization plan (NIP) 2017-2019 recommended a Tdap booster for every pregnancy at 28-36 weeks, but adherence is still far from the optimal level. This work aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a dedicated pathway organized by the department of prevention to improve the Tdap coverage among pregnant woman attending antenatal class. The women attending from November 2019 to October 2019 the public antenatal class organized by the local health authority have been evaluated for their Tdap coverage in pregnancy. From May 2019, public health experts have been involved for 30 minutes during the first lesson to explain the NIP with a focus on vaccination in pregnancy. Then the eligible women (28-36 weeks not yet vaccinated) who voluntarily agree were accompanied to the ambulatory to be vaccinated. Pre-post Tdap vaccination coverage and pregnancy weeks at vaccination have been evaluated respectively by chi2 and t-test. 90 pregnant women have been included in the study. Their mean age was 32.3 (SD 5.2) and the overall Tdap coverage was 44.4%. The Pre-post Tdap coverage was 26.7%(12/45) before May 2019 and 62.2% (28/45) after the introduction of the new pathway (p = 0.001). 50% of the vaccinated women decided to receive the booster the same day of the antenatal lesson, while the remaining 50% delayed the vaccination till a maximum of 30 days. We observed a clinical, but not statistically, significant anticipation in the pregnancy week in which they received Tdap booster (32.4 weeks before and 31.3 after May 2019; p = 0.150). The introduction of a short intervention on vaccination in the antenatal class followed by the opportunity to receive the booster in a dedicated time and without waiting list significantly improved the Tdap coverage in pregnancy. This study encourages the cooperation among the different public health actors involved in the field of antenatal care. Key messages Antenatal class represents a great opportunity to improve vaccine confidence in pregnant women. Intervention aimed to ameliorate vaccine convenience could improve Tdap coverage in pregnancy.

AbstractExercise during pregnancy may be beneficial provided that there are no contraindications. The aim of this study was to summarize and compare recommendations regarding exercise in pregnancy. Thus, a comparative descriptive review was conducted and included guidelines by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. All compared guidelines recommend that pregnant women without contraindications should undertake physical activities regularly, however, the type of workout performed should be adjusted based on the previous exercise experience and the physical condition of each pregnant woman. A variation among the reviewed guidelines was identified on appropriate and inappropriate activities and on indications to interrupt exercise. To summarize, the adoption of an international up-to-date consensus regarding appropriate exercise during pregnancy may be beneficial in ensuring the safety of the pregnant women while promoting their physical and mental health.
