In the article the mechanism of realization of the program of sustainable development of the economy of the region with the predominance of the type of economic activity (PVC) is considered. The procedure for implementing the program for sustainable development of the region's economy was developed with the predominance of a separate type of economic activity: strategic vision, assessing the sufficiency of strategic resources, strategic planning, analyzing the attainability of strategic goals, program decomposition, control and regulation. The functional structure of the dominant type of economic activity in the regional economy and the cybernetic scheme for allocating resources for the sustainable development of the region's economy with PVC are developed. The result of using the simulation model of the sustainable development of the economy of the Lipetsk region for the period until 2020 was adapted. A matrix of mutual influence among the participants of the regional economy on each other and a matrix of opportunities for accessing the competencies of the regional economy to the available resources were constructed. The distribution of resources between competences in the economy of the Lipetsk region is calculated. A mechanism has been created for the implementation of the program for the sustainable development of the region's economy with the predominance of a separate type of economic activity.Purpose: to present the author's mechanism for implementing the program for sustainable development of the region's economy with the predominance of a separate type of economic activity.Methods: the scientific article is based on the provisions of the neoclassical institutional theory, the principles of sustainable development and the basic postulates of the regional economy. The article uses comparative, tabular, graphical and economic-statistical methods.Results: the final form of the mechanism for implementing the program for sustainable development of the region's economy was drawn up with the involvement of the predominant type of economic activity. It has been established that the development of a mechanism for the implementation of the sustainable development program for the region's economy with PVCD implies the use of a "contour-modular" approach in which all the main contours of the management of functional areas are linked within the modules describing the main stakeholder groups. Conclusions and Relevance: the practical significance of the developed mechanism lies in the fact that it can be used in any region. Particular attention should be paid to the information, technical and personnel contours in the process of implementing the sustainable development program for the region's economy, improving the quality of which is carried out using certain economic models that allow us to determine the optimal values of the specific parameters of the state of each of them.

The article considers the main features of managing the sustainable development of the region's economy, which includes a predominant type of economic activity (PVCC). It is shown that in the current conditions, firstly, the process of planning the development of the regional economy is based on cascading, and secondly, when creating a scheme for interaction between the subjects of the economy, the main tasks are focused on improving the sustainability of the region's development, taking into account the resource restructuring of the dominant type of economic activity; thirdly, in order to involve PVCD in sustainable development of the region, the possibilities of using this type of activity as the driving force of changes are taken into account. Also, the article describes the enlarged list of ways to manage the sustainable development of the region's economy with PVC, presents a map of approaches to managing sustainable development of the economy of the Lipetsk region, with the predominance of the type of economic activity "Processing industries", and an author's algorithm for selecting the priority direction for the development of the region's economy with PVC. The analysis of the stability of products according to the types of economic activity of the Lipetsk region was carried out, on the basis of which a conclusion was made about the prospects of economic activities for balancing PVC. The most widespread restrictions of development of economy of region with prevailing type of economic activity are presented.Purpose; to formulate recommendations on the analysis of economic activities and the choice of products that will reduce the dependence of the region's economy on PVC.Methods: the scientific results are based on the main provisions of the neoclassical institutional theory, the principles of sustainable development and the basic postulates of the regional economy. The article uses comparative, analytical and economic-statistical methods.Results: formed a consolidated list of ways to manage the sustainable development of the region's economy with PVC, described the opportunities for choosing approaches to managing sustainable development of the economy of the Lipetsk region, with the predominance of the type of economic activity "Processing industries'", an algorithm for selecting the priority direction for the development of the region's economy with PVC, transformer rolling, anonymous expert questioning of the sustainability of economic activities of the Lipetsk region, the most common restrictions on the development of the region's economy with the predominant type of economic activity are revealed.Conclusions and Relevance: the practical importance of the developed methodological provisions lies in the possibility of their application to analyze possible directions for improving the sustainability of economic development in specific regions. In particular, for the Lipetsk region, the most potential for sustainability are the types of economic activities "Transport and Communication", "Agriculture, Hunting and Forestry".

In view of the coordination of economy, society, and environment in the process of the rapid development of the regional economy, this study proposes the evaluation method of sustainable development of a regional economy on the basis of emergy. The study also constructed an evaluation index system of sustainable development of regional ecological economy from four aspects, namely, structural, functional, and ecological efficiency, and sustainable development index. The objective was to comprehensively evaluate the quality and environmental friendliness of regional economic development. On this basis, this study measured and evaluated the sustainable development of the ecological economy in Anhui Province by using emergy to analyze the statistical data of the economic development of Anhui Province, China, from 2010 to 2018. The study also provides targeted decision-making suggestions for the sustainable and high-quality development of the Anhui economy. Furthermore, this study provides a measure and evaluation method for the sustainable development of the regional economy and effective policy recommendations, which have important theoretical and practical significance.

The article contains some comments on the project of the National Program for the Development of the Far East until 2025 and for the future till 2035. It is noted that the project does not meet the formal requirements of the program document, has a number of unreasonable proposals and measures, the implementation of which may threaten the sustainable development of the region. The authors believe that in the development process it is necessary to take into account the principles of environmental and economic balance. The conclusion is made about the feasibility of developing a methodological framework for evaluating such documents as a tool for achieving sustainable development goals.

Urban parks are critical for sustainable urban development. They are of theoretical and practical significance for analyzing the visual landscape of recreational spaces from the perspective of the elderly. This analysis can be used for exploring new methods for optimizing recreational space layouts to improve the physical and mental health of the elderly in parks, thus realizing the sustainable development of urban society. Taking Ziyang Park in Shangrao Central District of Jiangxi Province, China, as an example, starting from the visual characteristics of the elderly, this study quantitatively calculated the landscape viewability, total view ratio, and water view ratio for the elderly in each recreational space using Python Scripting for ArcGIS. We briefly express the elderly suitability of the visual landscape for each recreational space through a weighted synthesis of the calculation results. Our findings show that, in Ziyang Park, the elderly suitability of the visual landscape for recreational spaces is not only low overall, but also gradually decreases from the interior to the exterior of this park. Moreover, this spatial distribution may be caused by the location of zoning, surface elevation, and road slopes, as well as the individual characteristics of each recreational space. Finally, we discuss the requirements of the elderly for some geographical factors, along with the feasibility of using ArcGIS 3-D analysis to optimize the layout of the park recreational space, with the aim of providing a new research perspective and an effective reference method for designing layouts of such spaces that are favorable for the elderly to better guarantee the sustainable development of urban society.

The purpose of the article is to improve approaches to assessing the effectiveness of innovative activities of the food industry and its individual subsectors to identify prospects for development and problems that can hinder the sustainable development of this area of production and the country as a whole. Research methods. The article uses the methods of theoretical generalizations and comparisons, which made it possible to comprehensively consider and generalize methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of innovation in industries. When systematizing the calculated data by the intensity of innovation costs, the methods of statistical classification and grouping were used. To achieve the goal of the study, the methodology for assessing the level of manufacturability of industries has been improved (the OECD methodology is taken as a basis), which made it possible to re-evaluate the effectiveness of innovative activities in sub-sectors of the food industry with an emphasis on the computerization of production. Research results. The article presents a methodical approach to assessing the effectiveness of innovation in the food industry. The study is based on the OECD methodology for assessing the manufacturability of industries, which is to calculate the weighted average cost intensity of R & D. The application of this approach to the food industry has confirmed the too low level of its innovative manufacturability. It was found that due to the lack of relevant statistics on R&D expenditures, it is difficult to assess the effectiveness of innovation in certain sectors of the food industry. It is proposed to solve this problem with the help of capital investment indicators, which are invested in the software of industries and are directly related to the level of computerization of technological processes. The obtained indicators of the intensity of software costs are ranked in descending order and divided into three groups according to the level of computerization, which characterizes the efficiency of innovation, as its level increases profits and profitability in industries. This will contribute to the goals of sustainable development of the country (including goals 2 and 9) and increase the competitiveness of the food industry. Scientific novelty. A methodological approach to assessing the effectiveness of innovative activities of sub-sectors of the food industry in Ukraine is proposed, which will contribute to the formation of a new look at the research methodology of this area of knowledge. Practical significance. Designed for professionals in the field of food industry economics, scientists, teachers, graduate students and students of higher educational institutions. The aim of the article is to present the regional differentiation of indicators characterizing the economic development of Polish regions in the context of the progress made in the implementation of the concept of sustainable development in 2010 and 2017. The authors focused primarily on determining the position of Lubuskie Province on the economic map of Poland. The article proposes a set of indicators monitoring one of the areas of sustainable development - economic development, which also take into account other areas of sustainable development, i.e. social development, environmental development, and institutional-political development. The main criterion for the selection of indicators were substantive premises and their completeness and accessibility across the regions. The analysis and evaluation of the proposed indicators (explanatory variables) were conducted within five thematic areas which mark the economic development of the regions and which are important from the standpoint of the sustainable development concept: 1) Potential of the economy 2) Innovativeness of the economy 3) Economic activity of enterprises, 4) Production and transportation, 5) Economic activity of households. The article consists of two sections. In the first section, based on literature review, the most important issues regarding the concept of sustainable development and the state of scientific research on the indicators of sustainable development at regional level are presented. The second section addresses the concept of indicator analysis on the basis of which an assessment of economic development of 16 Polish regions was carried out and the position of Lubuskie Province was determined against the backdrop of the other regions. The findings prompted an answer to the question concerning the economic development of Polish regions, and in particular of Lubuskie Province, in the context of the concept of sustainable development.Keywords: indicator analysis, region, sustainable development, economic development, Poland

This article summarizes the arguments and counterarguments in the scientific discussion on the main prospects for expanding the insurance market through the lens of the financial activation of the sustainable development of the region. The main aim of the study is the theoretical foundations of the insurance market in the context of financial activation of the region’s sustainable development. Systematization of literary sources and approaches to solving the problem of expanding the insurance market through the prism of financial activation of the region’s sustainable development showed that the majority of Ukrainian scientists who dealt with this issue considered certain instruments of activating influence on the social, economic and environmental spheres of the regions. The urgency of solving this scientific problem lies in the fact that the domestic insurance market is at the stage of its formation, in many cases it does not allow to use it as an effective tool for implementing state policy. Considering that sustainable development and insurance as a subsystem of a common economic space exert mutual influence on each other, the lack of a theoretical and methodological substantiation of the strategy for the development of the insurance market negatively affects the consistency and consistency of the sustainable development of society. The study of the problem of the implementation of insurance activities in Ukraine in the article is carried out in the following logical sequence: determining the sustainable development of the region and its revitalization; research of the insurance market at the present stage of development; setting priorities for the development of the insurance market in terms of ensuring the sustainable development of the region. The object of the research is the sustainable development of the region and its activation, as well as the insurance market of Ukraine. The article presents the results of an empirical analysis of the insurance market of Ukraine, showed that the insurance market has a tendency to develop. The main directions of the integration of insurance activities in the system of sustainable development of the region from the standpoint of its activation are proposed. The study empirically confirms and theoretically proves that the existing prospects for expanding the insurance market through the prism of financial activation of the sustainable development of the region. The results of the study can be useful for practitioners, academics, students, anyone interested in the concept of sustainable development.

This chapter is devoted to the study of the role of ecological subsystem in the structure of the sustainable development program of smart city. The author suggests the logic of building the environmental strategy of the city as a long-term landmark of its sustainable development including the environmental mission, vision of the future, goals and priorities, programs and their implementation, target indicators for assessing results, and consequences of realization programs. Certain attention is paid to the city as an object of research with a focus on environmental problems. The characteristics of the factors affecting the development of the ecological situation in the city are shown. A system of criteria and indicators that can be used to assess the impact of the planned environmental activities is proposed.

Climate change and energy crisis has crucial impact on the economic activity and industry, and sustainable development is a solution to our future generation to meet their own need under the impact of climate change and energy crisis. Sustainable development has varies meanings, therefore leads to different responses to this definition. This paper aims to evaluate the industry tendency of sustainable development in Weifang. The evaluation first considers sustainable development situation of Weifang today, and assess the sustainable development industry in that city, and then predicts tendency of future sustainable development, and in the end predicts the customer demand of sustainable development industry. To analysis this, the researchers interview leading expert in the sustainable development industry and review the literature of related field. The paper helps to clarify the sustainable development in the industry of Weifang and help city policy maker to guide the sustainable development.
