This study aims to determine the increase in mastery of concepts in inquiry learning science through simple concrete media. This research is expected to help teachers solve the problems of learning science at the elementary school level. The research approach used quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method and a nonequivalent control group design. The study involved 60 fifth grade students of SDN 1 Nagrikidul, Purwakarta district. In the control class, conventional learning assisted by audio-visual media is applied. And the experimental class applied science learning by inquiry using concrete media. The results showed that the gain normalization test for increasing the mastery of science concepts in the experimental class (N-gain 0.44) was greater than the control class's gain value (N-gain 0.23). Based on the test results, the difference between the two means is obtained count = 3.368 ttable = 2.045, with a sig. 0.002 α amounting to 0.05, then H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. Therefore Inquiry science learning by utilizing concrete media can significantly improve the mastery of science concepts in elementary school students.

This research is motivated by the results of learning science in fourth grade elementary school students who are still low. The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of science by applying the Cooperative Think Pair Share (TPS) type learning model. The results showed, seen from the basic score, students who completed as many as 11 people with a percentage of 47.82% while students who did not complete amounted to 12 people with a percentage of 52.17%. cycle I, students who completed at 17 people with a percentage of 73.91% while students who did not complete as many as 6 people with a percentage of 26.08%. cycle II, students who completed as many as 20 people with a percentage of 86.95% while the incomplete amounted to 3 people with a percentage of 13.04%. from the results of this study it can be concluded that by applying the cooperative learning model the Think Pair Share (TPS) type can improve the science learning outcomes of class IV elementary school 004 Seberang Teluk Hilir Kuantan Tengah District Kuantan Singingi Regency.

Local wisdom of Sasak society is a system of life and values of the Sasak ethnic group, since the past, has proven to give meaning if applied teguq, tuhu, bender and trasna in society. The value of local wisdom is supported by the existence of awik-awik or dynamic customary rules. Awik-awik contains contextual values according to the region of each region which is related in science learning of elementary school students. Through qualitative methods and literature reviews, the author tries to explore the reflection of the value of local wisdom in learning science. In awik-awik the characteristics of science / science are reflected in the form of products, processes and attitudes. Linking awik-awik in learning science aims to instill a sense of love for the noble values of culture and students get real learning experiences and their surroundings. This is expected to motivate teachers to implement it in the design of learning in schools

The aim of this study is to determine the influences of Problem Based Learning and learning interest at improving the cognitive learning outcomes in social science of fourth-grade elementary school students. This study is a quasi-experiment study with pre-test and post-test control group design. The sample collection is taken with stratified cluster random sampling technique. The sample of this study is 109 fourth-grade elementary school students, consisted of 50 students from experiment group and 59 students from control group. The students from experiment group are given the application of Problem Based Learning, while the students in control group are given the application of Direct Instruction. The data collection is carried by using the instruments of social science learning outcomes test and social science learning interest questionnaire. The validity of test and questionnaire instruments is carried by expert judgement. The difficulty level, distinguishing power, and reliability of test instrument is tested by using ITEMAN application. The internal consistency and reliability of questionnaire instrument is tested by using SPSS application. The data is analysed by using two-way anova. The outcomes of the study show that PBL and learning interest contribute significant impact towards social science learning outcomes of elementary school students.

There have been many studies examining the effect of the two stay two stray learning model on the science learning outcomes of elementary school students, but the results of these studies have not received further studies to summarize and retest the effectiveness of the effect of the learning model used. This study aims to determine the effect of the two stay two stray learning models on the science learning outcomes of elementary school students. This research is library research with a meta-analysis data analysis technique. The subject of this research is a research article totaling 13 articles from various Sinta accredited research journals. Data collection using the library study technique was continued by conducting a study on articles related to the research topic. The data that has been obtained is reprocessed using quantitative methods. Based on the results of the analysis of the use of the two stay two stray learning models in learning, it is proven that it can improve student learning outcomes, the lowest is 0.41 and the highest is 2.67. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray learning model can improve students' science learning outcomes in the experimental group which is larger than the control group. This shows that the Two Stay Two Stray learning model has an effective influence on science learning.

There have been many efforts to improve elementary school students’ critical thinking skills in science through various learning methods. However, only a few research results show efforts to improve critical thinking skills through HOTS-based science questions for elementary school students. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of student habituation with HOTS-based science questions in improving elementary school students’ critical thinking skills in science. Quasi-experimental methods were employed in this research with a nonequivalent control group design involving a treatment class and a control class. The treatment class gets treatment in HOTS-based science questions habituation during the learning process, while the control class in conventional approaches. A total of 60 students is from one of the elementary schools in Surakarta, Indonesia. To take data related to students’ critical thinking skills, they were given pretest and posttest where each test used HOTS-based science questions in an essay. The obtained data from the tests were then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. This study showed that the average of critical thinking skills in science of students in the experimental class was higher than the control class, with a positive mean difference of 0.4226. Based on these results, it is recommended that the results of this study can provide an overview to educational practitioners at the elementary school level and researchers in the field of science education related to efforts to improve elementary school students’ critical thinking skills in science through the habituation of HOTS-based science questions.

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari masalah rendahnya kemampuan proses kognitif siswa pada konsep perkalian. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik takalintarterhadap kemampuan proses kognitif pada konsep perkalian di sekolah dasar. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas III semester 1 tahun akademik 2017-2018 di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Nangela sebagai kelompok eksperimen, dan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Cipaku 03 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Sampel penelitian yaitu 20 siswa dari masing-masing kelompok. Selama proses penelitian, kelompok eksperimen diberikan teknik takalintar, sedangkan kelompok kontrol diberikan pembelajaran konvensional. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen kuasi desain Two Group Randomized Subject Posttest Only. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji-t. Tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor kemampuan proses kognitif siswa dari kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Hasil uji effect sizemenunjukkan nilai sebesar 0,892, dengan interpretasi termasuk pengaruh yang tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik takalintar memberikan pengaruh tinggi terhadap kemampuan proses kognitif siswa pada konsep perkalian. Oleh karena itu, teknik takalintardapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan proses kognitif siswa sekolah dasar. Abstract (The Effect of Takalintar Technique on Cognitive Processes Ability of Elementary School Students)This research is motivated from the problem of the low ability of students' cognitive processes on multiplication concepts. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of intelligent techniques on the ability of cognitive processes on the concept of multiplication in elementary schools. The study was conducted on third grade students of semester 1 of the 2017-2018 academic year in Nangela State Elementary School as an experimental group, and in Cipaku State Elementary School 03 as a control group. Research samples were 20 students from each group. During the research process, the experimental group was given takalintar techniques, while the control group was given conventional learning. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with the Two Group Randomized Subject Posttest Only quasi design experimental method. Data analysis was carried out by t-test. 0.05 significance level. The results showed a significant difference between students' cognitive process ability scores from the experimental group and the control group. The effect size test results show a value of 0.892, with interpretation including high influence. So it can be concluded that the takalintar technique has a high influence on the ability of students' cognitive processes on multiplication concepts. Therefore, takalintar technique can be an alternative learning that can be applied in an effort to improve the cognitive processing abilities of elementary school students.

The background of this research is the importance of the attitude of caring for the environment that is planted early on starting from the elementary school level. The purpose of this study is to find out how the attitude of caring for students' environment in 184 Pekanbaru Elementary School. This research is quantitative descriptive research type. This research was conducted at 184 Pekanbaru Elementary School. Based on the results of research assessed from 6 indicators, namely cleaning toilets, cleaning trash cans, cleaning the school environment, beautifying classrooms and schools with plants, participating in maintaining parks in schools and participating in maintaining environmental cleanliness. Based on the results of the study showed that 184 Pekanbaru Public Elementary School students have a very caring attitude towards the environment with an acquisition value of 89.02 in the very caring category

Multicultural approach in Indonesian language has become an absolute necessity over the last years. This research highlights the role of multicultural culture as a means to improve writing achievement of Indonesian Language among elementary school students. This study aims at determining the effectiveness of the multicultural approach in the writing achievement of Indonesian language among fifth grade students of islamic elementary school who are grouped based on their learning motivation. This study can be catagorized as an experimental study with 2x2 factorial design. The independent variable consists of two categories, multicultural and conventional approaches. The population was  60 fifth grade students of at two private islamic schools. The data was collected using learning achievement tests and learning motivation questionnaires, and analyzed using two-way ANOVA and sheffe test. The results showed that (1) there were a gap in learning achievement between students in the experimental group and control group students; (2) there were differences in learning achievement between students with high motivation between both groups; (3) there were differences in learning achievement between low motivated students between both groups; (4) the multicultural approaches proved to be more effective than the conventional one; and (5) there was no interaction between the approaches and the learning motivation.

This study aims to determine how integrated thematic-based English learning is for elementary school students. The method used is a qualitative research method with descriptive analysis techniques with library research by examining the implementation of integrated thematic-based English learning for elementary school students. Data collection is done by reducing documents in the form of reports, news and research articles both nationally and internationally related to the topic of this research article. The results showed that the integration between student experience and previous knowledge possessed by children with English learning presented in a theme, will help children to gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes holistically. The theme developed is of course taking into account the children's knowledge, interests, and environment. Each skill in English is also not taught separately but is learned in an integrated manner with other skills. Therefore, the concept of learning English as a foreign language in accordance with the concept of an integrated thematic approach will be able to provide the value of knowledge, skills, and attitudes as a whole whose process is in line with the characteristics of children at the elementary school level.
