The article presents the data of a statistical study using correlation analysis, which revealed the specifics of the relationship between the severity of rigidity, flexibility, the characteristics of the cognitive style and maladaptive behaviors in the structure of individuality in students. For diagnosis, such methods were used as: G. V. Zalevsky's Tomsk rigidity questionnaire; J. Young Schema Questionnaire; V. T. Kozlov's "Intellectual liability" test; The Stroop Color and Word Test; Rosenzweig Frustration Test; A. Luchin's test for flexibility of thinking; K. Gottshaldt Figures test. A correlation analysis of statistics was used. The study involved 73 university students aged 17–25 years. As the results of the study showed, the higher the cognitive plasticity and intellectual lability of the personality, the more pronounced is the ability to accept personal responsibility in a situation of frustration needs. At the same time, a high level of rigidity (general, relevant, premorbid, rigidity as a state) is associated with the manifestation of maladaptive patterns of behavior adopted in childhood, narrowing the possibilities for optimal self-realization of a person, with the predominance of aggressive actions with fixation on an obstacle in a situation of frustration. Expressed field dependence is associated with a self-defensive strategy for resolving a frustrating situation and fixing on satisfying one’s own needs.

The study is devoted to the study of the structure of the interconnections of the components of the "I" -image of students with the various mental states they experience in the context of studying at a university. Students determined the severity of the components of the "I" -image in three time continua - in the past (1st year), in the present (3rd year), in the future (4th year). They also determined the frequency of occurrence of mental states during the first two years of study using a special questionnaire. Then a correlation analysis was carried out, which made it possible to find relationships with a high level of reliability between the components of the "I" -image of students and some mental states experienced in two educational situations, which differ qualitatively depending on the time continuum. Based on the results obtained, conclusions were drawn about the presence of relationships, thanks to which it is possible to exert a certain influence on the experienced mental sta

The work performed allowed us to determine the correlation of giftedness, level of intelligence, academic success and conscious self-regulation in children of young adolescents. Diagnostics was carried out using the “Creative Field” method (D. B. Bogoyavlenskaya), the “Progressive Matrices” test (J. Raven) and the rapid method «Style of Self-regulation of Children Behavior» SSCB-M1 (V. I. Morosanova). The results were obtained as part of a longitudinal study from primary school to adolescence. Statistical analysis is represented by correlation analysis and the method of constructing regularized networks of patial correlations glasso using the language R. Giftedness is understood by us as the ability to develop activities on our own initiative. Mathematical analysis reveals an indirect connection between giftedness and a cluster of conscious self-regulation through an intelligence index. The negative sign of the connection between intelligence and the “planning” scale is explained by the characteristics of the age under study: the breadth of interests, the situation of choice and the criticality of children with a high level of intelligence, which leads to lower grades.

SummaryAs part of a population study on chronic lung disease in the Netherlands, an investigation is made of the relationship of both age and sex with indices describing the maximum expiratory flow-volume (MEFV) curve. To determine the relationship, non-linear canonical correlation was used as realized in the computer program CANALS, a combination of ordinary canonical correlation analysis (CCA) and non-linear transformations of the variables. This method enhances the generality of the relationship to be found and has the advantage of showing the relative importance of categories or ranges within a variable with respect to that relationship. The above is exemplified by describing the relationship of age and sex with variables concerning respiratory symptoms and smoking habits. The analysis of age and sex with MEFV curve indices shows that non-linear canonical correlation analysis is an efficient tool in analysing size and shape of the MEFV curve and can be used to derive parameters concerning the whole curve.

Abstract Stabilizing certified nursing assistant (CNA) employment is necessary for maintaining care networks and providing high quality of care for nursing home (NH) residents. This study’s objective was to examine the relationship of high wages and empowerment practices on CNA retention. We used the 2015 Ohio Biennial Survey to construct a facility-level dataset of 547 NHs and estimated multivariable linear regressions. NHs that provided both high wages and high empowerment were associated with a 12.95 percentage-point improvement in the CNA retention rate (SE = 4.53, t-value = 2.86, p = 0.0045). High wages and a high empowerment score did not have significant effects individually (p > .05). Retention rates were similar between NHs that lacked high wages and scored low on the empowerment scale, and NHs that provided one at a high level but not the other. Implications for better retaining CNAs require multiple empowerment practices combined with high hourly wages.

Mechanisms of regulation of cardiac rhythm have many individual features, which are conditioned by age, sex, training of the organism, strength and nature of external influence, constitutional features of the organism. The purpose of the work is to determine the relationship between cardiointervalographic indices and parameters of the external structure of the body in highly skilled wrestlers of the mesomorphic somatotype. The study involved 24 wrestlers between the ages of 17 and 21 with a high level of sportsmanship and more than 3 years of experience. All of the wrestlers were of medium weight and engaged in free and Greco-Roman wrestling. We conducted a study of heart rate variability on the cardiac computer diagnostic complex “OPTW” following the recommendations of the European and North American Cardiac Association (1996). The indices of vegetative homeostasis according to Bayevsky, variational heart rate, statistical and spectral cardiointervalographic indicators were determined. Anthropometry was performed according to the method of V.V. Bunak (1941), somatotypological study – by the calculated modification of the Heath-Carter method (1990), determination of the component composition of body weight by the method of Matejko (1992). In the package “STATISTICA 5.5” correlation analysis was performed using the nonparametric Spearman statistical method. It was found that in the wrestlers of the mesomorphic somatotype, the variations of the pulsometry had the highest number and strength of reliable correlations with constitutional parameters, most of which were inverse of the mean force. All statistical indicators of heart rate variability with indicators of the external structure of the body had only inverse significant correlations. The least significant correlations were found for spectral indices and parameters of vegetative homeostasis. According to the results of the correlation analysis in the wrestlers of the mesomorphic somatotype, we can assume that with the increase of total, longitudinal, circumferential, transverse body sizes and muscle and bone mass, the variability of the heart rhythm of the sympathetic department of the autonomic nervous system will be more pronounced.

For women, the perineum is very important stretching and lubricating the perineum during labor can weaken the pelvic floor muscles in the vaginal wall, trauma to the perineum also causes discomfort and pain during sexual intercourse and an estimated 85% of maternal mothers experience birth canal lacerations (Kettle and Tohil 2008). One of the fears that are often felt by pregnant women, especially third timers, is fear of being torn and afraid of sewing. Especially for mothers who have experienced it, this can make their own trauma when facing the birth process later (USU, 2006). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of parity to the degree of laceration of the birth pathway in Jetis Lor Polindes, Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency. The design or design in this study is correlation analysis, with the "retrospective" approach. This study analyzed the relationship of parity with the degree of laceration of the birth path in Jetis Lor Polindes, Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency. In this study, the population was all mothers giving birth at Jetis Lor Polindes, Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency. The samples in this study were all mothers giving birth at Jetis Lor Polindes, Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency. In this study by looking at the last 1 year data. In this study the independent variable is parity. In this study the dependent variable is the degree of laceration of the birth canal. Based on the calculation results of SPSS 11.5 for Windows, it was found that there was no relationship between parity and laceration degrees in the Jetis Lor Polindes, Nawangan Subdistrict, Pacitan Regency, from the results of probability (sig. 2-tailed) 0.22 <0.05.The researcher hopes that the mother will seek information and increase knowledge about the labor process, so that with good knowledge will reduce lacerations on the birth canal

Choosing rational design parameters of the coupling device for multi-section aggregation of seeders, it is possible to ensure full loading of the power unit while maintaining quality indicators of the technological process at a sufficiently high level. Foreign aggregates are not suitable for use in the Russian Federation due to the different soil and climatic conditions. Purpose of the study: to develop an effective device for multi-section aggregation suitable for domestic modern seeding machines. Subject of the research: the relationship of design parameters and modes of operation of the device for multi-section aggregation of seeders with indicators of the technological process of sowing. A monographic survey of known structures has been carried out, a device for multi-section aggregation of seeding machines has been substantiated by the design and construction method, indicators of the technological process of sowing have been experimentally obtained. The developed coupling device for multi-section aggregation consists of a central frame resting on the wheels and articulated side sections: left and right, which fold when transporting the seeding unit. The total working width of the seeding unit is up to 12.5 meters. According to the research results, the quality of the technological process by the seeding devices meets the regulatory requirements. The instability of the total seeding (0.6–1.1 % for barley and 0.4–0.7 % for wheat) is within the tolerance (up to 3 percent); uneven seeding between devices 3.9–4.2 percent (barley) and 2.6–4.2 percent (wheat) corresponds to the norm (up to 5 percent). The number of seeds embedded at a predetermined depth of the soil corresponds to the required (not less than 80 percent) and was 81.8–83.9 percent for barley and 80.1–83.3 percent for wheat. Not embedded seeds were found in the soil.

The article raises the issue of representation, indicating that multi-dimensional representation as a psychological phenomenon requires consideration in different coordinate systems. We show that system consideration is not only its study as a multifunctional education complex structure, but also the study of its integral characteristics, as the minimum set of characteristics is required, that provides its short description. We conclude that it is necessary to integrate different measurements, various order qualities and properties of representations, the allocation of determinants system, reflecting its diversity, multidimensionality and correlation of different measurements (characteristics) to each other, as well as their complementarity. We point out that the study of multi-dimensional representation involves the analysis of the relationship of its integral characteristics (controlled, vividness, brightness, sharpness), which will clarify the nature of the desired integral factors and create a common system of methods for studying the representation. We provide the results of correlation analysis of the integral characteristics of representation at different age stages of schooling.

Cultivated caladiums are valued for their bright colorful leaves and are widely used in containers and landscapes. More than 1500 named cultivars have been introduced during the past 150 years, yet currently only about 100 cultivars are in commercial propagation in Florida. Caladium tubers produced in Florida account for 95% of the world supplies. Loss of caladium germplasm or genetic diversity has been a concern to future improvement of this plant. In addition, the relationship among the available cultivars, particularly those of close resemblance, has been lacking. This study was conducted to assess the genetic variability and relationship in commercial cultivars and species accessions. Fifty-seven major cultivars and 15 caladium species accessions were analyzed using the target region amplification polymorphism marker technique. This marker system does not involve DNA restriction or adaptor linking, but shares the same high throughput and reliability with the amplified fragment length polymorphism system (AFLP). Eight primer combinations amplified 379 scorable DNA fragments among the caladium samples. A high level of polymorphism was detected among the species accessions as well as among cultivars. These markers allowed differentiation of all the cultivars tested, including those hardly distinguishable morphologically. Clustering analysis based on these DNA fingerprints separated the cultivars into five clusters and Caladium lindenii far from other caladium species. The availability of this information will be very valuable for identifying and maintaining the core germplasm resources and will aid in selecting breeding parents for further improvement.
