In the field theories in physics, any particular region of the presumed space-time continuum and all interactions between elementary objects therein can be objectively measured and/or accounted for mathematically. Since this does not apply to any of the field theories, or any other neural theory, of consciousness, their explanatory power is limited. As discussed in detail herein, the matter is complicated further by the facts than any scientifically operational definition of consciousness is inevitably partial, and that the phenomenon has no spatial dimensionality. Under the light of insights from research on meditation and expanded consciousness, chronic pain syndrome, healthy aging, and eudaimonic well-being, we may conceive consciousness as a source of potential energy that has no clearly defined spatial dimensionality, but can produce significant changes in others and in the world, observable in terms of changes in time. It is argued that consciousness may have evolved to enable the human species to generate such changes in order to cope with unprecedented and/or unpredictable adversity. Such coping could, ultimately, include the conscious planning of our own extinction when survival on the planet is no longer an acceptable option.

PurposeStudying mobile learning – the use of electronic devices (i.e. cellphone and tablets) to engage in learning across multiple contexts via connection to peers, media, experts and the larger world is a relatively new academic enterprise. This study analyzes the influencing factors of mobile learning (M-learning) motivation based on the time continuum model of motivation (TCMM).Design/methodology/approachThe study uses structural equation modeling (SEM) and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to verify relationships between mobile learning motivation, attitude, need, stimulation, emotion, ability and reinforcement. Justification for the use of both methods lies in the complementarity relationships that existed between the variables and research methodologies. The sample contains 560 mobile learners' feedback.FindingsResults show that attitude, need, emotion, ability and reinforcement are important factors to enhance mobile learning motivation, while stimulation is not.Practical implicationsThis work highlights the importance of training for app designers on how to design an M-learning App with high learning motivation by paying prior attention to learning content, teaching team and online learning communities.Originality/valueThis study proposes three precise solutions (scholars, managers and practitioners) to improve learning motivation based on the categorization of mobile learners.Peer reviewThe peer review history for this article is available at: https://publons.com/publon/10.1108/OIR-04-2021-0226.

Eosinophils are typically a minority population of circulating granulocytes being released from the bone-marrow as terminally differentiated cells. Besides their function in the defense against parasites and in promoting allergic airway inflammation, regulatory functions have now been attributed to eosinophils in various organs. Although eosinophils are involved in the inflammatory response to allergens, it remains unclear whether they are drivers of the asthma pathology or merely recruited effector cells. Recent findings highlight the homeostatic and pro-resolving capacity of eosinophils and raise the question at what point in time their function is regulated. Similarly, eosinophils from different physical locations display phenotypic and functional diversity. However, it remains unclear whether eosinophil plasticity remains as they develop and travel from the bone marrow to the tissue, in homeostasis or during inflammation. In the tissue, eosinophils of different ages and origin along the inflammatory trajectory may exhibit functional diversity as circumstances change. Herein, we outline the inflammatory time line of allergic airway inflammation from acute, late, adaptive to chronic processes. We summarize the function of the eosinophils in regards to their resident localization and time of recruitment to the lung, in all stages of the inflammatory response. In all, we argue that immunological differences in eosinophils are a function of time and space as the allergic inflammatory response is initiated and resolved.

The study is devoted to the study of the structure of the interconnections of the components of the "I" -image of students with the various mental states they experience in the context of studying at a university. Students determined the severity of the components of the "I" -image in three time continua - in the past (1st year), in the present (3rd year), in the future (4th year). They also determined the frequency of occurrence of mental states during the first two years of study using a special questionnaire. Then a correlation analysis was carried out, which made it possible to find relationships with a high level of reliability between the components of the "I" -image of students and some mental states experienced in two educational situations, which differ qualitatively depending on the time continuum. Based on the results obtained, conclusions were drawn about the presence of relationships, thanks to which it is possible to exert a certain influence on the experienced mental sta

The goal of this research lies in the analysis of romantic motifs and corresponding poetic images in the works of the prominent Turkish ashik of the XVII century Karacaoğlan, as well as in determination of the nature of interaction of the folklore and his original tradition therein. The article employs literary text analysis, as well as the method of description and comparison. Using the specific examples, the author examines the key motifs of Karacaoğlan’s romantic lyrics (praise and admiration of the beauty of the beloved; infidelity of the beloved; separation; doubting the feelings of the beloved, etc.), and the imagery system associated with these motifs: a nightingale, rose, grus, a “burning heart”, a “wounded soul”, landscape sketches (snowcapped mountains, light breeze, etc.). Analysis is also conducted on the artistic means of creating the portrait of a beauty: her face, eyes, eyebrows, hair, manner of walking, clothes, and accessories. Literary works of the Turkish ashik Karacaoğlan have not previously become the object of separate research within the Russian science, which detfines the novelty of this article. The conclusion is made that the traditions of folklore and Diwan (Sufi) poetry are organically intertwined in the works by Karacaoğlan, which determines the specificity of poetics of ashik literature not only of the XVII century, but also the entire time continuum. This study contributes to clarification of the typology and poetics of ashik poetry, as well as the nature of interaction of the folklore and the author’s individual tradition within a single work.

The “Hubble Constant” Value and specially the deviations in the “Hubble Constant” Value are one of the most fundamental parameters in our universe to understand the fine-structure of our 4-dimensional Space-Time continuum. Recent measurements with the “HST” of the “Hubble Constant” and the measured deviations[Ref. 17] reveal fundamental information of the fine-structure of our 4-dimensional Space-Time continuum. The recent measurements reveal a “Spherical Gravitational Indentation of approximately 10-10 [m/s2 ] with a diameter of approximately 2000 Mpc” surrounding our solar Milky Way Galaxy”. With increasing accuracies the need increases of a “New Theory in Physics” to explain the measured anomalies in the “Hubble Constant” value. Because “General Relativity” is not enough anymore to solve the nowadays problems in physics and specially in astronomy. With increasing accuracies the anomalies in the “Hubble Constant” value only become clearer. To develop a “New Theory in Physics” fundamental corrections have to be made in 2 of the 4 foundations in Physics. Corrections have to be made in Maxwell’s Electrodynamics and Bohr’s Quantum Mechanics. General Relativity will developed further to built the new theory in physics. Newton’s Classical dynamics will remain like it has always been. A solid ground to built on. Isaac Newton, James Clerk Maxwell, Niels Bohr and Albert Einstein lived in fundamentally different time frames. Newton in the 16th century, Maxwell in the 18th century, Bohr in the 20th century and Einstein was physically living in the 20th century but he was his time far ahead and with his concept of a “curved space-time continuum” more connected to the 21st century.

We propose a new integration of relativity and quantum mechanics (QM). Your cell phone or smart phone is a rich source of empirical information about relativity. It tells time based on a system called Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) which assumes absolute simultaneity: all observers in all inertial frames observe the same sequence of all events. You must choose whether to trust the time on your cell phone, or trust Einstein’s incompatible ideas about a space-time continuum. As concerns QM, the existence of “weirdness” means a mistake was made in QM’s starting assumptions. This article finds and corrects that mistake and presents for the first time, a quantum world free of all weirdness. There is another half to nature, previously unrecognized. It is devoid of energy and matter, namely zero-energy Elementary Waves which move within the medium of aether. We derive the linear wave PDE’s. There is evidence that Elementary Waves are in control of nature, despite their lack of energy. The existence of UFO’s (Unidentified Flying Objects) suggests that someone has learned how to control Elementary Waves. If we could learn from the UFO’s, we might acquire a decisive advantage in our battle against climate change.

Isaac Newton, James Clerk Maxwell, Niels Bohr and Albert Einstein lived in fundamentally different time frames. Newton in the 16th century, Maxwell in the 18th century, Bohr in the 20th century and Einstein was physically living in the 20th century but he was his time far ahead and with his concept of a “curved space-time continuum” more connected to the 21st century. An interesting question would be: “Who would win the fundamental discussion about the interaction between “Gravity and Light” comparing the 4 fundamentally different time-frames? Newton, Maxwell, Bohr or Einstein? Newton with the fundamental “3rd law of equilibrium between the forces (force-densities)”. Maxwell who had built the “Mathematical Foundation for Electrodynamics”, Bohr (together with Heisenberg) who overruled Einstein during the 5th Solvay Conference in 1927 with the fundamental concept of “Quantum Mechanical Probability” or Einstein (his time-frame far ahead) who postulated a “Curved Space-Time Continuum” within a gravitational field. It is still the question who was right? Newton, Maxwell, Bohr or Einstein? This article will discuss the interaction between “Gravity and Light” based on a deductive discussion based on the fundamental arguments and way of thinking within that corresponding time-frame.
