Indonesia,, with its large Muslim population, is an important market for and stakeholder in the development of the halal food industry. However, the halal industry in Indonesia has not grown optimally. One of the causes is that halal industry players currently only use Islamic banking, so they are less in touch with the wider community. This study aims to offer a solution to improve Islamic financing outside of Islamic banking, using an Islamic financing application called SEISHI (Smart Education and Investment System 4.0 for Halal Industries). SEISHI is offers an innovative fintech alternative for funding and investment for halal institutions in Indonesia. This research was designed at a regional scale in Malang and involved expert validation, material validation and 20 sample respondents to determine the acceptability of SEISHI applications. The descriptive qualitative method was used. The results of the study indicate that the application of SEISHI can bring together important elements in the halal industry cycle, namely halal industry players, Islamic banking, investors and the government regulators, and so strengthen Islamic funding and investment for halal industry players on an ongoing basis. Keywords: SEISHI, Sharia Funding, Sharia Investment, Halal Industry

Food is one of the most necessary needs of humans to survive so that everyone is expected to pay more attention to the food products that will be consumed.Indonesia is a country with a predominantly Muslim population. In the teachings of Islam there are orders to consume halal food and prohibition to consume illegitimate food. Halal product is a product that qualifies halal according to Islamic syariat from its substance, its process and its storage and presentation. This study aims to determine the implementation of law number 33 of 2014 on the guarantee of halal products on the registration of halal certificates on food products and what are the constraints faced in registering halal certificates. The guarantee of consumer protection against the circulation of halal labeled food products is already guaranteed according to the prevailing laws and regulations and the products labeled official halal have provided legal certainty to the halal nature of the product itself which can be seen from the authority given by the government to MUI and BPJPH.

Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world. With this amount, of course, it should be a capital for economic strength. However, as of November 2020, data released by the Financial Services Authority put the Islamic banking market share at 6.33%. Efforts to merge the three state-owned Sharia banks into Indonesian Sharia Banks are expected to increase the penetration of the sharia economy in Indonesia, which is still far behind when compared to conventional domestic economic movements and Islamic financial transactions in other countries. This research will describe the extent of the sharia economic conditions in Indonesia after the merger of state-owned sharia banks into BSI. This study uses a qualitative method with a type of literature review research which is obtained from various authentic sources such as books, articles, journals and trusted websites. There was a 2.7% increase in the market share of Islamic banks after the merger. This increase when compared to the existing potential and the market is still very small. However, it is hoped that this impact will continue to increase over time, especially as capital support for various financial sectors and the halal industry in the country.

Indonesia is a country that has enormous market potential in terms of the halal food industry. The government has been attracting foreign food manufacturers to venture into the country's market; this includes snacks from Taiwan, one of them being Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks. The public has been highly critical of Shihlin's food products of late due to doubts about its halal status and compliance with halal standards in manufacturing and supply chain activities. The company responded to the public's concern by obtaining the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) halal certification, increasing prices and affecting consumers' willingness to pay. In the form of a case study, this research aims to analyse the factors that influence Muslim consumers' willingness to pay for Taiwanese snacks in Indonesia, specifically Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks. A total of 326 Indonesian Muslims took part in our survey, which data was analysed using SmartPLS. The study results revealed that animal slaughter, halal logos, price consciousness, food quality, and religious commitment positively influence Muslim consumers' willingness to pay for the snacks. The findings can benefit halal food companies in formulating strategies to guarantee consistent compliance of the halal standards in the manufacturing processes. Besides, we urge halal food regulators to provide better clarity in developing the halal and tayyib food criteria to earn better trust and confidence from Muslim consumers.

This study aims to reveal the public’s perception and the management’s perspective about halal food tourism at speciality restaurants in Bandung. The background of this study is there are still many producers of food products that are not necessarily halal and are not yet certified by halal authorities (MUI) but they have claimed to be halal with the perception of their producers. This research uses a qualitative method. The results showed that some respondents still did not understand very well that related to the concept of halal food. All respondents agreed that the government and Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) have a right to issue halal certificates. As for the potential for halal food in Indonesia, it is not evenly distributed, because only a few regions or certain tourist attractions have started to optimize the program. The strategy of developing halal food tourism in Indonesia can certainly be managed by the tourism sector because it is very closely related. The conclusion from this research is that there must be a halal food tourism model so that it can be used as a platform. Therefore, the role of government and society is needed to develop the potential for halal food tourism. Keywords:  Halal Food Tourism, Public’s Perception, Speciality Restaurants

The issuance of Law Number 7 of 1996 concerning Products, Law Number 8 of 1999 Concerning Consumer Protection, Government Regulation Number 69 of 1999 reinforces the signal that the responsibility for halal food, beverage, medicines, cosmetics and other products is not only the responsibility of individuals and religious leaders alone, but also the responsibility of the government. Among the institutions responsible is the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Assessment Institute commonly called LPPOM. LPPOM MUI was established on January 6, 1989 to conduct halal examinations and certifications. According to Lukmanul Hakim as Director of LPPOM MUI Center that as a country that has the largest Muslim population, Indonesia has a big share in the world halal trade, reaching USD 197 billion of the total transaction estimated at US $ 1,600 Billion. Seeing the huge potential of global Muslim consumption in Indonesia, LPPOM MUI as a halal certification institution in Indonesia must be able to present halal guaranteed products. Because Indonesia is also a big market for imported products such as food, medicine, cosmetics and other used goods.
