In postmodern society, many of the perceptions that people had about them, their lives, the values that define them and the strategies that they can use to achieve their ideals have changed. Specifically, today we can talk about new paradigms, such as health, lifestyle focused on personal well-being, obtained through fitness (physical activity, balanced diet and recovery) and wellness, respectively wellbeing that adds the spiritual component, in an holistic interdependence (Larson, 1999). An important role in the changes we are talking about has been played by the media, which promote living standards built on hedonistic principles, specific to the consumer society. The consequence is that more and more teenagers and young people want to look good and feel good, but only a small part of them reach the specialists, who are best able to provide individualized guidance, support, and programs to prevent any negative consequences of uninspired choices or poorly dosed enthusiasm The stakes of choice are high, because a healthy lifestyle, which should not be limited to body aesthetics, but also aims to develop the spiritual side, can support a more effective adaptation to the dynamics of changes in society (economic changes influencing developments in social life supported by political decisions). The last year, marked by a new challenge, the pandemic, has fully demonstrated the need to assume on a personal level a balanced and responsible lifestyle, which offers new values of quality of life, as well as complementing proactive management with that managed by specialists.

The results of the study of a person's psychological state in Russia from the end of the XX - the beginning of the XXI centuries are presented. The study was carried out as part of historical psychology. A theoretical model of psychological state was created in the first stage of the research. During the discussion, respondents found out about the psychological state of a person using the focus group method; essays of group members underwent a qualitative analysis; then, 28 concepts were identified that reflect the positive and negative psychological well-being of a person at the second stage of the study. In the third stage of the research, the authors studied the changing of person's psychological state in Russia over the past 23 years of history. The newspaper «Arguments and Facts» was chosen as a source of information about the phenomenon under study. In total, 52 issues of the AiF newspaper were subjected to processing, including 5827 articles of various natures over four time periods from 1993 to 2015. The method of machine analysis of the text using the PHP-programming language allowed us to carry out semantic analysis and to isolate from the text the concepts reflecting the positive and negative psychological state of a person. Numerical values were subjected to ranking and statistical processing. The dynamics in the psychological state of a person of Russians during the last decades in the history of Russia has been revealed. Positive concepts in the media were mentioned more often, and they were less variable, while negative ones had their temporal dynamics and increased from year to year. It also revealed the core values in the minds of Russians, including the concepts of "Work," "Happiness," "Family," «and "Success." The analysis confirmed the assumption about the influence of political and economic changes in society on human well-being: relative political and economic stability improve the psychological state of a person. In General, we can talk about the positive coloring of the psychological state of a person. However, in conditions of instability of society, fears and anxieties of citizens are continually growing.

Introduction. The issue of public health is still relevant, as not only is it an individual value, but also a social one: an unhealthy population cannot be a reliable support for the state. This is especially true of young people, who are a key indicator of the well-being of the society and the country as a whole. The goal of the paper is to study the opinions of students about a healthy lifestyle and its promotion through tourism, prevention of addictions and negative impacts of various factors. Materials and Methods. In the course of the research, a set of methods was applied: analytical and synthetic study of scientific and methodological literature, logical methods for analyzing concepts, questionnaire surveys, expert evaluation, etc. The study also used quota sampling. Percentage distribution and ranking were used to process the empirical data. Results. The conducted experiment has revealed that most students enjoy good health and show optimism, they have a tolerant attitude towards people consuming alcohol or drugs. The study has proved that health and well-being of young people depend on the socio-psychological microclimate in students’ groups and dormitories, as well as on the friendship and solidarity of students themselves. Discussion and Conclusion. Only promoting a fashion for a healthy lifestyle one can protect students from negative consequences during the transition from the youth to adulthood. The materials obtained can become the basis for monitoring these processes in educational organizations and set new vectors for students’ better health, for improving the teamwork of teachers and mentors.

Many of New Labour's welfare initiatives were underpinned by a stated desire to combat social exclusion among disadvantaged sections of the population. Allied to this, a commitment to end street homelessness/rough sleeping was an enduring feature of their term in office (for example SEU, 1998; DCLG, 2008). Of course, concerns about social exclusion predate New Labour, and a lack of meaningful involvement in many key areas of wider social life (for example, democratic and legal systems, the labour market, the welfare state, familial and (local) community networks) have long been identified as symptomatic of social exclusion (Commins, 1993). Previous research has also noted that homelessness rarely occurs in isolation and that many homeless people often carry with them a variety of other problems and experiences. It is clear that many homeless people experience ‘exclusion across more than one domain or dimension of disadvantage, resulting in severe negative consequences for [their] quality of life, well-being and future life chances’ (Levitas et al., 2007: 9), and, as such, can be viewed as experiencing multiple and/or deep social exclusion. This situation has been recognised by Carter (2007) who, noting a lack of resources, rights and opportunities, adopts the phrase ‘multiple exclusion homelessness’ (MEH) as a shorthand term to characterise the reality of many homeless peoples’ lives.

Abstract Demographically, aging of the world’s population is a fact that requires the implementation and development of integrated, active policies for the inclusion of older people in economic and social life. In response to this challenge, an international UN plan for active aging was adopted in Madrid in 2002. By adopting this plan, all EU member states are committed to contribute to active aging by integrating the rights and needs of older people into national economic and social policies. The European Commission formulates the concept of active aging as adopting a healthy lifestyle, longer labor market participation, later retirement, and retention after retirement. In recent years managers of higher education institutions in Bulgaria have been pursuing a policy of preserving the labor and intellectual potential of retired research and teaching staff. There are different practices and activities aimed at preserving this valuable resource built for decades. This paper outlines the main activities and evaluation of the effectiveness of the Mentoring Program for Shared Experience and Knowledge. This pilot program was implemented over a five-year period from 2012 to 2017. It involved teachers in pre-retirement and retirement age working in higher education institutions. Monitoring and evaluation of the different forms of activities included in the program were made. The benefits for all participants have been derived. The results and the analysis made support the initial suggestion that the program is an opportunity for gradual withdrawal from work activity, preserving social well-being and successful adaptation to retirement from active labor activity.

The article shows that the modern development of information and communication technologies, has opened wide opportunities for self-realization of the person and liberalization of social life, and therefore it is often considered as a completely positive phenomenon, with its development contributing to the growth of the human well-being level. These seemingly positive developments are accompanied by a number of threatening trends, where the organized amnesia is at the forefront. It manifests itself in blurring the line between remembering and forgetting due to media pressure. They are oriented toward creating collective ideas related to the processes of production and consumption. Large flows of tightly controlled and insignificant information for the development of society, forces out the socially significant collective memories into "waste" against the backdrop of programmed life. However, it is this that leads to the fact that a person is forced to live in unchanged and commonplace today, which, as shown in the work, significantly complicates individual and collective identification, condemning a person to loneliness even in society.

Abstract Despite the increasing awareness about its severity and the importance of adopting preventive habits, cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide. Most people already recognize that a healthy lifestyle, which includes a balanced diet and the practice of physical activity, is essential to prevent this disease. However, since few simple mechanisms allow a self-assessment and a continuous monitoring of the level of cardiac well-being, people are not conscious enough about their own cardiovascular health status. In this context, this paper presents and describes a tool related to the creation of cardiac well-being indexes that allow a quick and intuitive monitoring and visualization of the users’ cardiovascular health level over time. For its implementation, data mining techniques were used to calculate the indexes, and a data warehouse was built to archive the data and to support the construction of dashboards for presenting the results.
