This is a descriptive study in the survey model conducted to examine teacher candidates' cyberloafing behaviors in terms of different variables. The study population consists of teacher candidates attending different departments of a state university in the academic year 2017-2018. To create the sample, students from all grade levels in randomly chosen fields of study from different departments of Education Faculty. Research data were collected using the “Scale of Cyberloafing Activities” and the “Personal Information Form”. The data collection tools were delivered from a total of 918 teacher candidates who participated in the study voluntarily. Descriptive statistics, the Mann-Whitney U, and the Kruskal-Wallis tests were applied for data analysis. As a result of the study, it was detected that the teacher candidates' level of cyberloafing in the educational setting was "low," and that they usually accessed social networks and news sites. With regard to gender, it was observed that male teacher candidates, and with regard to departments that Science, Social and Turkish Education students, engaged more in cyberloafing. More than half of the participants defined their internet usage skills on an advanced and expert level, and it was detected that the level of cyberloafing increased as expertise increased. It was determined that the level of cyberloafing increased in conjunction with an increasing frequency of teacher candidates' usage of the internet on their mobile phones during the lesson and increasing grade levels.

The objective of this research is to present the relation between employment hope levels and emotional expressivity levels of music teacher candidates. A total of 226 music teacher candidates studying Music Education in Faculties of Fine Arts in Marmara University, Trakya University, Karadeniz Technical University and Necmettin Erbakan University in 2015-2016 academic year constituted the study group of the research. Employment Hope Scale, Berkeley Expressivity Scale and Personal Information Form were used as data collection tool. Data acquired through these scales were analyzed through Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. In this study, a significantly relation was found between employment hope levels and emotional expressivity levels of music teacher candidates.

The aim of the study is to examine the thoughts of teacher candidates on Science and Technology Teaching based on effectiveness. For this purpose, data were obtained by using qualitative research methods. The research was conducted from qualitative research patterns in the phenomenology pattern. In the 2017-2018 academic year, an easily accessible sampling method was used in the research conducted at a State University in Istanbul. In this study, ten students were interviewed by using semi-structured interview forms and data were obtained within the limitations of these Interview Questions. In the semi-structured interview form, questions were applied as pilot practice with the participation of two students and the understanding of the questions was tested. The data collected was analyzed by content analysis and the students ' perceptions about activity based learning were determined. As a result of the analyses, it was determined that the learning approach with an activity-based approach affects the thoughts of teacher candidates in a positive way. Based on the findings obtained, it can be said that activity-based learning in Science and Technology Teaching increases the effectiveness of teaching.

This study aims to investigate the levels of organizational happiness of teachers working in primary, secondary, and high schools and to determine whether there is a significant difference in terms of some demographic characteristics. The screening model was employed in the study. The study population consists of teachers working in the Küçükçekmece, Bağcılar, Avcılar, and Esenyurt districts during the 2017-2018 academic year. The sample of the study comprises 297 teachers working in the Küçükçekmece, Bağcılar, Avcılar, and Esenyurt districts and selected via the convenience/incidental sampling method. In the study, the “Personal Information Form” created by the researchers and the “School Happiness Scale” developed by Bulut (2015) were used as data collection tools. The SPSS packaged software was used in the data analysis. According to the results of the data analysis, teachers’ general happiness perceptions and organizational happiness perceptions were observed to be high according to the subdimensions of management processes, attitudes towards the teaching profession, communication, commitment and economic provision of the School Happiness Scale. Teachers’ perceptions of organizational happiness differed significantly according to the level of education taught by teachers in the subdimensions of management processes and economic provision of the School Happiness Scale. Teachers’ perceptions of organizational happiness differed significantly according to professional seniority in the management processes subdimension of the School Happiness Scale. Teachers’ perceptions of organizational happiness differed significantly in the subdimensions of management processes, attitudes towards the teaching profession, commitment, and economic provision of the School Happiness Scale and according to the branch variable in the overall total. Teachers’ perceptions of organizational happiness did not differ significantly according to the variables of gender, educational status, age, and seniority in the school where they worked.

Assistive technologies are an important factor for individuals with special needs to benefit from educational services. The aim of this research is to determine the opinions and thoughts of special education students on the use of technologies. The study group of the research consisted of 41 teacher candidates studying in Cyprus and Russian universities in the special education department in their classes in the fall semester of the 2020–2021 academic year. With regard to the collection of research data, it aims to determine students’ views with the ‘Personal Information Form’ developed by the researchers to determine the demographic characteristics of the research group and the ‘Semi-Structured Interview Form’ prepared by the researchers. The descriptive analysis method was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the interview questions. As a result of the research, special education teacher candidates’ use of the assistive technologies is given in detail in the results section.

The present study aims to determine the effect of the scaffolding of information literacy on the botanical literacy of prospective biology teachers. The current study employed an experimental method with a non-equivalent group design. The respondents comprised 120 students in the Biology Education Program of Malang State University (the academic year 2017/2018), divided into the control and experimental groups. Data collection was based on scaffolding information literacy among prospective biology teachers and subsequent botanical literacy tests in multiple-choice format. The botanical literacy test provides nine indicator references. Reliability testing was done using Cronbach's alpha. Data were analyzed through pre-test covariate analysis (p < 0.05) for the control and experimental groups. The present study indicates that the scaffolding of information literacy has a significant effect on botanical literacy among prospective biology teachers. The findings of the current study suggest that innovation in botany learning, in this case, the scaffolding information literacy, can improve the botanical literacy of biology education students. It is necessary to undertake learning innovation with biology education students in a professional manner to enable them to transfer knowledge using scaffolding information literacy to their prospective students. In conclusion, the scaffolding of information literacy has a significant effect on botanical literacy among prospective biology teachers.

Effective and efficient time management is an area of management that is of great importance for teachers in the education process. In this respect, it can be said that teacher candidates should have sufficient skills in effective and efficient time management. In particular, this competence should be managed effectively and efficiently by science teachers, although it is important to emphasize itself in the context of the science course. The aim of this study is to determine the time management skills of science teacher candidates and to determine the change in skill levels according to the level of class. In line with this aim, a total of 135 science teacher candidates who have been studying at a State University in Istanbul in 2018-2019 academic year were selected through objective sampling. The data obtained by using Time Management scale as the data collection tool were analyzed by SPSS statistical program. The mean, standard deviation and one-way variance analyses were used in the analysis of the data and the results were evaluated. It was determined that there was no significant difference between time management skills and classroom level of science teacher candidates and time management skills were “high”.

Introduction: In this research study, it is aimed to examine the opinions of nurse and midwive candidates about the Public Personnel Selection Examination. Method: It is a descriptive, cross-sectional study.The sample of the study consisted of a total of 210 3rd and 4th grade students enrolled at a State University Faculty of Health Sciences Midwifery and Nursing Departments in 2019-2020 academic year. Survey method was used as data collection tool. In the analysis of the data, frequency, percentage distributions and arithmetic averages were calculated for each question. Results: Study population consisted of female (81.9%), and male (18.1%) students. Most (72.9%) of the students enrolled in nursing and 27.1% of them in midwifery. Still, 50.8% of the students stated that Public Personnel Selection Examination aided in fair appointment of the candidates, and 63.3% of the students stated that the content of the exam was not related to their field. While, 64.7% of them wanted a field knowledge exam in addition to this exam, and 53.3% of them stated that they had considered this exam to be more difficult than graduation exam from university. Half of them stated that would have studied better in their departmental courses if the question was asked in the Public Personnel Selection Exam, and 73.8% indicated that they would have other priorities other than this exam. Conclusion: It has been determined that the Public Personnel Selection Examination is not an test that measures professional knowledge and skills, it is not related to the departments of the students, in additon a field exam is requested, and the department courses are neglected so as to study this test

This research is to find out; the influence of e-readiness, e-learning, ebook on the achievement of graduates of diploma programs; and the influence of ereadiness, e-learning, and e-books on the achievement of diploma program graduates. The study population was graduates of the D3 Mechanical TechnologyStudy Program, Faculty of Engineering, Jakarta State University, the sample was the second semester of the 2016/2017 academic year. Data collection usesperceptual instruments for electronic readiness, e-books, and e-books, and relevant graduate GPA. The research method is a survey method with an associativeapproach. Data analysis techniques are simple regression, double freedom, and F test. The results of the study show; (1) there is no effect of e-readiness on Graduates' Achievement; (2) there is no influence of e-learning on graduate achievement; (3) there is no e-book effect on Graduates' Achievement; (4) there is no effect of ereadiness, e-learning and e-books together for the achievement of graduates. There is no provision in this study that can be interpreted that the curriculum developed by the D3 Mechanical Technology Study Program is in accordance with Learning Outcomes, especially in the implementation of the learning process.

The pedagogics competence of Indonesian language education students as prospective professional teachers is needed to improve the quality Indonesian language learning process. This study aimed to describe the pedagogics competence of students as prospective professional teachers in the Indonesian language education study program. This research uses a descriptive method. This study's subjects were all seventh-semester students in the Indonesian language education study program who programmed microteaching courses for the 2020/2021 academic year, totalling 34 students. The research data collection uses a pedagogic ability test through a google form. The percentage of students who have pedagogic abilities is reviewed by each indicator, namely: Indicator I of 11.76%, indicator II of 72.06%, indicator III of 57.35, indicator IV of 23.53, indicator V of 61.76, indicator VI of 79.41, indicator VII of 64.71, indicator VIII is 48.53, and indicator IX is 58.82. Overall, the percentage of achievement indicators obtained is 53.10%. So, it can be concluded in this study that the pedagogic ability of the seventh-semester students in the Indonesian language education study program is in a low category.

It is important to determine the attitudes of physical education teacher candidates who will carry out physicaleducation courses in secondary and high schools and classroom teacher candidates who will carry out physicaleducation courses in primary schools. The purpose of this study is to determine the attitudes of physical educationand classroom teacher candidates towards teaching profession. The research was evaluated with a general surveymodel. The research group consisted of totally 280 teacher candidates; 168 of them study at School of PhysicalEducation and Sports in Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department, 122 of them study at the Faculty ofEducation Primary School Teaching Department in the 2017-2018 academic year Hatay Mustafa Kemal Universityin Turkey. As data collection tools Personal Information Form developed by the researchers and the “Attitude ScaleToward Teaching (ASTT)” developed by Erkus (2000) et al. were used. In the statistical analysis of the data, t-testand one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used. In the result of the research, it was determined that theattitudes of physical education and classroom teacher candidates towards teaching profession were high, but it wasfound that physical education teacher candidates had higher attitudes than classroom teacher candidates.
