The importance of cultivating children's character from an early age in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 as it is today through Bidaya schools because this aims to create a young generation who is superior, intelligent, competent, quality, has responsibility and has good character according to the ideals of the nation in facing every era which keeps changing. For that we need special ways / steps in building character in early childhood. Raudhatul Athfal (RA) Al-Azhar Citangkolo, Banjar City is very important to offer a character education model through a superior school culture. The research method used in this study is qualitative with 15 children as the research subjects. Collecting data through interviews, and observations, and documentation. The results showed that in building children's character in Raudhatul Athfal (RA) Al-Azhar Citangkolo, Banjar City, West Java, the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 could be done through school culture, namely by instilling habituation and exemplary by teachers, schools and parents at home to children include: 1) instilling an attitude of honesty to children, 2) instilling an attitude of responsibility in children, 3) instilling discipline in children, 4) instilling cooperation

Indonesian society deals with a decline of patriotism. Foreign culture comes in with Access 4.0 influencing young generation rapidly. People start leaving traditional arts as an eastern cultural heritage. One of the examples is that many people do not know the legendary story of the origin of Reog Ponorogo but the dance. Early childhood education is one of the important agents to preserve Indonesia’s cultural heritage. One of them is done through Wayang Golek Reog Ponorogo. Wayang golek is an acculturation of West Java and East Java cultures. It comes from Priangan arts in West Java, whereas here, wayang golek is created with the legend of the origin of Reog Ponorogo. Containing authentic Indonesian arts, Wayang Golek Reog Ponorogo provides an advantage as a Learning Medium of Patriotism Character Education. This medium has two functions of character education, namely (1) the introduction of Indonesian cultural arts, namely Wayang Golek Reog Ponorogo as one of Indonesia’s wealth and (2) the developed manuscript story contains many character values that can be interpreted by the audience. This medium is expected to be one of the learning media innovations for early childhood in increasing patriotism of Indonesian people. <p><strong><em>MENTORING KINDERGARDEN TEACHER </em></strong><strong><em>IN DEVELOPMENT EARLY AGE</em></strong><strong><em> </em></strong><strong><em>LEARNING METHODS.</em></strong> This study aims to determine the ability of teachers in  preparing Weekly Working Plan  and Daily Working Plan; Applying early childhood learning methods; Making learning properties from natural materials; and the understanding of Islamic teachings based on the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah to the Kindergarten Teachers' Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Puloampel in 2017. In this study, the researcher used qualitative research method. Qualitative research intends to understand the phenomenon of what by research subjects such as behavior, perception, motivation, action, and others. The results showed that the teacher’s skill in using early childhood learning methods in teaching at a Kindergarten  Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Puloampel in 2017 is quite varios, they used lecturing method, question-answer, singing and assignment methods. This is shown by the teachers who only used student exercise books and magazines as the main learning media. The understanding of Islamic Teaching of the teacher was still minimum. This is indicated by the practice of worship of the teachers were not based on  the Decision of Tarjih Muhammadiyah.</p>

Character education is very important to be implemented in daily life. This is because of the problems which occur in this country. The character of the young generation is at a very critical point. The morality of this country is out of norms, ethics, religion and modest culture. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the local wisdom-based value education model in the Sundanese Wiwitan community to improve the students’ character in SMAN 1 Kawali Ciamis, Indonesia. This research was conducted using the R&D (Research and Development) The steps of the R&D research method are (a) potential and problems, (b) data collection, (c) product design, (d) design validation, (e) design usage, (f) trial use, (g) product revision, (h) trial run, (i) product revision, (j) mass product manufacturing. The results showed that by using the local wisdom-based value education model in Sunda Wiwitan community in Susuru sub village, Kertajaya Village, Panawangan, was very effective and feasible to be applied through integration in historical learning so that the students were able to have the following character values: religious, social, mutual cooperation, tolerance, and care for the environment to be implemented in school, family, and community life.Keywords: Value Education, Local Wisdom, Sunda Wiwitan, CharacterABSTRAKPendidikan karakter sangat penting untuk diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, hal ini karena adanya problem yang menimpa bangsa ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pendidikan nilai berbasis kearifan lokal pada masyarakat penganut kepercayaan Sunda Wiwitan untuk meningkatkan karakter siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Kawali Ciamis. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode R&D (Reasearchand Development) dimana metode ini menekankan pada produk akhir yang dihasilkan dari penelitian. Adapun langkah-langkah metode penelitian R&D adalah (a) potensi dan masalah, (b) pengumpulan data, (c) desain produk, (d) validasi desain, (e) pemakaian desain, (f) ujicoba pemakaian, (g) revisiproduk, (h) uji coba pemakaian, (i) revisi produk, (j) pembuatan produk masal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pendidikan nilai berbasis kearifan lokal pada masyarakat penganut kepercayaan Sunda Wiwitan di Dusun Susuru Desa Kertajaya Kecamatan Panawangan, sangat efektif dan layak untuk diterapkan melalui integrasi dalam pembelajaran sejarah sehingga siswa mampu memiliki nilai-nilai karakter sebagai berikut: religius, sosial, gotong royong, toleransi, dan peduli terhadap lingkungan untuk diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat.Kata kunci : Pendidikan Nilai, Kearifan Lokal, Sunda Wiwitan, Karakter

The entry of foreign cultures through various things caused the fading of the knowledge of Indonesia’s young generation toward their own culture. The introduction of culture from an early age should be encouraged to overcome these problems. One of them through education, where students are introduced to their culture’s through the learning process. The introduction of the culture through education can be given by science material, where science is subject which is very closely related to the surrounding environment. Science learning is rarely associated with the value of local wisdom, even though science is very closely with environment and culture. The purpose of this study is produce PSLM based on wonosobo local wisdom and examine properness of PSLM based on Wonosobo Local Wisdom material. The research method is R&D, where the product produced is PSLM for early childhood. The result showed that PSLM has been produced that is materially feasible with a very good category based on expert judgment.

ABSTRACTCharacter education really needs to be given to Indonesian citizens from an early age. In practice, the process of character education for early childhood must be done in a fun way. Edu-Friendly Bound is one of the techniques that can be used to develop and overcome character problems.  This technique is used to overcome character problems related to children's indifference of the environment. The purpose of the study on the subject of the Ba Group of TKA Daarunnajah in Tasikmalaya City, as follows: (1) Describes the profile of children's indifference of the environment before the treatment of the Edu-Friendly Bound game; (2) Describes the profile of children's indifference of the environment and the treatment process when an Edu-Friendly Bound game is performed; (3) Describes the profile of children's indifference of the environment after the treatment of the game Edu-Friendly Bound. The researcher conducts this study because there is a problem relating to children's indifference of environment in aged 5-6 years and teacher stimulus related to alleviating children's indifference to the environment that must be overcome. This research method is Single Case Experimental Design, the design of a single case experiment to evaluate the effect of a treatment with a single case, especially the indifference of the environment through the treatment of Edu-Friendly Bound games. As the result, the initial profile child's level of concern about the environment before the intervention has a fairly caring category or “Mulai Berkembang” (MB); , the initial profile child's level of concern about the environment on the intervention has a good category or “Berkembang Sesuai Harapan” (BSH); , the initial profile child's level of concern about the environment after the intervention has a very good category or “Berkembang Sangat Baik” (BSB). Pendidikan karakter sangat perlu diberikan terhadap warga Negara Indonesia sejak usia dini. Dalam praktiknya, proses pendidikan karakter bagi anak usia dini harus dilakukan secara menyenangkan. Edu-Friendly Bound merupakan salah satu teknik yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan dan mengatasi permasalahan karakter. Teknik ini digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan karakter yang berhubungan dengan ketidakpedulian anak terhadap lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian pada subjek Kelompok Ba TKA Daarunnajah Kota Tasikmalaya ini yakni: (1) Mendeskripsikan profil ketidakpedulian anak terhadap lingkungan sebelum dilakukan treatment permainan Edu-Friendly Bound; (2) Mendeskripsikan profil ketidakpedulian anak terhadap lingkungan dan proses treatment ketika dilakukan permainan Edu-Friendly Bound; (3) Mendeskripsikan profil ketidakpedulian anak terhadap lingkungan setelah dilakukan treatment permainan Edu-Friendly Bound. Alasan peneliti melakukan penelitian ini karena terdapat persoalan yang berkaitan dengan sikap ketidakpedulian terhadap lingkungan anak usia 5-6 tahun dan stimulus guru terkait pengentasan ketidakpedulian anak terhadap lingkungan yang harus diatasi.  Metode penelitian ini adalah Single Case Experimental Design, yaitu desain eksperimen kasus tunggal untuk mengevaluasi efek suatu perlakuan dengan kasus tunggal, khususnya ketidakpedulian terhadap lingkungan melalui perlakuan berbentuk permainan-permainan Edu-Friendly Bound. Diperoleh hasil bahwa Profil awal tingkat kepedulian anak terhadap lingkungan sebelum dilakukan intervensi memiliki kategori cukup peduli atau Mulai Berkembang (MB); Profil tingkat kepedulian anak terhadap lingkungan saat dilakukan intervensi memiliki kategori baik atau Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH); Profil akhir tingkat kepedulian anak terhadap lingkungan setelah dilakukan intervensi memiliki kategori sangat baik atau Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB).

  Character education is considered very important to instill in children from an early age. Given the importance of forming these character values, character education can be developed by teachers by implementing character education through role playing methods. The formulation of the problem that the researchers proposed was how to implement character education for early childhood through the role playing method aged 5-6 years in An-Nahl Bandar Lampung Kindergarten. The purpose of this study was to find out about how the implementation of character education through the method of playing the role of early childhood in An-Nahl Bandar Lampung Kindergarten.This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach involving 1 teacher and the number of 14 children while the object of the research is the implementation of early childhood character education through role playing methods aged 5-6 years at An-Nahl Bandar Lampung Kindergarten, data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.The results of the study show that the implementation of character education through role playing methods is as follows with the steps: (1) The Teacher Gathered the Children to Give Direction and Rules of the Play, (2) The teacher discusses the Tools that Will Be Used by Children to Play, (3 ) The Teacher Shares the Assignment to Children Before Playing According to Groups To Not Fight, (4) Teachers Gather Children To Be Guided, Give Rules In Games, Accompany And Calculate Children, (5) Educators Only Watch Or Accompany Children In Role Playing, (6 ) Children Play As They Are, Children Can Switch When Bored. Based on the results of the study that the development of the character education of children who have not yet developed (0), began to develop (5), developed according to expectations (6), developed very well (3). This research describes how the teacher processes in implementing child character education and can be used as an alternative source in the process of implementing character education for early childhood.

Learning in Early Childhood Education (ECE) today should adjust the 21st century competency framework. In this case, learning innovation is needed to actualize a generation that is creative, innovative, critical thinking, able to communicate and collaborate. STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics) - based ECE learning is currently seen as an approach that aims to stimulate creativity and  prepare children in a world of work that is full of innovation and invention. Research shows that there is a positive relationship between STEAM experience at early age and school success in the future. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of STEAM-based ECE learning in Semarang City. Three ECE schools that have implemented STEAM-based learning in Semarang City were included as research subjects. The research methods used were qualitative with observation, interview and documentation as a data collection technique. The research focus of the research results include: 1) Story times in STEAM class, 2) STEAM Processes in learning, 3) STEAM activities in class. Data analysis results show that the implementation of STEAM-based learning is not fully integrated, so assistance by expert teams is needed and there is no  comprehensive learning media tool.Pembelajaran di PAUD sekarang ini hendaknya menyesuaikan kerangka kompetensi abad 21, dimana inovasi pembelajaran sangat dibutuhkan untuk mewujudkan generasi yang kreatif, inovatif, berpikir kritis, mampu berkomunikasi dan berkolaborasi. Akhir-akhir ini STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics) dipandang sebagai sebuah pendekatan untuk menyiapkan generasi abad 21, yang bertujuan untuk menstimulasi kreativitas, menyiapkan anak-anak dalam dunia kerja yang penuh inovasi dan invensi. Riset menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara pengalaman STEAM di awal usia dengan kesuksesan sekolah di masa mendatang. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran STEAM di PAUD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan: 1) Storytimes dalam kelas STEAM, 2) STEAM Process dalam pembelajaran, 3) Aktivitas STEAM di kelas. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran berbasis STEAM tidak sepenuhnya terintegrasi, sehingga diperlukan bantuan oleh tim ahli dan tidak ada alat media pembelajaran yang komprehensif.

This study was aimed at diffusing the value education model through traditional songs and games for kindergarten teachers in Yogyakarta. This model is an early childhood learning innovation for value education. Diffusion research is a study to disseminate models to teachers; therefore the research subjects were kindergarten teachers. The subject of this study in Kindergarten Schools in DIY included 15 kindergarten schools in Bantul, Sleman, Kulonprogo, Bantul and Yogyakarta city regencies involving 32 teachers. The data were gathered using focus group discussions and questionnaires. The data then analyzed using mixed descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. This study proves that the model of value education in early childhood through traditional songs and games has five characteristics as innovations which have the advantages of relative, compatibility, complexity, can be tested and can be observed. In addition, in the process of disseminating to the teacher through five stages of diffusion, namely: knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, and confirmation. Teachers also tend to use traditional songs and games to inculcate religious values which are the school's peculiarities.DIFUSI MODEL PENDIDIKAN NILAI PADA ANAK USIA DINI MELALUI LAGU DAN PERMAINAN TRADISIONALPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendifusikan model pendidikan nilai melalui lagu dan permainan (dolanan) tradisional pada guru taman kanak-kanak ‘Aisyiyah di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Model ini merupakan inovasi pembelajaran anak usia dini untuk pendidikan nilai. Penelitian difusi merupakan penelitian untuk menyebarluaskan model kepada para guru; oleh karena itu subyek penelitian adalah guru taman kanak-kanak. Subjek penelitian ini di Sekolah Taman Kanak-kanak di DIY meliputi 15 sekolah Taman-Kanak-kanak di Kabupaten Bantul, Sleman, Kulonprogo, Bantul dan Kota Yogyakarta melibatkan 32 orang guru. Pengumpulan data menggunakan focus group discussion dan kuisioner. Analisis data secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa model pendidikan nilai pada anak usia dini melalui lagu dan dolanan memiliki lima karakterisik sebagai inovasi yakni memiliki keunggulan relative, kompatibilitas, kompleksitas, dapat diujicoba dan dapat diamati. Selain itu dalam proses penyebarluasan kepada guru melewati lima tahap difusi yakni: pengetahuan, persuasi, keputusan, implementasi, dan konfirmasi. Guru juga cenderung menggunakan lagu dan permainan tradisional untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai keagamaan yang merupakan kekhasan sekolah.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of traffic driving simulations at Qilpi Al Jihad Kindergarten in Surabaya. The author uses a qualitative descriptive method. The author focuses on applying traffic driving simulations with used media to improve discipline in children from an early age. The author observes 4 times meetings. Each of their meetings plays a different role but with the same content. Media used materials used are available at school and have been adapted to the material being taught. The research subjects were the Qilpi Al Jihad Surabaya Kindergarten which numbered 14 students. All students use media from used materials at each meeting for 30 minutes. The results showed that learning media through varied media used materials will make children more enthusiastic and enthusiastic to learn because it is not boring. However, for children who do not understand the traffic signs and regulations that have been explained by the teacher, they will experience difficulties and confusion. Humans have the ability to immerse into different levels of society. Due to the importance of tolerance values ​​in this life, character education embodying tolerance values ​​should be taught as early as possible. Home is the first school for children to understand tolerance values. However, how to teach the values ​​of tolerance certainly requires an in-depth study. Related to this, there is an educational model that develops tolerance values, namely the unschooling education model. This is a type of the homeschooling education where children are facilitated according to their learning needs at home. Parents and adults who live with the children play as facilitators of learning, for the children do not receive education like that of formal schools. Triangulation methods are used, namely comparing sources and theories, checking the data obtained from the fieldwork, namely secondary data collection and interviews. The results of the study show that children start to learn since they were born. The adults around the children need to continue learning because children are not only the recipients of knowledge. Therefore, unschooling education model is perceived of instrumental in the internalization of tolerance values ​​in children from the early age. Keywords: character education, tolerance values, unschooling education model   Manusia sebagai makhluk sosial tentunya harus memiliki kemampuan untuk beradaptasi dengan kondisi di berbagai lapisan masyarakat. Berbekal internalisasi nilai-nilai toleransi dalam diri setiap insan, pendidikan karakter terkait dengan nilai-nilai toleransi sebaiknya diajarkan sedini mungkin. Rumah sebagai sekolah dan madrasah pertama bagi anak merupakan sarana dan katalisator pengembangan nilai-nilai toleransi. Akan tetapi, bagaimana cara untuk mengajarkan nilai-nilai toleransi tersebut tentunya memerlukan sebuah kajian mendalam. Terkait dengan hal tersebut terdapat sebuah model pendidikan yang dapat diterapkan sebagai upaya pengembangan nilai-nilai toleransi yaitu model pendidikan unschooling. Model pendidikan unschooling sebagai variasi dari model pendidikan homeschooling, dimana anak difasilitasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajarnya di rumah dan orang tua atau orang dewasa yang tinggal bersama anak, merekalah fasilitator anak dalam belajar serta anak tidak mengenyam pendidikan seperti sistem pembelajaran di sekolah formal. Kajian dalam penelitian ini dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui penggunaan metode triangulasi, yaitu membandingkan sumber dan teori, melakukan pengecekan data-data yang diperoleh dari dua teknik pengumpulan data yaitu pengumpulan data sekunder dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sejak dini di lingkungan pertama anak terlahir adalah garis awal kita sebagai fitrah dari Allah Swt untuk belajar. Orang dewasa di sekitar anak sebagai pembimbing pertama bagi anak perlu untuk terus belajar, karena tidak hanya anak sebagai penerima ilmu. Oleh sebab itu, implementasi model pendidikan unschooling efektif dan efisien dalam menjembatani internalisasi nilai-nilai toleransi pada anak sejak dini.
