In the context of the institutional transformation of education and the complication of the processes of its functioning and development in the information age, the problem of analyzing the self-assessment of educational success as a subjective regulator of human educational activity becomes of particular importance. The article examines the subjective assessment of success in formal education as a reflection of students' ideas about the degree of compliance with the system of institutional requirements through their acceptance / rejection. The analysis of the problems of educational success is bazed on the material of a large-scale sociological study of schoolchildren, students of secondary vocational education (SVE) and universities of the Sverdlovsk region (N = 2489 people). There were carried out the typologization of subjects of educational activity in accordance with the level of self-assessment of educational success; comparison of the types identified during the transition from one subsystem of education to another (school - secondary vocational education - university); determination of individual-personal and institutional contradictions and conflicts in the assessment of educational success as points of growth, the search for coordination of the needs and interests of the individual, on the one hand, and education as a social institution, on the other. The author comes to the conclusion that the self-assessment of educational success is a stable institutional construct that uniformly regulates educational activity at all stages of education, carrying out the process of differentiation of its subjects. At the same time, it can be dysfunctional in relation to the institution of education, its implementation of an adaptive, socio-cultural function, the function of professional self-determination. The results of the sociological study demonstrated that the institutionally formed model of self-assessment of success for educational communities in the current conditions is not optimal. Gradually transforming in accordance with the needs of students, the possibilities of the educational institution, the challenges of the time, it will have to change, creating conditions for broader prospects and diversity of the educational and professional future of students.

Employability skills for health graduates, and many disciplines within higher education, are considered vital to maximising their capacity to cope with the rapidly changing, uncertain and highly competitive labour market. Despite the increasing importance of developing generic skills for employability, there is a dearth of knowledge about how to support health students to develop generic skills as part of their formal education. The main objective of this two-phase study was to engage health students in the process of self-assessment of their generic skills and explore the potential of this process to facilitate their generic skills development. The first phase of this study engaged students in completing a self- assessment questionnaire, incorporating a validated set of industry-demanded skills with associated behaviours. In the second phase a subsection of respondents participated in focus group interviews that explored their perception of the self-assessment process in generic skills development. Students viewed themselves as having some capabilities to perform the generic skills, as well as their university studies contributing to the development of these skills. The qualitative data found that the self-assessment process prompted students to reflect on their abilities and further engage with developing these skills. This study supports the evidence for contextualising and embedding a process of self-assessment of generic skills into the formal curricula to help better prepare health students for their future work.

The current problems arising in the implementation of the educational process in institutions of secondary vocational education are considered: self-determination of applicants, their interest in obtaining a specific specialty; the qualifications of the teaching staff, their professionalism and dedication; material and technical equipment of classrooms, laboratories and workshops. These indicators are reflected in the quality of the provision of educational services, the qualifications of graduates, the rating of the educational institution. The purpose of the study, based on many years of pedagogical experience of working with students and in the teaching and methodological department of secondary vocational education, is to draw attention to the accumulated issues in the secondary vocational education system, which are largely due not only to financial difficulties, but also from inconsistency of actions within the teaching staff.Analyzing the downward trend in the quality of education, possible ways of changing the situation that require a professional approach have been identified.Effective functioning of the psychological and pedagogical service of educational institutions; motivation of applicants to obtain a specialty; competent work of curators with students' parents; mentoring activities of experienced teachers with young teachers; attentive attitude to the organization of the lesson — as the main activity of the teacher; correct analysis of regulatory documents; competent development of educational documentation; modern equipment of classrooms, laboratories, workshops — this is only a partial solution to many problems. The results of the research can be useful for teaching staff of secondary vocational schools when organizing a system for training qualified workers and mid-level specialists.

The appearance of the new federal educational standards for secondary vocational education has given rise to two tools: the WorldSkills competitive movement and the independent assessment of qualifications. Today, the state final certification should be conducted in the form of a defense of the final qualification work, in the form of a thesis (diploma project) and a demonstration exam, which requires specialized sites (equipped with modern technological equipment) that allow you to perform tasks that are provided for in the passport of competencies according to the WorldSkills model. This entails financial costs for educational organizations: either for the participation and use of a specialized site on the basis of a third-party organization, or for the creation of new competencies and the development of the material and technical base of their educational institution. The article describes the experience of the teachers of the Tikhoretsk Technical School of Railway Transport in developing competencies according to WorldSkills standards, as well as the problems and ways of developing championship lines in railway specialties. The creation of new competencies, the development of an expert community, the interaction of educational organizations and the holding of competitions according to WorldSkills standards brings changes to the system of secondary vocational education and sets the pace in the development of championship lines.

The study aims at theoretical analysis and empirical identification of adaptive aspects of the social situation of adolescents' development to the new learning conditions. The article presents the materials of the first stage of the empirical study obtained on a sample of 1st-year students of the Moscow organization of secondary vocational education. The study involved 500 respondents aged 16 to 17 years, of which 92% were female. The study included measurements on 7 scales for 5-7 days. We used a projective closed method for assessing the formation of the components of educational activity (it includes two options: for boys and girls). The obtained data suggest that the natural process of adaptation of adolescents to the new conditions of college education is based on its complementary components. At the same time, entering a new situation of social development is accompanied by the emergence of a number of contradictions between the actual needs of a young person and the conditions for their satisfaction. The need to form a system of interpersonal relationships with both peers and significant adults (teachers) actualizes the need for self-affirmation, which is characteristic of the younger adolescence, the previous stage of personal development. The revealed contradiction leads to the formation of an uncertain professional picture of the world.

The process of self-evaluation and evaluation of an educational institution, by an accrediting institute, implies that a group of academics, managers, administrative staff and support staff work collaboratively to achieve the objectives, however, this work must be organized by a small group of people, an accreditation commission or a general coordinator, so this article presents a methodological proposal for the division and organization of the activities involved, as well as the roles of those who make up the commission. Likewise, considering that one of the main tasks during the self-assessment process is the collection of information consisting of a large number of physical documents, folders, files and isolated documents, somedigital tools are suggested so that this activity involves less effort and a greater organization, in addition to having greater transparency and collaboration.
