The paper is devoted to the development of technology for reducing the consumption and losses of electrical energy of railway transport enterprises on the basis of the concept of “smart enterprise”. A design solution to the monitoring and management system for energy efficiency indicators was proposed; monitored parameters and influencing factors were determined. The application of the simulation model in the MATLAB/Simulink program for determining the set values of the monitored system parameters, namely, power losses and power factor depending on the influencing factors, is considered. The approximating equation is obtained. Specific power losses were calculated for various control options.

At this present time increasing electrical energy requirements, and therefore found the latest energy is solar energy. Solar energy can be harnessed as a potential alternative energy source because the energy is very large as well as environmentally friendly. Tool that can be used to convert sunlight directly into electricity is called photovoltaic. On the control panel to control the water pump on the motor control circuit design life turns automatically and manually. To control the timing of the displacement of the pump used to pump two timers. On the control panel of diesel propulsion sell used four times the displacement step. Switching time between steps in the set by a timer. The control panel uses the same circuit with the motor circuit alternating rounds.

Renewable energy is needed as an alternative energy source. One of the implementations of renewable energy is the Solar Power Plant (PLTS). PLTS is a component that uses solar cells to convert solar energy into electrical energy. Unfortunately, the output power of this solar cell depends on the intensity of the light which causes the output power to enter the load to be unstable. Sometimes the PV power decrease because of the shading effect. From this problem a converter is needed to keep the system output voltage. The converter used in this research is the zeta converter. This Zeta converter can operate like a buck boost converter. The output of the system used is not stable. So that to stabilize it requires good control. In this paper using PI controller to control this system in order to keep the output system stable. 3. The error generated using the PI Control on the system is only 0.34%.

Technical and technological advances in alternative energy sources have led many countries to add green energy to their power plants to reduce carbon emissions and air pollution. At present, many electricity companies are looking to use alternative sources of energy because of high electrical energy prices. Wind energy is more useful than many renewable energies such as solar, heat, biomass, etc. The Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) is a system that converts the kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy to feed the known loads. WECS can be found in a variety of technology. Climate change and load demand are essential determinants of WECS optimization modelling. In this paper, proposed a strategy focused primarily on economic analysis WECS. The strategy based on a weather change to find the optimal designing and modelling for four different types of WECS using HOMER software. Finally, several criteria were used to determine which type of WECS was the most profitable investment and less payback period.

Indonesia currently has a growing need for energy, this will experience an energy crisis, dependence on fossil fuels will at least have a serious threat, therefore there must be alternative energy as a substitute and reserve such as wind energy, water energy, solar energy, and other. This study aims to develop a wind power plant as an alternative source to produce electrical energy, namely a wind turbine. This tool is used to meet energy needs and also as an alternative energy so that fossil fuels will not run out. Because Indonesia is an archipelagic country and is located on the equator, Indonesia is a country that has abundant resources, one of which is wind. Wind turbine is a tool that functions to convert wind power into mechanical power in the form of a shaft rotation, this shaft rotation is then used for power generation or for water pumps. Therefore I tried to develop my ideas to utilize abundant natural resources to be used as a source of electrical energy by means of a wind turbine using a Naca 0018 blade. This study aims to determine the effect of the number of blades, the effect of profiles, the effect of the wing tip of the rotor blades. , naca 0018, and the resulting energy efficiency. This study uses the type of experimental research.

Currently, alternative energy sources are used to economize. They provide autonomous power supply for the electrical receivers. One of the solutions in the field of alternative generation for lighting and power supply to low-power electrical receivers is to use road power energy systems. It is integrated as speed breakers and has an electromechanical generator converting a car speed energy into electrical energy. The paper considers the developed road power energy system with a rocker rod gear used to convert the forward movement to rota-tional movement. The study concentrates on the influence the acting force converter mechanism links movement have on the operation of road power energy system generator. The paper analyzes the operation of mechanisms with various crank arm lengths with preset speed and size parameters. The influence of the crank arm length on the motion path and speed of rocker arm was determined. The analysis showed that the100 and 150 mm crank arm lengths provide for the site with proportional speed rate of motion rocker arm. The100 mm crank arm was selected for future research. It allows building a system with a minimal size possible.

This study investigates the use of an alternative energy source in the production of electric energy to meet the increasing energy requirements, encourage the use of clean energy, and thus reduce the effects of global warming. The alternative energy source used is a mechanical energy by piezoelectric material, which can convert mechanical energy into electrical energy, that can convert mechanical energy from pressure forces and vibrations during activities such as walking and traveling into electrical energy. Herein, a pilot device is designed, involving the modification of a bicycle into a stationary exercise bike with a piezoelectric generator, to study energy conversion and storage generated from using the bike. Secondly, the piezoelectric energy harvesting system is used on bicycles as a micro-mobility, light electric utility vehicle with smart operation, providing a novel approach to smart city design. The results show that the energy harvested from the piezoelectric devices can be stored in a 3200 mAh, 5 V battery and power sensors on the bicycle. Moreover, 13.6 mW power can be generated at regular cycling speed, outputting 11.5 V and 1.2 mA. Therefore, the piezoelectric energy harvesting system has sufficient potential for application as a renewable energy source that can be used with low power equipment.

The study of the potential of rice straw was conducted to determine the potential energy of rice straw available as substitute energy sources of coal in Indonesia. The statistical data of rice production Indonesia in 2001-2012, used to analysis of the development potential of rice straw each year. Province are analyzed by 27 provinces have greater rice production of 100,000 tons per year. The analysis showed that the potential of rice straw and potential electrical energy increased by approximately 36.8 % over 12 years, an increase of approximately 3.1 % per year. The potential of rice straw in 27 provinces gained about 91.753 million tons which is equivalent to approximately 50.974 million tons of coal, electrical energy potential of about 382.305 GWh, and the potential power capacity about 43.642 MW. It was concluded that the energy potential of rice straw in 27 provinces in Indonesia is quite large and is increasing every year. Exploiting this potential as a source of electrical energy, can overcome the shortage of electrical energy and can reduce the use of coal in Indonesia.

Abstract One of the trees that has fruit with high acid content that has the potential to be used as an alternative energy source is the acid contained in Singi (Dillenia serrata Thunb.) fruit. Therefore, this study aims to test the ability of the singi fruit to turn on the LED lights and determine the value of voltage, current and electrical power in the fruit. This research was conducted at the Laboratory Ministry of Forestry, Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, Halu Oleo University. In June-July 2019 using an experimental method for 5 days by measuring the acidity (pH) value of voltage, current and electric power. The results showed that the LED was on until the 5th day but the value of the electricity content tended to decrease, namely the first day with a power value of 7.533 watts and the fifth day 1.722 watts. While the acidity (pH) of the singi fruit which is decreasing over time affects the value of the electrical content contained in the solution of the singi fruit.
