The aim of this study was to evaluate about reproductive efficiency of beef cattle by artificial insemination (AI) in Kecamatan Tikung Kabupaten Lamongan period 2015 and 2016. To determine reproductive efficiency by artificial insemination, data concerning the value of reproductive efficiency such as number of inseminated cattle, number of pregnancy, and the number of birth were collected. The raw data were processed to get the Service per Conception (S/C), Conception Rate (CR), Calving Rate (CvR). After processed, the obtained data was tabulated. The result showed that Service per Conception on 2015 was 1.28, on 2016 was 1.33. Conception Rate on 2015 was 79.45%, on 2016 was 7.94%. Calving Rate on 2015 was 81.08%, on 2016 was 78.54%. Conclution of reproduction efficiency is good. Based on data calculated of mean and standart deviation.

Abstrak Penelitian mengenai Evaluasi Tingkat Keberhasilan Sapi Potong Betina di Kecamatan Selaawi Kabupaten Garut telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 Juli sampai dengan tanggal 31 Juli 2015.Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan inseminasi buatan yang meliputi service per conception (S/C), conception rate (CR) dan Calving Rate (C/R) pada sapi potong di Kecamatan Selaawi Kabupaten Garut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik studi kasus. Peubah yang diamati terdiri dari service per conception (S/C), conception rate (CR) dan Calving Rate (C/R). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rataan service per conception (S/C) adalah sebesar 1,4, Conception Rate (CR) sebesar 71%, Calving Rate (C/R) 83%. Dengan demikian tingkat keberhasilan inseminasi buatan pada sapi potong betina di Kecamatan Selaawi sudah baik. Artificial Insemination (AI) in beef cattle breeding is one of the efforts to accelerate genetic quality, production, the productivity of livestock, and increasing the supply of quality livestock seeds. This study aims to evaluate the success rate of AI based on Service for Conception (S/C), Conception Rate (CR), Calving Rate (C/R), knowing what the factors that affect AI and knowing the role of inseminators and breeders in the success of AI in Southeast Padangsidimpuan subdistrict are. This research was conducted in Padangsidimpuan subdistrict from June to October 2020. The population of this study consisted of 28 acceptor breeders of AI and one inseminator. Sources of data used were primary and secondary data and data collection techniques by observation and interviews and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the success rate of AI was based on Service For Conception 2,09, Conception Rate 39%, and Calving Rate 57%.

This study evaluated the use of cooled semen in a fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) program compared with frozen–thawed semen to improve pregnancy rates in beef cattle. Ejaculates of three bulls were collected and divided into two treatments: (1) frozen–thawed semen and (2) cooled semen. Egg-yolk extender without glycerol was used for the cooled semen treatment. Straws (25 × 106 spermatozoa) were submitted to cooling for preservation at 5°C for 24 h, after which FTAI was performed. Nelore cows (n = 838) submitted to FTAI were randomly inseminated using frozen–thawed semen or cooled semen. There was a 20% increase in the pregnancy per AI (P AI–1) using cooled semen compared with frozen–thawed semen (59.9 ± 4.7 vs 49.4 ± 5.0%; P < 0.005). There was no difference in P AI–1 among the bulls (P = 0.40). The frozen–thawed semen had fewer functional spermatozoa than did the cooled semen when evaluated by sperm motility (61.7 vs 81.0%), slow thermoresistance test (41.7 vs 66.7%) and hypoosmotic swelling test (38.3 vs 53.7%; P < 0.05). The percentage of sperm abnormalities did not differ between the freeze–thawing and cooling processes (18.6 vs 22.1%; P > 0.05). Because there was less damage to spermatozoa and improvement in P AI–1, the use of cooled semen instead of frozen–thawed semen is an interesting approach to increase reproductive efficiency in cattle submitted to a FTAI protocol.

The purpose of this study was to determine the reproductive efficiency of dairy cows in the presence of non-specific bacteria in the reproductive tract. This study was a descriptive study of 20 healthy and cycling dairy cows. The identification of non-specific bacteria in the reproductive tract was conducted in the previous study. Data were collected from interview, questionaire, and direct observation at the beginning of the study. Detection of estrus was performed visually, followed by artificial insemination 12-18 hours later. Non-return to estrus was checked after 21 days. Artificial insemination was repeated up to three times on cows returning to estrous. Pregnancy was checked through rectal palpation 60 days after the last insemination. Pregnant cows were followed until calving. The results showed that the estrus rate, non-return rate (NRR), conception rate (CR), calving rate (CvR), services per conception (S/C), and days open (DO), were respectively 100%, 85%, 85%, 85%, 1.3, and 93 days. It could be concluded that the presence of non-specific bacteria in the reproductive tract of dairy cows did not affect the reproductive efficiency so that pregnancy and calving could still occur.

This study aims to Determine the success rate of the Artificial Insemination in North Kayong Regency of West Kalimantan Province roomates has been done by IB officers. Artificial insemination is the process of introduction or delivery of cement into the genitals of female cows by means of made devices. North Kayong districts Regency is one of the which is administratively established Republic of Indonesia based on Law no. 6 of 2007 is an area that is developing cattle. The location that Became the focus of the evaluation of the success of Artificial Insemination is in three districts of Maya Island district, Sukadana and Seponti. Data used in this research is secondary Data Obtained from inseminator. The parameters used in this evaluation are the Non Return Rate (NRR), Service per Conception (S / C) and Calving Rate (CvR). The results Showed that the average of the three sub-districts in North Kayong district was for the highest 90% NRR in Sukadana district and the Lowest score of 67% in the Mayan Island district. S / C Obtained the highest number of 3.4 in Maya Island district and the Lowest S / C number district of Seponti 1.8. The highest score was 92% CvR in Sukadana district and the cancel CvR score was 64% in the Mayan Island district. The Conclusions Obtained based on the value of NRR, S / C, and CvR on artificial insemination evaluation with the best artificial insemination implementation are Sukadana district, followed by district of Seponti and last is Maya Island district.

The purpose of this research is to know the impact of bread waste to efficiency reproduction of Friesian Holstein cow in regional working KPSP Setia Kawan Nongkojajar, Pasuruan by value Service per Conception (S/C), Conception Rate (CR), Days Open (DO). Method in this research is the dependent variable observed is the reproductive efficiency, the dependent variable as a supporter is the cow has given birth, the healthy dairy cow, the feed volume given. The data obtained is processed by using descriptive analysis to get the reproduction efficiency figure. The result of the research indicate that the value of Service per Conception (S/C) = 1.5 ± 0.69 times, Days Open (DO) = 95.6 ± 11.32 days and Conception Rate (CR) = 65% and Fertility Status (FS) = 72,4%. Results of this study can be concluded that bread waste provided by the breeder as an additional feed for dairy cow has no significant effect.

he purpose of this study was to see the success rate of Artificial Insemination on beef cattle  in Purwodadi district, Musi Rawas Regency. The parameters observed is Service per Conception (S/C), Conception Rate (CR), Non Raturn Rate (NRR) and Calving Interval (CI).  Survey method isused  in this study by taking all area of Purwodadi district as the observed area because of its livestock population then analysed by using Slovin Formula to obtain 93 samples. The results of this study concluded that the Conseption Rate (C/R) in Purwodadi District was very good because it was obtained 70.96%. Figures for   S/C in Purwodadi sub-district showed an average of 1.4. As for the NRR value in Purwodadi Subdistrict, NRR(0-30) obtained a percentage of 70.96%. NRR(31-60) obtained 93.54% and NRR(61-90) obtained 100%. The value of the Calving Interval (CI) is very good, reaching an average of 14.7 or 14 months 7 days.Keywords: Artificial insemination, Purwodadi district, Beef Cattle, Success Rates

This study aimed to evaluate the influence of medroxyprogesterone acetate (MGA) supplementation between the 13th and 20th day after Fixed-Time-Artificial Insemination (FTAI), on the conception and gestation rates of Nellore and crossbred cows (Nellore x Angus), pluriparous and lactating. For the study, 349 Nellore cows and 270 crossbred cows were selected, distributed into 1) group G1 (n=176): Nellore cows submitted to the FTAI protocol, without MGA supplementation; 2) group G2 (n=173): Nellore cows submitted to the FTAI protocol, with supplementation for 7 days of MGA® (0.28g/AU/day) from the 13th post-FTAI; 3) group G3 (n=119): crossbred cows: FTAI protocol, without MGA supplementation; 4) group G4 (n=151): crossbred cows: FTAI protocol followed by MGA supplementation for 7 days (0.28g/AU/day), from the 13th to the 20th day after FTAI. For statistical analysis, the procedures MIXED and GLIMMIX from SAS were used. G3 had higher rates of conception (CR=85.7%) and pregnancy (PR=95.8%) at the end of the breeding season (P<0.05), without the interference of supplementation with MGA (P>0.05). G1 females had a lower conception rate (TC=76.7%) (P<0.05), with the use of MGA® (CR-MGA=59.5%), but similar rates of pregnancy (PR=90.3%; PR-MGA=92.5%) to the G2, at the end of the breeding season (P>0.05). When G2 and G4 were compared, we found that crossbred females supplemented had higher rates of conception and pregnancy. In conclusion, crossbred animals have higher conception and pregnancy rates at the end of the breeding season. Besides, we found that Nellore females had a lower conception rate, with the use of MGA® Premix.

Reproductive efficiency is the main factor limiting yak production on the Tibet Plateau. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of supplementation with calcium chloride (CaCl) and monocalcium phosphate (MCP) for 30 days before breeding on body weight (BW) change, serum bone metabolism biomarkers, conception rate, and calving rate of grazing yaks. Ninety 3 year old yak heifers (153.05 ± 6.56 kg BW) were assigned to three treatments (n = 30 per treatment): grazing without supplementation (CONT), grazing plus calcium chloride supplementation (CaCl), and grazing plus monocalcium phosphate supplementation (MCP). Compared with the CONT group, supplementation with CaCl increased the serum concentrations of osteocalcin and decreased the alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels (p < 0.05); supplementation with MCP increased the average daily gain (ADG), serum concentrations of phosphorus (P) and osteocalcin, conception rate, and calving rate (p < 0.05), whereas it decreased the serum concentrations of hydroxyproline, ALP, and calcitonin (p < 0.05). Both CaCl and MCP supplementation had no effect on serum calcium (Ca) concentration. The ADG, conception rate, and calving rate were higher in the MCP group than in the CaCl group (p < 0.05), while the serum concentrations of hydroxyproline and calcitonin were lower (p < 0.05). It could be concluded that premating supplementation with MCP increased the body weight gain and subsequent conception and calving rate of grazing yaks. Supplementation with MCP had a positive effect on body condition and bone metabolism, thus providing a better estrous condition for grazing yak heifers, which could contribute to enhancing reproduction efficiency.
