In Tanah Grogot district, precisely on the KM 6 road which is the city boundary roads of Tanah Grogot City-Lolo Kuaro it has an important role as the only access for road users. Because at the side of the roads does not have a drainage channel, resulting in water overflowing and the seepage flowed on the surface, causing a landslide. The length of the landslides is 50 meters, with a width of 5.5 meters and the highest height is 9.6 meters. The result of this landslide is very disturbing for the road users. The delivery of goods and services can not be accommodated properly. Therefore, it is expected that this path must be handled properly, so the road can be functioning again safely and comfortably. How to handle this problem is by making a design of retaining walls construction which is safe in form of sheet pile.The planning for this anchored sheet pile begins with analyzing the secondary data in form of data sondir, laboratory data, and topographic measurement data. This then followed by the calculation of the forces acting on the sheet pile, the calculation of moments in the sheet pile, the calculation of the carrying capacity of the pile on the anchor, capacity calculations for the mast against a lateral load, and the slope stability analysis using GeoStudio2007 application. After that designing the sheet pile construction, tierod, the pile, planning the budget, and makes the Detail Engineering Design (DED).From the planning, the profile of concrete sheet pile obtained is CCSP W-500-A-1000 with a total length of the sheet pile is 12.2 meters. On tierod using dimensions of 6.32 m long with a diameter of 5 cm. On the pile is using a steel pipe with a diameter of 40 cm which penetrated into 10 m depth. For the stability of the slope with the reinforcement of piles obtained SF = 5.5> 1.25, which can be said as safe.Keywords:  designing sheet pile, anchored sheet pile, steel pipe piles.

The road that is located in the City of Satui is a road that connects cities that are large in the South Kalimantan, the road is often used by mining trucks. From these conditions, there will be a high movement of people, goods, and services. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct a review to determine the performance of the road.The location in this study is on A.Yani Street, City of Satui, South Kalimantan. On this road, there is a part of the road that has a median and does not have a median. Data collected from the results of traffic surveys are primary data which includes geometric data, traffic volume data, and traffic speed data. Secondary data which includes an overview of the study area. The data obtained are then grouped according to the composition of the vehicle. Then the data is made into hourly traffic data to get volume, speed, and density. The data obtained was analyzed to obtain capacity, the appropriate relationship model, and performance changes between roads.The results of data analysis on A.Yani Street, City of Satui are the maximum volumes obtained on the road with a median of 468,75 amp/hour while those on the road without the median are 421,51 amp/hour. The maximum density obtained on the road with a median of 133,67 SMP/km while on the road without a median of 55,86 SMP/km. The maximum speed obtained on the road without the median is 129,2 km/hour while the road with the median maximum speed is 60,87 km/hour. The corresponding equation for A.Yani Street, the City of Satui on the road with the median is the Underwood model, y =   61,161e-0,048x with the R-value of 0,90675 while the road without the median is the Greenberg model, y = -20,41ln(x) + 82,208 with an R-value of 0,90161.

Completion of the transportation problems in the city of Pekanbaru currently only looked at in terms of congestion, but not touching insights from environmental aspects such as performance air pollution and noise levels. This research was conducted at the observation point road ahead Repair Tambusai lord Eastern Daihatshu, road Tuanku Tambusai West Side Mall SKA, North Soekarno Hatta street front retail outlets, street front Soekarno Hatta South Hotel Ibis Pekanbaru. V / C Ratio highest in the afternoon rush hour on the road ahead Tambusai lord Stations Daihatsu ie 0.86 pelyanan road performance E. Quality Standard ambient NOx emissions do not exceed the threshold of ambient quality standards, the NOx emission = 281.76 mg/m3. Quality Standard ambient CO emissions do not exceed the threshold of ambient quality standards, namely emission = 7456.79 mg/m3, the noise level over the limit of noise that is 71.41 dB (A). To balance the load reduction in pollutant emissions and noise levels at the flyover plan with the plan of special bus lane traffic volume assumptions have to move 25% of the transfer of the road users of private vehicles and motorbikes switch to using mass public transport vehicles ie Trans Metro bus Pekanbaru.

ABSTRACT  Related to the implementation of the Regional Regulation (Perda) about the increase in parking rates at the edge of the road prone to congestion in the city of Bogor ratified and entered into force on July 2, 2012, The first location that imposed this tariff is the Way Suryakencana and Jalan Siliwangi Bogor and the second location is the application of The Government through the Department trials Traffic Transportation (DLLAJ) Bogor City gets a reaction from the people around Jalan Suryakencana. Enactment of the increase in parking rates at Jalan Bogor Suryakencana expected to reduce illegal parking of vehicles in the area, which has been causing congestion. With parking rates that have been enacted many road users who park their vehicles in multiple and indiscriminate. The method used in this study is empirical juridical approach. The study, based on an inventory of positive law, the discovery of the principles of law and legal discovery inconcretto, which include observation of empirical operationalization of law in society. The conclusion from this study is the basis of the application of the levy Parking Services Bank Public Road, especially in the city of Bogor is Law No. 28 of 2009 on Regional Taxes and Levies and Regional Regulation No. 4 of 2012. Implementation of Regional Regulation No. 4 of 2012 on Increase Rates Parking is not yet fully effective this is due to high payments also has not been matched with adequate services, the responsibility for the damage and loss still be a burden for the owner of the vehicle so that the functions and responsibilities of the government that deal with parking problems is questionable. Impact parking tariff policy to demand that any increase in the parking rate of 10 percent would result in a decrease in the use of parking of 0.7 -0.8 percent, increase use of public transport and cycling amounted to 3.71 percent of 0.9 percent. This figure is even greater in the short term, when applied can lead to a new increase in the elasticity to be about - 0.28., Where the parking lot reducing the length of parking time and reduce the amount of parking.  Keywords: Regional Regulation, Rates Parking, Traffic Order

Kampala is a government seat and the capital city of Uganda. Kampala has been referred to as an executive slum due to its breakdown in service delivery. Currently the city is facing increased population growth, increased demand for services, changing consumptions, rising income which has caused urbanization that resulted into increased solid waste generated. While Kampala has a lot of challenges i.e., garbage, potholes, sewer service, construction, traffic management, corruption, health services, environment, stray livestock and management of markets. The main objective of this papers was to investigate service delivery during the recentralization of the city in line with garbage tonnage. Secondary data from Lubaga division used with content analysis to analysis the collected data. Results indicated that a small number of trips and fuel consumption in December compared to October and November 2016. The fall in trend of garbage collected could be as a result of some measures like burning which are adopted by some households in Rubaga division. It is also believed that some KCCA garbage vehicles remain on the road sides and this would make it hard for some people who are far from the road to bring their garbage.

The condition of transportation as one of the pillars of the movement of people from one place to another safely, comfortably, quickly, cheaply in accordance with the environment, with the increasing growth rate of motor vehicles (four-wheeled and two-wheeled) is not balanced with the physical road, so that more dense road transportation, especially in the city, with the socio-economic development of the community will affect parents who provide concessions to their children who have not met the age of driving a motor vehicle, especially two wheels. Thus it will affect the road traffic and will result in the occurrence of violations and accidents. The approach to be used is a normative juridical approach or statutory approach, namely research that examines laws relating to road traffic and transportation in accordance with Law No. 22/2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation. In addition to this approach, the authors also carried out a sociological approach which can empirically be known symptoms of changes in  community behavior towards social development in society related  to road users in Malang. Existence in legislation relating to road users in traffic  can  be obeyed  and minimize the occurrence  of violations, crime, safety and comfort, and accidents. Thus the violation of the law will be reduced and order will be well realized.

Background. A traffic accident is an incident on the road which accidentally involves a vehicle with or without other road users which results in human casualties and/or property loss. The most common injury that occurs during traffic accidents is head injury. Head injury due to traffic accidents is a major cause of disability and mortality in developing countries.Objective. To analyze the overview of victim who died with head injury in traffic accidents at the forensic department of DR. M. Djamil Padang 2018-2019.Methods. This type of research is retrospective descriptive. Sampling was carried out by total sampling technique in the forensic department of RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang from March 2020 - September 2020.Results. The results showed that 150 victims who died with head injury in traffic accidents. The conclusion of this study, most of the age is 15-29 years and the incidence was higher in males. The most common injury patterns are abrasions.The head region most affected is the frontalis region. The most time for accidents is at 12.01-18.00 WIB and the most accident days are on Sundays. Most of the accident locations were outside the city of Padang, most types of vehicles were motorbikes, the role of the most victims were motorists and the most types of accidents were being hit by other vehicles.Conclusion. Most of the age is 15-29 years and the incidence was higher in males. The head region most affected is the frontalis region. Road accidents are a major problem in both developed and developing countries, although related to different historical reasons and circumstances. The clear, common feature is the impact caused by three major factors: use of the automobile, road infrastructure and the road users (human factor), this has generated interest from researchers and academia. Most research has been limited in scope, while some researchers used secondary data, some use official reports, experimental investigation through system approach. The inability to recognize the complexity of factors that affect this issue may explain why we have conflicting results obtained by different researchers. The purpose of this paper was to develop a sustainable road safety model that is based on concurrent research, including: Human factors, Vehicle factors and Road factors. A sustainable approach was taken in evaluating relationships among the various factors and indicators thereby proposing a model that can serve as a tool for benchmarking and policy decision. Pekanbaru as the capital city of Riau Province and one of big cities in Sumatran Island had experienced developments and constructions in many sectors. One of the important constructions conducted in Pekanbaru city was the construction of transportation system. The policy of the Green Open Space development was adjusted to the policy of transportation development which was directed to the development of green arrangement and pedestrian walk along the road for the comfort and safety of road users, create the beauty and environmental balance of the city. One of the factors which would be able to support establishment of the condition aforementioned was an appropriate green-belt arrangement.The aim of this research was to assess safety and aesthetics functions toward the greenbelt of Jendral Sudirman was street, Pekanbaru, Riau Province. Locations observed were the road median and roadside. The activity took 4 months time, starting on September until October 2009, and it was continued on November until December 2010. The method used was inventory of species, planting distance, leaf mass, plan height, crown shape, color variations, and plant texture. The total lengths of Jenderal Sudirman street was divided in to six segments of observation sites. The assessment of safety and aesthetics function of each segment was done based on pre-determined criteria. The assessment would resulted in the segment which categorized in to good criteria on both function. The result showed that the roadside of segment 1 and 2 were categorized in to good safety and aesthetics function. Meanwhile, the road median of the same segment had bad safety function but good aesthetic function, which but the location in to fair category. Both the roadside and median of segment 3 fall in to fair category of safety and aesthetic function. The roadside of segment 4 was categorized in to fair safety and aesthetic function, while the road median was categorized in to good safety and aesthetic function. The roadside of segment 5 and 6 fell in to bad category of safety and aesthetic function, while the median part fell in to fair category since the median had good safety function but bad aesthetic function.

A major road link in the North-Eastern region of Nigeria is the Bauchi – Maiduguri highway that is a 425 km road that links a section of the north east region to other regions of Nigeria. The goods and services to the region are basically transported by road.  This has increased vehicular traffic that resulted in increased road accident rates over the years.  It is paramount to investigate the major causes of vehicle accidents on this highway as much has not been done to investigate accident cases on the route. The five year accident record on that route was obtained from the Federal Road Safety Corp of Nigeria,   the Nigeria Police traffic unit, and the Nigeria union of road traffic workers. The study indicated that speed violation by drivers and bad road conditions contributes greatly in the rate of accidents along the route. Hence the study recommends better road maintenance culture and more sensitization of the road users and enforcement of speed limits.

Adi Sutjipto International Airport is the airport currently operated in Special Region of Yogyakarta (SRY), located near the city centre area. SRY needs to construct a new airport due to the increase in air passengers. The proposed airport, named New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIA) is located in the undeveloped area, away from the city centre. This study is aimed to investigate the impact of airport relocation to the road network and to assess several developments of transportation infrastructures to the new airport.  The analysis was conducted by developing a transport network model using PTV Visum. The secondary data collected from the local government to develop the transport network model, including the development of origin-destination matrices and forecasting purpose.  The scenarios of road infrastructures development and new rail service to the airport in 2025 are then modelled. The results showed that the road infrastructure developed can reduce the number of congested main roads from 9.47% into 5.94%. Rail service to the airport is effective to decrease the traffic congestion at two NYIA roads access and able to increase their average speed from 49.45 and 44.29 km/h into 66.45 and 62.66 km/h.
