Este nos abre para a compreensão da relação entre o Único e o múltiplo, e para a possibilidade de uma era pós-secular pacífica.ABSTRACT: Taking alterity’s (otherness) perspective already implicit in the Gospels, this article shows that this concept assumes a more explicit forms in our times, and some contemporary theologians have been thinking about it, opening new horizons to reflect on pluralism and inter-religious dialogue. This reflection differentiates the vision of plurality in recognizing alterity from other perspectives of unity and plurality based on identity, and it builds a bridge between theological reflections on alterity and current proposals of a broader social dialogue between people of different religious affiliation and materialists, living together in the same political space. It emphasizes that the Christian perspective on alterity is anchored not only on the relationship with the neighbor but also in the relationship with the divine alterity, expressed in the mystery of the triune and monotheistic God and the mysterious relationship of a unique Son with his brothers. From this theological conception of alterity it focuses on the current human living in the multiplicity of languages, cultures, and religions in the view of a new Pentecost. It leads us to understand the relationship between the unique and the multiple, and the possibility of a pacific pos-secular new era.

*This paper uses materials from the World Values Survey and the EuropeanValues Study from 2006-2014 to study the relationship of gender and maritalstatus to life satisfaction. In an analysis of 103,217 respondents from 81nations I find that while there do not seem to be main effects of gender onlife satisfaction – that is, women are no more or less satisfied with theirlives than are men -- gender moderates the effects of geographical region, age, employment status, education, religious affiliation, and attendance ofreligious services on life satisfaction. In particular, there aresubstantial differences in the effects of marital status on lifesatisfaction by gender. The gender differences in most effects are sosubstantial that I argue that it makes no sense to analyze lifesatisfaction data without performing separate analyses by gender. *

The Birth of Law No. 23/2011 marks a new era of transformation of the national charity which has given rise to a new paradigm of charity management in our country. Some rules are the result of constitutive ijtihadin the ?eld of charity gets a reaction from some quarters, especially related to the management of charity by the state authority. Regardless of the debate which led to the material and formal lawsuit, there are several key issues to be further analyzed in relation to the reconstruction of ?qh paradigm evaluated from the perspective of contemporary Islamic law. First, the authorities and the involvement of the state as charities through the agency or institution that is of?cially established or recognized by the state, so that the management of charity can be done effectively, guaranteed. And have legal certainty. Secondly, the absence of sanctions for muzaki who shirk the obligation of charity in Law No.23 / 2011 shows that the payment of charity is voluntary, therefore charity regulations in Indonesia are still considered weak in the legal framework that can bind to the individual or business entity that is exposed to the taxpayer , Third, the reform paradigm of subject, object and charity tas{arruf ?eld have already accommodated in Law No.23 / 2011 in accordance with the principle of mas}lah}atand justice. Fourth, the relationship of charity and tax reaf?rmed in the amendment of new Law charity as?scal incentives for charity payers to make charity as a reduction of PKP (tax deduction), although this provision has not been able to realize the position of charitywhich is more signi?cant as a tax deduction(tax credit).

This article summarizes numerous studies on the relationship of biological processes such as inflammation and thrombosis. The huge role of neutrophils and the extracellular neutrophil traps (NETs) secreted by them has been demonstrated. The discovery of NETs has opened new horizons in the understanding of neutrophil biology and the role of these cells in the body. The use of chromatin in combination with the intracellular proteins, as an effective antimicrobial agent has ancient roots and changes our understanding of chromatin only as a carrier of genetic information. Through NETs, neutrophils can contribute to the development of pathological venous and arterial thrombosis or immunothrombosis, as well as atherosclerosis. NETs release has been shown to be one of the causes of thrombosis in conditions such as sepsis and cancer. The presence of NETs in these diseases and conditions makes it possible to use them or individual components as potential biomarkers. NETs and their components may be attractive as therapeutic targets. Further studies of neutrophils and NETs are needed to develop new approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory and thrombotic conditions. Perhaps long-forgotten drugs will find a new area for effective use.

Social educators, due to their professions, encompass two spheres of action. These professionals are not common subjects in research studies, and even less if the research addresses their use or abuse of technology. The following article seeks to determine the relationship of these professionals with the Internet, from the perspective of their problematic use of it. For this, a quantitative method was utilized with an ex-post facto design, extracting the data from the Spanish version of the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) questionnaire, with a sample of students enrolled in the Social Education Degree (N=206). The results showed scarce significant differences as a function of the sociodemographic variables such as gender or academic year, as well as a problematic use more than an addiction. These results show that perhaps the technological addictions are deviating towards other resources or media that are different to the Internet, in this new era of virtualization

The technological advance of the new era has led to the interconnection of devices, applications, people and data, giving way to the generation of the Internet of Things (IoT). The multiple data collected is so voluminous and variable that it must be stored in Big Data architectures. This evolution has provided the opportunity to have better access, quality and analysis of information, but at the same time, there is a challenge to prevent and mitigate the security risks associated with the relationship between IoT and Big Data, endangering the information collected and the user’ sensitive data, among others. The purpose of this document is to carry out a literature review to collect the security risks found between the relationship of Big Data and IoT, as well as evaluate the current solutions implemented and conclude if they cover the needs for prevention and mitigation of the risk.

This chapter explores the gift relationship. Whether private or socially instituted, the gift relationship appears to embody certain exemplary dimensions of being-with-others and living-together. However, a reflection on this type of gesture or procedure brings to the fore a number of unresolved problems and, for this very reason, occasions a number of misunderstandings. The main difficulty has to do with the indeterminacy of the very term, gift, too often used with respect to profoundly heterogeneous situations. This indeterminacy encourages a tendency to privilege the sense of the word sanctioned by an age-old religious and moral tradition that appears based on common sense and tends to be viewed as the standard by which the other forms of gift can be assessed: the unreciprocated generous gesture. However, this ontology is of little help when one attempts to answer questions such as the following: Who gives what to whom, under what circumstances, and for what purpose? This question concerns intersubjective as well as social relationships. It is therefore crucial to clarify the status of the partners involved and the nature of the “thing” that is offered by one to the other or that circulates between the two partners. Although dual by definition, the relationship of reciprocity cannot be reduced to a one-on-one interaction: It necessarily includes a third element, a thing from the world, which can sometimes be a mere word, or even—when the institution is already in place—an easily recognizable gesture.

In a study of predictors of tuition expenditures on postsecondary education, the role of individual differences in religious affiliation was examined with a national sample of 3,615 individuals. Based on past findings, it was hypothesized that religious affiliation may serve as a moderator of the relationship of tuition expenditures with (a) parental income and (b) prior educational involvement (i.e., type of high school attended). Analysis indicated that religious affiliation may interact with prior educational involvement and so partially account for tuition expenditures.

In recent essays Professor John Hick has argued that serious theological consideration of the relationship of Christianity and other world faiths has become in the present generation for the first time unavoidable; that this must lead to a revolution in theological thought so radical that it can be spoken of as ‘Copernican’; and that the consequent reshaping of Christian doctrine, for which he has made a number of suggestions, cannot but change in deeply significant and quite unprecedented ways the traditional teaching of the Church. In this paper I wish to raise some questions about this ‘Copernican Revolution’, the exact nature of which is not made as clear as we might expect, as a theological response to the present situation, asking whether it is helpful in inter-religious dialogue and acceptable as an account of Christianity, of other living faiths, and of the relation between them.
